These folks are trustworthy. I do not easily trust mechanics at all. Some would even say I assume bad things about mechanics. However, this group is an exception. Everything you hear about them from other people is accurate. They are knowledgeable, good people, and instead of over serving for extra charges, they told me my oil was still good. The prices for me were below online comps.

As good as you can expect. They were honest, and pricing was fair. The actual cost was lower than the quote. There was a delay with one of my parts, but it didnt too long overall.

We had to drop our vehicle off after hours. They had a great key drop system. We were able to write out our information and the issue with our car. They called us first thing the next morning and got right to work. Great price and kind staff.

First off, I want to make an PUBLIC APOLOGY to Mr. Jorge. I was a little harsh with him today, regarding my car. I am so used to ppl trying to find issues wrong with the car to make some extra money, but that is NOT Mr. Jorge. I can tell that he is a very genuine business man and doesnt like to overcharge people. I have been a little impatient getting my car back, because like I said, Im used to ppl trying to swindle me out of my money. But by the reviews and meeting Mr. Jorge personally, I have no doubt in my mind that my baby will be running smoothly. Just picked my baby up from the shop, and I PROMISE you that my car hasnt ran this smoothly since Ive had it. Definitely getting all my work done here. Mr. Jorge even called after hours to ask me am I satisfied. When I say above and beyond....Thats what I mean. :D

Perfection Auto Repair was amazing. The starter on my car went out and I thought Id have to pay a big tow bill on top of everything else to get it to a shop. George offered to have it towed for free. I called in the morning and my car was ready by the evening. Quick and efficient and the price was good for the services as well. Ill be going back here for any service needs.

Jorge is the best. Went in expecting to pay $1300 to repair my air conditioner on my 07 Toyota and ended up spending just $218 for cold air and an oil change. Honest mechanics are hard to find. By far the best experience I have had at a mechanic. I came in with a coolant system issue, but Jorge and his team found an issue with the wires to the battery and fixed it no problem! I am always so nervous to find a mechanic as a college student, especially being female, but Jorge was very honest and forward with me. I am recommending this place to anyone and everyone, they are all so sweet! They even gave me a ride back to my dorm when I had to go to classes!

Does a great job every time I call. He recently put new shocks and springs on my 95 Jeep. He didnt charge extra to work through all the rust. Spanish speakers can be understood here.

I appreciate the honesty and understanding prices of this company! They also give student discounts, and have great coupon deals! I went for an oil change, and they threw in a tire rotation, topped my fluids, and made sure my tire pressure was all set! Mr. Jeorge and his crew were very nice, and gave me tips on keeping my car healthy in between oil changes. While I waited, they allowed me to do my homework in the lounge area with free WiFi, drinks, comfy couches, and television. I only had to wait for just under an hour until my car was all ready! I will be returning for future repairs and check-ups while in Gainesville!

I came about a month ago on a recommendation by a friend because my Honda Civic was saying to check its emission system. Jorge over the phone told me it would be $30 to check the problem which was a fair price compared to other locations in Gainesville. He checked my car out, ordered the piece, and had the car fixed and running in about 2 hours for only $100. It was a very fair price and he did not charge me for the initial check in of a problem. If I ever have another issue with my car I know I can come to him!

They do good work for a fair price.

I had some major work done. Rear brakes, radiator hoses, timing belt, all other belts, seals because they were in there anyway, and oil pump. Prices seemed to be reasonable given the large amount of work. All of those repairs are still holding over a year later with no signs of issues, and the major oil leak I had at the time has not returned. I plan to return for more work if I need it.

Straight shooters and honest. They wont recommend repairs unless its needed. Great prices, too! Jorge is awesome!

Found this great place when y car started giving me issues. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly and were up front about the repair and other possibilities. Even called to make sure the vehicle was running well after we took it home.

Honest is possible! I went in for a failing cruise control and brake lights. He quickly found the problem to be a broken plastic switch connected to the brake pedal. Found and replaced the part within an hour for under $50. He could have easily charged me much more if he was dishonest, but proved otherwise!

Perfection Auto Repair is the best auto repair place I have ever used. Their prices are fair, they dont try to con you into getting repair that you dont need, they do quality repairs and do them quickly, and they are some of the nicest, most honest people I have ever met. This is the incident that happened about a year ago. Im just writing it now. I went there because I could not open the trunk of my car. When I dropped the car off, I specifically told Jorge not to proceed with any work without my authorization and that I would like to know how much it would cost first. He called me about 15 minutes later and told me that it would cost $170 to find out where the problem is and that he could not tell me how much it would cost me to fix it until they know where the problem is. I told him not to proceed with the work and went back to pick up the car back. But he still charged me $35 nonetheless because he already opened trunk. I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM NOT TO DO ANYTHING BEFORE TELLING ME HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST!! I paid because I didnt want to argue but it was not right.

I challenge you to find a more decent, honest, caring, or real mechanic. These are good people and that, as they say, is priceless.

Not really sure how to say this, so i will start with the positives.Positive 1) everyone seems nice.Positive 2) they seem willing to make things right.Positive 3) the owner cars about reputation.This all seems good, and should be good.So whats the problem?Simply put, lack of talent.I took my car there for a wheel alignment, a very, very simple procedure as my car is a mustang, (thrustline front wheel alignment, only has 1 adjustment that can be made (front toe)), i needed/wanted to do the alignment because i just replaced struts, and rotated my wheels (i maintain my car well), my car was not pulling or anything, I just wanted it true after doing suspension work.After i got my car back, I noticed that it did not drive straight with the wheel pointed straight (this is not good, considering it was just aligned). The next free week day i had i took it back to the shop and explained what the issue was, without hesitation the owner offered to help, they took my car, i believe they put it back on the shop alignment machine... and this is where it starts to go downhill.Their machine once again said the alignment was correct, so without asking me they proceed to rotate my wheels (remember, i just did this before i took the car there). At this point i feel they were just changing things to see if that fixed it.. this is NOT how auto work should be performed.The owner then tells me that he believes the car had tire pull so he rotated the wheels, my instant reply was that i just rotated the wheels, and the tires only have 2000 miles on them.Well.. after the owner drives the car, and gives it back telling its spot on, i drive it away, i drove the car no more 3 or 4 miles before realizing that nothing is different, and still does not go straight, i take it right back to the shop and tell the owner its not good... I actually take him for a ride with me and show him what is happening, at the same time telling him what would have happened in tire pull, drift, pull, dog tracking, and showing him that in this case, the car just dont go straight with the wheel straight (once again worse then i gave it to them).. then when he started to explain things, and why he rotated the tires... i realized that he just did not know what to look for, i did not try to argue with him or anything. That being said, the owner did tell me that i could bring it back, and if they had to they would look at everything to get it rightI believe the problem is that have to much confidence in the shops new alignment machine (HawkEye) that most likely was not used correctly, or is not calibrated correctly (this is actually very common)I normally do all car maintenance/repair myself, and even for my friends that ask nicely, but somethings i can not do (like alignments, because i just do not have a $20,000 alignment machine, nor a place to put one) because of lack of garage tools.So my overall conclusion is that this shop is honest, has very good owner that cares about getting it right... I can not say anything bad how they try to do business...but they are no better then a group of shade tree mechanics with garage tools.From my point of view, it took 2 shop visits to give me a bad wheel alignment, and undo a tire rotation i just did (literally, 3 days before taking it to the shop).. and this is a very, very easy alignment to preform .. because of this i will not bring my car back to them and i will just eat the loss and get it done right.

Today I came into Perfection Auto thinking I needed my valve cover gasket replaced, Well come to find out it was my harmonic balancer instead. Jorge and his crew were so kind took pictures and explained what was really happening to my oil. Thank God they did such a great job at looking at my car before they did the work. If I wouldve drove with it like that much longer I would not have a vehicle, that couldve destroyed my nice ride. Just go to another mechanic shop...Its very sad that I have to write the review. I am a long term customer that has come in for various jobs. I came in today to get a brake job done. I had a coupon for 139 plus tax. Jorge then said my car needed additional labor for my brakes so the price would be 321. I politely declined and said I would not be getting my car serviced there, that day. He then said it was aganist the law for him to let me drive on the street due to the condition of my brakes (i drove there and the brakes were weak but still driveable). He then said I had two options, let him fix it or it would have to be towed. I was okay if it was being towed because he would pay for it. After about an hour of waiting, his son then came and said it would be an additional two hours to get my car towed. At that point I became frustrated and researched online and realized it was AGANIST THE LAW for them to hold my car hostage. I then asked if I could get it in writing that they would not release my car and his son began to yell at me, and said he isnt putting anything in writing and I can call the police if I want and they wont be able to do anything. I was on the phone with the police making the report and telling them what the son had said to me and he kept yelling in the background. Long story short the police came and said they would charge the shop with GRAND THEFT AUTO if they did not return my keys. Will not be returning here and referring my friends to other shops. Very sad.

I almost never write reviews for anything, but Im going out of my way to write this one. Having moved here to Gainesville for school, I was stuck finding a new mechanic for my car. Im very picky about where I bring my car for repairs because I generally dont trust mechanics, but Jorge at Perfection Auto is certainly trustworthy from my experience so far. Hes kind, honest, and makes it a point to explain everything to you up front and show you what hes talking about. He came recommended to me from multiple classmates of mine who have lived here for years, and he certainly has delivered.A great thing I like about Jorge is that he is VERY picky about the parts and fluids he puts into your car. One of my previous mechanics put crap parts into my car (such as a valve cover gasket and transmission gasket that BOTH started leaking again after just 30k miles, and many other parts) that had me continuously going back to him for repairs. Not Jorge- he takes the extra effort to find quality parts that will last. Same goes for the fluids- hell look up everything and make sure he puts in exactly what the manufacturer recommends, unlike others Ive dealt with who dont care and put whatever type of fluid they want. He goes with Valvoline oil only, which is a good sign too because in my experience of performance cars that take a HEAVY beating, Valvoline always held pressure the longest and kept the engines clean as a whistle (this is coming from a friend who builds performance mustang and camaro engines all day long).They also brought me home and to school from the shop while the car was in for repairs, I have seriously never met a more kind mechanic who really does seem to care about the customer. He tries to save me money where he can, such as the event that lead me to find him in the first place, after the Nissan dealership here lied to me and said my a/c compressor needed to be replaced. (DO NOT bring your car to the Gainesville Nissan Dealership, they are lying scumbags). They wanted $1000 to replace the a/c compressor, and they specifically told me there was NO freon leak. So I brought the car to Jorge for the first time thinking hed have to replace the compressor, and he found a freon leak clear as day! The dealership is full of liars. Jorge fixed the leak, saved me $800, and the a/c is working good as new. Id definitely recommend him.
