Great prices we purchased a hiking back pack.

Needed knee high socks for the gym to dead lift. I prefer soccer sock since they are easier to slide over my calves then dedicated brands for lifting. Walked into Big 5 and was greeted by an employee immediately. Asked where I could find soccer socks in the largest size possible. Employee led me over to the correct aisle. Found just what I was looking for at a great price. I was out the door in under five minutes. Would recommend Big 5 for good deals.

Been in 3 times in the last few months just standing… waiting… by the gun/knife counter. Always have to interrupt multiple associates just standing around talking. No care in the world about customers or anything actual work related. This time just walked out and bought a rifle somewhere else while 3 associates laughed together near the front end. No wonder there’s never any customers in here. Tip- just order anything you could buy here, online somewhere else instead.

They have a lot of stuff thats fun to look at if youre bored. Wouldve been more enjoyable if the lady didnt follow me throughout the store the ENTIRE TIME I WAS THERE. LOL. Meanwhile the white girl is over in the corner stuffing her bag and I am literally speechless when I look at the attendant and her eyes are glued on me! Hello👋. Im the guy why came in after work wearing gear I purchased from your store. Not the shoplifter you convenienced by paying so much attention to me. If you want to do your job stop being prejudice and open your eyes to more than the Hispanic guy window shopping. SMH!

They had 4 first aid kits, that were on sale for half price.

I have always liked this store. I will not be back until the requirement is lifted on wearing a mask. If you think this will save you from CV19 feel free.. My choice is to not wear one. When this is lifted.. I may be back.

Big 5 always has good deals on sporting and camping gear. I feel like their prices are more reasonable than at bigger camping and sporting goods store. For military they do offer a discount so thats a big plus.

Big 5 was not a sports store that I had frequented but due to a poor customer service experience at another sporting goods store we decided to stop in and see if they had what we were looking for and lets just say I was blown away by the friendliness and knowledge of the staff at this location. They helped us make an informed decision and had what we needed in stock. Lets just say this will be our first stop next time we need a sporting goods store.

Big 5 near me has been closed. I wanted softball socks for my granddtr & had a coupon. The store on Bell Rd is very difficult to enter due to construction. My purchase was cents short of $20 needed to use coupon. I had to buy 2 pieces of bubble gum at 19 cents each to meet $20. Told the clerk that for the hassle of shopping there, I felt the coupon should have been honored without the bubble gum purchase.

Too many employees so most are bored and not too enthused to greet you. However, did say the usual welcoming comments. Employees! Be thankful for your employer to keep you working!. I did find a pair of shoes so happy about that.

You practically have to light something on fire to get any help from employees. Great prices on some items.

Im not a very sporty person but whenever I need something they tend to have it. Maybe not a big variety of something but something is better than nothing

Patrick AKA Mask Police couldn’t even say hello. First thing that came out of his mouth was asking if I had a Mask. Sad thing is is that the word has gone around this place is always asking for a mask. It was completely empty and all my other coaches no longer go and buy anything from big five. Patrick stop watching CNN and wake up.

Purchased exercise equipment, poor quality and if you are over 55 tall, couldnt use. Took a hour to put together. Wanted to return and was informed had to take apart and put back into box. Would not except any other way. Asked to speak to manager, and young man called managers office. He was rude and condescending. When the manager came out to speak with me, found out why the young man acted the way he did. Just like his manager. She has red hair. She didnt want to hear anything we had to say, cut me off in my conversation with her to say not changing my mind, its just how it is. I have been to this store 3 times now. This manager is always rude not just to me but other customers. I do not recommend this store with her there. Went to Peoria store recently and it is night and day on service. The store in Peoria has earned my business going forward. Stay away from this Glendale store. All of the employees are starting to act just like their manager. Lead by example!!

Lots of things to choose from but customer service could use some help, the girl who cashed me out talked on the phone the whole time and never once address me verbally after I watched her carry on a whole conversation with the couple ahead of me. Not saying its because Im a minority but if it quacks like a duck!

The only thing I didnt like is they dont have the advertised item in stock & neither did nearby Big 5 stores. But their prices are great especially sales prices on different things every day.

I always buy my work shoes here. The shoes are better tham non slip.

They got everything you need to go to the park and play with your children. Kickballs, frisbees, basketballs, skateboards, and scooters. These days its tough to figure out what to do with your children when everything is shut down for social distancing or whatever. This place takes the complications out of where to go or what to do by simply providing all the sports equipment to play at a park with an open field and some grass to run on, or a court to shoot hoops on.

Great service at the Glendale,AZ location. The store was well stocked as well. I went in to find snow boots and some gloves and the associate there went above and beyond to try and help me find what I was looking for. When we learned they didn’t have the specific item I wanted, they gladly checked inventory of other stores near by and gave me a list of the locations that had it.It was also seamless to utilize the coupons I had to apply towards my purchase as well. Easy and efficient experience.

Its a hit or miss in all honesty. I could go here one week and find alot of things Im looking for a the next time not so much. Also the new people that are working there are not as helpful and nice as the before.

I like shopping here, there is pretty good selection of goods and very reasonable price, stuff is very friendly and are trying very hard to help, store seam to be clean, planty of parking spaces and very easy in and out to Bell rd,I do recommend this store to others.

The staff went above and beyond spending over 15 minutes trying to help my daughter find shoes in her size. They didnt have them but she really tried. The location was very clean.

One stop store sports and camping supplies

Good place for everything outdoors. Its conveniently located for me and they have some really good sales. Smallish in size but makes it easier to find what you are looking to buy. They dont have quite the selection but again convenience is better to me. I hate crowds. Went on black Friday almost as the sales were going to end and still found everything I was looking for still on the shelf and found the items fast. I was in and out in like 15 minutes

Good that they had some ammo. However, its limited to 2 boxes per customer. 😏

The young man helping my son get 2 pairs of shoes was SOOooo patient. We also got a pair of light weight running pants, those were harder to find but we did find some. Good experience and the shoes were on sale! So i would recommend this place for shoes, athletic wear and even seasonal items. They also have work out equipment and camping equipment.

Well stocked store. Held an item for me that I needed. Even had seasonal items out unlike some of the other outlets, like swim wear and water shoes. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

We love this Big 5! They always are courteous and helpful. Recently our Boy Scout troop had a problem with a tent we purchased numerous months earlier but used for the first time while at camp. They had problems with the zipper separating so upon their return we asked Big 5 if they could help us with it since we no longer had the receipt and it was a bit used from being at Boy Scout camp for a week. Big 5 had no problem with exchanging it for a similar model with no hassle. Thank you Big 5 for always helping us (and our troop) out! We will be back to get more tents when they go on sale and after we raise some money for our tent fundraiser - we lost several due to damage from a really bad storm that hit the last night at camp.

I normally have no problem with this store and the staff is usually helpful. Today Im not sure what was wrong with them but I will never go back again! Asked for help with an item and she pointed to the top of the pillar it was on display on! I said you want me to climb up there?! Unreal!!

I always read the ads for Big 5 Sporting Goods in the Sunday Paper - You just cant beat the shoe sales! The staff is always friendly asking you if you brought your coupon (you can receive them via email). The shoe guys/gals are spot on ready to help you pick out your next pair of running shoes. Keep up the great customer service!

Decent selection and some good sale prices but service seems to be hit or miss. It can be hard to get help finding shoe sizes at times.
