I took my car to Luis Auto Repair because the shifter of my Volvo was locking. When I picked my car up, the radio dashboard was broken, a service light that was not on before I took my car there was on, and although working, the shifter didnt feel safe. The next day my car didnt turn on. A neighbor checked and it seemed like the battery (which wasnt that old) had died, my neighbor jumped started my car and the car turned on but the shifter was locked. My neighbor helped me temporarily unlock the shifter and I took it back to Luis Auto Repair. When I picked up the car the second time, the shifter was working better, but apparently I needed a new battery, so they changed and charged me for a new battery too; and they told me that they had ordered the radio dash that they broke and that they would call me when it arrived. They took a long time to call so I called them. Apparently they received the wrong part and were still waiting for another one. It took months for them to repair the radio dash that they broke. Today I went to pick my car up and yet another different service light was on! When I told them, they told me that that light was already on when I brought the car, which is not true. I got so upset that I took my car and took it to the shop that services the oil of my car to check on that light that was on because I’ve been taking it there for years and they know my car. They told me that when the mechanic takes a dash out and installs a new one it could anciently mess with the sensors or even mess them up. Sadly, instead of taking responsibility, the mechanic said that it was already like that when I brought my car, which is not true. So I just don’t trust they people who work at Luis Auto Shop. They don’t seem to have a master mechanic supervising the work that the mechanics do from start to finish. I am very disappointed with Luis Auto Repairs service.

Great experience with the staff. Seems to be a reasonable priced and I had inquired about breaks and they let me know that they were about half way through their life cycle. Always a plus when a shop doesnt recommend work that doesnt need to be done. Will be going there again.

I brought my car to Luis auto repair to fix an issue I was having I asked for a diagnosis, he told me I needed my thermostat housing unit replaced that it would cost almost $1000 and that my car should be good after that, little did I know my car was still not gonna work and he was going to charge me another $50 to replace a radiator cap just to get the car back and it still not work The second mechanic I took it to had it for less than a day fixed the issue and charge me three times less than Luis‘s auto repair now they refuse to give me a refund even though they misdiagnosed my car and wasted almost a month of my time. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU !

Not once did I feel like I was being taken advantage of, being a woman that says a lot about this place! Ive had bad experiences in other places but not here, I brought my car for wheel bearing replacements, as well as other services and they were able to get it done at a timely manner. They were really thorough and knowledgeable when explaining everything. Im so glad my coworker recommended me this place! And Im not sure how I never heard of it before but I will definitely be returning!

This is a great shop to know about. Last week I test drove a previously owned vehicle I had researched - one being offered by a dealership in Graham, NC . Liking the car, I knew I should have it inspected by a competent team of mechanics before purchasing, so I looked up reviews for who was nearby and had strong marks. I chose Luis Auto Repair. One of the team - Jose was able to slot in the inspection within a short time after my call. After an hour or so, both he and Luis kindly took the time to review with me the points of their thorough inspection and the test drive and patiently answer questions I had, making their own recommendations. I now have peace of mind, having bought the car and now, I too am very impressed with their knowledge, honesty and good will. These guys are an asset to the surrounding community.

Cannot recommend these guys enough!!! My parents 2012 VW Tiguan started having issues just outside of Graham, NC. As a mechanic myself, I know shops can take advantages of travelers so I tasked myself with finding a honest shop in Graham NC for my parents to limp the car to. These guys not only diagnosed their Tiguan accurately & did an excellent fairly priced repair, they gave my parents a ride to their hotel when the taxi company failed to show up. Being a mechanic myself, this is how I try to treat my customers. Grateful Luis and his team took care of my folks in the same way.

We took our car in because of gearshift problems. They were able to fix it for $200 less than the dealership b so very happy about that! The guys were friendly-would definitely go back.

Absolutely wonderful place! Ive bought two cars from here and have taken my cars back for needed/routine maintenance. The owner is absolutely amazing, and his staff is always pleasant to be around. Luis Auto Repair did an excellent job on my brakes. I was expecting all four needed done, but I only needed two. As a woman, I have had many Auto businesses take advantage and do more repairs that actually needed done. Most places would have told me all four of them, but Luis was honest and did only what was needed. In addition, they showed me exactly what they had done so I would have a better understand of this type of repair. I knew I had found a fair reputable business that I trust me car with. Towed my car, fixed it, and had me on the road with good service, and a fair price in just one day. A wonderful shop to use.I Called Luis when my 2010 Crown Victoria broke down with a leaking water pump and bad belt. I called them the next morning and arranged for them to tow it to their shop, diagnose the issue and repair it. They agreed and towed my car to their shop, did a pressure test as well as visual inspection and gave me a quote for the Tensioner, Belt, and water pump which were all damaged/failed. Their price was fair and reasonable and while I waited they ordered the parts, replaced and adjusted what needed repair, did a pressure test and vacuum test to check for any further leaks and test drove ti to make sure everything was right. After theyd finished I asked them to change the oil as well and the total for all the work, and the tow was cheaper than most of the towing quotes from their competitors. Ive sense recommended them to both my girlfriend and family as we travel a lot. These are definitely the mechanics you want if you have trouble.

The thing that impressed me the most is their integrity! Doing work not just to make money, but for whats right for the customer. I intend to keep coming back to Luis for all our auto repair needs.

Luis and his crew at Luis Auto Repair are awesome. Brought in an older truck, 1990 F150, that was having idle issues after adding headers and replacing intake gaskets. They traced it to EGR valve stuck open and runs great now. Would definitely recommend!

Had trouble starting my car, however, my engine light did not come on. They found 2 burned out wires and replaced them. Very happy customer!

Luis Auto repair quickly helped me in an emergency situation when they were close to closing time and did not have the necessary parts. They were able to get the parts quickly, solve my problem in the matter of about 35 minutes without breaking the bank, so I could get back on the road from a business trip. Excellent people. Theres a reason people go back to this place over and over, including many of the Eli Whitney customers who followed Luis to this new location close to downtown. They make my 2008 Charger drive like new. Even though its less convenient for us now, I wouldnt go anywhere else for a serious repair. Highly recommend!

Be careful with this shop they pick and choose jobs they dont want any hard work little jobs are usually what they go for. Need motor work done he said $1700 then when I said yes he changed and said he dont do that kind of work there and offered me $150 to junk the car. I brought car home it cost 200 in parts I did the labor myself be careful the smile and friendliness

I chose to go to Luis after reading the other positive reviews, and they turned out to be more than accurate! My daughter broke down on 40/85 just a little ways from Luis recently on a Sunday afternoon. After getting her settled into a hotel for the night my thoughts turned to who can I trust to look at the vehicle, and can they do it quickly? We live 4+ hours from there and I had no idea who to turn to. I saw Luis had good reviews and called him first thing Monday. He answered in a very polite and professional manner (even on a Monday morning), and was able to tow her car and assess its condition all by late morning. He explained the cars condition in easy to understand terms and let me know my options. The whole process was friendly and positive, and I cant say enough good things about how at ease I felt, like I had been doing business there for years. I feel like I gained a friend rather than transacted business, and I highly recommend him.

I have not find a better mechanics than the ones in Luis Auto Repair in we Snow Camp NC. Although we live so far away from them, we take our vehicles to this location for repairs and every time we came out happy. They are very reasonable in price and never try to sell you something your car does NOT need. We dont take our vehicles for oil change since its about 1hr away and our schedules just dont allow us to do that, but if we have a problem and the vehicle is not under warranty, we always take it to Luis Auto...Its worth the drive!

We cannot think of enough good things to say about Luis, Jesus and Jose. We have entrusted them with our vehicles for many, many years. Their new location is wonderful! We took my Hyundai in this morning to have them look into problems with my brakes, and Luis took us on a personalized tour of their new, more spacious facility. They are honest and trustworthy, and as one other reviewer said, they take the time to explain in detail what will be done to diagnose/repair problems. They stand behind their work 100%, but we have never had to take a car back because it wasnt done right the first time. As a female, I have always been a bit wary of auto mechanics, but I have never once doubted their work or their work ethic. You can take your car there with confidence that they will do honest work at a fair price. I would give them more stars if I could, they are an A++ operation all the way.

Love This local auto shop. They have serviced my vehicle for almost a year and have always been friendly, accommodating, & fairly priced.

My boyfriend bought a vehicle as is from Luis and When an issue came up within a few months of purchase, Luis fixed it at no charge. He did not have to considering it was purchased as is. We also sent my mom there after she kept getting screwed over by the ford dealership. Luis fixed her truck and told her the unnecessary things Ford was trying to tell her needed to be fixed. We used this business when it was located in Snow Camp and know many others who were very happy with Luis’ business. We will continue to use them at their new location and continue sending others their way.
