We first ate at Maple Street Biscuit the day they opened in St. Augustine, so we were thrilled to find them in Gainesville, too.I *WISH* they sold the pepper jelly, because when that goat cheese and pepper jelly mix together in your mouth, it is heaven.I ordered that on a biscuit. My son ordered a chocolate chip waffle called the sweet grace that he said was better than the fancy waffle place called Cousteaus in St. Augustine, and my husband had the biscuits and gravy. Just like we remembered from St. Augustine, an EXCELLENT meal. Perfect to put in our tummies before heading off to Ichetucknee for some tubing. But if they EVER decide to sell the pepper jelly the way they do the syrup, Im buying it.Kinda cool watching the people who work here put the oranges in the basket on top of the juicer to make fresh-squeezed OJ.
This place is awesome. I usually get the farmers or the five and dime but recently decided to venture off and try some of the other menu items and they are equally delicious. The staff is great kudos to Malissa, Ashley and Robin for always making me feel welcomed. Oh and I cant forget Jeff good conversation he makes sure I am satisfied with my meal.
Oh my good God, where to begin...As a professional fat man, I feel compelled to give a true and honest recounting of what transpired that day. The restaurant was well lit and inviting, with lighting fixtures inspired by the Beverly Hillbillies. The service was prompt and friendly. The secret question to identify the order was a nice touch. The food was absolutely amazing and Ill be traveling about 500 miles up from West Palm Beach to experience it again. Absolutely outstanding. This is what biscuits and gravy are meant to taste like. Just imagine breakfast at grandmas house and there you have it.All in all, excellent. But go early because they fill up fast.
The catering services from Maple Street are great for any group function! My group loves the bacon as it always seems to be the first item gone. Highly recommend, they will not disappoint.
I like the concept and the presentation and the venue. The only issue is i wish the food was better. Its not bad or anything like that, but good be a lot better tasting. I had the squawking goat and my better half had the firebird. The mimosas are tragic...10 bucks for juice basically. Couldnt taste the prosecco if my life depended on it 😊. May go again and try something different
Great place deliofoodDon’t get intimidated by line if there is one goes quickChicken light and crispy waffles delicious Wife had squeaking biscuit w this peeper jam that awesome. Gretat place great parole. Super friendly and helpful food very freshOJ not so much. But has a lot of other drinksEnjoyThank you Maple Street
Not only is the food delicious, but the customer service is on point! So hard to come across these days. Shout out to Edwina at the Tioga restaurant for making mine, & my families experience wonderful! She personifies to the fullest what customer service is all about! We will be back! :)
Maple Street in Butler Plaza is simply the best! They catered my sons wedding rehearsal breakfast. The manager, Kelly, was such an upbeat person and helped guide me through everything I needed. She even went the extra mile to provide items not normally provided just make it everything go so smoothly. Thank you so much!
Such a sweet experience. Upon walking in we were greeted by Neil who is the Community Manager. He explained who they are, pointed out top dishes and answered all of our questions. Malory, her 1st day working took our order and Emily was there to help Malory and answer any questions. I ordered Sticky Maple Biscuit which comes with chicken and smoked bacon(which was some of the most flavorful bacon I have ever tasted) on a biscuit covered in maple syrup. This was recommended by Neil who pointed out that this is best eaten with a fork and knife. It was definitely messy but had a good flavor to it. Also got their Iced cinnamon biscuit which so perfect and very moist. And last I got their iced maple vanilla bean latte which has a good flavor but I needed to add more sweetener. After placing your order instead of asking for your name, they ask you to name a planet and whatever you choose becomes your identity for the order. So when your order is ready, instead of calling your name they call out the planet name you chose. Overall an awesome experience and one I look forward to visiting again soon.
First I would say that for the price of your simple dishes, you definitely should have someone on the grill that knows how to fry an egg over-easy. This is the second time I have dined in and ordered fried egg over biscuit and gravy and got hard yoke. Which IS NOT the way I ordered at counter. I am VERY disappointed!! Youve pretty much lost my business. Even tho its not much, its a lost customerI
Yummy good! Always packed during business hours, always fresh good tasting food & drinks, always quick, friendly, efficient service. Give them a try & you wont be disappointed.
Food is fantastic and also I accidentally left my bag there and they held onto it for me until I got it back. Amazing food, comfy atmosphere, good music, and superb staff. 10/10, would recommend.
Great food! I love biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Maple Street adds a new spice to regular breakfast traditions.
Found this place by accident. We will definitely be back the next time we come through. The biscuits are fresh and taste great. The homemade jam was very good also. Home style fries are breakfast potatoes and are great but very seasoned. 10 out of 10 recommended
Maple street on Archer Rd in Butler Plaza is hands down the best. Not only do they have the best breakfast biscuits and creamy grits I have tasted lol but the workers are also so amazing. They know me by name and exactly what I like with my order:). I love how welcoming they are and even though I be tired from just getting off work when I walk in there I’m going to leave with a smile on my face. If you haven’t tried maple street please please please go get you some of those holy ghost filled biscuits it will change you life I’m telling you. I literally could eat there every morning. Thanks maple street for the great food and also great customer service from your amazing staff.
Waited almost 30 minutes for a mobile order to be picked up at 12 pm. Told they were out of something they later made fresh.
For a gourmet biscuit place this place was perfect. Loved their sausage gravy with a kick. Coffee was amazing, can honestly say Ive not had a better maple flavoured coffee before. Food came fast and fresh. Will be returning next time I am in town.
Great breakfast ! Coffee could’ve been better it was cold . I love the orange juice!
I decided to host a brunch for the day after my daughter‘s wedding so I called Maplestreet. Kelly made everything so easy. We had 40 guest at least and as people came and went and ate the biscuit bar and the grit bar. Over and over I would hear, “ this is the best food!” Such a kind staff and delicious food. Thank you for making the end of our wedding weekend such a success!Jody
Absolutely fantastic food!!I would have liked the Gawking Goat Biscuit to double up on the goat cheese. It would be great to keep all the food the same temperature when serving. The pepper jelly was cold and the biscuit was warmish, the chicken was hot and the goat cheese was warm.It was the same situation with Hubbys Farmer Biscuit, the cheese wasnt melted, apple butter was chilled and the Chicken was hot but the biscuit was warmish.Maybe this is how they intend it?Several coffee pots were empty, as was the creamers.Bathroom caution>>>>>>> Always lock both locks on the bathroom doors- apparently the door knob one doesnt lock when you push it in. I actually opened the door on a lady. One of the ladys working there told me about the locks being this way, (as though they always were this way) on both bathrooms, when I stepped back real quick from opening the door. If an employee is aware then they should make it known and it should have been repaired already. There are 2 Restrooms..no male and no female..so be cautious.Great looking eatery, deco is really cool and seating is comfy and plenty of it!
A a very pleasant environment with a very well thought out menu. I was rather excited to try out this place, but sadly, the execution was abysmal. The potatoes in the 3-layer cake were seriously undercooked (had that raw potato taste), and overall the food was seriously lacking in taste or texture. The grits were totally devoid of any flavor, yet had too much richness (presumably from the cram cheese), and the collards lacked both seasoning and tartness from the absent vinegar. Also, since the cutlery packs didnt include spoons, I was left with the choice of gong to the counter to ask for one (whilst my food got even colder than when it was first presented), or simply eating my grits with a fork...something we southerners just dont do.These arent issues with just one visit, but rather systemic issues with the overall concept/menu, so in the future, Ill be giving them a pass.
Never been here before but the woman at the counter was friendly and explained the menu, her favorites and suggestions. I got the squawking goat biscuit and and iced coffee. The coffee was very good and had nice maple undertones. I was a little worried about the portions at first but those biscuits are much more filling than they look! The feta added a nice richness while the jam was sweet and spicy. Very good experience.
Excellent food and service. My favorite is the chicken biscuit with the goat cheese and pepper jelly.
If you’re willing to stand around and wait, the foods not bad I guess. Definitely not coming back though. Which is sad because I loved this place. But this is my 3rd time coming in when it wasn’t even busy and I’ve waited an hour for 3 items.
Love Maple Street! Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and really quick service. Its community dinning so you might even make a new friend. Coffee is good and biscuits are awesome. Theres usually decent parking as well. Its great for a quick bite before you hear to the Publix or Target thats right around the corner.
Loved it!!!! The food was absolutely amazing and everyone was super nice! They did a great job in creating a really friendly and community driven space! 10 out of 10 and definitely coming back!
Maple street is a must if you’re looking for a quick yet delicious breakfast in Gainesville. The service was outstanding and Jeff was a pleasure. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cool and they have a giant teddy bear ( I mean giant). Lots of options on the menu and the maple latte was fantastic. Definitely recommend 10/10 ! :))
50 50. Great the first time I was there. Incredibly bad this time. Took over 23 minutes to get a cold incorrect order.
I love breakfast food and am currently laying in my bed nauseous, holding in my puke. This has never happened to me, ever. The food here is rich in an absolutely bad way. I ordered the Essential B&G and there is no reprieve. The sausages were jarringly sweet. The biscuits were doughy and on par with the Pillsbury canned biscuits at Publix. The gravy is like if you took premade bagged gravy and added a gallon of heavy cream and sausages. I had to stop halfway and go to the bathroom and try not to puke. The egg was refreshing compared to everything else and they got the egg doneness pretty well. Honestly the only redeeming factor. I think I gained 5 pounds from eating half my plate. Maybe thats why people like it?
Visited from out of state and this place didnt disappoint! Friendly smiling people! Love the atmosphere! Thank you for the experience!
My first time at Maple Street was delightful. The service was very helpful (especially Jeff) and the food was delicious. The restaurant was clean and had lots of space for everyone. Highly recommend! One of the top breakfast spots in Gainesville! Will definitely be back.
We had this Maple Street cater a meeting and it could not have been better! Thank you Jeff and the crew for an amazing that hit the spot like only Maple Street can!
The food here is consistently good and the staff is friendly. To be a biscuit place, their biscuits could certainly be more fluffy though. For a gluten free choice, try the bowls!
This place is one of our favorites, but this location is special because of the people that work there. My friend and I made a long drive in from Miami and called the restaurant minutes before it closed. Kelli answered the phone and rather than turn us down, she took our order and let us pick up our food while the staff cleaned and closed up the restaurant. These two hungry travelers are forever grateful. Thank you Kelli!!
I’ve been here multiple times where I’ve had mold growing on my biscuits. They are always slow with their service, multiple times our orders have been flat out wrong. Recently they have also reduced the portions of their sides (or they just stiffed us on potatoes)This place used to be my favorite, but the quality has severely dropped off. When they get it right it’s great. I just can’t go to a place where I don’t know if it’s going to be a good experience or a moldy one.
Grabbed breakfast to go. Chicken was moist and juicy, I had the Squaking Goat and love the pepper jelly. Just wish the sandwiches came with a side as they are on the pricier side.
Real good food. Very rich. Went there for the first time with my family. As i walked in I grabbed a menu and then was approached by one of the staff and asked if it was my first time there. When I confirmed that it was, she went thruogh the menu telling me the popular items and made suggestions . Everything is made in house. Meaning that they arent serving warmed up frozen food so evrything tasted fresh. Food came after about 10 minutes or so and it was delicious. They had some of the best macaroni and cheese that i have had from a restaurant. A perfect brunch type restuarant. The general manager was there and because it was our first time there he offered us a cinnamon biscuit which was very good as well. I definitely recommend this place and make sure you come hungry because the serving size does not disappoint.
Their biscuits are really good and the place has a great vibe. I will go again.
Starting with the service: Absolutely wonder and pleasant. Very friendly. They answered all our questions. The food : OMG! So good. The apple butter is to die for.The atmosphere: Very clean and comfortable. We came first thing in the morning so it wasn’t crowded at all. I will be back. Sorry Waffle House. I’ve found my new favorite breakfast spot.
Stopped by Gainesville for a quick overnight stop and was looking for a unique, tasty breakfast joint before we started driving again.... and boy did this deliver!! SO DELICIOUS! Its a nice quick put your order in at the counter, sit for 30 seconds and food is ready and hot kinda place! I liked that you wee werent waited on, you could be at your own pace, and in our case, quick bite and go kinda morning.Friendly staff, great customer service and lots of menu items to appease many. Probably not a choice for someone on a Keto/Paleo/no carb or sugar diet! They had nice long tables to accommodate large groups of people and a long counter for couples and pairs. Loved it and wish we had it back home!!
Southern style biscuits and gravy. A fair bit spicy and most dishes have sausage or bacon.
I love love having breakfast here on my days off! The staff is super friendly. The food is dank!! Always hot and fresh. Instead of asking for your name they ask random questions so you’re actually pretty attentive to your order because you’re listening to the other silly responses. Dog friendly patio too :)
Gone here numerous times & always enjoyed it. However, this time everything was off. Didnt get the iced latte we ordered until I went up & specifically asked for it,oh, Ill make it now. It also took our food almost 30 minutes to come out & then only part, the rest 5 minutes later. The coffee ran out, I had to ask for cream, it was gone, & the bathroom s were nasty. It honestly didnt seem to be that busy, not enough for almost everything to fall apart like it did. The food was still very good, as usual.
Maple Street Biscuit Company offers a fun twist to traditional comfort food.Came here for lunch. Its an order at the counter sort of situation. Once you order, rather than offering a name for the order, they ask a question and your answer provides the name that will be called to retrieve your order. The question the day I was in was: If you could name a planet, what would you name it? (my answer, Gemini! Mainly because its the first thing that popped into my head.)Their menu is so full of deliciousness, I had a hard time deciding. Fortunately, I was with someone who is quite familiar with their menu and he offered some recommendations.I ended up opting for the Squawking Goat from their biscuit menu (adhering to my rule of always ordering a menu item if its included in the name of the business...since theyre Maple Street BISCUIT Company, I was bound to order a biscuit!).Im so glad I did. The Squawking Goat is a flakey, buttery biscuit, topped with a fried chicken breast, fried goat cheese, and smothered in their house made pepper jelly. Its delicious indulgence at its finest. For my side (because when youre betting on a caloric sh*t storm, might as well go all in), I opted for their mac & cheese.I was a little worried because living in Wisconsin has made me a bit picky when it comes to mac & cheese. We have good cheese, after all.I neednt have been concerned.Their mac & cheese is all ooey-gooey crumbled cheez-its topped cheesy goodness. For beverages, they offer a variety of fountain drinks.I opted to get my first ever sweet tea (whoa, they aint kiddin when they say sweet). I ended up adding a bit of lemonade to offset the sweetness with a bit of tartness. The service was over-the-top lovely and accommodating.Their prices are reasonable.Get to it!
SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE ‼️ Rich and bold flavors! My fiancé and I ordered the “Groovy Gravy O Ryan” and the “Five and Dime” ! OMG! EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! The vibes were perfect! Everyone from the owner to the staff to other customers were friendly! A wonderful first experience! We will definitely be back!
If you like waffles, fried chicken and gravy then this is the right place. They specialize in those comfort foods with a bit of variation. Unfortunately they dont offer a great selection if it doesnt involve those three items. They created the restaurant they intended and made it comfortable enough.
Food and staff were great! Jeff was awesome taking our orders even tho we came in right before close. Thank you!
Thanks, just wanted to make someone aware I’m sure it’s not your normal service.
By far one of the best breakfast restaurant experiences Ive had in years. My friends and I ordered some food - came out excellent except for one small part of my chicken seemed to be undercooked. I told a server and she took it away instantly, and minutes later the chef, Kelly, personally came out to talk to us and apologize. I told her in earnest that the food was amazing and I wasnt even disappointed (as I ate 90% of my meal) - yet she still continued to go above and beyond. She returned again with three $10 gift cards so we can come back and try some more food. She prides herself in her work and I honestly couldnt speak any higher for a restaurant. If I could give 6 stars, I would. This place is amazing.
My son and I love to go on breakfast dates together, and we came here today :) we felt very welcomed from the moment we walked in and the lady who helped us explained everything very well and made us feel right at home, we did not feel rushed as others formed a line behind us. We are currently waiting on our breakfast but I have no doubt it will be so delicious! Do yourself a favor and come check out Maple Street Biscuit Company, you won’t regret it! ❤️
I come here often and can attest that Jeff and his crew do an amazing job day in and day out. Grabbing some fresh biscuits on a busy day or stopping in for a bit when it’s not too busy is always a pleasurable experience.
In a college town full of fast food chains, Maple Street Biscuit Co is the perfect antidote. Best biscuit sandwich I’ve ever had, and the waffles were excellent too.
This was a horrible place to eat. I ordered the Bluegrass Grits bowl & my husband ordered a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit. We waited a really long time to get our order (15 min. Or more, which seems really long for this type order ). Both were cold when we got them. The fried eggs on each looked & felt like the eggs in a childs food play set. The grits were hard & stuck together. We ended up getting our money back & leaving. Also all the outside tables were dirty.
I am picky when it comes to Biscuits and Gravy. Maple Street Biscuit Company has the best Ive found from a restaurant...I really like the amount of spice they put in their gravy...
I’m going out of my way to write a review for the specific store because the customer service there is exceptionally awful. It’s not going to stop me from going there but is entirely rude to walk past a customer repeatedly who is standing at the “online orders” end of the counter and not ask them if they can be helped or what the name is on their online order. This is happened to me the last three or four times now and I just find it absurd because a good 3 to 5 employees walk past me every time and look at me and don’t acknowledge me. I’m writing this review almost to store close because it was dead inside and still, the 4 employees walking past me couldn’t acknowledge me. Love maple street but customer service is 0/10
Ive been eating here for about a year now. On my very first visit, I was greeted warmly by a man who I guess was the manager. I never did get his name. He was a really nice guy. Im kinda picky about food so I wasnt sure about the menu. I tried the sausage gravy and biscuits. The biscuit was good and so was the gravy except for that last kick of spicy pepper. Their gravy has cheyenne pepper or something like it in it. Ive also tried the potatoes and ham dish that they have and thats good too. The Belgian waffle was good. My favorite coffee is the light amber. However, on my last visit, I got biscuits with jelly and was absolutely disappointed. The biscuits were so salty and the jelly so full of sugar that I could actually crunch on sugar granules. Neither one was edible. The coffee was cold and tasted like it had been sitting for hours. Not good at all. And that nice manager man. What happened to him? I havent seen him. Maybe thats why everything was awful. There seems to be some changes in staff as well. My last visit was my very last visit. I wont be going back.
Im going to guess they lost our order??? We expected a wait but when about 10 people that were behind us in line started getting their orders, we started asking questions. Twice we were told they were working on it. Finally after 40 minutes we got a refund and went to Chick-fil-A.
First time here. They were very busy and very efficient. Food was hot and good. Would visit again when in town.
Friendly staff! We both get the Five and Dime and extra sauce. Hubby eats the meat off mine and we are always stuffed. The Maple Lattes are our fave too!
Clean, open with outdoor seating, fun and friendly atmosphere and staff. Ate breakfast here every day we were in town and never disappointed. The gravies are amazing. Wish we had this place at home!
Place is great, pretty quick even with large lines
Very poor cleaning of dinning areas, dirty and messy.
Took forever to get food and biscuits are much too small for $10. Cracker Barrel sequel that isnt worth the wait.
We had Maple Street cater our Christmas Party for our family. The food was amazing as always. Several of our family members had never had Maple Street before and they were very impressed. The team they have are always so pleasant to deal with and are very helpful. Thanks Maple Street Butler Plaza.
Nice staff, good latte, okay food. Odd gravy on my so-so biscuit
Great esp if You like chicken in Your biscits
This is the first place I had breakfast when I moved to Gainesville about a month ago. Great concept & staff, simple menu, and delicioussss food!
Tastey combinations. Chicken delicious. Biscuit with chicken, bacon and maple syrup very unique. Will be back.
This place is amazing!! The food is great but it can get pretty busy sometimes. I came during a busy time and they actually ran out of gravy, but they more than made up for it. The people who work here are an absolute treasure; they really care about making sure youre happy and well taken care of. A must-try in Gainesville. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
Best biscuits in Gainesville hands downn
I got the Sitcky maple sandwich which consisted of bacon, chicken, and a biscuit. I also got the hash brown cake. The verdict is: the sandwich was good, i got it with a side of the mushroom gravy which was a little spicy but not bad at all on top of the sandwich.the hash brown cake was bland though :( it lacked any flavor and seemed a little undercooked. I wasn’t all too impressed with it.
The biscuit sandwiches was good but they were small. The prices were higher than they should have been for what you got. They had a side dish of macaroni and cheese with cheddar crackers crumbled on top. It was different nothing special. The employees were nice and the restaurant was clean.
Recommended to try this place out! From out of town, needed a solid brunch place before heading back to Orlando. Saw a bunch of people inside the place was packed, wasnt sure if it was going to take a long time...But nope! Only took 13 minutes to get our meal after we ordered at the counter. Got the Bam YoYo and Five and Dime. Both were great! The five and dime was amazing, well presented and I even had left oversThey have fresh OJ and cafe drinks as well. Great open atmosphere and fast upbeat staff. Manager Kelly was great as well, she checked in to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Will be back!

First visit and definitely impressed. The food (and syrup) is DELICIOUS! I had the sweet grace waffles and the sticky maple sandwhich. It was a bit pricey, but worth it. I loved the question of the month and thats how they call your order.
Delicious and simple meal, I was looking forward to a more greasy spoon type meal but this surpassed my expectations despite being a franchise. The shitake gravy had quite the kick and their apple butter was a delicious treat.
The food was incredible! The sausage gravy was immaculate, the sweet potato fries where delicious and all of the fried chicken biscuit combinations where good. The restaurant was very cute and clean. The service was quick and efficient. I will definitely be returning.
Wife enjoyed her biscuit and gravy, my home fries were sub par. I had ordered the meal to go, but was served to eat in. When I explained that the order was to go, 4 employees stood around looking at me like it was the end of the world!!! 🤣🤷♂️, had to baby them, that it was o.k.!! Just put the food in the to go boxes! And all will be o.k. as I was leaving they looked like that they were heading to a safe place !🤷♂️🤔
I had to order to go since the location was pretty full. It’s good food and was still warm enough to eat when I got home. I was sad to notice that there was no bacon on my order which I paid for. Otherwise good food. Biscuits are really good! Ordered some to take home. I hope they hold up okay.
