I forgot my mask because most places dont require it but my appointment at another business did so I rushed go the nearest place that might have some. Ace was right there and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The welcome cat was cute.

I am a regular at a few different Ace hardwares around the Gainesville area but after the way they treated my wife I will not be returning to this one. There is a entire section of parking spots that get parked in if they get a delivery and no signage warning this could happen. Good luck if you get parked in and are in a rush.Edit added after owners response:Well, when she got out of the car and asked if the truck could be moved, she was met with rude tone and being told she parked in employee parking. As though the situation was her fault. Had the employees been nice the story may be different.

The masks are optional now, as are most businesses. This store has been my familys go-to place for hardware for 2 generations now. Rube is awesome.

The customer service here was so good. I was pleasantly surprised. There are signs posted on the door requiring masks, etc. There was a female employee whose impeccableCame to me asked the right questions and showed me the products. She was fantastic

I took my chainsaw in because it wasn’t running properly and was told they would take a look and let me know what was wrong.4 days later I got a message that it was done and ready for pick up. They replaced my carburetor and did a full service on my saw without any direction from me.If it needed all the work or not, that is not how you run a business.Mechanic was conveniently not there when I picked up the saw.

I love my ACE. There’s always someone there to help you find what you’re looking for. Even go out of their way to help. I needed a locked box and found the box, but the lock I liked was a bit too big. The employee drilled the hole big enough for the lock to fit. Quick-easy-in and out of the store with problem solved in a flash!

Justin and his staff are the best! I moved my mom into assisted living this week, and needed a variety of odds and ends. I needed something to put moms tv on, and when we couldnt find anything to work, they BUILT IT. These are amazing, compassionate people who will get every time of my hardware/home improvement business from now on.

ACE is definitely the place. This is the fourth time that I have gone to one of the big box hardware stores and not found what I needed. Then I walk into ACE and get the right product and service that I am looking for.

Theres no other store like Ace, and theres no Ace like this one on University Avenue. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful. They know their store with their eyes closed and always get you fixed with whatever you need. I never get frustrated here like I do on the bigger stores. Oh and the keys duplicates on Ace never fail! Trust me, as long as they keep having what I need, lous or HD will never see my face again lol

For such an inconspicuous location, this place is PACKED. The staff was kind and helpful, and I found everything I was looking for. There may need to be an order in for some more unique items, but all the basics (plus more!) exist in-store. Glad I had this place as a resource.

I go here frequently and the combination of a more diverse, niche selection of home and garden supplies with a more local sized store does a lot for me. The prices are comparable to anything in a Big Box store and the employees are way more friendly and helpful.

As soon As you walk in youll be greeted with a friendly how can I help you. The stores inventory is unbelievable. They may not have a 100 of one thing but they have one of everything. Okay, not everything but you would think so. I have lived next to this store since 1973. At this location you will find help, courteous service and most anything you are looking for from a neighborhood hardware store plus some. Stop here first, then go somewhere else if you need to.

I came in yesterday looking for astroturf, and 4 of the wonderful employees went above and beyond helping me find a location that sells it. These guys were great, helpful and funny!! I will defiantly continue doing business with this location.

My second visit within 3 weeks for specially needed parts & when Home Depot or Lowes could not meet my needs, ACE was able to do so. Not to mention the Customer Service each time... From the greeting once I walked to through the door, to the help gathering my items, all the way to checkout. Outstanding! Outstanding Customer Service!

I always shop her first, always community store before big box. Both Lowes and Home Depot are relatively close but they are not community. That being said I have found almost everything I need as a homeowner there. The staff are friendly and know the store well and most times are more helpful that the big box. Cost is comparable if not better.

Just left the store after what has been a hectic day with what has seemed like an impossible task. As soon as l walked in, they were more than outgoing on trying to help me with the issue l brought them. The manager went above and beyond and knew exactly what to do and was more than willing to help, l cant say thank you enough!

BEST HARDWARE STORE IN GAINESVILLE!! They si help you with your needs, and try to find everything for your project. If they do not have something, they will try to order it (at least with the bolts and screws). I prefer ACE than Lowes or Home Depot because of the service. Really recommended.
