I purchased my first home in December and immediately started to renovate. I shopped around at big box stores, then took a friends advice to go to a granite store directly. After searching for those with the best reviews, I visited Capitols Glen Allen location. Brandy was very patient in explaining the process and the different choices. I eventually went to one of their suppliers to pick out my own slab and fell in love with a type of stone called Black Wave. What I did not know was that this particular stone is difficult to work with for the same reason that it is so beautiful. The veining that gives this granite a milky way look also makes it easy to crack. After several attempts at fabricating my granite, getting it to me, and installing it without it cracking, it is GORGEOUS! For my trouble with rescheduling multiple times, the manager gave me a piece of the same exotic granite for my fireplace hearth, with installation. The customer service was superb throughout this process, even through the bumps in the road. I highly recommend Capitol Granite for their attention to detail and their commitment to a quality customer experience.

I decided to project manage my own kitchen remodel, which included getting a new slab granite countertop. I had shopped the big box stores, but found that Capitol Granite had both a better price and a better selection! Agata, in the showroom, was very helpful and responsive to my hundreds of questions and design changes - allowing me time to make up my mind and make sure that everything was going to be perfect. Driving out to the lot was a trip, but so worth it. It is worth noting, and they tell you, that the samples do not always match the slabs available. I was most impressed with the installation too. How those 2 guys carried that slab into the house still amazes me.

They did a great job! From selection to installation - we were very pleased! The install guys were terrific!

We completed a remodel of our riverfront condominium in July, 2015. We decided on Capitol Granite for our kitchen countertops, two bathrooms and a wet bar. The quality of the granite is terrible and the customer service is lousy. Built a home and paid to upgrade the granite and the quality was terrible. We asked to pick out the slab we wanted and they wouldnt let us, only color. Showed us a nice piece of granite and then gave us crap. The builder ended up having to eat the cost of having it replaced. Plus the granite was not sealed properly in several of the homes built in our neighborhood in Tarrington. Our experience with the builder(Eagle) was wonderful but I wouldnt recommend Capital to anyone.

When looking to upgrade to granite in our kitchen I wanted to avoid the large stores and support a local/small business in the area. I used the template on their website to easily draw out out kitchen and got a quote from Agata after just stopping by on a Saturday afternoon. She was very patient with my husband and myself as we had several questions and ended up with quotes for various levels.I was also impressed with the templaters and installers - they were not just on-time, but always called ahead. Having them employeed by the company made me feel better about the product and having them in my home for several hours. We did have to wait for several weeks before they could do follow-up on a few punch-list items, but again the installer was very professional and even gave great advice on how to care for my cabinets.I recommend Capitol Granite as a way to support a local business and get a reasonable priced, well installed product.

On the afternoon we visited the showroom, it was near closing time. Agata Satora (who we later learned was the Showroom Manager), took her time with us and even stayed past closing time to write us a quote. Additionally, she was very knowledgeable about the product as well as design options. Once our project started, Agata was always available for questions and kept us informed of updates and changes every step of the way. The contractors that completed the work did an excellent job as well--we LOVE our new countertops. I would recommend Capital Granite to anyone looking for quality work and excellent customer service. They are the best!
