Absolutely amazing! There are a variety of beautiful dresses. I recently got my prom dress there. The one woman that worked there was so nice and knew exactly what would fit and look best. The dress fit like a glove.... like it was meant for me! I’m so happy and can’t wait until prom! I will definitely shop here again and use them as a reference.

My mom and I poked our heads in here after going to Costco just to look at the white dresses. My wedding is next year so we didn’t really have any intentions on buying anything. Well we ended up walking out with a beautiful beaded ivory ball gown! This store is a great place to find options that are stunning and ACTUALLY affordable. We paid $350 for a gorgeous dress! Definitely check this place out if you’re in the market and don’t want to spend more than your mortgage on a dress you’re going to wear once but still want to look amazing!! Found an AMAZING dress here for my upcoming Marine Corp Ball! The lady at the shop was extremely helpful and found me exactly what I needed in terms of style and price. They do military discount and layaway if needed. Tons of styles and colors. I will be back for any and all special occasions.

Between some of the amazing reviews and some of the bad I can personally say that my experience was the best service I have EVER gotten at ANY clothing store. I had the (I’m assuming owner/father) give suggestions and jewelry choices to match the beautiful gown I bought and a wonderful young lady that helped zip me. (They want to zip you because they never want the zipper quality to be compromised because of an accident while zipping yourself) I enjoy the fact that they hold plus sizes and will tell you what will look good on your body type. They have gowns (designer and not) of all sizes shapes and colors you could dream of. They are wonderful with their customer service. They do have a no return or exchange policy HOWEVER they help you so much and make sure you are aware of this before you purchase and they make sure that you are perfect in your dress. I would recommend this formal shop to anyone, any age and for any occasion! 💕💕💕💕 I saw some reviews that said they didn’t allow pictures and this frustrated them. But I loved this because of the privacy of other customers and because of your in the background of someone’s photo in your gown then it may ruin your surprise. I will be returning here for my wedding day, bridesmaids and anything of a special occasion for years to come

My daughter and I came here to shop for her prom dress, and I can say this is one of the best shopping experiences Ive had in a long time! One of the girls with long black hair helped my daughter and was very informative about the textures of the dresses, and what would best fit her prom setting. She was very easy going, very beautiful girl, and caring! I believe her name was Roohma; apologies if Im spelling that incorrectly; however, her customer service alone was very welcoming, and answered every question we had without hesitation. All the other dress places Ive been to didnt seem to care as much as this young lady. and I will definitely be back when its time for my other two daughters to shop for a formal event!

My teenage daughter has a special event next week and needed a formal dress. Our budget was under $100 and wed been all over town looking for the perfect dress. We decided the other night that wed check out the mall. After yet another failed trip, an associate at Macys told us about H & G. I wasnt too optimistic at first, but thought there wasnt any harm in checking it out. We hit the jackpot! The dress was beautiful, the only one within our budget, and fit perfectly! The service was on point as well! Just be warned that they do have a no return or exchange policy, so keep that in mind before you buy.

Came in today looking for a wedding dress and had a great experience. They helped line up dresses I may like and provided great assistance while trying them on. In the end, I ended up buying 2 dresses for way less than what I wouldve paid for 1 at other bridal shops I looked at in the area. I recommend this for anyone looking for wedding or formal wear. I was pleasantly surprised.

Lots of dresses for all occasions. They help u try on dresses and give advice to help u. Very friendly and helpful. She has pictures of people in there dresses and in courage others to do the same. So after I get married I will send her a picture. Very good prices especially if your on a strict budget. She also gives u 30 days to pay for it. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a formal, or just a beautiful dress with class. The staff was very friendly and they showed me different varieties based on my needs. I ended up buying pair of shoes, tuxedo suit. I was pleased with the quality and overall experience. H&G Formal has always come through for me for several events. My go to store for dresses and Tux for the family. Just bought a beautiful Sherri hill prom dress for my daughter and Tuxedos for my boys. Love their collection. Staff are incredibly helpful and patient with you. They have a range of designers to choose from with a varying price range. They never disappoint. I look forward to my future shopping experiences at H&G formal.

They were very very helpful, spent lots of one on one time to help me find the perfect dress. They talked to other stores and looked online without me having to ask.The dress I wanted was no longer being made by Sherri hill so they offered to add a corset back. Excellent customer service and they truly wanted to help you find the best dress for you, they don’t rush you they help.

The store is great an has a lot of nice dresses. We paid almost $400. For my daughter’s senior prom dresss an now with this virus goin around it’s been canceled an now I have a dress that has never been out the bag an can’t return it. I think I should b able to return it being it was the President and the governor that canceled the prom.

I purchased a dress from H & G. The second time I went with my daughter to try on her dress the owner’s son was in the shop. His customer service was horrible. My daughter’s dress was extremely too long and the dress was very wrinkled. The owner’s son kept trying to tell me the dress was not too long. He was loud and argumentative. I asked about alterations and was advised that alterations were by appointment only. I asked one of the store clerks if I could get my daughters dress steamed. She said yes, but when the owners son heard this he began saying we can’t steam your dress. We don’t have time, with only one other customer in the store. After arguing with the owner’s son and begging the clerk to honor what she agreed. The owner’s son agreed to let the clerk steam the dress. I was fine waiting an hour and half to get the dress steamed. I encouraged the store to place the rules of their shop for customers to review before ever purchasing a dress. I paid over 400.00 for a dress to be treated badly once they had my money. I wouldn’t recommend anyone shopping for prom or any other occasion at this shop. The customer should always be treated with respect before and after a purchase.

The service here was absolutely amazing. If you can’t find the style or size, you can let them know and then they’ll get it ordered for you right away! The customer service is 5 stars no doubt about that

Very friendly and helpful associates. They a large variety of dresses with different styles and sizes. They rent tuxes and suits with the ability to purchase with the prices very reasonable and great quality. I rented my tux from here and the fit was very good. The staff is excellent and very professional, I would definitely recommend this store to everyone!

I go to H&G often and this time I bought a dress for myself and my two little girls it was very pleasant experience. The prices are very reasonable. I like the fact that you can buy your matching jewelry and shoes there as well. The staff is professional and very friendly. I want to Thank Paul for making our visit fun and simple.

We came today to find a prom dress for my niece and it was an amazing experience. Everyone who worked there was so nice and attentive. They were patient and helpful throughout the entire process and we found the perfect dress at a great price. I will definitely be back for all my formalwear needs!

H&G Formal has a great selection of Tuxedos. I recently got a Tux for a weeding and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Made my shopping experience pain free and easy. I was in and out of there with what I needed with a great quality Tux.

Great store that is full of dresses from prices $99 to over $1000 with sizes ranging from 00 to 26 (4x). So far that Ive seen, their size max in store is 3x or 24. The people helped greatly by going with my style, color, and price range. They also require that they zip or tie up your dress when you are trying it on so that no one can break the dress. One dress I was trying on, the lady broke the zipper off and there is a on-hand man that will fix anything that needs to be repaired. Have not bought a dress from there yet due to the high demand in my size and color but will be reevaluating their supply soon enough before prom season appears soon. They are fantastic otherwise and do their best to help. Check out their Instagram too!! No pictures or videos are allowed though so you will not find many photos of how great the place is. (Update 3/25/2018 I did get my dress and they still gave spot on customer service. Fantastic store! Will most likely go back one day.)

I selected H and G Formal to rent tuxedos for the groomsmen in my wedding party. It was a large wedding party and there were many issues with the tuxedos. We ordered in February for a June wedding. Tuxedos came in at the last minute with many issues. Suits and shoes weren’t the right sizes. Shoes and laces were dirty. The groomsmen were still trying to get the right tuxedos up until a day before the wedding. Some of the wedding party still never received the right sizes. People who worked in the store gave ridiculous reasons as to why things were not correct. I would not rent or buy anything else from this store.

Took my daughter in last night who lives out of state To find a homecoming dress...Very wide selection of dresses in many styles ..Rohina assisted her and was very attentive and patient. She helped her find the perfect dress that was just my daughters style. Would highly reccomend H&G!!! We will be returning to purchase my other daughters dress there as well.

They captured what we were looking for, for prom with their first pick. They saw what we liked and found something and bam!!! They were very helpful!! I would definitely come back for any future formal occasion.

It provides that old world style unparalleled hospitality which is so hard to find these days with one of the best dress selections you can find in Virginia or around .
