High end sports/casual clothing and outdoors gizmos. All of great quality and relatively expensive (but worth every penny) with discounts going on most of the time. Very nice and helpful staff. Store has a mindful layout. Not crowded.

We popped in looking for a jacket and had the pleasure of meeting Fred. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and helped us buy the perfect jacket! He talked us through the right weight and style, then we had plenty of colors and sizes to choose from at a couple different price points... and he even had the products we needed for upkeep of the waxed cotton! He made the whole experience easy and fun - two thumbs up!

I had a big fishing trip planned with my army buddies, and I went to Orvis to treat myself to a new pole and some tackle. The crew at Orvis were almost excessively knowledgeable and very helpful. My friends were amazed by my new rod and absolutely loved it. They kept asking to use my new rod throughout the day; I guess you could say they were hooked on my pole. Thank you Orvis.

Went to Orvis in Westbury to buy my husband a birthday gift because hes starting to get into fly fishing. Was so pleasantly surprised at the selection of different flies and how organized it was. I found everything I needed in a few minutes and the gentleman there helped me to make a great variety package so my husband was thrilled! I dont usually write reviews, but I was so blown away by the service in the fishing department that I decided to! I will definitely be returning and shopping for clothes too. Great place, great service, great environment.

Have a great experience every time we shop at the Westbury store. Fred and Dan are eager to please and are extremely helpful in finding the fly fishing products we need. The store has a family atmosphere that makes it a pleasure to shop there. All the employees are very welcoming and pleasant.

I would give it 5 star for the service, but when the regional manager is chasing customer to buy rods you get 3 stars.. leave you workers along clown...

Had everything I needed to go fly fish. Large selection of flies, rods, reels, gadgets, and tying material. Everything I could possibly need to for fly fishing and the associates offered to order anything they didnt have in store with free shipping. It is a REEL one stop shop for all my fishing needs. It had a nice small fly shop atmosphere. They stand behind all their products like waders rods and reels. Orvis is the best.

Fred! The manager! What a great guy. My sister and I went into Orvis at the gallery shopping center for a Fathers Day present, and Fred helped us tremendously. He gave us little pointers about the clothing items we were interested in -- like the hidden sunglass wipe in the fishing shirt! He tried so hard to make our shopping experience special. Fred (and all other employees working on 6/16/17 as well) helped us with smiles, laughs, and good conversations. I already know my dad will love his gift. Thank you Fred and Orvis! I will come here for every gift giving occasion. FYI- they hold fishing seminars on saturdays during the spring and summer. Check it out!

Service people here, especially a very accommodating store manager, could not have been more helpful. We were going on a vacation and the store manager ordered,at this expense, by two day Fed Ex, a jacket that he did not have in stock so that we could travel with it.Just a pleasure to shop at this store.

Ive been shopping at this Orvis branch since they had their Greenvale, NY location. I frequent the store (3-5 times a month) and must say, they have everything I need for all of my fly fishing needs. Between my saltwater Recon setup to my compact 4wt clearwater rig for my frequent trips to Caleb Smith Preserve, theyve got me covered. Theres always a full stock of the freshest, hottest flies, streamers, muddlers, poppers.. You name it, They got it. I dont even bother shopping online anymore.. Theyre close, convenient, knowledgable, friendly and always have my back to ensure I get the most of my honey hole and my next adventure.

I like orvis quality.... And I was very happy when they opened an orvis store near me.. Given that I live in nyc its very hard to find fly shops nearby.. However I was disappointed when I went to the store and saw that they had a very poor trout/steelhead fly selection .. Also dont expect to find any specific fly tying materials there either... Most of the space is dedicated to the clothing and not flyfishing which was disappointing to me.. Service is great however I would like to see them offer and display more flytying materials and flies that they usually offer online afterall orvis is a flyfishing outfitter and thats what i expected to find..
