Great local mechanic that works on Toyota and Lexus automobiles. Economical but the quality of work is top notch. Used for both of my older Lexus cars and the price compared to the dealer is a great deal. Can do very extensive repairs (like changing the VVTi cover and gaskets on the 4.0L V8) to simple run of the mill service. Its a small shop so getting in is sometimes a bit difficult but the wait is worth it. Would highly recommend to anybody with a Toyota or Lexus.

I cant say enough about what a comfort it is to bring my van here for service. Phil, Kris, and Clyde are remarkably knowledgeable. They have so much experience fixing Toyotas and Lexuses that they can quickly identify the issue and know exactly what the best strategy is to fix it. Servicing and repairing cars is an art as well as a science, and these guys are true artists. Over the years, they have saved me a lot of money, and have always gotten me up and running again in short order. And it is a real pleasure to deal with them. They are absolutely honest and extremely considerate. They listen, and clearly care about my welfare. Having a mechanic this dependable and trustworthy is priceless!

I have owned Toyota cars - a Camry and an Avalon - for over 20 years. For me, each has been reliable and a good value. The best part is having Phil of John Howe West for maintenance and repair; Phil is so honest and good as a mechanic that I have noticed it affects my thoughts about buying a car: If I buy a vehicle that is not made by Toyota, I cannot have Phil as a mechanic; he only works on Toyota and Lexus vehicles. I was surprised to notice this Phil affect. But, its true. Every time I take my car in, he treats me like we are personal friends: He is scrupulously honest about what does and does not need to be done and how urgent it is. In my experience, high-quality, honest service like this simply is unheard of. This is why I feel compelled to say so publicly.

First choice in servicing a Prius! We are lucky to have them in town as their work is top notch and generally at a price well below the local dealership. Had my 2007 Prius serviced there for brakes, battery issues, and the multi-function display. Highly recommend.

My 20 yr old Camry was kept alive by Phil to 270k miles.Unfortunately the head gasket finally went and it was just time for it to go.All the work Phil did on my car over the years was always on point, fair and reasonable.I would absolutely recommend him to anyone with a Toyota or Lexus.
