Very nice location however very rude and unhelpful staff/management. :(…family of four dropped in to grab Starbucks and checkout the latest kid book releases.

One of my favorite stores and this is a good one. Very helpful staff member left what they were doing and walked me over to the section of the store I was looking for.

A cool place to visit. They have lots of books and they allow you to have a seat and read at you leisure.

I walked in to a warm welcome. The book I needed was not available in- store. Customer Service was quick to order it and have it mailed to me. Membership earns you discount on all purchase.

Nice place to browse for books, unfortunately their prices are significantly higher than Amazon. If there was a small difference there would be no issue, but if you are a chain bookstore, you should be competitive on price.

Clean and organized with a vast selection of books, they also have a large childrens section with loads of books and toys as well!

Barnes and Noble is a well stocked bookstore, one of the few remaining in the region. it had a good selection of periodicals (but sadly, no newspapers).

I love browsing the books here. The Starbucks inside is also great, with quick service, although my drink was served overflowing the cup. They have a delightfully large manga section, with several print volumes of manga I did not expect to find. I could easily spend hours here reading. It’s also great that they have seating at the cafe area, so you can bring any books you want to look at and sit and read. There are also books set up in the area between the outer and inner doors, making it a great place to wait for a friend, keeping an eye out for them and still reading

This is a really good store. Plenty of popular books in stock along with other items like toys, games, art supplies, cards, and magazines. The store also has a pretty nice and roamy Starbucks inside

Friendly staff and great selection. The layout is a bit wonky. I wonder if its due to COVID precautions. Regardless, B&N is my comfort spot. Ill find any excuse to go there.

I absolutely love this Barnes and Noble! I go there all the time and I had a wonderful conversation with one of the employees yesterday about books that we both love. I wish I could remember her name. This store is always clean, the customer service is excellent and it is literally my sanctuary.

Been coming to this location for years! The magazine section improved lots but the benches were awesome before Covid19 hit. If cant sit there just sit at the Starbucks table.

Good selection, and I do not remember the name of the nice lady behind the counter but if she is to sum up the attitude of the employees there then everyone is a absolute treat. Super good experience whenever I want to buy a book.

I love Barnes and Noble and this location is terrific as far as book selection/availability. One thing I always forget is B &N is great for gifts, especially gifts for children. Be sure to stop here for Xmas, birthday, Easter basket surprises, etc.!

Barnes & Nobles in Rio is a great place to pick up a new book. Youll find the latest and best sellers here. They offer a wide rage of books. They got books for everyone. Examples, comic books, anatomy books, language books, and so much more. Theres a board game section, a music section and a magazine section on the far right of the Barnes & Noble. They also have a children book section all the way in the back, good books for a young readers. You can take a seatt with a drink or a cookie from the Starbucks inside the Barnes & Noble with your new read in your hands.

Love 💘 coming here to browse for books as well as holiday items. Tried the cinnamon spice tea at the Staubach inside the store. The young lady was so pleasant and patient with my choice of beverages. If there is a line it moves quickly. Everyone has their happy face ☺ on.

Went for a couple of Christmas reading gifts. Got help finding one of the books. In and out quickly. Just what the doctor ordered. Now I just to find some cookies to go with the books. This is a perfect year for reading. And Barnes and Noble in Rio is the best deal in town.

It is always a great experience when I visit Barnes and Nobles. The books, music and DVD sections are such treasure finds for me. My favorite section is the Christian books, I can sit in there for hours just reading with a good cup of Starbuck vintage teas.

I love B&N! I would live there if they would let me... but they wont even let me sit in the big comfy chairs anymore! Im guessing it had to do with a dress code violation on my part. I didnt see a sign anywhere that mentioned pants being required...😁

Barnes & Noble stands alone as the center of our community. There is no where else to browse knowledge, have a cup of coffee and find respite from the intensity of everyday life. From time spent at 18th and Fifth Ave in Manhattan to the respite at grand suburban locations, there is no peer to B&N. I hope that the private equity owners (Elliott Management Corporation) will factor in the return on the pubic good entrusted to them and keep our communities whole.

I love this spot. The atmosphere is peaceful. I love coming here to study French without interruption while having a snack. I will be glad when I can return to this store and regain some modicum of serenity. The staff are customer-focused, friendly, and respectful.

Love this staff! They are always there to help if you need it and its almost like they are psychic when you just want to wander. If you are uncertain of what new book you want to jump into, just ask an associate because they always have GREAT suggestions!

Had my toddler and we bought a toy and she wanted to play with it so we sat down. A lady that works there rudely told us no sitting in the store!

Called ahead to make sure they had what I wanted and they were so accommodating to check the magazines for me. Lots of close by parking and friendly employees to help. Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged.

This Barnes & Noble is always great to spend time in. Usually the smell of fresh baked goods is quick upon you when you enter and the all the latest books are right there in front. There is also the section with the staff picks. Interesting to see those.On weekdays it is a great place to go and sit for a while to read or work. Really not that busy so its pleasant.This is in a shopping area with Target, Dicks Sporting goods and other stores. Parking is plentiful, free and nearby.

One of my favorite places to go and spend time. Great selection. I wish I could afford more. The atmosphere is conducive to linger and shop. The fragrance of coffee in the background helps to create a stress - free environment. Love this store.

I love this place. They always have the latest releases, and the staff is really reliable when you need help finding a specific selection. Its not incredibly packed most days, and its a great place to hang around in and just read for a few hours. They have a cafe, too.

I am in this B&N a few times a week to read and have coffee. Face it nothing smells better than a B&N. That book smell is my drug of choice. Oh I almost forgot. Place is tidy and clean, and the staff is always so helpful and kind.

Staff are friendly and nice. The only caveats are that there are no outlets by the Starbucks area and they dont use the Starbucks app. Otherwise the store is clean with the typical selection. Staff are helpful when trying to find things.

They recommended the membership at a rate of half the normal rate. Then my toddler and I paid full price and they said, oh the discount is on the books. Well if I bought 1 $1 book, 20% off wouldnt take 12 dollars of the cost of the membership so thats not what you said. Manager and extra team member needed to explain to me what I already knew. Go to Amazon!

Was told they closed at 530 when it says they close at 10pm. Was very quickly rushed out of the store and didnt even end up getting the books that I wanted

Its good to have a book store considering they have almost gone the way of Blockbuster. Barnes and Noble is a very nice one. With a Starbucks inside and a great variety of books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, toys and collectibles. Lets hope we have a store like this for the foreseeable future.

Nowadays it’s kind of rare to be able to find bookstores. I’m glad this one is still here serving the upper county population. (The next closest one is in Rockville.) Anyway, this BN has a good selection of books and excellent atmosphere, and the smell of coffee always makes it 10 times better!

WONDERFUL place to take kids t9 read!!! The staff is so helpful when looking for a book or anything, they are marvelous!! The Starbucks within the store is just average- the staff there is less than good for sure! Sorry but not one of the staff is very friendly: BUT Barnes n Noble is a great place to come and explore!!!👍

We visit this store a lot. Excellent way to preview books you like to buy. Starbucks inside the store to enjoy a drink or snacks as well.

I ordered a version of a book online to pick up at the store. When I got to the register, a really sweet cashier told me there’s an updated version and that they have a copy in the store. She was more than willing to trade the books and go get me the newest version. Really appreciated that!

No surprises anymore at B&N, at least not since pre Borders closing.The selection is basic, they dont have a stock beyond the big name stuff. Music selection is mostly pop top 40 stuff. Toy selection is huge for a bookstore, mostly book related toys.Not that this has stopped me from going there though I dont buy much. Its convenient and I can buy a bad cup of coffee and read something that I probably will not buy.

Great way to spend time with kids and family. Plus love reading books there. Average pricing. Depends in what you buy.

I love this Barnes & Noble location. Despite of being smaller than the Rockville store, it has a very good variety of books. Always organize, clean (including the bathroom), good customer service, always go the extra.mile even when I have not find the item in that store. I 100% recommended the Gaithersburg location. The Starbucks always clean and always the people over there with a smile.

Excellent store. I went in to the cafe only. They serve starbuck’s coffee but they areNot a Starbuck’s! Don’t try using your SB card here. The cafe is owned solely by Barnes and Noble. It’s a great place to meet and chill out. Small pre-prepared item can be be purchased for consumption. Staff at the cafe is very good in general.

People are helpful here and the selection is pretty good, except for the music section. Prices are steep on some items. I had a gift card so had to use it. But I prefer to use and patronize libraries.

We love visiting Barnes & Noble Bookstore. My toddler is enamored with so many books to read and toys to explore. The staff is friendly and approachable and my older kids get to find great books with their help.

I always enjoy the smell of new books and Barnes &Noble always has a nice atmosphere. Only issue was that they had a somewhat limited selection of language learning books. I needed to check online to get what I wanted. Clean and nice store though.

Great place to just brose or do some serious buying. Always find something to satisfy each member of our family! Customer service is always eager to help whether to find a book or order one in. Checkout lines can be a bit long at times is really the only negative Ive found.
