Huge selection of Indian goods, some Ive never even heard of! Also found the curry we were looking for which was a nice bonus 👍🏻Only thing that holds back from a five is the floors could be a little better maintained

They have a great selection. Love shopping at the Indian market but dont get there too often.The only thing I do not like about the market is nothing is priced and they shelf tags for prices, many are missing. So much of what you buy, you have no idea what you are paying until you get the receipt unless you ask first before they ring you up.There have been items I have inquired about the price and some was more than I wanted to pay but it was only because I am not that great at Indian food yet. Not sure if I would like it or use it. If the price is okay I am willing to try it.🙂The staff is nice.They do not know their products well either. I sometimes have problems with spicy foods and if I ask if it is hot in flavor. Most of the time is VERY hot.So although they speak english I am not sure if it is a communication problem, a lack of knowledge of the product, just the fact they want to sell it or just not that hot in spice to them.So sometimes what I get is just not for me, but I do love indian food!

This store has plenty of expired items including baby soap and products. Buyers beware and double check the expiry dates. They were so kind but they have more expired products. Some one please report to concern food safety department to do a audit.

This is a fun little place. Even if you do not love Indian cuisine, which I really dont understand how that can be, they have plenty of spices that everyone uses from cinnamon to garlic. The spices are much less expensive hear than anywhere else! I will definitely be back and hopefully soon. So many goodies here to discover for the first time and to enjoy over and over again. You wont regret stopping in. Again, I love this place and cant wait to be back!

It’s a nice store. There are a lot of varieties and the prices are reasonable. The staff was very helpful and polite. I saw a review here about expired products but I didn’t notice any products that were expired. I will be back again.

Had a lot of the ingredients I needed for the dishes I was creating. Staff person gave us good advice on which brands and where to find items. An intriguing little store with LOTS of different types of flours, oils, herbs, and world foods from Indian culture. Prices $$$ and would return again on our next meal planning adventure.

Not the first time. Expired products on the shelves. Sample pic.Seems the rules aren’t that stringent unless someone is affected by the product. Unethical though. It was actually the fourth time I found this. Asked them once and I was told it was missed and will be removed. Apparently not.

This place is packed with spices beautiful veggies and a variety of products. I enjoy going there for their Thai pepper. Service is friendly. Very clean store.

I came to spend quarantine with my Mom from California Bay Area. This place rivals some of the best spice places there. Wondetful selection and nice people.

This store is a great place to shop for spices and Indian ingredients. Prices are so much better than a store like Meijer, and selection is comprehensive. Staff is helpful and will take you right to what youre looking for.

Large selection, but the person working the counter really didnt know the products well, unless it was a language barrier problem. I ask for help in finding a few products without a spice in it, and almost everyone they gave me had that spice in it.

Good one.. getting all indian items at one place. Curry leaves is bit costly..If they keep in seperate Bunches with price tag that would be fine..

I have seen Spice of India grow over the years. I think is the best Indian grocery and spice store in West Michigan if not the West side of the State. The owners are nice and always there to help. I wish them well especially during this unprecedented time. Thank you for remaining open to fill need in the community.

This place is awesome, I love it. Every spice you could imagine. They also had a pretty nice selection in the grocery section.

The staff are amazingly friendly and the prices are great. They have so many great quality spices and a wide variety of Indian based grocery items. They are helpful if you have any questions and they do not make you feel silly for asking basic questions if you are venturing out on your cooking skills.

This place is fun to visit. Its a full pantry of exotic foods and ingredients. I promise youll find something you will want to try. It is a big store but well organized and a huge variety of items. I found black salt for less than a third the price of my local grocers and lovely scented incense. Good service, friendly and clean. Good variety of products.

Only store 60 miles from me, Great store, FRESH PRODUCE on MONDAY and THURSDAY only. They have it in the big cooler, not outside like many others that i have seen in Chicago. Great billing system. Very organized and everything is proper. Many items. Great Spices, lots of different brands

The young girl who works there is full of attitude. We all work very hard, but workers should know to keep their attitudes out of their work place. I was standing at the register and handing her money, change first, and she just stood there rolling her eyes and raised her voice “are you done”. I only come to the store because of the owner, he is a sweetheart. However, they will be losing my business if they keep workers like this.Additionally, 50% of their items are expired SO PLEASE WATCH OUT. if you bring back expired items, they always doubt you. And on multiple occasions they have overcharged me or “forgotten” to give me my change. Always ask for a receipt and always double check their prices. I understand they have been a local business here since a long time, but as vendors they should have higher standards and better work ethics. I love local businesses, but don’t take advantage of your customers and over charge them!

As a chef this is my number one place to go for Indian and Pakistani products. Bulk spices for cheap. They have everything including cooking utensils and produce. If you are looking for Indian ingredients this should he your first and only stop.

Probably worst customer service I ever experienced. I traveled 200 miles to get my groceries and spices from here, when I asked for help the cashier girl at the counter didn’t care to respond and was busy with phone leaving a customer!!!! after couple of seconds she answered without even looking at me. Later I got help from a Hispanic gentle man. Very disappointed, Id recommend going elsewhere

Spice of India have almost everything you can possibly think of, from jaggery, spices, Indian vegetables to sweets and snacks.The store is well organized and things are easy to find. The owner and staff there are helpful and friendly.They are usually very busy stocking. I recommend this place.

They stock a wide variety of Indian groceries, however some of the items I wanted to purchase was either kept frozen or expired. One of the staff near the back of the store was polite but the younger woman at the register was very rude the last 2 times Ive been in. Not only by ignoring me while they read their book but by saying I had to use cash when they allow you to use a card. That last purchase was not large but i ld rather pay the 25 cents and use my card than try using cash that I hardly ever carry.

They are always out of certain foods and the freezers are always messy; makes it difficult to find product. Whenever I ask if they have something in stock they always say no but there has been many times they have said no and I end up finding it anyways. I only go here because its the nearest store to me.

The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful! I love that they always have variety of brands in the item youre looking for, whether it be rice (which has its own side room), dried beans, spices, or grocery. The produce is always fresh!

Great place to find spices for a good price!

I’ve been there with my family so many times and every time it’s been a great experience. They usually have what I look for and if they don’t, they try to let me know when it’ll be in so that I can make time to come back in. The owners are so sweet and kind and all the employees are always so helpful even when they seem a little busy. I’d definitely recommend this place for your india grocery shopping but also the bangles but they are so beautiful. I got a few pairs and they fit perfectly. I feel like since they aren’t corp’d they’re able to sell more than Patel Bro’s bcuz they’ve got a wide variety of different brand when it comes to spices and it’s absolutely amazing! I definitely can’t recommend this place enough.

Great selection of spices and foods from all over India. My friend from India prefers this store to others in the area. I can usually get ThumsUp cola. They also sell frozen items and various tinware. Service is not fast, but they are friendly and helpful.

Check expiry dates before buying the stuff from here. Most of their spices, drinks, juices are expired. I got rice which was expired almost 2 months ago, soft drink expired 2 months ago, masala pack expired 3 months ago. Be careful.

Air conditioning is switched off. Very expensive and expired products of 2-3 months are stored by this retailer. Once you complain and leave the counter, owner would happily pick up the item and put it back to shelf until another individual notices the product expired.
