I LOVED THIS PLACE!First, I am from NYC and in an interracial marriage, so lots of the food and spices were more suited for my wife and her love for Caribbean food.I was very excited to find it by mistake while stopping off the road to get a soda. I called my wife and even put her on the phone with the store owner who was totally open to talking to my wife about the things in the store.I was really happy to find something called Milo, which was a chocolate drink I used to have in Colombia many years ago.When they International Market...trust me...they are not kidding. I saw tons of countries represented in this place. Very much a hidden gem in Virginia. I suggest going there especially if you are a meat-lover and love your hot AF spices.

I go to this store all the time… to buy Kenkey. And today I am disappointed. I went to buy Kenkey and decided to buy Malt. I buy Malt all the time over there. Now, after drinking some I realize the taste was different, my stomach started hurting. So I was confused and then I checked the expiration date… it was expired! I called the store, she told me she knows it’s expired that’s why it’s marked down. First of all it’s only 2.99 so who gives 2 donuts. The store shd notify customers when they decide to sell expired goods! I seriously think it’s illegal and even if it’s not, it can affect ur health. I told her that it is wrong for them to sell expired goods. She didn’t care. Please check your expiration date when you buy anything over there especially if they mark it down. I am also going to report this business. And never going back there again.

This place never disappoints, from the cleanliness of the store to the friendly customer service. This store has It all and then some, I shop here for my “Egusi Soup” ingredients and I never have to go elsewhere. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to try something different, you will be glad you did. I hope that in the future they will sell some hot foods to showcase all of their wonderful and affordable products.

If you happen to be in the Glen Allen area in the west end of Richmond and looking for Ghanaian and or international food supplies, this is your haven. Jil International Market has it all and customer service is A+ just check it out for yourselves. I buy items from there to Europe all the time because of the trust I have and the cleanliness of the store.

They have african food, vegetables, smoked fish, and smoked meat. Their prices are fairly reasonable, and I wish they had a fresh vegetables stand instead of the frozen ones.
