I had my granddaughter look over their flutes available online and she choice one. I emailed them to check on layaway and they do have it. I paid the down payment and took my son to finish paying it off. My granddaughter loved it when she saw it. Her band teacher told her that the Gemeinhardt flute was an excellent choice.

Over-priced for sure! Staff was decent. Curious why the high pricing on used acoustic guitars that were definitely used and not kept in tune with some feeling dirty to the touch. Bought an item that I later found brand new on Amazon with all the hardware included for $25 cheaper. No more impulse buying for me without the research. Don’t want to knock them but just keeping it real.

I called so many different stores asking about an accordion and no one could help me. And then I called these wonderful guys and they went out of their way to help me get a accurate appraisal for it. Where EVERY other store told me to google it. Amazing job fantastic attitude, customers mean everything to these people and it shows.

Brought in a $1200 boutique acoustic/electric, brand new with tags still on. Still in the original box and hardshell case. The offer I got was $150. I understand that a business needs to turn profit, but the offer was actually insulting.

April 2015Wow, I just stopped by the store again to see if they had an amp that would work for me. These guys are packed with great stuff right now (lots of speakers, drums and guitars). Friendly staff and lots of stuff to choose from. I spent about half as much as I thought I would. These guys let me try out the amps until I found the one I wanted. Tried to sell my banjo guitar which is in mint condition. It was insulting, the offer they made. Was less than 1/4 of what it is worth. The employee was clearly not knowledgeable about them and personally I think he tried to rip us off. Offered $60 for a $300-$400 instrument. Avoid these charlitans.

Nice place to look for used instruments. Weve bought a couple of instruments from them and have always been impressed at the bang for the buck. For the money youd spend renting an instrument elsewhere, you could own an instrument bought used from here. They also do layaway, in case the PERFECT instrument shows up and youre not ready to plunk down the whole price. And of course you can stretch your budget by bringing in a trade, too. The staff is knowledgable and friendly, and dont favor the hard sell technique which is refreshing.

Nice selection of used stuff and repair parts, couldnt get a greeting or help. Looked like a hassle to demo a guitar. High prices for used gear obviously not tuned or repaired. Was hoping for a home town guitar shop, felt more like a pawn shop.

I bought my son a used electric drum set here. The guy was super nice and helpful. He gave me a free adapter for the headphone jack and even helped me load the equipment in my car. If I ever need any music equipment in the future, I will definitely do business there again.

Bought a guitar off these guys over the Internet, first time I think Ive had someone misrepresent a product in a good way. They listed the guitar in great or excellent condition, I would have called it immaculate! When I look for music stuff on the Internet, theyll be stop one. My wife was delighted! She got the guitar shes wanted for a decade in amazing shape at a very reasonable price. Wish the store wasnt 20 hours drive from me. :)

I ordered a 5 string from these guys about a week ago and I was INCREDIBLY excited when I finally got it last night. When I got the bass out of the box and started playing I unfortunately found it was in awful condition. The action was awful, it was missing the cover for the batter, the plate that covers the truss rod was broken, the input socket needed resoldered, and about a quarter of the neck was unplayable because of so much fret buzz. When I called to talk about solutions the employee was completely apathetic about the entire situation and offered little to no help. Theres no reason they should be charging so much for USED gear they obviously havent even attempted to inspect or repair. Definitely dont recommend ordering from them and I wont be ever again.

They know me by name when I walk in the door because they will take the time to be personal with their customers and figure out what personality you are music wise to help with suggestions. Ive done buy/sale transactions with them and Ive always been satisfied. Ive sold a ton of gear to them and have bought gear from them and they are always willing to strike a deal. Great selection of used gear as well.

Ive shopped here for years and I always find what I need. And i support local over online, always.

Pretty much a glorified pawn shop for guitars and discarded guitar amps and a few out of production speakers (many unpowered). Definitely not much to offer in pro audio, so that part of the advertisement is extremely misleading. Oh, and no refunds-- only store credit within 7 days of purchase. Staff tries to help locate something, but you have to chase after them to get any assistance. They were useful in a last minute emergency situation when I accidentally left a compact sound system at home, but had very little of a selection to offer. Id have been better off just driving a few more minutes to Guitar Center and buying something I wouldnt consider reselling the next week just to get my money back. Unless youre in a pinch or have extra money to burn, its best to just avoid this place.

The employees at this location were very friendly and extremely helpful. We went to sell an old drum set and an electric guitar from the 80s and left with more than we bargained for. The representative who helped us even broke down what was worth how much and how to get my check deposited into my account. He even talked music with me for a little while and told me some fun facts about one of the bands I like. We had a wonderful experience.

These guys are awesome! My drummer and I are on tour from Maryland and we needed a power supply for his sample pad and they couldnt find what we needed so they even called around to other stores for us to help us out. They ended up digging around and found one for us, definitely the music store for anyone looking for great service!

Received an offer on an instrument, came back the next day with my offer (told it was good for a week) and they refused to buy it. Not only that, it was for $20. So the owner was willing to sacrifice a new customer over $20 that he still would have made a profit on... seems like a well run business to me.

I quite like this place. I have bought and sold many instruments here for a year or two now, and I will always seek them out before guitar center. Some instruments could be found cheaper on craigslist, but this place will always have one or two instruments that are more or less exactly what you are looking for (even if you dont know it before walking in). If you are like me, though, and must do research before a purchase, the ability to browse inventory online makes it possible to find the best deals and this is what keeps me coming back. Go here before buying off ebay or guitar center for used gear!

Been visiting Music Go Round for my drum needs pretty well since they opened about 12 months ago - they have a wide and varied collection of gear at prices to suit all requirements. I have traded and purchased and found them to be fair and reasonable. The guys are friendly and helpful and will do their best to make a deal work - If youre looking for gear just to get started or alternatively wanting to trade up for more high end equipment give them a try. They have loads of drums, stands, cymbals and accessories in at the moment so if youre wanting to add to your kit, or replace an old Stand, its well worth the visit. Looking costs nothing and you may be surprised (as I have been) at some of the gear in there. Parking is very convenient and location couldnt be easier to find.

I bought an electronic drum set on layaway, called after it was paid off, was told they will hold it until Im able to pick up. I found out later it was disposed of after a few months with no attempt to contact me. I tried several times to work it out with the owner/manager to no avail. I would avoid this location, Ive bought several things through the company, other stores mind you, and have had no problems. Ive been an assistant manager at a pawn shop, this is bad customer service and bad management. Paid over $400 and got absolutely nothing...total ripoff

I needed a good bass amp that would work well for both electric and upright,in both live and studio situations. I spotted the perfect amp in their inventory, priced at 1/2 of what these things go for on ebay. That night in the studio was one of the most productive for our little jazz group in several weeks. Lots of compliments on the amp, and everyone was knocked out by the price.I highly recommend this place. It was a really great surprise, and I plan to go back again and again for all my used gear needs.

Traded in old 1/2 stack guitar amp for about 1/2 the worth. This was worth it for me because I could not sell it on craigslist or e-bay. Got a bass guitar and with money left over Im saving for a used bass amp. Good Knowledgeable service, friendly staff, better prices on used gear than say a pawn shop. Ive bought everything from electric guitars, bass guitars to vintage recording equipment and midi controllers from this locally owned shop. The staff is friendly know their stuff. When it comes down to selling or trading your old gear they always made me a fair and honest offer that is as good as if not better than what the larger stores have come up with, so you will see a wide variety all kinds of gear.

I wanted to come and check out this location since I had been to other Music-Go-Rounds in Michigan. This was a great location. The stock was what impressed me the most. Beyond the quantity, it was the quality of what they were selling which impressed me.In addition to this, I did have a good couple conversations with one of the employees beyond just musical things. I didnt buy anything because I just didnt need anything at that time and I unfortunately do not live close enough to get just regular supplies from here.I see myself coming back in the future for a thing or two.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had to deal with with online purchases. I feel that they blatantly lied to me about the condition of the product. I took it to a repair shop and a gentleman there told me it would cost more that the instrument was worth to repair it. After haggling with the owner who kept stating this product left their office in working order, I was finally able to get my money back minus the 70$ spent on shipping to and from their store. I would not recommend them for their lack of honesty and low quality of products that they promote. The 1 star is for the simple fact that I was able to talk them into getting my money back.

Had my sons guitar restringed there. The gentleman who helped us, was also a guitar player and took good care of us. And I got a new guitar at a great price.

Well they did it to me again. I switched out a broken saxophone that could not be repaired to play a proper tune for a saxophone that seemed newer and in better shape. Come to find out there were so many small dents it could not play a consistent tune. DO NOT BUY USED INSTRUMENTS FROM THEM if you are not educated on instruments. There used brass and wood wind instruments are completely unacceptable.DT5 months ago I purchased a trumpet and a Alto Sax date (1975) for my 7th grade son.. Completely trusting what the sales person sold me, I assumed all was well what I purchased. Knowing the Sax was old, we understood that there may be a few repairs but the sales person said it should work great once all is done. Well after at least 15 attempts to repair and not able to hit certain notes, I went back to the store and explained weve made every attempt to get this sax to work and we cannot get it to work properly. I understand the return policy but the sax is not functional and I wanted my money back so I can buy another one from their store. They would not accept what they sold me was not functional. I gave them a letter from the head band director stating all the issues with the sax that could not be repaired and they refused to work with me. DO NOT BUY from this place if you are not familiar with music instruments.

Walked in and didnt get acknowledged until I got to the back of the store by someone that did online sales. I was the only one there. Found something they didnt have listed on their website and showed an interest. I had found something identical locally but at a much lower price. My problem was I had time constraints. So I tried to see if they had some wiggle room on the price and was then told to go and buy it from where I found it cheaper. So I did, instead I drove just down the street to guitar center and bought the amp new.They didnt seem too interested in retaining a customer.

The last two times, including today, I walk in spend about 20 min and left. The staff never even said hello or asked if I needed any help. They were both to occupied making small talk with another customer. I was looking for an amp case and new cables, but since I wasnt even acknowledged as being present I spent my $650 at guitar center. As I left I held the door open for a lady who was bringing in a keyboard, as I looked back I saw her being greeted by the worker who ignored me.

When we moved back to Iowa from the DFW area in April 2014, I brought a lot of gear to them to sell so we could liquidate what we were bringing back (space reasons). They were more than fair with the amounts for each product I was selling to them and were very helpful in doing so.I had also purchased a few things there the year that we lived in the DFW area and their prices were competitive and even offered better prices than similarly priced gear on eBay and other sales outlets.They were professional and we developed a good relationship of trust and business.
