I call during the auto center open hours and no one answers the phone in the Auto Center, after a while I get transferred back to main customer service and try again. Done this 3 different times over a 3 hour span of time. Will not ever use their services
Bought tires for my wifes car on Walmart.com and had them sent to the Kenowa Avenue location for installation. A week before going for my appointment I called ahead and told them the vehicle would likely need new tire pressure sensors, as we had been having problems with them. I was told this wouldnt be a problem, and that they do lots of them. When I showed up for my appointment, the service writer was extremely foggy. I had to give him my name, address, and phone number 5-6 times before he got them right, even having to speak very slowly and still getting it wrong. Then he couldnt get the year, make, and model of my vehicle correct in spite of going over it multiple times. The same thing happened for the tire size, if I wanted road hazard on each tire, etc. It didnt give me a very good feeling going into the installation. I shopped in the store while waiting for the car. Five minutes into this, I was paged back to the service center, where the same guy had me go through EVERYTHING all over again! Also again, it took several times before he got all the information correct. At this time I also reminded him of our problems with the tire pressure sensors, because honestly I was having doubts. Roughly an hour later, I go to the service desk to check on it and am told that the tires are on, but they are out of sensors and therefore could not replace them. They went on to say they couldnt get a reading from the current sensors. I was told Id need to go to a dealer to get the sensors fixed/replaced. By this point I was getting angry. I wondered why, having scheduled my appointment a week in advance and having requested sensors in case mine needed replacement, nobody made sure they were on hand. I drove 35 miles one way to have the tires put on and the sensors fixed. Now Ill have to pay someone else to again dis-mount the tires and do the job the right way. Also, the dash light indicating low tire pressure is still on, so I dont know why they couldnt get a reading on it. Extremely disappointed in the work done. Ive had several sets of tires done by them in the past, but theyve lost me as a customer after today.
No wait time, and on a Saturday morning! Thank you so much! You guys are awesome!
DECEMBER 2020. CLOSED CLOSED for Months Closed. I still buy my tires online from WalMart but the Grandville Tire center garage is closed. I can take my last purchase to Plainwell for mounting, but that is a drive. They mount them for free if you buy them from WalMart. They do fine work when open. So check first. I have no idea where all the guys went that worked in the garage. Maybe 2021 they will be back. Dare to Dream.
Good service and good prices. Got in same day i called, staff was kind and did a good job.
Super friendly and amazingly fast.
They never answer the phone, so I drive out there to pick up my tires. I get there during open hours and they tell me that the worker is busy, and to come back in 30 minutes. I wait in the parking lot for 30 minutes and they schedule me for the next day. I get there the next day and theres an issue with the tires. They put the old tires back on and the next day I have a flat. Its been over a week and I still havent gotten my refund for the original tires, so now my car is un-driveable and I cant pay to get it fixed because walmart still has my money. I doubt every experience is this horrible, but this was mine. I would never recommend going here even if the prices are cheap.
They did a great job! Had all four tires replaced and everything else that goes with that. There was a line but thats fine since I had shopping to do anyway.Customer service was on point. About 2k miles now on the tires and all is well. 5/5 stars, would recommend.
I am the type that likes to save money (who doesn’t?). Out the door for an oil change is close to $20. While they change your oil, you can get a little shopping done. They do get busy, but still get the job done pretty quickly.
Took a long time to answer the phone
Service is great and they are affordable, especially for oil change. The waiting time can take a while depending on when you go. Second time doing an oil change here and havent had problems.
I purchased tires here in grandville last week. They notified me this morning that they were in stock. These amazing guys actually were able to mount them almost immediately. Service in the garage and at the inside counter was fast. Thank you Joe, Frank, DeeDee, and the rest of the crew for making my day and giving me one less thing to worry about.Awesome job!!!!!
Everything was really great as of now. Got my car back quicker than expected with no surprises. Department mgr was really nice.
I purchased a new car battery from Walmart. After a few months, my vehicle wasnt starting. I go to the Honda dealership and have them test it, which says my battery is drained and is the problem.I go to Walmart with the Honda results in hand, but to get my new battery (still under 1 yr warranty) Walmart has to test with own equipment. Walmarts tester indicates my battery is fine, and employee Sheila insists it is something Honda missed, although we voice that we dont agree. Back to Honda, leave the vehicle overnight, and pay $75 only to get a report from a more detailed test stating that it is my battery. Back to Walmart, and Sheila impatiently insists that it has to be my motor, something left turned on, something Honda missed. We called the manager, Jeff, the next day, who authorized a new battery. We had the new battery installed, and for the past six months that Ive had the replacement, my vehicle has started normally every time. They do get two stars, because the mechanics told me from the get go that it was probably my battery, and had a very positive attitude. As a college kid, I would buy a battery elsewhere, because I spent $75 that I shouldnt have had to spend, solely because Walmart did not have properly working battery testing equipment. The desk employee didnt believe any of the Honda reports, even though Honda had more advanced testing equipment.
The quality of the work was good, but the guy that checked me in told me he would call my phone when my car was ready, but he didnt. There were a lot of people in front of me so he said it would be 3 hours. As I needed the work done I agreed to wait. After three and a half hours I asked if it was ready only to find out it was ready an hour and a half earlier. I found out that the receipt he gave me at check in could be used to check the status of my car at a price scanner, but I wasnt told this and as I didnt look at it when he gave it to me since I thought it was just my claim check, I wasnt aware of this. Overall Im fine with the car service, just not with their personal service.
I had THE WORST experience here last night. I stopped in last Saturday to get 4 new tires and an oil change. Something I have been doing here for years! They didnt have my tire size, so Jeff had to order them. No biggie. I also explained to him that I had recently had a minor accident and was waiting on my appointment at the auto body shop to fix my drivers side door, so they would have to get in on the passenger side and slide over. This wasnt an issue on Saturday. Monday I get the call that my tires are in. I went after work around 5:15pm. The cranky lady who waited on me stated it would be a 2 hour wait, which I expected (almost as if she wanted me to leave because they were already busy). I explained the situation with my door, and she said they cant do it. Its against their policy to go in through the passenger side door. I asked why and she couldnt give me a reason, just said they cant do it. She sent me to the Manager, Dan. I again explained my situation and he also refused to do it...cut me off before I even finished my story. I was livid. The manager told me it was because he couldnt physically slide over the seat because he was too big and had really bad knees...???? How can you physically change 4 tires on a vehicle but you cant slide over from one bucket seat to another in a mini-van with nothing in between the seats??? Unreal! Maybe its time to retire Dan. He was also upset because Jeff didnt tell me NO on Saturday. I could have gone to another place instead of wasting 3 days thinking that Walmart was going to do my tires, but no...Im was a loyal customer so I waited for my ordered tires to come in...all for this? You just lost one hell of a loyal customer and everyone who will listen to my story. I will take my $500 to a tire place who wont waste my time...oh, and by the way, I had 3 tire places tell me that THEY dont have an issue sliding over my seat. Never again will I be a customer of this Walmart Tire and Auto. NEVER AGAIN!
Had all 4 tires replaced. Maybe I just got them on a good day, but I was in and out in less than an hour. There were only 3 different tires in the store to choose from, as a result ended up paying a little more than I wanted to. Courteous, professional, knowledgeable service.
Great service. Friendly people. Good feedback on the state of oil before change. Walmart might want to integrate auto into their app which i use whenever Im in the store. Because they sell tires, they should provide tire eval, rotation and brake wear like the dealers do all for the same $40.
My husband and I have both purchased tires for our vehicles in the last 9 months at Walmart in Grandville. My tires are marked inside and outside meaning how the tires are put on the rim, 2 of them were put on wrong. My husband was sold 4 tires and 1 of them was a different size than the other 3. Please pay attention to your tires BEFORE you leave this store!!!
This is a very inconsistent shop. I got my tire replaced on Sunday and was rang up by the General Manager, who is awesome, only for the tire to be flat on Monday morning. I went online to check the hours so they could fix their mistake, as I triple checked the tire to ensure it didnt get punctured and was indeed a mechanical error. Online their hours stated 7a-7p, so I drove across town in rush hour traffic, only to arrive to a closed garage that read 8a-5p. Unreal. So I drove all the way back again, this time at 10a to fall within their real hours, and then GOT CHARGED $10 for them to fix THEIR mistake, which was an improperly done bead seal. So, I wasted my time, my gas, and my money to get the working tire I already paid for. Very disappointing.
Auto Department Service Manager Dan is definitely in the wrong business. My daughter took our van in for 4 new tires. He had an attitude when she got there and it only got worse. He was rude and farfrom helpful I would not recommend this place to anyone. We are out west and we took our truck into a Walmart out here for an oil change. The Automotive Department was very personable and helpful. We will go back before we head to Michigan. I think Dan should work in a room, alone, far away from the public
I came on here to give them a bad review and then realized these dingleberries have more 1 stars than anything. I came to pay $40 for the full service oil change but really didnt need it. I just needed them to clear the codes on my dashboard. Got here at 6:40pm. They close at 7. They said by the time they finish with the person in front of me, it will be 7, so they cant take me. Cant, or wont? What about going above and beyond for the customer? Especially of they drove 25 minutes, using precious gas that cost $3.09 per gallon? Its not like anyone was waiting after me, and I got there 20 minutes before they closed. They should have at least asked me what I needed. I cant believe I drove across town to see them!
Never have any employees so they spend too much time closed sadly. When they are open they are usually VERY HELPFUL
Auto Care customer door entrance was locked so i had to walk through the whole store. One guy was working and wasnt the most polite guy.
Quick and courteous, understandably with many cars to service. Great price on my oil change and tire repair (flat).
I used to have really nice terminal protectors on my trucks battery cable. When I got my battery replaced here, these protectors disappeared. Now my battery terminals are getting corroded quickly. Really disappointed. It isnt like these protectors needed to be cut off to change a battery. I used to just move them out of the way when I jump started other vehicles. On the plus side, Walmarts batteries are great. Seven years with zero issues, replaced the battery just to be prepared.
The associate i was talking with was rather rude and seamed unprofessional, while i was getting fruatrated Johnathan came over and very quickly figured everything out and had me all set up with in a few minutes. If not for him i probably would have taken my tires somewhere else to be mounted out of fear that they wouldnt have been done correctly. Im writing this bc with out Johnathans help and great customer service this would have been a 1 star review. His service was 10/10 thank you johnathan!
Horrible customer service. Went to get a price on a tire for my spare, wheeled my spare in. They told me it would be several hours because multiple cars were in front of me. Go back in 2 min later and hes telling a woman its 1 hour. So he tried to deter me from getting my tire fixed. Ridiculous.
Twice in three months tried to get an oil change - showed up several hours before close and was turned away because they had too many customers in front of me. Each time there were two cars. Don’t waste your time with these hacks.
Love it, best prices around, and you can walk around Walmart while waiting
Good price,long wait.
The workers get paid by the hour. So of course a job that takes 1 hr is going to take 3. Because they walk around like their feet are heavy and everything is done in slow motion. They have no respect for a customers time. Said 1 hr wait and its going on 2 1/2 and havent even started on my car....TERRIBLE...
It was a lot better experience than I thought I would have had I will go back great people to work with
Close to early on Saturday. Went across the street to Integrity to get oil change.
They decided to do a random audit during my visit despite cars lined up 6 deep for oil changes and tires. They have no respect for the customers time.
Very easy and fast took about 30 mins
They did scuff my brand new wheels very slightly, but its probably just from the tire machine. They did a great job balancing the big A/T tires and in a timely manner.
They gave me great service here. Fixed my issue and didnt overcharge.
Had a flat. I had them put a new tire on my spare rim. When I went back this morning store was empty the guy was just standing there I told the tech that I wanted the new tire put on the rim and he told me it would be $50. Im at discount tire now and its going to be $30. I wont be back to Walmart for any further work.
Called 3 times a day for a week and a half no one picked up. Some one finally picked up yesterday and told me to just bring my car in in the morning. Get here get ignored by one employee, until i get his attention, then he tells me its appointment only, and to ask the guy at the service desk if they can get me in. Service desk guy defers to the afformentioned employee on whether i could get my tires done today. Thanks for wasting my time?
This is where I take my car to get oil changes. Best place for the money and they even vacuum your car after theyre done!
They have been excellent, personable and professional every time weve visited. Weve been here for battery replacements on a couple vehicles and some tire issues and they have always been great and quite cost-effective.
Wow. Thats all I can say. Worst experience Ive ever had at an auto care place. I bought a set of trailer tires and brought in my rims to have them mounted. After the attendant struggled for 10 minutes to give me a ticket before I left, the manager Scott came over to tell me I couldnt leave my rims for a few days before I picked them up. Why? I asked. Scotty boy says they arent in the business of storing customers tires. For real? Am I in the twilight zone. Am I getting punked? This cant be real. But sure enough, Scott said no and I lost my cool. I will NEVER consider a Wal-Mart for any auto needs ever again. Bunch of fools. Took them down the street and they said no problem and thought Scott was crazy as well. Nice job moron. Hope they fire you.
Get the worst tire service here and all four new tires were bad. I will not shop at Walmart. If you want your car to break down go here. Bad auto service!!
Professional AND fast no problems with service
Service is good, as far as expectations for Walmart, been going here for years, hard workers in the auto area.
The customer service was bad, the man behind the register didnt know nothing, didnt wanna help, he didnt even wanna be there...just bad service.
About 4-5 months ago I bought 4 new tires from Wal-Mart with the lifetime balance and rotation and road hazard coverage. Today was the first time I had them rotated. I use to be a certified mechanic. This job should take 5-10 mins MAX. I was told it would be an hour. 2 hours later they started it and a half hour later it was done. Un-freaking-real. No wonder these morons dont work in a real shop.
Clean, friendly, I suggested you get first in line in the morning, no waiting and youll get out in about 35 minutes.
Online it saids that there open until 7 but there paper on there door saids 5 😡 I got out early for nothing
Great price and complete service package.
Easily the best / most competent tire and lube center inside a WalMart in the lakeshore area. Was told itd be an hour for an oil change and to have a flat fixed and it took 45 mins, Totally satisfied. Ive been to the other lakeshore Walmarts(Holland/Grand Haven) and if they say an hour wait just plan on picking up your car the next day.
Walmart has a terrible service center. I went in for to get screw pulled out of my tire and it was not in sidewall but in the tread area. They said new tires and it would be an hour wait....went to the competitors down the street and they fixed it no problem for free.. I would not recommend the service center to anyone.
Affordable and they did a great job
Walmart honors their tire hazard warranty!!
They do a good job.
Great deal on full synthetic oil changes
Great service and prices!😍
Don’t get oil changed here. Parts of my car were broken and missing after going here. The wait is usually about 3hrs also.
Refused to honor online pricing for Mount and balance of tires, was quoted $22 per tire and online it says $12 per tire. Employee didnt seem to care.
Hours of Operation: 9 AM - 7 PM. Great prices and even better customer service!
Great and quick serviceManager there is outstanding!
Worst service ever! Takes too long just for an oil change and the wait is ridiculous!
Service manager and garage manager are not on same page. You may get an estimate of 30 minutes from one of them and 3 hours from the other.
Tried to call 4 different times(during hours) and the phone just rang and rang. Tried getting the operator and she even said she had been trying to call that department for other people and they just werent answering the phone. So either they are understaffed, or just dont give any priority to phone customers.
The helped me fix a problem another mechanic said he fixed.
Got there at 12 noon did not leave until 1:45pm for a oil change the seem to be short handed at that time on Saturday
My go-to place for an oil change! And a big plus is shopping while waiting!
Great staff, great service.
Staff is overwhelmed with work not a place for my car
Always awesome and quick! Thank you!
Employees are not real mechanics. They tried but only used numatics on a stuck lug whereas my tire iron got it off in less than a minute. The only reason I use them is the discount.
Very good costumer services!
Staff was very nice and helpful.
They serviced my car with the oil change, also checked the tire pressure added some air.Since I have a busy schedule, I was next in line, Thanks for taking care of me.
Always call before you waste your time going here. They might be closed at 3pm.
Terrible service and online says open at 7 am, actually 8am
Gave me a one hour estimate wait time, 2 1/2 hours later my vehicle was pulled into the bay, I watched the staff joke around in the bay for another hour... absolutely unacceptable
You can avoid the long wait from dealerships for a basic maintenance service. Plus you can shop while you wait!!
Been there four times in a row that I was told a two to three hour wait for a oil change at a dead time with one car in front of you really???? How long does a oil change take these days. Poorly run lately.
The auto center is the worst I have ever seen.
Service is horribly slow. Communication is poor.
My problem was taking care of promptly
Didnt go to the auto center
Their 1st come 1st serve policy is stupid, not everyone has 2 to 4 hours to wait, they need more help during busy times and they need to get the job done instead of talking so much, I bought a battery there and ended up putting it in myself because at 7am when they open there is already a 2 to 4 hour wait
Avoid this facilitys tire shop at all costs. Uneducated and managements asst manager Jeff just as clueless as the laborers. Save yourself some money and aggravating times. Call wonderland tire
Good services
Great!!
