Fantastic place to get authentic Hispanic foods. My wife is Honduran and she was impressed with the options. We purchased food from the little restaurant inside and it was delicious! Went back a second time to eat there and this time the rice had a odd seafood taste to it, unlike the first time. But overall, we like shopping there and will continue to support our local community store owners!

If youre looking for the freshest bread, incredible cuts of meat, hard to find Mexican brands, or a quick bite to eat, La Plaza is the market for you. Immediately upon entering your nose is greeted by the smell of meat on the grill. In the back corner, all the bread your eyes can take in will make your mouth water. Go visit and enjoy.

I’d been in a few times for the sweet breads, but now have a whole new appreciation for this market after the extreme ice and snow storm that left many of us without power for days. This market was open when no other stores or restaurants were and they were serving hot coffee and tasty meals! My family and l were able to get in with no lines at all and buy essential foods including produce. We also ate a hot meal in-store. Was so grateful and we will shop here much more often now. Service has always been wonderful and everyone is nice and polite.

This is a great place to get meat. The people are nice and helpful. The tamales up front are really good (thick masa and mildly spiced meat), I got a chicken tamale, fantastic with a cold beer. Very reasonable. Has a variety of spices and goods from Mexico. Ill definitely go back.

Moved to Georgetown recently and was very surprised about the portion size of the fajita taco and how good they are. I am Mexican and don’t like all the bad Tex max food around but this taco was a perfect carne asada taco . Buenísimo y excelente porción.

The store is expensive ! Well the prices are a bit higher than Walmart or heb for some items. The sweet bread here aint that great...🙃 Dont know maybe its just old bread that I get every time I purchase some.🤷Do I need to buy it as soon as it comes out the oven 🤔 so that ill change my mind?Their fajita meat used to be good now it tastes just the same like fiesta fajita meat.(all chewy and hard to chew down to pieces).Like Ill sit here chewing for what seems like forever tryna eat a taco with the meat that I purchased from here lol 😆 but back then the meat wasnt like that .😕OH YEAH!, They accept snap here!Customer service is alright. Ill give it 4.5 stars..Its a clean and organized store.OVER ALL.

Before I got into my truck I realised that 1 of out my 2 bags was missing so I went back inside and told the cashier, Rosario, that my bag was left in the bagging area. She looks around and says Oh someone must have taken it. I asked if there was any way to replace the items or get a refund and she said no.If this would have happened at HEB 1 The cashier would have checked all items were taken before starting a new order. 2 The customer wouldnt have taken the items. 3 They would have refunded or replaced the items.I even had the receipt that showed my items were missing.

This a very good family owned market for its size, with good prepared food and large fresh meat section including seasoned varieties. With there being plenty of staff, as with some family run business the parents will leave an unqualified family member in charge. They have fully equipped kitchen with good view of prepared hot food but the back half unorganized, LCD menu out of order and no printed ones either nor laminated. Plenty of parking but no lighting at night and staff parking their trucks between lot and market entrance. Most of staff not bilingual nor was a manager. Again this a good place, Im certainly returning after several visits and encourage others. This a gem already, waiting to be polished and made great.

I always love this place. It’s practically open all the time, the staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful, and it’s super convenient to anyone living in old town. Sometimes I’ll run down for some pan dolce, or if I’m cooking something new I’ll stop by for ingredients. The other day I was cooking machacado for the first time and the employee behind the meat counter helped me find it.

This is a cute little grocery store that will have most of what you need in a pinch. The real reason to go though is for the prepared food. Ive been there several times and always had a great experience until today, the lady in the kitchen completely passed me up even though i was next in line and was very polite and friendly to the Mexican guy behind me, then she was told by a man also working the kitchen that i was next. The expression on her face immediately went sour, when i ordered my tacos she was rolling her eyes and getting all puffy. When she was handing them to me i was trying to say thank you as she shoved the tray into my hand while completely avoiding to even look at me. Hate to say it but im pretty sure it was because im white. Usually people there are very friendly and with my broken Spanish and thier broken English we communicate pretty well, I feel very welcome and the food is some of the best Ive ever had and that sucks cause itll probably be quite a while before i go back there.
