Today being Sunday the store was extremely busy and thats a good thing. As a general rule the store is clean and well stocked. Two employees did speak to me made me feel really good, most of the time no one acknowledge you are there.
Great prices and selection of vegetables, plus the only place in Grand Prairie that Ive found that sells Del Monte ketchup. Theyll keep my business just for that
The best place for menudo according to my wife! Worth the trip...
Great service and prices
Terrible service from the cashier alondra terrible attitude.!also she kept talking to another employee jaziel while I was speaking to her .
The cashier named Jaziel/Jaazias was rude and kept talking to the other girl cashiers bad service.
This grocery store was very well stocked and seemed clean and organized. I went for an advertised special on chuck roast, they had a lot of the roasts available and they were easy to find. All the employees were friendly and wore masks. They had one employee standing at the carts (buggy) wiping them down with disinfectant while another employee gathered them from the parking lot.
The meat department needs serious attention, the coolers are leaking blood out the front I seen to of the attendants serving customers not wearing any gloves 🤢 the place is a serious health hazard
It’s my favorite latin supermarket! I can easily do my family’s monthly grocery shopping. They have plenty of vegetables and fruit.
This place is now really expensive had not been here in a few months now I realized why prices have sky rocketed
Some meats were dis colored.Prices on some things are dollors more than other places
This place is great for Mexican groceries. If your looking for meat then look no further because its the freshest meat I have found in DFW so far. The pan dulce is really good and at one of the best prices I have found. They also have a great selection of cakes.
This market cares about their employees and customer. They have a cleaning routine (thats amazing) and make you sanitized your hands when you walk in 🙌.Food court is clean. Meat area as well. keep up the good work. Thank you.
Super friendly staff, competitive prices and fresh produce and meat. Make sure and get some fresh guacamole while youre here.
I really enjoyed shopping for the fruits and vegetables.
My favorite market in Grand Prarie.
Everyone is wearing a mask. Including children. Lost my business forever.
Worse store people haves no manners like most people born in a barn...in express lane with people way over 15 items and they open a lane take a person with way more...hate this store
Great supermarket. Just like being in Mexico.
I used to shop there but I had to stop going due to the meet (pork) having a stink to it. I had to keep throwing it away. I did it at least five different times. Place is good just the meat was my only issue.
Great Latin Market just like being in Mexico.
I found the store to be nicely stocked and with delicious looking meats and produce. With everything going on, I discovered something new and exciting. People, get out of your comfort zone (white supermarkets) and try a Latin market. That spicy food you love, well they have the seasoning and meat all ready for cooking.
Never ran out of 1 gallon milk due to the severe cold/snow storm in 03/2021
Cleanliness, best prices on carne de fajita and good customer service. Parking lot is kinda wild but its worth the trouble.
I dont recommend going here on weekends, they are sooooo... busyI spent 30mins in line at the meat counter waiting to be served.
Always a treat. Easily the best prices on veggies and fruit. Great Ceviche, and the salsas are incredible. Sweet Staff. I go shop every Monday.
Great selection, friendly people.
Good Mexican food and drinks but they had no tamales. I wanted to eat one.
Good quality of produce.
The place is clean and service is great..
Absolutely love this place!! The people are so friendly. Great selection!
Exelent store all vegetables, fruts, meets, everithing Is fresh
The cash register was fast and accurate. Nice
Staffs isn’t the friendliest 👎all seem annoyed when we said excuse me when we tried to get by them. No one social distances. Mask aren’t properly worn by most of the staff, the cashier didn’t even say a hello when we checked out. Kinda disappointed.
I love this place. Great prices on meat and produce. Plus all the aguas and best food Ive seen. I will be back often!!
Planning a cook out they have some good stuff 😋
Employees are friendly and very helpful. Meats are fantastic.
Its the best store prices are very reasonable. Im happy to shop there always a friendly face there from when you get in the store and out
Love it they got pretty much anything you want or need 😉
This day at 8 am there were no bolillos, only packed for days, I was told to come back at 9 am and there was none. and that according to the managers instructions there would be bolilloss until noon, a prestigious store does not have fresh produce, strongly mo recommended that place
Its okey dokie
Real Mexican food up in this place
This is my favorite grocery store in GP. I obviously dont speak Spanish - the ready to go food here is excellent. I get tamales at least once a week... the hot sauce is on point. They have a great selection, excellent fresh fruit and vegetables. Awesome selection of meats. Most of the employees dont seem to speak English but everyone is super nice and patient with me to make sure we understand each other. I love this place.
I only gave it four stars because when its busy you have to fight to get someone to take your order for the meat market that being said they have the best meat for the best prices hands down. I pick this one over El Rancho and La Michoacana every time
Finally made it inside. Produce section was huge with plenty of merchandise per item to choose from. Prices of the produce were lower than most of the other stores. The meat area had a large selection with some decent prices. Noticed the national branded item prices a bit high in several product areas. The employees we encountered were cordial and eager to assist. We will definitely be returning for portions of our shopping.
The prices of meat and vegetables are great, I also like that I can get a horchata while shopping. The Mexican bread is also fresh and the cream is homemade, the quality is amazing. The only thing I find creepy are the men, you cant be an attractive woman and do some shopping without someone staring at you, cat calling, following, or whistling at you... Kinda creepy.
Good store everything clean but the carniseria employers no using the mask correctly
I give El Rio 5 stars. Today I went shopping, i thought it was going to be crazy in there but it was business as usual. What i liked about todays visit n was happy they did that was a nice lady at the front entrance wiping the grocery carts down with sanitizer. That my friends does not happen at other stores. Big ups rio grande for trying to keep your customers safe.👍👍👍👍
Its great coming here. Havent had any of the food in a while but it was good when I did eat from there. Now I just come for the groceries. Fruit is always at a better deal here than other grocery stores. Been wanting to get shrimp from there but havent had the chance. One day.
Good deals on produce, deli, and meat. BEWARE, they will handle your pork, chicken, and beef with the same pair of gloves. They never change gloves when handling meats and they will hand you the bagged product dirty from the mixed meat juice. Be cautious of cross contamination when picking up bagged meat and bagged deli. Bring hand sanitizer. Also, to shop here you must be a smart shopper. You MUST know your meats. I really recommend you smell your meat and look at it for freshness. They do sell old meat off the counter. If youre buying store packaged meat, please check your meat and the dates on it. That Ive seen, they dont pull out expired meat from the shelves.2/5 because, while I do go for the sales, I really wish a health inspector would come and look at the meat department.
You can beat their prices but you cant beat their meat.
Service is always great and food is always fresh. Spanish is not the only language spoken here! They do have people who speak English too but this is definitely a place for native Spanish speakers. The prices are fairly cheap and the checkout service is always quick, plus the people are really friendly.
I love this store. Being in Texas with all the stores saying to buy Texas first the prices of foods is outrageous. More expensive than NYC even. This store the prices make sense for living in Texas .
It was amazing wonderful employees such helpful & friendliest employees in the produce and meat department I found everything I needed for my Christmas dinner for my family in 30 minutes not crowded sweeties cashier thank you del Rio congrats another satisfy costumer .
Good food. It gets a little packed with the whole big Mexican families going grocery shopping but they have a good selection of foods. Their restaurant food is tasty and reasonable. Parking can be scarce.
They always have good produce. Fresh and right priced.. Clean store
Mama Julia Fresco is delicious.
Fresh, fresh produce with great pricing. Wide selection of meats cut to choice. Cultural Hispanic market, so some of your more familiar shelf brand items may be missing. Good pricing, busy most times but they have adequate staff to keep the lines moving. Worth the stop to pick up groceries.
Nice store nice people. Good price on their products
First time going to store..Found my Corn Husk..will be back to shop
The little restaurant they have in there is delicious, the drinks to, the staff are friendly. Recommend this place to eat.
We were there working good store, great people
The never had empty shelves...fresh veg and fruit anytime.
Good
Good
Nice and clean place, good price on freshproduce. You can eat there, be early or betterskip the food. The sweet bread was one of the best...was.
Good staff. Quick
Everything is great but they really need to teach some cashiers good customer service skills, and have a smile when doing theyre job. Thats the only issue i find specialy on the cashier on the express lane on 3/1/2020 at around 7:20pm.
Fruit its always fresh
Always have what I need to cook and clean
They always have great produce at amazing prices.
I shop here for fruits n veggies. Their meats are cut clean
Great tacos! Barbacoa y fajitas are my favorite! They give you a lot of meat and they have a friendly service. Not fancy but good food!
I LOVE MY EL RIO GRANDE MEXICAN STORES, GREAT PRICES ON THE MEATS. REALLY ALL IN THE STORE, THEY ALWAYS HAVE WHAT I NEED.
Gets crowded worth being there
Great Mexican food already made. Lots of products, fruit, bread from Mexico. Nice, helpful staff. Its 30 minute drive but all worth it
Some prices of some produce and selected meat items are very reasonable during their specials. The prices are not stable. They change often and some other products are unreasonably expensive.
What can I say this place has amazing produce! The parking is a bit terrible but you can usually find a space pretty easily everything just seems to be very compacted. The employees seem to be nice but a lot of them seems to not speak English but theres enough that do as to which you can get your point across so its not really a problem. Other than that thats all I can really say its a really great store and the produce is so much better than the stores surrounding my area which happens to be Krogers Albertsons and two Wal-Marts.
Always great deals and awesome meats in the meat market
Love this market, always a variety of vegetables & fruits, cheeses, meats, Mexican pastries, the yummy food from the restaurant, there is a little bit of everything.
I love Rio Grande is the best market ever.
Love this market! Ery day a case of water, bananas, grapes, monsters, cash! Kept my crew up and working beautifully! Thankyou and Godbless ! #switchtohempbags #hempisthefuture
This was my first visit and I am very happy. Cheap prices, very nice employees and a great selection of meat. I will bring my family again.
THE FRESH FRUIT JUICE WAS GREAT....THEN YOU HAD A BIRD FLYING AROUND THE BREAD AND VEGE AREA WHILE 3 EMPLOYEES JUST SAT AROUND TALKING AS IF NORMAL AND WAY TO MANY FLIES ON THE SO CALLED FRESH BREAD TO NOT JUST THROW IT OUT
Im happy because I found all that I need... With excellent prices. Thks El Rio Grande
Very clean and organized store!
Very large selection of Latin American food products and vegetables. I recommend their food court, it has nice meals, but make sure you got heartburn meds, almost all their dishes are a tad spicey.
Love this store. Lots of Variety in Produce and Veggies. Fresh meat optional at their Meat Bar.
The little restaurant they have in there is delicious, the drinks to, the staff are friendly. Recommend this place to eat.
Having Mexican for dinner? This is your place!Having anything else for dinner? Theres a Kroger up the road. What I like about the Mercado is that it reminds me of Mexico... not like, REAL Mexico, but ya know... the border towns where Americanized Mexicans hang out! They have a wide selection of Mexican food products, and the meat is typically fresh. They have a Taqueria attached that serves from FREAKING AMAZING Horchata (and other various beverages)! The staff speaks English for the most part, and theyre always friendly, which is a plus. The only downside is that I know I cant go here for most things I need. Im REALLY happy about the Kroger on Maple and Med. District now, because I can go there to do most of my shopping.Anyway, Id say give the El Rio Grande a try, and if you dont like it, go to Kroger. Its not for everyone, but its a good little experience. They have corn and nachos during the evening time sometimes!
Despite the must within the setting, and lurking flies, I would give El Rio Grande a 3/5 because, uniquely, they sell goods thats not supplied in any other local grocery store. Its location is reasonable for any local pedestrian, or resident within neighborhoods in the midst of busy roads, schools, and other available businesses near by.
I go here for the deli food. Authentic and delicious. Also, their groceries are vast and fresh.
Mexican supermarkets are good place to get something to eat they have real authentic food.. this place had all the checkout lines open even though there wasnt very many people there I like it
Terrible customer service
Very good Latino Market, music is good, there are some flies in the fruit section and the meat section doesnt look so sanitary, but other than that its not half bad
The only reason I rate this location 3 is because of the checker I got. Joseph was very unpleasant. No good afternoon, and no thank you for shopping with us. Absolutely no smile. Seems like it a was a chore having to be there. Well see if my next visit deserves a better rating
Wasnt impressed the store is very dirty your vegetables were not very good. Theyre all like overdone past-due lettuce was brown high price for that so I think you got a lot of improvements to do sorry
I would not recommend to shop there. Not only are they over priced the store staff have shown to favor mexicans over white complected people. They are very rude and naty
