The employees here are running a smooth sailing ship in the times of crazy Halloween shopping. We went to Spirit Halloween first, and were looking at spending almost $100 on one cape, one mask, and one witch hat. We came to the Party Shop and spent $50 on a name brand cloak, the witch hat I actually was searching for, and a really cool witch cape that I hadnt planned on purchasing, but I had to for the price. Im talking witches hats for $3.99, people!! Spirit halloween wanted $20 for them and that place was pure chaos.Also, I really liked that the store does NOT allow try ons. This means the costume youre getting hasnt been worn and put back in the bag by a ton of people. Hats are sanitized if anyone tries them on. The way they have costume pick-up running makes things smooth and the lines move quickly. The employees were great. Highly recommend!!

Clean store, professional staff, punctional service, and a diverse selection of props, costumes, and party favors. With prices from low to high every item is given to you safely. They are also on top of COVID-19 precautions. Exceptional store.

I had the “pleasure” of Ryan ringing me up today. I asked a simple question about whether or not they had Halloween balloons. He had no knowledge and acted as if my request was an odd one. All the other employees were working hard to assist customers and keeping their thoughts about other customers to themselves. He took a phone call during the transaction and then proceeded to end my interaction with “why did they have to be formal on the phone. That’s just so weird.” What I found weird was Ryan’s appearance like he hadn’t showered before work and his attitude towards other customers who weren’t even there. I work in customer service and regularly have weird complaints or questions, I vent with my colleagues but not literally in front of a customer as I hang up the phone. Ryan was beyond unprofessional with his comments, lack of knowledge/care, and maybe his clear look of exhaustion/lack of shower was the reason for his poor performance.

Perfect party store for all your needs. Prices are great and they have something for every occasion. Staff was very helpful & friendly!!

Amazing selection! Almost everything you can thinks of BUT this place is Rich! Most things were way more than Id ever pay to DIY Decorate a childs party! Being that costumes arent needed more than once, its a hard purchase to justify!

Had a horrible experience with the store manager Aaron. Filled up a some balloons with helium for a total of $33! This one balloon in particular is a champagne bottle balloon which they claimed didnt blow up because it had a small hole in it. I still got charged $4 for it and when I returned to pick up the said balloon it had a huge tear in it. When I asked for it back the employee had to dig it out of the trashcan and further ripped it after he saw my expression and stuffed it back in the trash. Not only did I get charged $4 and my balloon that I purchased outside the store completely destroyed with no refund, the store manager Aaron gave no sympathy, no apology, told me it was my fault and refused to compromise or offer anything to compensate for my horrible experience. I asked him for his name and a way to contact the business owners and an email or phone number and he lied to me saying there was no contact information available. He said there was no phone number and no email and the business owners information was private so he could not release it. Before leaving the store extremely upset and disrespected I asked for my balloon back and once again they had to dig it out of the trash. Interestingly enough, with a quick google search I found both an email and a phone number. Please get your balloons filled at the Dollar Store, Dollar General, or any other party store. This place is horrible, expensive, and honestly just disrespectful because of Aaron.

Love being able to go in and get what I need for paper goods and balloons.

I have shopped in many Party Stores. This store by far has the most friendliest staff. All were eager to help. I appreciate the courtesy of assisting me and my Granddaughter. Because of your effort we got the Angel Wings we needed at a price that was reasonable.Thanks, Danni and Nanna

A place you find almost anything. But some of the prices are way over priced. I cant believe what they charge for some of it. But my youngest loves going there. So we keep coming back.

Has everything you need for a party. Decent prices on everything. Oh and if you need foil products (pans, loaf pans, lasagna, etc), they have them at such a good price.

Only one problem not much on items for sale

At the new store they continue to offer a great selection and the staff goes out of the way to help (especially when they are not blowing balloons which is a big part of their business). I think anyone who rates a business 1 star because they werent greeted at the door needs to re-examine their priorities in life. I have been shopping with them for two decades and have not returned ONE item in 20 years. I have seen the signs that a receipt is required for refunds, but found no need to return anything thanks to great customer service. This is a locally-owned, mom and pop chain and local (not corporate) policies apply. My suggestion is that you ask the questions before you buy.

SO GREAT that there is a party shop in this town to grab items that you need immediately. Yes, finding party items on amazon may cost less, but you can see and feel what youre getting in the store. Very large store, great location, easy parking!

For years I have been dedicated and followed this store from city to city. Even going as far as to drive an hour and a half to shop. We spend hundreds every year for our kids birthday parties and oodles of money for the classroom as I am an elementary school teacher. Today, as i was shopping for a baby shower my 4 year old autistic son grabbed one of the items and put it in his mouth. His grandmother immediately removed it and put it back . One of the workers retrieved it, took it to the front and demanded the cashier charge us for the item as he had slobbered on it. When I informed them that I was sorry and he has autism, the cashier shrugged his shoulders and smirked. I asked to speak to the manager and when she came to speak to me, informed us that it didnt matter if there was autism or not, we still had to pay. I told her I had never heard of such a policy and it was only a couple of dollars but it was the principle alone that upset me. She began to argue with me about how she knows about autism because her mother worked in a home for 15 years. I told her that living with it daily is completely different. She wanted to argue some more, saying, well actually, actually, I have a friend whos son is autistic. I have never met a more unprofessional group of staff . I will be informing everyone I know at the blatant disregard and disrespect. I understand not everyone cares or sympathizes, but as a very loyal customer, I will not be returning and plan to take further action.

Great experience, alot of workers to help with choosing me and my 3 childrens costumes. Hope my children doesnt grow out of them in 2 weeks, because all sales are final meaning you can not exchange or return.

Never have Birthday balloons and they are slow

This is a strange place. Walked in and I was the only one in the store. Found what I wanted without help and went to pay. Registers were deserted. The whole time I felt like I was being watched. Then from behind a curtain, someone says right here. Obviously the video room thinks I. Next, I was lectured about not returning wearable items. What do I care, not gonna wear it anyway. Then for the first time that I can remember, I was subjected to an identification request after presenting a major credit card. This was despite the fact that the card machine was equipped with a working chip reader. Why does a complete stranger need to see my personal information for an $8 purchase?!? Creeped me out to say the least. Finally, the clerk made a big deal about stapling a No Return note to the product. I wont be back.

I love the store, but they really should be on top of refilling their pink supplies in Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Could not be happier with my experience today. Brittany helped me with my balloons today, she explain my options, and went the extra mile to beautifully arrange them, taking the extra time to make sure they were presentable although she was busy ( and NO ONE likes doing the balloons lets be honest)!

Bought balloons and party supplies for a baby shower on 10/15. Today is 10/14.... I woke up to the balloons on the floor. So I called and was told that latex balloons only last 8-10 hours. That would have been nice to know. The girl who answered the phone says we tell all our customers that. Well guess what you didn’t tell me. Because I would have waited to get them. Now the baby shower is ruined because of this. Do you think I would have purchased balloons on 10/13 for a party on 10/15 IF YOU HAD TOLD ME THIS!!!!!!!!!

A more honest business branding would read A Not Entirely Forgettable Shop for Party Supplies -but it would really throw off the 3-5-3 syllabic meter, I guess. Why am I talking about something so mundane and uninteresting as the unforgivably dry and bland name for a party supply shop?I swear, this is relevant.Think in your minds eye... think of a party store and what that would look, sound -and heck, maybe even *smell* like.Now hit the pause button, and replace all of that with the visual charm of a Tupperware factory outlet and half the energy of a library after 2pm on a Thursday when everyones missed lunch. Smells slightly like balloon rubber and candy corn.Okay, if youre not upset as well about the overall description of a PARTY STORE being literally as dull as a 48hr marathon of Citizen Kane at a DMV, I believe we can assume that were just not going to get along on a social or intellectual level. Im sorry.

Cool little place. Prices vary, some stuff is pretty expensive whole other things are cheaper than Ive seen around town. Employees are pretty nice.

Nice variety of costumes but their return policy is the absolute worst. Wore my $30 costume once and it FELL APART- holes in the back along with the gloves ripping apart (had one of those morphing, full body suits) and they wont exchange it. I understand no refunds, but no exchanging is ridiculous. Simply wearing a costume once should not result in its destruction. Wasted $30. Garbage experience. Garbage policy. Would never go there again. More like Simply Forgettable.

Customer service isnt good. I walked around 10 minutes not once did anyone asked if, I needed help. Wasnt greeted when I walked into store. I noticed everyone else that entered the store was greeted. Two employees was at the front blowing balloons. BTW shopping for a double baby shower in December.

Awesome visit each employee and manager I interacted with was more than helpful and very pleasant. The store was clean and in order and very easy to find things. Visited Saturday about 4pm.

Went in looking for a theme basically found they have a whole selection of solid colors and a very few themes I was looking for a wood pattern theme the closest they have is camouflage. So Meh.

Went to return an unused item, streamer ribbon. Simply because the barcode sticker had a small tear in it, from opening packaging, they refused a refund. I ended up leaving the product on their counter because I had no need of it.

I have gone 4 times to find different things and they never have what I need. They dont carry any Halloween/costume supplies out of season so if you need something for a party or event, you are out of luck. The store is in disarray and just very unwelcoming. The staff is also pretty barren. Gainesville needs an actual Party City, at least, because this place is useless.
