I cannot speak highly enough of this place! Ive taken two of my guitars there for nut and wiring work and have been so pleased by the care and attention taken and their dedication toward you leaving satisfied. My Squier Jazzmasters pickup selector switch was going out. When they replaced it with an equivalent switch, I found that it too started going out. They replaced it on the spot with a premium switch (dont remember if it was CTS or Switchcraft) at no extra charge. THAT is awesome and a great example of them going above and beyond. And of course, they knew how to cut Fender and Gibson-style nuts and were happy to talk about nut height, pickups, neck relief, etc. This is a great family-owned business that doesnt treat you like a number. I have always been asked to return if I am not happy with their work. I will never take my guitars anywhere else. Highly recommended!

I started out by having them setup one of my guitars, and I was so impressed with the setup that Ive taken all of my guitars here for setup. They play better than they did brand-new.

Took Lambs several guitars for pro set ups. They have been working through them, make recommendations when needed and keep me informed. The first one felt and sounds like a brand new guitar.

I’ve taken a few of my guitars in for repair and the work is outstanding and professional. The customer service is top notch. I recently picked up a guitar and had some questions about a pedal (non-working Rat from the 80’s) I was given a transparent response and even redirected to a repair shop.Keep up the good work, cheers lads!J. This will now be my go to place for any guitar setup and repair. I needed the action lowered on my new Taylor. Nathan is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. My acoustic is playing more like an electric and i couldnt be happier with the work that was done. Super friendly, and they really know their stuff. I would definitely recommend.

I’ve been a guitar player and collector for many years. I’ve never found a better place to take every issue I have with my guitars than here. Every time I come here, which is quite often, I run into the smiling happy faces of their customers and students. Nathan is a great Luthier following in the footsteps of his Dad. This is an exceptionally great family owned and run business. You can trust them to always be professional and fair.

J. R. Robeson from Taylor suggested I use Mr. Lamb for repairs. I could not be more satisfied. An awesome experience! Brought in my beloved Martin D-18 Retro after dropping it onto a ceramic tile floor outside my office door at my church. Excellent work and the finish was matched perfectly. Also took in my Taylor GS w/ sinker redwood top for a side crack repair after I whacked it against a chair. No evidence of a crack and the match of the UV finish is great. Mr. Lamb set up both guitars. They both play and sound better than before. I was considering trading in the Taylor, but have now changed my mind!

Lamb’s Music is a first rate guitar repair facility. They did a great setup on my Martin acoustic. I’ve brought quite a few guitars in to them for setup and repair over the years and have always been treated honestly and fairly.

I brought Steve a 1974 Martin D-28 with a broken headstock. it was an ugly break with the whole tuning head being held on by the top veneer. Steve glued it back together and reset the neck while he was doing the repair. The headstock is a good as new and the guitar has never played better thanks to the neck reset. Amanda did the refinish work so skillfully its difficult to find the break with a magnifying glass. They even found a back cover for one of the Grover tuners that had been missing for years. They did the work for a reasonable price and did it on time while they were moving their shop. I live in Oklahoma City but consider it a short drive for this kind of expert work. Nice people too. Thanks to the Lambs!

I brought my bass in to have the nut replaced. It was so misaligned and off center it was unplayable. I had to take it somewhere else. They also put polish on my natural oil finish, which left a waxy residue. I had to have it cleaned. What the heck? Awful experience.

When I was given the task of making major repairs to the Toadies main guitar (Vaden Todd Lewis beloved L6S) I took it to Lambs music. The work they did on this guitar was exceptional. I really like/trust these people and their family run business. By the way, if you ever want to test the abilities of a luthier, give him a vintage style stratocaster and tell him to set up EVERYTHING on it. I recently did this with my beloved strat at Lambs and dare I say; I think the guitar may actually be perfect.

Friendly staff, but not the place to drop off your beloved instrument. I have a brand new BC Rich Mockinbird Special X, neck-thru with a gorgeous quilted maple top. I needed to get it set up as there was some string buzzing.1) when I dropped the guitar off for setup, the lady (I assume the proprietors wife) kept picking my guitar up by the head on the neck, dragging the bottom edge of the guitars body across the countertop. I cringed, and my soul screamed in anguish as kept doing it over and over again. I kept telling myself stop being a wuss, nothings going to happen to your guitar. Well, when I picked the guitar up 2 weeks later, the proprietor did the EXACT same thing while discussing the issues with my guitar (keep reading). I gave the lady a list of things that could be done, including the replacing of the nut, to get rid of the fret buzz. She took no notes, just smiled and drug my guitar back and forth across that d*mned counter. Subsequently, there are a lot of fine scratched on the back of the guitar that were not there before I took my guitar to Lambs.2) The lady told me it would be 7 to 10 days. I called at the 2 week point to see what in the world was going on with my guitar.Me: I dropped off my guitar a couple weeks ago, and was wondering what the status wasHer:What kind of guitar is it?MeA Mockingbird (they cant have many there, can they??)Her: A what?Me: A BC Rich Mockingbird, with a flamed maple topHer: A Hummingbird?Me: No, a BC Rich MockingbirdHer: Oh, I must have gotten them confused because Im looking at a Hummingbird. That little dialog told me she knew nothing of guitars. Especially since there was no Hummingbird hanging in the store. She then put me on hold for a couple minutes, then came back:Oh, its ready but Steve wants to talk to you about it when you pick it up.I had the feeling my guitar had been ready for some time, but the folks at Lambs didnt bother to give me a call to let me know it was ready, no, I had to call them.3) I got the guitar, and the fret buzz was worse. The bridge was raised to Kingdom Come, but the low e-string was buzzing worse than before. I also immediately noticed the poor fret file job. There were file marks everywhere, and the frets were rough. One fret even has a scratch that runs from the low e-string to the g-string. String bending now results in scritchy-scratchy noises that are similar to fingernails on a chalk board. The nut was not replaced.Steve went on to tell me how he thinks the problem with the guitar are the large frets. Little does he know, Ive owned nothing but a string of such guitars with no issues. He was nice, but then he layed blame by bad mouthing large frets. He went on for 5 minutes as to why he doesnt like them, how hard they are to set up, how the string goes out of tune if you push down on the string hard enough, blah blah blah.Well, thanks for that info. Now I have large, filed-to-hell frets that are unplayable. Also, Steve, its been my experience that when people point and lay blame on whatever, its usually not whatevers fault, its usually the person doing the finger pointing. You might want to avoid that in the future, I actually teach classes on that in a call center. :-)Im on my way to look for another luthier to re-dress these scratchy frets, and maybe fix the now worsened fret buzz.He was nice enough to knock the price in half. Im not sure why I even had to pay at all, considering the collateral damage received.Epic Fail, IMHO.Oh, by the way, whats up with the other two reviewers being the same person? Both ericdbourassa and Jeff have only two reviews, and just so happed to have reviewed the same two stores. I found that very odd. Well, not so much odd, as possibly fraudulent?
