Helpful folks and good prices but none of staff is wearing masks.

I have have gone to Lumber 84 five times now. Sam looked after me the first time and since then, he has been a pleasure to work with. Sam has all of the necessary knowledgable, skills and abilities (along with tricks of the trade) that assisted me with putting in a rail system, deck system etc. He is a pleasure to deal with. I will only go there from now on, for all of my future projects. Sam, keep up the good work! Your customer service is second to none

Prices were better on treated lumber than anyplace else I got quotes from. Saved me a lot of money

Never acknowledged my presence, no apparent concern for cleanliness or organization. There was lumber

We have had to order twice from this business, due to no other options in town. You have to call them to make sure your stuff is in, or good luck hearing from them at all.If there is an ordering issue, they won’t call you about it. So keep calling them to make sure your order comes in.

Made a delivery here and was unloaded within 15 minutes. There is no overnight parking available.

Worst experience Ive ever had. I special ordered (via phone) 2 pieces of hardboad. I paid the full amount at time of order. After a week and a half I had not received them. I called them and they didnt have any information on order at all so I cancelled the order and requested a refund. The refund did not show up on my credit card account so I called them again. Chris told me the refund had to be approved by corporate - really? After a few more days the credit never appeared. After the third time I was assured, by Chris that they he was going credit it at that moment. Still no credit. I finally resorted to disputing the charge through my credit card company. I dont know if 84 lumbers corporate policies are ham-stringing their employees ability to provide good customer service or what, but my experience was so bad, and wasted so much of my time that I will never purchase anything from them again.

I have not been to the 84 Lumber here in FXBG yet, but I will be going as soon as possible, and spending my money there! American values are precious to me, and corporate expression of those values deserves a reward. I will be posting and promoting 84 on social media and with my friends and neighbors!

Store manager is lazy and incompetent. Dont expect good service here. They wont call you back, and the amount of service you receive depends on the money youre willing to spend. Will take advantage of you on prices if they think they will get away with it.Go to Lowes.

Pretty much everyone that works in the store knows that I just bought a house here in Fredericksburg. I starting ordering my moulding from them because I was looking for something other the what you get at Lowes or Home Depot. And I try and support local businesses besides the response from Lowes or Home Depot, isle 15 on the left hand side. I tried to place an order last week for some special order base. They had to call on Monday to get the price. Since they know me I figured it was just ordered and I had to pick it up. Nope. It was not ordered but neither did I get a call to tell me what the price. They could have gotten in touch with me at least thru my work.The other issue is, one hand does not know what the other hand is doing. If order something thru a but you call the next day to inquire and talk to b they cant help and has happened on more then occasion.If I want crappy service, Ill go to Lowes or Home Depot. I at least expect it there.

Great service. Why head anywhere else

Went in with my husband to speak to someone about our new deck. The young man with nametag Chris on his jacket was rude, and he smelled like he had been drinking alcohol, and the other young male was spitting what appeared to be chewing tabacco into a bottle, right there at the counter. This is not the type of business we want to deal with. We took our business elsewhere.
