Im shocked at seeing negative reviews for Raceway gas. I visit here often and find it to be so convenient. Maybe they had a bad employee who worked nights or something, but my encounters have all been good. Definitely a good place to stop if you need gas or other convenience items while youre out and about.

The worst gas station on the island. Was good before 7-11 took it over, now they never have any drink lids, their machined are always down, no sugar or cream for coffee, place is always a mess. Stay away!

Worst. Gas. Station. Experience ever! I understand it is Memorial Day weekend, but there were four men behind the counter two checking people and two anything but working.... I had to use the bathroom terribly! So I walked into a terrible smelling toilet paper explosion of a bathroom. No. Toilet paper. No soap to wash. And no napkins to dry with a poss poor excuse of a hand dryer. I went and asked one of the guys for toilet paper, and he handed me hard napkins and said we are out. LIke it was funny. Then said it would be ten dollars. So glad I didnt take my son inside! He would have needed a good round of shots from the doctor!!! Come on when traffic is high, service has to be high to. And a bathroom should never have a dumpster as a trash can. Pitiful.

I visited this store on 7/23/2017 at 6:30 PM. I was staying at a hotel near by and wanted to get a treat for my dog. My dog loves hot dogs so I thought this would be an ideal treat for her. When I saw the hot dogs on the cooker, they had turned to leather! See the photo. The hot dogs were rolling endlessly on hot rollers. I was mesmerized by their brown leathery appearance. How long had these dogs been baken?! 1 day, 2 days, longer? I didnt know it was possible to cook a hot dog to the point it would split open the length of the dog and cook from the inside out. The hot dogs were unfit for human consumption. Theres no way Id give that to my dog. Does this place have something against hot dogs? Good grief, put those dogs out of their misery with a proper burial and flush them down the toilet!

As I read all these negative comments on their restrooms here all I can say is damn! I haven’t seen their bathroom EVER like any of these comments have read yet! The store employees always are friendly when I go in there. Y’all sound like a bunch of cry babies! Sincerely your Galveston location raceway shopper!

Decent fuel prices compared to other place in Galveston

The automatic shut-off mechanism of pump 8 was not working. I only noticed until ~24 oz of gasoline had been flowing from underneath my car. I had to step on a small puddle of gas to reach the nozzle and manually shut it off. To my understanding and from my experience, (1) this safety feature should NEVER fail, and (2) if it does, it should be promptly addressed. The attendant immediately blamed that I must have been on my phone and not paying attention. No, I was not and this should not happen either way - I told him this, but he did not offer any real help.This is a serious safety concern and will contact RaceWay about this. Apparently this station doesnt promptly address their problems because half of the pumps were already out of order (handles covered in yellow tape). Should have taken that as a bad sign.

The bathrooms arent very well maintained, the smell is awful and there wasnt any toilet paper or paper towels either.

Horrible place with dirty single bathrooms. Prices are not displayed on many items. The guy at the register does not provide a recipit, when asked. Think twice before visiting this location.
