When you need Stans for your forgetful brother in law and his sad tubeless setup at 6:01pm, you can count on Mitch and Emily being available to make that situation a whole lot better. At a fantastic price too. Our dream of sealed tires happened! Then our bonus dream of hot lapping the lake that evening was made a success!

The entire team at GRBC went above and beyond to help me prepare for an upcoming bike packing trip. They provided expert advice, exceptional customer service, and outstanding communication throughout the entire process. They even made a special delivery to ensure I had the bike ready for my trip. I highly recommend them.

I don’t know Mitch from the next guy this is 100% unsolicited. I was leaving for a mtn bike trip and my tire was flat late in the day, he stayed late to fix my tire and keep me on the trail, cannot thank him enough and speaks to him and the company. You won’t find a better group/bike shop. Thank you Mitch!!

If you are looking to have a Cannondale Lefty shock serviced or in my case repaired, this might be the shop you are looking for! I am happy I was told of this place not only because they could repair it locally but they also got the repair done pretty quickly also.Super happy of the service that I even purchased them a 12 pack of Two Hearted.

I took my bike in for a tune up to make the shifting a little smother. I following any recommendations, getting a few hundred bucks worth of parts and a tune. They must have set the limits improper for the derailleur, because after about 10 minutes of riding the derailleur got caught in the spokes. The spoke actually tore a hole straight through the rim completely destroying the rim and derailleur. The whole reason I paid for someone to tune my bike in the first place was to try to avoid something like this. They were able to warranty the rim from velocity for their own mistake, and they still made me pay for the new derailleur. Its okay though they gave me a killer deal. (Sarcasm)Two and a half weeks later I finally had my bike back and it rides well again.

Stopped in to see if they had a valve for my rear fox dps shock. I was told We may have something like that in stock but you need to bring your bike in to make sure it fits. I know what I needed and that the part I requested fits my shock. Very odd. They did have a lot of Park Tools in stock.

I never write reviews but I had such a positive experience I felt compelled to share. Went there to the Ada location to buy a bike for my son and they directed to to the Fulton location as they felt a bigger size would be better for him. Already impressed, as they could have just made the sale and moved on. Drove to Fulton and they were just extremely friendly and more than willing to answer any questions I had. Went above and beyond and chatted with my son. I will go out of my way to purchase my next bike from these guys. Keep up the good work and good vibes.

I have always had good experiences here. I bring my bike in to be serviced before upcoming races and they have always done an excellent job with my bike. They also take the time to answer all my questions and talk through concerns I have about my bike, or just talk through my bike setup with me to make sure I am prepped for race day.

Top notch bike shop. Got a tuneup on a new to me bike, then a few days later my rear wheel was clipped by a driver, un-truing the wheel. Took my bike back today and they trued it back up for no charge in the time it took to eat a sandwich next door at Schnitz. Definitely will be bringing all my business back here and would recommend anyone looking for a bike shop to strongly consider GRBC. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and are more than willing to help. Thanks GRBC!

I stopped in to see if I could borrow a torque wrench to tighten the 4 bolts on my headset because I bought the wrong kind of torque wrench. Naturally, I brought a few bucks to tip for this sort of thing. They insisted they could do it and “just charge for labor”. 30 seconds of labor later and 4 tightened bolts, the labor charge is $10. If this was some kind of quick fix that required actual bike mechanic skill I would understand, but a few tightened bolts?I’ve had nothing but good experiences here but overcharging on a such a quick and simple thing is a great way to ensure future services, merchandise or bikes are purchased elsewhere.. there are too many other good shops in the area.

The majority of the crew here rolled over spring/summer of 2016, being replaced by staff from the Ada location. I prefer to do my own mechanic work, but when I get stuck I bring it in to the mechanics here as I trust them to do good, honest work based on personal experience and reviews from friends. Theyll often do quick repairs on the fly while recommending a coffee or deli sandwich from next door. The best part is that theres always plenty of parking; they all ride to work.

Ive driven to 2 separate locations now looking for specific products that are listed online, that clearly say in stock, pick up today, only to have my time wasted by associates trying to sell me comparable products. I cant speak to the bicycle side of things but of youre going to have an online inventory, at least keep it updated to prevent situations like this.

Purchased my Cannondale cross bike here 3 years ago. The sales and service staff were / are friendly and knowledgeable (Mason, Ted, Steve...etc). I genuinely like all of them. Have purchased all of my bikes and related gear from them for years. It was always nice knowing they were close and I could stop in anytime and have the service teams make quick adjustments as needed. Now, heres why Im giving 2 stars....One of the big reasons I purchased my bike at ABS was because they offered free life time tune-ups when you purchased your bike there. It was a great incentive to get my bike tuned up each season and again, was a big factor in my decision to purchase. That said, I stopped in last night because I was having a problem with my gears. The mechanic was great and solved my problem in short order. However, when I asked about doing my seasonal tune up, I was informed that the store is under new ownership (new owner also owns GR Bicycle Shop) and the new owner decided he was loosing too much money ($70K per year) by sticking with the lifetime tune up policy. Because of this, he decided to eliminate the free lifetime tune up and instead offer a preferred price of $45. I understand implementing this policy of no free tune ups for new purchases, but not grandfathering it for previous purchasers unacceptable. If the almighty dollar is more important than honoring a long-standing commitment to the customers of the shop, then this isnt the kind of ownership I want to do business with. Who knows, maybe they are big enough now that they dont care if they loose customers as a result of the new policy?I do know this, by not grandfathering my $45 tune-up (which probably costs him $25), he just lost out on my $500-$1000 per year of related purchases....plus the shot at supplying my new 29, which Im picking up for the Ice Man this November.Bottom line....from this point forward, the crew at Village Bike Shop in Cascade will have all of my business.

Great bike shop with some of the best mechanics in town. Im picky about my bike(s) and have brought in bikes several times until dialed in. I love that most of the bikes and staff sell purpose-driven machines - Theyll set you up on something (or talk to you about everything else in the shop) that fits the purpose youre riding for rather than what has the best profit margin or what theyre trying to move.Ill admit, I was a little let-down when the purchase of Ada Bike shop to Grand Rapids Bicycle ridded the lifetime free tune ups, although, In my experience when everyone got free tune ups, the waiting time was less than ideal. We still get preferred pricing, and now we get more brands and more locations to choose from with the merger. Still my go-to for most bike-related purchases.
