It was my first ever visit to Garland Saw and Lawnmower, and it certainly wont be my last. Great customer service!!!I was very impressed with the quality of their advice on my lawnmower questions. Not to mention what they charge for their service is more than reasonable. So if you are looking for a Lawnmower equipment place who know what they are talking about then this is the place to go !

I went in to buy this self propelled Toro and there was my next door neighbor! He was buying one too. What are the odds? They gassed it up, added the oil and started it up to make sure it was ready to go. Great service! Web site for Home depo showed none available but no matter. Id much rather deal one on one with the pros at Garland Saw and Lawnmower as would my neighbor.
Bad mechanics poor service I buy a new commercial mower a bring back to fixed for transmission cable. After that for belt they take away two screws the set up one they still missed one now the motor is shaking because dont have the screws I only have two months with mower

This business doesnt believe in a customer service.The reason I want to give two stars is: they told me the wrong price over the phone and made me drive to come to their store and when I told them that you guys told me the different price on the phone - they werent even willing to honor since it was their mistake. Same equipment was $50 cheaper at another store but I still end up purchasing the equipment from them because I needed the equipment to do my work.
Went in on 3/19 to get an edger and trimmer head, the young gentlemen behind the counter were very attentive and helpful, came around the counter and showed me the options available. I have been to several lawn equipment stores in the dallas area and the service here was by far the best. Even though I only went to Garland Saw because they were the only store that had what I needed, I will be going back even if it is an extra 15-20 minutes further from my usual place

Went here today to have an issue with my lawn mower looked at. Waited less than 2 minutes, they came out to my car to see what the issue was. Turned out I had been barking up the wrong tree as to what was wrong with it,the model number I had been looking for was right in front if me, all of which the gentlemen explained without making me feel like an idiot, told me how to fix it, and didnt charge me a cent. Good old fashioned service with a smile. I will be back, though hopefully not too soon!

Visited this store last month and a young man who tried helping me was under the influence. I could smell it on his breath. In my opinion, no business should allow this type of person to be at work like this. The guy said his name was Eric. I left empty handed. Unfortunately, I’ve visited this store 3x and have only gone in to look around. I was planning to be a regular customer but this last visit changed my mind.
This is the only shop I trust with my equipment. They are a great asset to our community! They offer great turnaround times and truly care about their customers satisfaction.
The Stihl products I have bought there is great quality equipment. The staff is always eager to please, respond to any suggestions, and/or questions quickly and in a respectful manner.

Have used them on and off for more years than I can count. The biggest problem is that you never know what kind of service to expect. Last time I was in I needed my Stihl trimmer fixed. Well, they did (?) Yep it ran for 1 lawn cutting then seized up. Sure the thing is about 30 years old, so I take it back to Garland saw expecting to have them to be able to fix it. The guy calls me back the next day saying I ran bad gas, and nothing they could do for it. He asked me if I wanted them to get rid of it.OHHH Noooo... I go pick it up... A buddy of mine comes over, grabs it. Takes it home, and by the next day it is up and running.By the way... The trimmer head is compatible on a newer todays model. (I wonder why they would want me to get rid of it?) Hmmm
Called to get quote on lawn mower tire replacement and was told it would cost $32 for 2 tires 15 X 6 and an installation charge of $11 per tire, I took old tires in and asked about price to double check, I was told yes something like that. I went back to pick up my tires and the total was $103.16 I asked why so high and was told I was misinformed on price or something like that. You can purchase 15 X 6 new tires with rim for 29.99 on line, I even told the cashier the same thing and he just looked at me in disbelief. First time to use this place and it will be the last time, Do not get your tires from this company, the will price gouge you, research online, I promise you will find prices for way cheaper and a new rim is provide. Lesson learn!

Shocked and amazed! Dropped off & picked up my ZTR mower same day. Fixed and looked like new. Definitely a fair price. Highly recommend. They will get all my business. If you need a Stihl or Toro - definitely go see them, but they work on everything.
Took almost 2 months to get my equipments “repaired”. Had to call every other week to get an update. Whenever I could contact, always got the same answer;”waiting for part”. After two weeks, they said they can not fix one of that and needs new engine. Which another guy could fix easily. I had to wait almost 6 more weeks to have the other one. And it was not running. They said it is because of the gas. They still charged money. I filled out gas and still not running. Basically I drop my running equipment and pick up not running condition. Still charged too much. I never had his much issues from a company. Rude and disrespectful to the customers. Like some other reviewers, I am saying that, NEVER WILL I DO BUSSINES WITH THEM AGAIN. LEASON LEARNED

This is by far the WORST store to buy or get your equipment worked on. Customer Service is TERRIBLE! Equipment is never ready when stated. I had to wait 9 weeks for equipment that should have only taken a few days to repair. What are they doing? Sitting back and eating Bon Bons??!! The owner should consider selling this place due to the poor reputation this place has received over the years. Time to move on!

Took my mower in to replace the start string and was quoted $19.99., then was told they had to change the entire starter which I was ok with that cost $57. Then they told me it wouldnt start and asked if they could fix it. I said no and picked it up and took it home and it started on the 1st pull.
I brought over my lawn mower and this guy Chris is there rudest guy ever had deal with he think hes all that I just cant believe it how he can manage a business with his attitude. I dont advise anyone to get any service from this guy right here anyway they take about 3 weeks to give a diagnosis plus two weeks to give you the machine back this was a horrible experience.
The gas cap on my funky but still working after years mower disappeared, no body I went to had one but these guys went in back, found one and for 2$ I was back in business.

Quoted a 2 week wait and $140, for pull start and tune up on mower and tune up on weedeater. Took an extra 13 days and that was only after calling the last week every day. Was told tomorrow 5 days in a row. Was charged $131, only reason not 1 star.

Ive been collecting and cutting wood for the homeless in the tent cities to keep warm and needed to upgrade my chains for my 22 and 18 chainsaws. Being on a budget and trying to be a smart shopper to maximize monies that can be used to purchase other items for the homeless (i.e. blankets), I took my saws in on 12/30/15 to get quotes for Stihl chisel chains for my saws. I told the short guy with a buzz haircut there that I needed a quote on a chain and he got the gauge, pitch, and number of links and told me how much it would be (~$34 and change w/ tax). While he was measuring, I was asking questions and he would talk to me in a derogatory manner and has a rough tough-guy attitude. Being polite to customers is not a practice there. I recorded the chains measurement info on my phone and told him that I would look and shop around for what is out there and then said I needed a quote for my 18 saw as well so Ill go get that from my car and bring it in. I came back in with my 18 chainsaw and he walked back out from the back and had the Stihl chain cut and put together for my 22 chainsaw. I said that I needed a quote for my 18 chainsaw as well. He then said I asked you if you wanted the 22inch Stihl chain and you said yeah so I cut it already in an angry manner at me. Ive never been talked to like that at a retail store by an employee and Im 40 years old. I said No, I didnt say yeah. I said that I was getting a quote for chains for my saw. He yelled, Well my labor is not free! People dont just walk in here and ask for quotes! I said, Go ahead and put the Stihl chain on there and Ill give you $34. He yelled, I dont want your $34! You can take your saws and your chains...! and then denied me service. I picked up my old chain and chainsaws and started to walk out and said, Ill be sure to go online and let people know about your shop. He yelled back, And Ill go online and let people know about you! Ive never had a worse experience at a place that has a license to sell goods and services. Very rude and rough guy with a serious anger and attitude issue. I would give them negative stars if I could.
I had been struggling for a couple of yrs with my combo weed eater, hedge trimmer and edger, it was always so hard to get to start and when it did start in ran rough. I took it to these guys and wow, the mahine that runs the way it was supposed to.Thank you guys!
