When you walk in the door an employee is going to welcome you, not “welcome you “ like it’s company policy, but actually welcome you and ask you if they can help. Again, not just say “let me know if I can help” but actually seeming to want to help you. I was coming in to buy a pump for the strange connectors that some bike tires have. When the young man asked I told him that I had a number of bikes and only 1 with these connectors. He recommended that instead of buying a pump just for that bike that I buy 2 $0.99 adapters so I could use the pumps I already had. Since he saved me $ I bought some other things while there and I’ll make sure I go back because it’s a business that seems to realize that it’s customers are people. Refreshingly good experience.
The people and the service are both terrific. I had multiple issues with flat tires and I couldnt figure it out but they did. An almost microscopic piece of, we think, asphalt that you had to literally turn the tire inside out to see it. My wife bought my bike from them for Fathers Day and I love it. They also service it. Great to have them literally 6 minutes from my house!
Great customer service, and decent spread of products. I had an issue with my bike, brought it in, they fixed it right up, and walked me through what tools they used and what future care for my bike would look like. I just started biking not too long ago, and this place made me feel like I was already an insider 🥸😎.
Employees helped us with checking stock so we didnt make a wasted trip and were patient and helpful helping our twin boys make sure they were sized correctly for the bikes we were looking at. Bikes were setup and our boys were excited to get a couple of great bikes. Great staff, great selection, great service. Thanks.
Clint did a great job promptly fixing my tire and providing me all sorts of expert advice and recommendations.
The team was very helpful and recommended the perfect bike for my special needs son. I came in to fix a bike he had broken, and they were able to help me convince a very stubborn little boy that he NEEDED a new bike. He loves his new cruiser - and theres no more frustration over inadvertently changing gears, and the bike will grow with him for a few years.
Trek’s sales people (Asia & Amelia) and service mechanic (Clint) gave great customer service and had great knowledge about their products that they were willing to share freely. They take great pride in their product and patiently answered all our questions. After purchase, I took my Verve 3 out for a ride and it is the best ride I have had on a bike. Very smooth, comfortable, and easy to control.
They were so kind and helpful with our out of town bike purchase. Our sales person and mechanic were the best! They were so knowledgeable and helpful in selecting and fitting our bike and selecting and installing the accessories.
They are very very knowledge about bikes. I really like their hospitality. They assemble my bike in two days and delivery it. They are amazing! Please let them help with your bikes needs. Thank you so much.
Had what I was looking for, got the Bontrager XXX Road shoes in black, and the service was prompt and courteous. Thanks!
The staff is super friendly and have a nice selection
I couldnt be happier with the service I received at this bike shop--every employee was knowledgeable, welcoming, and a joy to work with. I am thrilled with my new Townie bike, which was ready for me much earlier than promised. Great place to do business--thank you so much!
Awesome customer service, location has a large selection of bikes and accessories for your unique riding style/needs.
Wasted 2 hours driving to and from this place so because the sales guy lied about what was in stock. Horrible service
‘Anna was so welcoming and easy to work with. She helped my husband and I pick out a bike for me and him. Unfortunately, my bike will not be available for sometime, but my husband is sharing his with me. Purchasing from the Trek store directly gave me piece of mind knowing I was in good hands and with the experts! We will be purchasing our kids bikes here too!
The team was very helpful but not very knowledgeable.
The normal mechanic is one of the nicest and friendliest people I have ever met, and loves to talk. But sure enough, I’ve been here many times and they always provide excellent service at about average prices.
Had a squeaky bottom bracket which they replaced. They did a great job and are always a pleasure to deal with. Clint, Owen, and Amy are all super knowledgeable and helpful. Despite being super busy during Covid, they were easy to deal with and really go the extra mile to take care of their customers!
Bought a bike for my daughter here. Really nice folks. Great customer service.
The staff was very nice and I thought the selection was very good.
Good job.
Staff tries to really take care of you. Friendly, helpful sales and service for a great bike brand.
Did an absolutely fantastic job of bringing my 1985 SR500 Cannondale to like new performance. Highly recommend!!!
Trek bikes Im Germantown is the greatest bike shop Ive ever been to. After traveling across America and stopping at various stores for advice and parts, this location is the only one that was able to cater every possible need. I came there before they were open, as I my schedule didnt allow me to come later, and they took in my bike and even let me shop for a new one. They have serviced all of my bikes, even doing many tune ups on the spot. This store really cares about their customers. They are fully stocked with the latest parts and their mechanics are skilled and friendly. I highly recommend this store to anyone needing bike services.
Although I would have liked to see a wider selection of a few items (shoes, bar tape, tires, etc.) the friendly and knowledgeable service I received as a first-time customer was top-notch. Ana (Anna?) on the sales team was patient and very friendly as I asked about one product after the next and Clint the service manager was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful in assessing my newly purchased, 2nd hand bike’s needs as clearing up what it didn’t need. Neither was pushy about sales but also able to offer advice suggestions for purchases that fit my needs. 2 thumbs up!
Great service!!! But the prices are not the best.
Pro: They seem like excellent bikes. We received them yesterday so haven’t fully evaluated them yet. Con: Documentation that came with the bikes was generic. Both bikes have some technical features that we like, but we had to call the store to determine how the integral head and tail lamps oils be turned on.
Great customer service and friendly staff!
After my bike fell of of my hanging bike rack on I-40, I stopped in to see if they could fix it and buy a new bike rack. Although they were unable to fix the bike, Katie was able to put the bike back together enough to fit in the new bike rack. She also built the bike rack and put it on my car (I had no tools with me). Great bike shop.
Anna’s service far exceeded my expectations. Great bike shop that is diligent with service and COVID protocols. Highly recommend Trek and this location.
Great customer service and quality work
Our salesperson, Anna Y, was very helpful in explaining the differences of each bike I looked at during my visit. She was patient and knowledgeable on each of the bikes and ultimately helped me make the best decision based on my riding habits and goals. The Émonda SL 5 rides amazing and I couldn’t be happier. This is our fourth Trek Bike purchase and each time we walk away very happy. Thanks to the Germantown Trek Team!
A month ago I bought my husband & I Marlin 6 bikes at the Germantown location. I got an XL for my husband & based on the bike measurements I can be fitted for either a S or a M but due to the the sales associate strong willed advice, she highly suggested a S even though the size of the bike felt too small. After bringing it home & riding it around the block it was in fact too small so I called & once again she told me I was a small but I knew based on the Trek Sizing I was in fact between a S and a M. She was accommodating in the exchange of the bike & I did end up buying a M at another Trek location. We absolutely LOVE our bikes (XL & M) & have already put many miles on our bikes via dirt & paved paths. I wish she had listened to my concerns about the S as it was quite an investment. I will not do business with the Germantown location again as I heard she had many other complaints as well. The Trek Bicycle Shop on Walker is out of the way, but they are very friendly & quite knowledgeable!
Amazing service, a whole group of awesome technicians that took the time to explain a few things to me. I’ve been in a few times now and they are always super helpful and friendly. I was able to true my own wheels with a little help from the technician. I will do a lot of business with them. Great store and great customer service. Thank you!
We bought a bike for my dad, mom, and I from here. The staff here was very helpful and the bikes are high quality.
Capable, Competent, patient (very!) & professionally kind staff!Owen was able to host & give helpful feedback for the initial search/discovery process...Follow-up was easy-going & not pressured. (Great initial fitting & recommendation!)Rachael was quick to call & coordinate a bike to try-out (from another store). Thank you! When the decision to purchase was (finally!) made, Owen was especially helpful & patient with the purchase selection & order process...Thank you!Matt was helpful with scheduling the delivery & setting-up the appointment.Owen was spectacular with the delivery process (no kidding!)...Very quick to help with proper-fit adjustments. Owen was never hurried with answering questions, and was especially adept at allowing the customer to (truly!) celebrate the delivery experience!A final kudos to Chris for all the work he has done with set-up, maintenance & repair of our bikes...Thank you!
Service is always excellent. They are extremely knowledgeable, and always take their time with every client.
Great service. Highly recommended.
Great experience at Trek Germantown. Good communication, follow up and fantastic products. Thank you.
Very friendly staff. Amelia was great. Answer all my questions and helped me make my choice easy.
Very friendly, knowledgable about their product. Solve all my issues.
Fast, friendly service.
Friendly and helpful
I like that trek bikes sell high quality bikes! The service team is good repairing our bikes! Thank You!
Peddler was a wonderful purchasing experience from start to finish. I told Owen my price range. He showed me a range of bikes I had researched previously and also introduced me to the other product lines that I might consider. He did not push me to purchase an in stock model. He just wanted to make sure I got the right fit for model style and frame size. He ended up getting me a good clearance deal on last years Roscoe 6 model ordered in from the Trek site. The bike was well assembled when I picked it up, and Owen has continued answering my follow up questions about upgrades for tires etc. I highly recommend Owen and Peddler Bike Shop.
First off, let me begin by saying my interaction with everyone Ive worked with on the sales team was excellent. Katie answered every question I had and went above and beyond. I cannot say the same for the service department or at least one member whose name I dont know. I have an old bike that I would like to replace. I fully understand what is happening with the bike shortage and I understand that I have to wait to get the bike that I want. I have come to terms with that. In the mean time I just wanted my bike serviced and rideable until the inventory rebounds and I can purchase in the early fall. The service associate, Ethan (who was also great) looked over my bike, understood that I just wanted temporary fixes, and suggested the lowest service package just to make it rideable. I agreed, he said it would be done in a week and we were all good. One week later I get a call back (I dont remember her name) saying they suggest I should get a new wheel because there was some corrosion on the spoke. I was told it would take a week for a new wheel to come in. I said I didnt want to buy a new wheel because I planned on replacing the bike soon anyways. I just wanted them to service gears and brakes on the bike. They refused to service it and asked that I come pick the bike up. First of all... You had the bike for a whole week! If a wheel needed to be ordered from the get go why wasnt it ordered right away?!?! I probably would have done that. Youre going to make me wait another week because of an oversight on your part? SERIOUSLY?!? Second of all... I HAVE PUT 500 MILES ON THIS BIKE IN THE LAST TWO MONTHS. THE WHEEL IS FINE!!!! What I asked them to do HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WHEEL ANYWAYS!!! I feel like Im on crazy pills!! I picked the bike up, brought it to Victory bikes on Broad and they got it in to get fixed. I FULLY INTENDED on buying a bike at trek in germantown because of the good interaction I had with the sales department. NOT ANYMORE!! SORRY KATIE! What a waste of time this place is!!! You have lost a customer in me. FIGURE IT OUT PEOPLE!!!!
Amelia worked hard to find an XXL bike in the country that fit my frame and my style. I love the bike!
Friendly staff who worked with our entire family to outfit everyone with a bike as quickly as possible. We did have a minor issue that was immediately resolved when we brought it their attention.
Chris was beyond helpful! The only thing I knew about a bike was that it had two wheels, and he patiently answered all of my questions. He went out of his way to make sure I got the right bike and the right size. In a city where its hard to get good customer service, this was a refreshing experience!
Bad service.I bought bikes over 3000 dollars they offered nothing. From memphis location I bought kids bike spent about 1000 dollars and they offered free service coupons and maintenance.(also they gave me extra coupons for the bikes I bought from this place)Also they offered a bad bike mounts that damages my bike because fitting is too small. Only reason they offered me a bad mounting was because they were lazy to install the correct mount that wont damage my bike. Im disappointed after spending 3000 here.Cant believe those staff sells a bikes over thousands of dollars. Please go memphis location.
Great variety of treks bicycles and the salesman Owen was very knowledgeable. Well done!!!!
Great customer service.
Employees are skilled and friendly; service was fast even though they are swamped.
Very good customer service. Very knowledgeable about the product.
Best service Ive ever experienced anywhere! I love to shop local and this store is why! They have gone above and beyond to help me and I cannot thank them enough. I bought an awesome Trek bike and suffered an injury almost immediately afterwards and never got to ride it. After months of therapy and accepting my limitations they worked with me and I traded for a hot pink Townie 😍. There are so many other things they have done that are amazing (custom ordering my basket and installing it and my bell, fixing my flat, adjusting my seat, you name it) and I highly recommend them to everyone!!! Thank you all so so much!
The staff is extremely helpful. They took time to answer all my questions. This is a great place to purchase a bike.
Had to wait outside for a sales person for at least 10 minutes only to be completely ignored once we got into the store. Couldn’t get waited on.
Great service, helpful staff. Still riding my GT mountain bike I bought here 25 years ago.
Got my bike back a day earlier than expected! Great customer service!
Very helpful
Worth every penny. The people and the product.
Great location. Knowledgeable staff.
The staff is always eager to assist, advise per accommodate! Excellent service with local shop feel.
Excellent customer service and assistance with choosing the correct bike!Tom K.
From purchase to repairs to just having a friendly staff, Id highly recommend Peddlers to anyone looking to buy or repair a bike or find any accessories.
Employees are so friendly and very knowledgeable. They helped me find the best bike for me.
I love this store! I went in yesterday to have some work done to my mountain bike. I got right in and out with little wait. While I was waiting for Colby to finish my work (who was awesome by the way)the rest of the team, Chris, Joe, and Owen, made sure that I felt right at home the entire time I was there. This has become my go to bike shop in town and experiences like yesterdays are why.
I have been coming here for 6 years and am always happy with the quality of work that they do. Their employees are always courteous and I do not understand the negative reviews. In fact, when I dropped off a bike for service they worked extra hard to get it done before the end of the weekend. Also, on one occasion, they adjusted my derailler for free. I dont have a feel for whether their rates are competitive but I bet they are. At any rate, they do way better work than I could do and youre supporting a local business. I would go here if I had to buy a new bike - youll get properly fitted.
Great customer service.
Best in town. Not into sales-mechanics or selling what you don’t need
Great folks here.
NOT A GOOD STORE. Only sell trash Trek bikes, however they service all bikes. Big thumbs down from me. I suggest going to a bike shop with a larger variety of bikes such as Bikes Plus or Victory Bicycle Studio. AAAAANNND THEY CLOSE AT FIVE ON SATURDAY!!!!!!
This happened a few months ago, but better late than never. Everyone knows Joe, and he is one of the best techs in town. I dropped in after a ride with a drivetrain issue, and he immediately put it on the stand and fixed it quickly, with no charge to me. Thanks again Joe!
Ive been coming here for the last 2 1/2 years and have always gotten friendly, knowledgeable help. I dont even have a Trek bike, which they exclusively sell, and they were able to fix a very nagging issue that I had for over a year, where other shops couldnt fix it. The staff of Colby, Matt, Joe, Joseph, Amelia, and David have always greeted me like a friend and not just another customer. If people had an issue in the past, its not because of this current crew. Keep it up!
I ordered a bike because the color I wanted was not in stock. The bike arrived at the shop, and was assembled one day earlier than expected. I then purchased a couple accessories, which were installed for free. They instantly fixed a couple minor tweaks which were discovered after a test ride. And I was out the door with a shiney new FX3. Great service and very professional at every step of the way.
Very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Its a very unique store and experience.
I needed to replace a buckle and ratchet strap on a pair of bontrager mountain bike shoes and called their shop to see if they could help. They were more than helpful. They were able to find a replacement buckle but did not have any ratchet straps in stock. Joe took a pair of ratchet straps off a pair of shoes in store and offered to sell me those instead of having to wait on pair being ordered and sent to the shop. That was a big win for customer service in my book. I really appreciated that and it allowed me to get out and do what I love most, and thats riding my bike.
Always thorough, detailed repairs and outstanding customer service. They take great care of me whether Im buying something or just stopping in for advice. Most enjoyable bike shopping experience in Memphis, and Ive been to them all.
Great employees, very knowledgeable about their products and services. Highly recommend.
I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing help with anything bike related. These guys have gone above and beyond numerous times to help me out when Ive been in a pinch, even in a short notice. Friendly and helpful!
Part of the shopping center had a power outage, so I decided to kill time in The Peddler shopping for helmets. Great customer service, the guy helped me pick out and size a helmet. Heres the really cool part: their credit card machine wasnt working so they just let me walk out with the helmet and told me to call later with a credit card. They have my business from now on.
I had a great experience. Great products and very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Excellent customer service, from purchase to maintenance. I value the staffs opinion and suggestions when it comes to taking care of my gear. Love my bike!
They helped me to find the bike I desired then ordered for me. Once ready for pickup the staff took their time to teach me how to properly use the gears and made sure my mint green Jean was ready to roll. I got the trek finance, took it on a 50 mile bike ride from Cordova green line to downtown as soon as I got it, it handled the roads easy. I am so pleased with the service and staff who only plays the agreeable disco music, lol! 💃🏾🖒🏽
Highly recommend.Visited Memphis from Nashville and brought my mountain bike to ride, but forgot front wheel. Called the shop to ask if they might possibly have a used wheel/tire/rotor I could buy. After explaining my predicament, Colby said dont worry about buying one - Ill let you borrow a wheel while youre here.I drove over to the store and Colby had a high-end wheel, tire and rotor ready to go for me to borrow for the week with no questions asked except my name and phone number!I talked to a couple of other guys in the store, and they were great, too.I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this shop.
Last week, I visited Peddler Germantown looking for a new road/gravel bike for my older, college age son. Matt listened to my needs and wants to deliver the perfect bike, a Trek Crossrip 2. Just what my son wanted. Thanks for a great experience.
I got pretty lucky. Id been looking at bikes online for awhile. The night prior to coming into the store I was looking at one in particular, the Fuel ex 7. When I came into the store I only intended to look around and maybe test ride a couple to get a feel for them since I still hadnt sold myself, completely, on a full sus bike over a hardtail. When I got there the store employee greeted me and showed me the bikes and was knowledgeable of the differences between products. However, they were all hard tails. When I inquired about a full sus bike he informed me there was only one in the store and showed it to me... it was my Fuel ex 7 and it was the size I was looking for. I didnt stand a chance. Then I rode it. Yep, this thing was coming home with me today... pending credit approval. The guy (Im horrible with names) helped me with the credit approval. Id inquired about a military discount and he helped me out which I greatly appreciated. But then we got to the financing and I needed to finance for 2 yrs and found out that Trek more or less penalizes the store for financing over 6 months. I was so pleased with my experience in the store that day that I offered to turn down the military discount. The bike, at this time, is way more than I need but offers plenty room for skill/ ability growth. Looking forward to working with the store in the future.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They have a great inventory of bikes and quality products. I recommend the Peddler to anyone looking to buy a bike or have one fixed
Great LBS that understands post sell service and follow through... Chris, Matt and Crew have always been top notch throughout the years with all my cycling needs...
I dont know anything about bikes but it is my husbands main hobby. The people at Peddler have always helped me choose something for him, they know what he needs/wants much better than I do. They are courteous and I have nothing but good things to say.
Bought a Bontrager ion 700 headlight couple of days ago and I was blow away by the great customer service, in-depth product knowledge and professionalism of the staff. I had a minor issue with the product and took it to the shop today. It was immediately replaced while delivering great customer service. Finding a shop that can deliver great customer service consistently is rare and I think it truly differentiates the Peddler from the other bike shops in Memphis/Germantown.
This shop sells high quality bike parts. The good thing about them is that they dont overprice their items. This is the reason why I keep on coming back here from time to time.
Great experience every time i go!Great mechanic working there too.
Excellent service from both Colby and Matt. Colby was great at communicating and finding me a bike at a great price. Matt was incredibly helpful in fitting the bike and finding the right pair of riding shoes. Thanks Peddler!
Employees were very nice. I pushed my motorized bike with a flat tire all 3.2 miles there and even though they didnt have any standard 24 tires in stock the nice employees didnt give up, he even offered to take a tire off a new bike so I could get home. I thought that was very nice but I just bought a patch instead. They saw I was struggling to get my tire off with pliers and a screwdriver so they let me borrow a tire bead plier thingy and saved me a lot of time and frustration (especially because my tire was severely balled and dryrotted) they also let me use a pump to fill it up. After all this they let me go in the back to use the special hand washing soap that removed all the greese instantly. This means a lot to me and more than most people would think it would esleespeci after how much I rely on that bike. Thanks yall you really made my day.
Super friendly service and fitting! Its apparent they love what they do and are refreshingly patient and helpful, even for newbies.
Mixed results at this place. If you ever need something done to a bike the first question theyll ask is did you buy the bike here? The old guy with the glasses never misses a chance to ask this question. The point of it seems to be that they have less desire to work on something if you didnt buy it through them. This takes me to my first experience with them…trying to buy a bike. I went in to buy a bike one day…I was not going to leave without one. I got to talking with a sales guy and about 30 seconds into our discussion a lady walks in the front door and yells over to him about a box of power bars she was looking for. No worries…this will only take a second. Nope. He kept up an across-the-store conversation with her about fore several minutes…totally ignoring me. He kept up the conversation about the power bars until I walked out. He let a $700 sale walk out the door so he could talk about a $20 box of power bars. Maybe he was trying to date her daughter…I dunno…but this was my first customer service experience with them. So every time they ask me did you buy the bike here? I shove this story back in their face. They are always surprised that their tactic backfires on them.Fast forward a bit. I went in to buy some nutrition/elecrolyte stuff. A sales person recommended some big tablets for electrolyte replacement. I asked are these the ones you put in your water to dissolve? He said no you just eat them. I said are you sure? These things are huge. He very confidently assured me that you eat them as you ride. I was incredulous but left with them and the rest of my stuff. When I got home I looked at the directions and sure enough…you are not supposed to eat these…they are only to be dissolved in water. Score a zero for product knowledge.Fast forward some more. I wanted to buy a bike trainer so I could work out on the bike in my garage. I needed one that would fit a 29 inch wheel. After a talk with the guys at the shop (2 of them) they assured me this product would fit. I cautioned them that Ive done a ton of research and they need to double check that this will fit a 29 inch wheel…again they assure me. I get it home…you guessed it…not gonna fit…not even close. So I go back to the shop and tell them. Both guys come over and start looking at it to make sure Im not doing something wrong…which I wasnt…so they took it back. While I was waiting, one of the guys threw the other guy under the bus by whispering to me I only said it would fit because HE said it would. HE looked it up not me…I thought he knew what he was doing. I wasnt mad about the deal…I just wanted a product that would work…but the backstabbing your buddy was a pretty low blow. All they had to do was be professional and take the thing back with a promise to check for one that would work.It hasnt all been bad…but it depends on who you get. And you wont know who is good and whos not until youve been through a few problems.Theres a shorter dude with a bunch of tattoos that kind of looks like the lead singer for Green Day…that guy is great. Ive dealt with him several times at several bike shops and he just knows his stuff…he knows bikes, he knows business, and he knows customer service. Beware of everyone else.
Had two bike 🚲 fits by matt, now bikes feel great, great se4vuce
I am not a bike specialist, they help me a lotto faoi d I was looking for, Nice people nice equipment
Great service! Great products!
