Very friendly, helpful, and professional staff. The store has a huge selection of almost any style or brand your looking for. Von Maur has superior quality and service and I definitely would that the environment and atmosphere of the store is unlike any other, live pianist on a grand piano playing while you shop and very spacious and lots of comfortable places to sit and relax if you need to just chill.

This store is what Nordstroms used to be. High in selection with friendly knowledgeable staff and very clean and luxurious surroundings from display cases to restrooms.

This is a unique place to shop where the merchandise is of high quality and the people working there are friendly and very professional. They have frequent sales too! I especially like their womans petite department as it is often difficult to find clothes if you are short and thin. They also have free alterations!

Bought gifts for my family. Went to exchange items for different sizes. Was told you cant return or exchange items on sale. It was not final sale. They are running an in-store 30% off promotion that they automatically apply. Items were full price but then they applied their in-store promotion automatically. I was not told that there were no exchanges or returns prior to purchasing. DO NOT buy anything there that you might need to return/exchange. They will not take it back. They also wont ship items to you or the store if they dont have your item in their store. They have lost a once loyal customer. Its a shame their corporate decided to change their policies. They do not provide any customer service and they dont care. I complained to the store manager and was told thats the policy nothing I can do. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

I used to be a loyal Von Maur customer for 10+ years. I loved store, return policy, shipping. But now everything changed...Return policy was changed not just going forward, but if you are trying to return a new item with tag and receipt from last year you get a store credit, but you CANT use it when you shop online because their system doesnt accept store credit anymore!

This place has always been a favorite of mine and my family. We have there intrest free card which was very helpful when my kids were growing up and always out grew there cloths and shoes. It was a shame to go there today 01/16/2021 and see the store so empty. I dont know if its the pandemic or the internet that is ruining all of the retail business. Always friendly and helpful people here. You need to get out and start shopping again this is the place you need to go to.

Great store. So many on trend affordable options. They carry some higher end purses which is my weakness. The makeup skin care dept is great also. I had a wonderful experience in the ladies shoe department. They didnt have my size in a shoe that is very expensive and hard to find. They tracked my size down and I had it in about one week. I purchased my father a new wallet for his bday. Nice high end wallet. I wasnt sure if it was exactly what he was looking for, the staff assured me Dad could exchange it and he did.. He said he too had a great experience!!! Excellent STAFF IN EVERY DEPARTMENT!!!

Hadnt bought a good suit in years and happened upon a Von Maur. The salesperson, Janet, knew my sizes better than I did (without measuring anything). Exceptional service (something I dont say often). And what deals! Fantastic fit, an in-house tailor (all work included!), for an amazing price!! A very happy customer!!

Shopping at Von Maur in Glenview is like stepping back in time to the 1960s. Sales associates actually ask if they can help you find something. They have boxes and free gift wrapping. They have chairs and sofas sprinkled though each department so you can comfortably wait for your shopper. And they have a lovely pianist and sitting area in the center of the store. Nordstrom doesn’t even have theirs anymore! They carry great fashion and jewelry brands. They seem to “get it” that if shoppers come to a physical store instead of shopping on line they should have an excellent experience.

Shopping at Von Maur is a pleasure. I needed a dress for an upcoming wedding and had shopped at other larger department stores, without any luck and great frustration. Unlike most other department stores, the clothing is neatly hung on the racks rather than on the floor. I found a dress at Von Maur. The sales associates are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The selection of clothing may be smaller but like a boutique store, they offer some unusual items, as well as the same options of its competitors.

The best customer service of any department store! Free gift wrap services and shipping. I love the live piano music in the center of the store. There’s a wide selection of clothing, shoes, jewelry, gifts, and purses. There is also a really cool naval aircraft hanging from the ceiling by the escalators. I do most of my shopping here, never a bad experience.

Similar to Macys. They were very helpful. When I couldnt find the size I needed they ordered and drop shipped it for me.

Excellent high end department store, for those who knew Marshall Fields, this store is very similar but not as big. Small silver/China department. Beautiful merchandise, friendly & courteous staff. Added bonus, if you get their charge card, it is interest free as long as lonh as you make your monthly payment!

Check out the clearance room in womens shoe department! Mark downs happen on Wednesday each week. There are deals to find! Staff is wonderful and helpful, happy to search for sizes both in the back and at other locations.
