I had a friend visiting from out of state and we went into the Berry House to peruse the various shops located in here - one of which was (going to be) the Coffee Drop Shop.Not even 30 seconds after opening the door, an unmasked woman (this is during the time of the mask mandate in Illinois regardless of vaccination status) glared at us and aggressively asked Excuse me! Can I help you!? We explained we were going to look around to which she curtly responded I dont know what you think you are doing but I am the only store open. As I tend to avoid conflict (and in all honesty, I was still processing why there was this level of hostility from this woman) - I quietly explained that my friend was from out of state and I wanted to show her around. At this point, she raised her voice even more and scolded us by saying that we werent allowed.We backed away from her and headed upstairs while she continued yelling at us. Interestingly - when we got upstairs, we found a salon to be open (yet she said everything was closed). Even more interesting - after walking around (and within earshot of the Coffee Drop Shop) we encountered another patron who obviously did not receive the kind of treatment we did - I cant help but wonder if it was because we were younger and my friend is not white.Either way - our plans to visit the Coffee Drop Shop after looking at other stores in the Berry House were obviously cancelled. Permanently.

If you like flavored coffees, the Coffee Drop Shop has some amazing flavors. You can buy bags that are ground while you wait or simply buy the beans. The coffee always smells amazing. In fact, since it is located inside a large building near the back of the building, you start to smell the enticing aroma about halfway into the building.

I am very impressed by the selection and enjoy spending time here.

A great place to buy your beans or tea. They also have a large selection of accessories and other items. The coffee is roasted by the owner. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Received an assortment of Coffees for Christmas from this place. it is the best coffee if have ever tasted Rich and Smooth. I dont think I can ever drink anything else again.

And the woman who runs the place is incredibly knowledgeable as she and her husband do all of the sourcing for the teas and coffee beans (plus their own roasting!) Great selection of gifts for tea and coffee lovers alike. Always make sure to stop by when I’m out visiting my parents in Geneva!

This place is easy to miss- but its fantastic! They roast their own coffee and have a huge selection of very good, very reasonably priced teas. The coffee is fresh and cheap ($10/pound), but, unfortunately, they do not have a good light roast. Im kind of a coffee nerd though, and I asked for the lightest roast they have, and it was quite dark. So if you like darker roasted coffee (like Starbucks) you should love it.

The woman that owns this is beautifully awesome. She is a great help and has unique items very reasonably priced. My daughter loves the almond joy coffee, which I now ship to her in college. They have awesome flavors of tea and coffee. A must visit 3rd street shop.

Lots of interesting coffee. Not so much with the unique kinds and/or roasts but more with the added flavors, etc.Har to find because its in a maze of a building that shares rooms with antique shops and other stores and the decor of the store lends itself to a homespun antique type place as well. In short, I walked past the place 3 times and I was actively checking for signage, etc.Once in, however, it was nice. Good prices, nice people, etc.

This place has quality loose leaf teas at the best prices in all of Chicagoland, Im convinced. The coffee is pretty good too. Just remember to be patient on busy days as theres only one woman running the business.

Coffee drop shop hands down has the best Pina colada coffee around, their coffee is the bomb. Friendly lady owner who actually talks to you and knows her product. Love her, good to the last drop.

Extensive selection of tea both loose leaf and bag. Also a great selection of coffee. They roast their own. They have a lot of coffee and tea accessories too everything from French presses to China tea sets. It smells wonderful and Judy the owner was very knowledgeable and kind. Too bad its hidden so far back in the building, you have to go past all the other shops to get there but worth it.

Ive been sourcing my addiction of choice (good coffee) for 30+ years, from the Coffee Drop Shop in Geneva. They roast small batches at least weekly, so the beans are consistantly fresh and perfectly roasted.Recommended.

Mom-pop coffee shop that has been roasting its own coffee for over 30 years. The blend I had was flavorful and smooth.

We were never greated, instead we were scouled at, the lady was watching my wife as if she was a criminal but still no hello or how are you nothing absolutely nothing, me and my wife left, maybe she was in a bad mood but either way we wont ever go back.
