For one, they wouldn’t even let me buy a couch that wasn’t even paid for by someone else.. Lied about calling me back and then Kathleen was absolutely RUDE to me. Hard to find good customer service anymore.

Great customer service from the older lady thats the sales associate...She Was quick to check on the inventory to see if the item I wanted was in stock. And to assist me with my purchase. Was thankful and grateful for me using Big Lots. And was quick to set me up with a rewards card. Also the young man who helps with the glasses also made sure I had a roller for my item and also offered me help loading the item in my vehicle, witch was gladly and greatly appreciated.

Although I do not live in Gastonia anymore, I come to this Big Lots quite often when in Gastonia. If I need something, I head to big lots. They have everything, and the store is not gigantic. The customer service has always been superb in terms of both professionalism and personal interactions.

They never have what u looking for and always following and watching you in there make you feel so uncomfortable! Cant stand this place!

Answered their phone quickly...saleslady checked promptly for the item I was searching for.. and...unlike wallmart...they didnt hang up on me... visited again .. march, 04...more time to actually browse..i cant believe the low prices and variety of selections.. unique furnishings and accessories .. clean store to shop. So organized.. cant wait till next week to go back !

My family has bought furniture here for many years, including multiple recliners, a sofa and most recently a sectional. The selection and service in furniture have always been strong here for me. Prices are also very competitive, so its worth a look if youre shopping. The store offers furniture delivery through a local group known as PDQ Delivery Service. Theyll bring a delivery to your one-story home within 15 miles for $65. Thats helpful if you need help getting your purchase home like my wife and I did recently for our sectional. PDQ made things right in the end, but it was a hassle that lasted all day to get the right furniture we ordered because our sectional first went to someone elses home, and they brought their pieces to us. So PDQ had to swap out the deliveries. The whole process ended up taking from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM for me. If you use the delivery option, be sure you get what you paid for before its all said and done.

Had just what I needed and at a great price

It was good. Good service, good stuff. But it did not have what we needed, nor were half of the people there nice, and those people didnt even wear masks! But, overall, it was ok.

Bought a bed for almost $600 less than a year ago, and today while trying to rearrange the room, I pushed on the bed and the whole wooden part at the foot of the bed caved and broke inside of the fabric. No matter how much cheaper their furniture is, just go with a more expensive furniture, I learned today you really get what you pay for.

This is a very nice Big Lots. Very clean and well laid out.

After this experience, I doubt I will use Big Lots to furnish the rest of my home. I purchased a reclining loveseat there yesterday, at a final cost of $850. After being told they accept Google Pay, I was forced to pay with my debit card instead because the machine wouldnt accept my phone payment. The manager who came to assist simply stated were not trained on these machines; payment is on you, sorry and walked away. We were given the info of a 3rd party to deliver and told they do same-day delivery. The delivery company told us it would be the end of next week instead. We called the store again and asked if we could send a friend to pick it up, and we were told that was fine as long as he had the receipt OR A PHOTO OF THE RECEIPT. Upon arrival, he was told by manager Kathleen that she would NOT let him pick it up with a photo of the receipt, only the original, contradicting what we were told on the phone. She was incredibly rude to him and refused to speak with me when I called, so I had to drive up there, pregnant and sick, to bring him the receipt. I regret spending so much money at this store.

Nice clean store! This store is much bigger than the one in Belmont. Plenty of choices for Christmas decorations, furniture, and many other products. The staff was friendly. I definitely like this store better.

We found just exactly what we were looking for, comforter sets and they were on sale to top it off, also got their store card and got an extra 20% off of everything plus more benefits. I like this particular store because they always seem to have so much and its always clean and the people are nice and friendly too. It also helps that the parking lot is never too packed.

I purchased a recliner today!!!! You may say why so happy? Well it seems anyone can purchase a 3 year free replacement warranty. For 45 dollars now thats a deal,of course its a Lane built recliner so I doubt Ill use it but its insurance. Well worth it.

I have visited this store on a regular basis for many years. The people are always friendly and helpful. We have purchased furniture, outdoor furniture, a gas grill, seasonal decorations and many other various items. My grown kids probably think I secretly work at Big Lots as I am always trying to tell them about the good bargains. The store has recently been updated and its nice to see the changes. Getting the emails about upcoming sales is amazing. It helps me to save a lot of money on big purchases in the furniture dept. - which also offers lay-a-way. I always look forward to the new seasonal decorations, 2018 fall has just been put in the store and its beautiful!!

Wow, unprofessional is a good place to start. Staff yelling at each other, you can hear it echo around the store. Very rude, not at all helpful. Both times I went here it was the same experience. I bought a lot of furniture from here, when I first moved from out of state. They are so rude, its ridiculous! I will be going someplace else from now on, even Walmart is better than this big lots. Very disappointed. Also basic math skills, they have zero!

This location has more merchandise and furniture than any of the other ones I have visited. Usually really clean and well stocked. Workers are friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful.

I tried to talk to the furniture guy and he was rude and yelled at me. Leave your problems at home and be respectful or you wont be getting many customers. I wont be shopping here that is for sure.

Love this store. Its been around a long time now, still has great bargains and things you just dont see in other stores. They also have furniture with finance options (see store for details) and a good selection. Everything from faux fireplace heaters to beds, living room to kitchen. Theres always new things coming in, so if you see it and want it, grab it! Be careful in the parking lot, the shopping center itself doesnt do a great job at maintaining it, but not the stores fault, and for sure dont let it stop you! Definitely check them out.

This Big Lots is much better than Shelby it has away way better selection the prices are pretty good the employees are very nice. I would recommend this for like Christmas supplies garden tools outdoor furniture toys and maybe some kitchen supplies school supplies. I wouldnt buy food from there just saying my opinion
