They were booked solid, however, when someone didn’t show up they pulled my truck in and had me out of there within an hour! We have bought several vehicles from Cornhusker Toyota over the years. I consider Dan Arnold the best person to call for advice on any new purchase. He always makes sure I get exactly what I want. When you visit the lot, nobody falls all over you, there has in my experience, never been any pressure sales tactics ever. Professionals through and through.

Both Levi Randall (Sales Advisor) and John Crayne (Finance Manager) of Cornhusker Toyota-Honda set the bar across the board for a perfect customer experience. From the moment I reached out with a brief inquiry, Levi was responsive and extremely knowledgeable. He not only addressed my questions, but also walked me through the events that would follow. Next, John concluded the process in a seamless, timely and professional manner. Now with that being said, both Levi and John’s attention to detail was unparalleled and clearly went beyond all expectations!

I’ve been a 35 year customer at Cornhusker Toyota. Things were better in the past. I took my wife’s 4Runner in for service in November. Oil change. When we picked it up they had a list of three things that needed to be repaired on it, $2700 worth. SUV has 40,000 miles on it. I took it to an independent repair shop for inspection and they said none of it needed repaired. Can’t trust anyone these days.I bought a 2020 Tundra from them and told me I couldn’t get the options I wanted on the model I wanted to buy. So I went ahead and bought the truck. Two months later the same model truck is in stock with the options I wanted. More lies. All they wanted was to sell me the truck that was in stock. The Columbus Toyota dealer now tells me I could have gotten those options if they (Cornhusker) would have ordered it for me. Customer loyalty means nothing to them. No more business from me at Cornhusker Toyota.

Buyer beware! Used to be friends with salesman Patrick O’Boyle for 20 years but not anymore after being lied to about a vehicle I bought from him. Since I am in Colorado, I trusted him to sell me a good vehicle but after driving over 400 miles from Colorado to pick it up, I lost all oil pressure within three miles and am now stranded until I can get it fixed somewhere else. Patrick says, ”it’s not my fault and it’s not like it happened right when you started it”. If this is the way he treats a long time friend, imagine how he will treat you! This is who Cornhusker Auto employs.

Underhanded, deceptive, shysters. These are words I would use to describe Cornhusker Toyota, its management and staff. They think it is ok to lie and conceal mechanical problems in some sales transctions. Hmmmm, if they can sometimes justify it in their shady minds, where do they draw the line? Im sure I can expect a response from the manager for all to see pointing out that I bought a vehicle wholesale making it ok to lie? I think not! IT IS NEVER OK TO LIE, CHEAT, OR STEAL AND THAT IS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME!! Over $1700 in repairs needed that were undisclosed.

I made a mistake using aftermarket metal valve stem caps and broke a valve stem the night before I left for a family vacation as the cap had frozen to the valve stem. I drove the first 650miles on my full sized spare, luckily Cornhusker Toyota was in the town of my first stop. I arrived shortly before 8, they were able to get me in right away as the service manager performed a scheduled oil change to help squeeze me in. While I probably wont have the opportunity to purchase a vehicle from them as I live in Wisconsin, I hope my experience helps show what great service they offer. Thank you again Cornhusker Toyota!

While traveling home to Vermont from a Wyoming fishing/camping trip pulling my travel trailer, I was able to get an appointment at Cornhusker Toyota to have my Tundras oil changed while I waited. They were the only Toyota dealer (I tried 3 others) that would schedule my request on 3-5 days notice! The service advisor was courteous and got me in and out within an hour. All was in order as he went over the multi-point inspection and, since I was anxious to get back on the road again, I didnt take the time to open the hood. Two days later, after climbing a steep hill, which apparently taxed the engine for the first time since the oil change, I began to smell burning oil. I pulled over, tried to open my hood, only to find the hood latch broken. After some difficulty, I was able to open it and to my surprise, the engine was awash in oil! THE OIL FILLER CAP was LEFT ON TOP OF THE BATTERY! Fortunately, it was still there. The oil measured between the marks on the dipstick, so I only lost about a half quart or so, enough to spray the underside of the hood, engine cover, drivers side of the engine and the firewall...what a mess.Once home I brought the truck into my local Toyota dealer, had them change the oil and filter. According to the technician, the oil appeared to have been changed but a Toyota filter had not been used! This, plus a new hood latch cost me $128.I have written to Cornhusker via their website contact us button and sent a similar inquiry to Toyota via the same process but so far, no response from either! So, Cornhusker gets 1 star for getting me an appointment and getting me out quickly. Anyone can make a mistake, but when they do, they should own it and make an attempt to make amends. If they do, Ill upgrade their status accordingly in a subsequent post!10/23/19 Update: Cornhusker Manager Rick Alexander called me today to apologize for their oversite and offered to reimburse me for the extra extra expense I incurred because my oil filler cap being left off. He was still looking into the non-branded oil filter issue. So, it took a second submission of my complaint to Toyota to shake this loose, but Cornhusker did come through and make me whole in the end. In my opinion, thats good customer service which deserves an umproved rating to 4 stars!

Awful . . .times infinity. We took our vehicle here for a safety recall a couple years ago. A year after performing the recall, we had to buy new tires. The tire/auto shop told us the car could not be aligned properly because [Cornhusker Toyota in Grand Island, Nebraska] had permanently epoxied the alignment to be permanently fixed/set (not adjustable) as part of the recall. Although this was not ideal because it could never be adjusted again, it was in fact what the recall required. The only problem was, Cornhusker set it permanently out of alignment (badly); they set it in the red. The tire company told us that it would result in our tires wearing badly and would likely ruin them quickly and that we should take it back to the dealer and have them resolve their work. We made an appointment and waited 4 weeks to get in. Cornhusker did their own alignment test, which reflected the same results (still have them in hand). Cornhusker Toyota in Grand Island, Nebraska admitted that it was out of alignment and that they had permanently set it there during the recall, but they said they were not going to do anything about it because they had already received their money for the repair. (They said we should have figured it out sooner. Seriously?) They asked us to pay them an additional $600 for parts plus labor if we wanted them to put it back to where it could be adjustable again (and undo the safety recall work). One year later (today), we had to have a tire leak fixed. The tire shop pointed out that the back rear tires (where the alignment problem was) had completely worn on the insides (but not the outside) to the point that they refused to fix them because they were no longer safe. Front tires were fine. Outside treads were fine. Just like the alignment tests showed they would wear. We discovered metal was showing and that the tires were peeling off. These were 80,000-mile tires that were completely ruined within months. We had to make an emergency stop in another town and buy new tires. We called the original tire dealer back. Surprisingly, they told us they were so alarmed by what we were told the year before from Cornhusker that they remembered us and the situation. They also had made notes about it in their system and were able to pull those up for us. After stopping into Cornhusker today, talking to multiple people in person and on the phone and receiving no resolution, we finally got Toyota to open up an investigation. That was the only way we finally got a manager to call us back. He said that he was aware that we contacted Toyota, that he didnt care, and that he wasnt going to do anything about the situation. He then blamed it on us for not knowing that they would be permanently setting the alignment out of whack and that he didnt care if it was done out of alignment. He said that we should have called them out on their shoddy (my word) work earlier. He ended by saying that if Toyota wanted to give him more money to make the situation right, hed maybe do something about it. But if that didnt happen, then he wasnt going to do anything about it. He said he was going to email back Toyota and let them know that. Our only course for resolution at this point is through paperwork and getting a court date. It shouldnt have to be like this. It was only a matter of hundreds of dollars to make it right, not thousands. My family of 4 could have been killed on the Interstate today had we not discovered the tires were falling apart in time due to the shoddy misalignment and lack of care from Cornhuskers recall work. All this to avoid hundreds of dollars required to make the situation right? 4 lives in jeopardy to save a few hundred dollars? That is [insert 4-letter expletive] up. All we get for a response is we dont care. Even your run-of-the-mill poor business doesnt put this much effort into being this reckless and apathetic. This place is on a whole other level. Cornhusker Toyota in Grand Island, Nebraska — BUYER BEWARE.

Zero stars should be an option. Took car in on Monday, said it would be ready Wednesday. Called Thursday because no one had contacted me. Told me my car was ready, went to pick it up and cant find my bill. Then they proceed to lie to me again saying they are still working on it and it will be ready today. Since I am not a stupid woman, walked out back to find my car in lot, not even started yet. Go in to ask for my keys and they lie to me again calling back to make sure nothing has been taken apart. I can tolerate bad service, but not being lied to multiple times. Own up to your mistakes and I may have let you fix my car. Dont understand how you can treat people like this. I am a few months late posting this review, but am finally getting around to it. This past summer I was traveling across the country and completing a 33 hour drive and move, alone in my 2008 Toyota. En route to California, my engine suddenly started having issues in Nebraska so I pulled into the cornhusker Toyota to try to figure out what was wrong with it (I know nothing about cars). It was a Saturday and I had no idea they were about to close, but with no appointment the head of the service shop took the time to take a look at my vehicle and explain what was wrong. I lost his business card in the move so I don’t remember his name, but he was so so great and reassuring and stayed past closing to call over to another mechanic in the area who he knew would be open and to get me in for service that afternoon. He didn’t even charge me anything for the time and effort he put into my car.I am a 23 year old woman, and having car trouble in the middle of unfamiliar territory was not something I was at all prepared for, but I cannot thank the men over in the service shop more for making sure I was taken care of. I wish I remembered your name, but I hope you see this post and know that I still remember how terrified I was when this ordeal happened, and to this day I am grateful and relieved I pulled into this particular Toyota dealership. Thank you so so much and wishing you the best.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I decided to do so for this Toyota dealership. First of all let me give you a list of what you will expect when visiting this facility.1. Horrible management/rude service advisors2. Oil changes take an hour or moreLike really? If youre in there for repairs prepare to wait alot longer then originally told. I mean yes i get that repairs take time and diagnosis isnt easy, but if theyd hire and actually keep the same techs they might have a better flowing system. Which brings me to my next point.3. Turn over rate is so BAD. You really cant build a customer-business relationship when you see different people especially techs there every time you go in for service. I really dont know whos going to work on my car anymore!4. The building is literally falling apart. Everthing looks so old and worn down, the shop is so dim lighted, dirty, unorganized that you feel sorry for the techs that are there for that month (hence the turn over rate ha). Toyota is a great brand but cornhusker blemishes its good name. Oh and the waiting area!!! Is that a joke? I sat there and waited for them to do my oil change for 2 hours a few months ago, i was hungry. I got up to see what snacks they had, apart from old mints, they had what seemed to be a good cookie...until i saw the expiration date...yep cant say they do to well in that area either5. To make this short because i could go on, i will no longer go to this establishment for service or repairs. I find that i can go down the highway and get great service in a nice facility that treat us customers like so. Even if its not specifically a toyota dealership. If Cornhusker stepped there game up and became something like baxter is in lincoln (for example ) id definitely try them again. Oh and for the record i also read some of the previous reviews for Cornhusker, and a few names sounded familiar. The 5 star ratings came from a guy that works there! I thinks hes in sales or service. Now, thats pretty sad.Want Good proper service? Dont go here. I know i wont be anymore.

We had a TERRIBLE experience with this company. My daughters and I drove all the way out to Grand Island to check out a vehicle today based on their website. When we got there the car had been sold SEVERAL days ago. They did however ask me what my budget was and looked up alternate vehicles on their list based on that $5,000 range. Perfect price range for an upcoming 16 year old birthday gift. They had a Jeep that just came in as a trade in that could fit in that range. So we piled into the car, test drove it and loved it! Afterwards we went inside to discuss the price and low and behold I am told the cost will actually cost in the $6,000 range. Since that is not in the budget my daughter leaves sad and I am unhappy that we drove a car that the dealer knew was out of the budget. However, after supper my daughter and I come to the agreement that I will pay the $5,000, but she will have to use her detasseling money to cover the rest. So we go back an hour later and let the car people know that we would like the car. They say great, but within ONE HOUR the price went to $7,500 plus $149.00 processing fee. The best part was the sales persons apology Im sorry. Im just the middle man. Well, all these items combined explain why the bathroom, walls, carpet and furniture are so run down. I bought my own car from Bigler in Lincoln last month and it was awesome! I said what my budget was, they showed me the cars they had in that range, the sticker was the price, no uncomfortable haggling and staff that worked well with each other. I recommend this Cornhusker company send their employees down there for some training. Ill be posting on blogs, Facebook and website all over at how terrible their service was and how sad it was to hear my 15 year old cry on the drive home. When my students ask where we get our cars I will say ANY WHERE BUT CORNHUSKER TOYOTA.
