Rented a truck for 1 day. It’s suppose to b 19.95 plus miles but they try to get you with all the little things. One mechanic with a big white beard a a bunch a tats said my tank wasn’t full but it was 7/8 full like my contract had said it need to be. Only person who made this experience good was Jennifer! Jennifer was helpful and not a complete a%$ when asked a simple question! Let’s be like Jen boys.

Absolutely worst Uhaul experience ever. No one answers at the Fortworth west location by ridgmar mall. John ( manager ) said to call him if I have any prroblems. I moved to Washington State and was supposed to have delivered unboxes by the 13 August 2021, they were shipped out on the 30th July. Today is the 16 I don’t have my boxes and I’m being charged for another month of rental. They don’t want to credit my payments even though they failed to deliver. Customer service says call the local uhaul on pacific way Washington. Jennifer at the local days they can’t do anything call customer service.I payed to have the boxes delivered to my new home, Jennifer says no, you can come pick them up?? They are absolutely not cutover service friendly. No one knows who’s charging you and who can credit you.Amber customer service says we will credit you $50 every day we were late delivering to our location??? But we will deliver on the 21st and not pay you for the delay since the boxes are in Washington already???? 😩.I have no words, absolutely worst service ever

My box was supposed to be delivered between 12pm & 3pm but didnt arrive to my apartment until 7pm becuase the driver went off the road in the rain -I found out about the delay when I called at 4pm. I would have appreciated a status update instead, as I already spent my entire day waiting for the truck. When I unloaded the U-Box I discovered that my 50 inch Flat-screen (which was bubble wrapped and wrapped in a furniture pad) had its screen completely destroyed.Would it have been too much for them to see that the weather report called for intense rain after 2pm; or to have someone who was able and comfortable with driving in intense rain run deliveries; have a supervisor in the truck who cares that they were 4 hours late and at least say sorry for the inconvenience.; or even a courtesy phone call?Atleast the driver and passenger are unharmed.

Terrible customer service. Had a reservation on a trailer and when I came to get it I was told I had to bring it back in two hours because they had another reservation on same trailer, that I had already paid for it, lady was all rude and didn’t care to give me an explanation.

Brought my vehicle in to have a towing package on it. The time I was told to come in was messed up by customer service. The part number they told me I could have put on by customer service the store did not have. The Uhaul store I was setup with told me I had to come back the next day to have it put on. I was told it would be an hour but not that my vehicle was to be dropped off. I told them I would wait. Then the attitude started with the employee who puts the harness on. Then a man came in and started a conversation with the people behind the desk. It was very negative about Uhaul and how much they paid their employees. The employee (Ricky), was kind and helpful. I also saw Ricky with the same care with other customers. That is why I gave them three stars and not two.

I dont know why there are so many negative reviews for this place. Must have gotten there stuff together because I was able to get a truck in 5 minutes and only took me 5 to turn it in. Friendly staff and the rates were not bad at all.

From the time I pulled up, until the time I left, the staff was rude. They should look at the people working on this day and assess their customer service skills as they were very poor.

The staff members were very rude to two individuals not wearing a mask when they entered. Its one thing to require one and its another to be rude. I got the impression that the personal politics of these two individuals was behind their emotional reactions.

After several let downs with third parties we hired to help this move for my mom easier, the movers even telling us the wrong size truck requiring us to exchange which was not as easy as just a swap of the truck!! Luckily Brian was their to seamlessly guide us into the next best solution with virtually no waiting time! Amazing service! During covid no less! Thanks Brian! We appreciate it so much!!

Paul and Cheyenne make the experience easy, theyre fun, friendly, and dedicated. I will return again in the future for sure. Got the 26ft truck/van. Moved our entire house in 1 day. Drop off is easy and stress free. Every single employee we encountered had good attitudes and were ready to work. The vehicle itself had everything we needed and more.

I needed to fill a 30 gal propane tank last night. Ive done business with U-haul for decades Im 69 years old and I even rent a storage unit from this company. Always found them to be reputable and customer oriented until last night.I drove over 30 miles to get to this facility. I saw on line they were open until 7PM. Finally got there at 6:47 PM. Took the tank out of the truck went inside told the counter what I was there for she paged and a female Manager came out from the shop. She told me they quit pumping propane at 6:45 because of the rush. I looked around there was one couple there and that was it. I asked her politely if she could make an exception since there obviously wasnt a rush and Im only two minutes late she rudely refused turned around and walked away.This is what happens when companys get too big. Ive seen it with sears, JC Penny etc. Watch out UHAUL as far as Im concerned youre next.

Terrible service, I brink back my rental truck with the same amount of fuel as it was given to me, the same amount that was marked down on the online service when I inspected it, and I was charged massively. I guess I was expected to fill their entire tank for them, because it was pretty close to empty when I got it. If I am ever forced to use Uhaul again, which I will certainly do my best to avoid, I definitely wont use this location ever again. Hopefully the other locations wont try to cheat me.

Horrible service. Ordered packing material and boxes online for pick up. After spending 15 minutes gathering the materials( and assisting other customers), I was informed they didnt have an item from my order. They would give me a partial refund but only if I waited in line again behind a dozen other customers

Absolutely awful. Failed to inform me that there was an additional charge for dropping my equipment off EARLY but after hours until AFTER I had left with the equipment. I raised the matter with they email address they provided and never heard back. That’s the second time they’ve (UHaul in general) failed to respond to a dispute—the last time they charged me for fuel even though I returned it with MORE than when I’d checked it out. I even had pictures of the fuel gauge!

Terrible service and thieves. I rented a moving truck from this location, filled out the online forms when inspecting, noting that the fuel tank had less than 1/4 of a tank of gas. I returned the truck with at least as much gas if not more than when I was given it and charged ridiculous fees because I didnt fill the tank for them. This experience has turned me off of using Uhual in the future and if it ever comes down to me being forced to use it again, it wont be from here, because this location at least is only after stealing money from their clientele.

As a owner of a company I respect mark we have always left satisfied... And a lot other employees... This would change to a five star review if Uhaul understands Brian a new guy that they have hire is one of the most disrespectful employees they have and on top the laziest employees. I hope as a return customer that has brought yall a lot of customers and ourselves. You can get rid of the bads ones that will keep them reviews at a one star from now and on. Rented a truck and got a storage unit. Truck was fine and they even offered to give me a free month of rental on a storage unit. However you have to keep reminding them that it is free and was a part of a previous agreement. They attempted to charge me $150 twice but every time i had to remind them of their pricing.. Everytime they said, yes that is correct, and immediately dropped it. It was just a clear attempt to take additional cash from already paying customers and seemed like it was store policy to overcharge people not paying attention to their final bill. Good service just guard your wallets around these people

Came here 2 hours before close for a last minute trailer rental. Got hooked up to the trailer and brakes and signals worked, but my constant night running lights didnt. Trey diagnosed everything on the truck from the fuses to the wiring and everything was good and intact, just no signal to the trailer. He ended up slicing into my taillight wire wire with my permission to get me on my way as I needed the trailer asap. His determination and customer service to make sure I get on my way was beyond what I could have expected and then some. Highly recommend this location for great equipment and customer service!

Reservation made. Server was down. No back-up plan in place even though this is one of the main FW locations. No accountability or sense of urgency from ANYONE. Four people in line and it was a three ring circus. Owner comes out and adds to chaos instead of helping to control it. AVOID.

During my last visit, Uhaul representative, Tray, worked with me and was able to go above and beyond in helping me with my moving situation. I have never had such a seamless Uhaul rental experience before. I rented a local truck to move items from one place to another and was running out of time to return the truck. A lovely woman (Chyan?) helped extend my rental by a day. She even helped me get into the storage unit that I needed for my office equipment. .I also want to thank Jonathan for listening to my needs and making sure I had easy access to my unit. Thanks you all for helping me out so much!

My husband and I used this UHaul to move apartments. Every employee we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to understand our needs and help us make an informed decision on the best product for us. There was also a problem with the hitch on our truck and they gladly fixed it for us and had us on our way in no time. We would highly recommend this location and would even go out of our way to use them again.

Called to make an appointment for a wiring harness install on Sunday and the person told me that I could come in same day for drop off service. I get to the store and the attendant says there was no one on site to do an install, they would only be there on Monday, I asked what time could come in to get it done and they said that they open at 7 and it would take 30 minutes. I came in at 7 AM and had the unpleasant experience of dealing with an extremely rude service tech who said he was too busy to help me and that I’d just have to deal with it. Think twice before you deal with these incompetent fools.

I am giving only 3 stars because UHAUL as a company does not stand behind their product. Ive been having the same problem with my hitch ever since I got it. Took it in today to see about getting it fixed, as I have the lifetime hitch warranty. However, turns out it is a wiring problem, which for whatever reason, my warranty does not cover. This was not specified at the time of purchase of the hitch warranty and the hitch. We even asked if it would cover wiring, and were told yes, only to find out 3 years later that it does not. Even with that, the warranty you can get for the wiring is only 2 years, so either way I would have been out of luck.Mark, however, went above and beyond his job to help me out. If I could give just him the 5 stars, I would. He deserves is, and I hope his manager sees this and gives him a pat on the back and a job well done! Thank you Mark, for making my experience today less frustrating, regardless of your employers wacky, misleading warranty policies!

Completely inflexible. I needed to change the drop off location of a motorcycle trailer to make my trip work out a bit better. When I originally asked about one-way the price was just over $150, round trip was just over $50 so I figured I could just load the trailer down again for the return trip. When I called to ask if I could modify the drop location for a better trip back since it turns out i cant load down the trailer for the return trip they refused and wouldnt work with me and wouldnt even discuss options. Perhaps poor planning on my part but not the type of flexibility I expected. Ive rented here three times in the past decade but never will again.

This is the only storage place Ive been to that doesnt prorate. I moved my items out of storage on the 5th and since they do not prorate Im leaving my locks on until the end of the month so that they will not be able to re rent my unit and double dip. The customer service of a few makes the entire company look bad. They really need to go through some type of training and realize if it wasnt for the customers you wouldnt have a job. I will not be using this facility again and I have posted it on the bulletin at the base for others to be aware. there are a lot more cheaper and clean climate control storage places available.

After calling and driving 40 miles to pick up a hitch then raising my car to install the hitch, I find out that is the wrong hitch. After driving another 40 miles to get the correct hitch they dont have it. This is for a 2007 model so you would think that by now they would know what hitch fits what model. I returned everything that I had purchased.

Mike, the assistant manager, is a complete liar and has zero integrity. He told me that I would be charged $16.95 total for a trailer rental when I picked it up. The contract was printed and reflected this price. I reviewed my final bill that he conveniently emailed me after returning the trailer and the total was $20.85. I call a day later and ask him why it was more and his response was Oh, we change prices all the time. After arguing with him about how unethical this was, he refused to change it back to the correct price because I had made him mad. Dont go to this location, dont work with Mike, and make sure you double check the final bill that they email you.

The manager at this place was really awesome! I recommend everyone to go and rent any rentals u need. This is like their main office around here in white settlement, so youll have a lot of choices.

Had two “adventures in moving” experiences with an auto hauler pulling a car behind my truck.1. Had a blowout with a fully loaded hauler in route out in the Texas Hill Country. Not sure why. Roadside assistance fixed the issue but took about 3hr+, first call service did not show, second call they came out but brought wrong tire size, third trip and I was on the road again. The Problem was compounded when Roadside could not find this 80’s vintage unit in their inventory to create the ticket.2. With an empty hauler on the highway through rough roads and construction one of the loading ramps unlocked and shot out the rear on the Innerstate and was greated by 18 wheelers honking and flashing lights and another car that tried to nudge me off the roadway. Bad design for ramps, a real hazard, luckily I had extra tie downs and strapped the ramps to the frame to avoid a repeat.The rental location DID compensate on rental charge allowances for the delays and extended trip time for round trip to return the unit. The equipment looked OK at pickup, but be on the lookout for hidden issues that can ruin your day like these and try to second guess ALL possibilities. Only thought is possible dry rot or brake lock drag on the one wheel contributing to blowout of that tire. The spring latch on this older unit not up to current safety standards on my opinion.Would I rent again, Yes... But now I am a wiser consumer and take nothing for granted and anticipate ANY causes for a “new” adventure in waiting. Mid rating due to equipment, delays in roadside service and housekeeping. Customer service agents followed up and took care of issues.

I have used this Uhaul location many times over about a 10 year period. I have always been pleased with their prices and the service. I read the nasty reviews yesterday and decided to use them again anyway. Once again, I couldnt have been happier. I would definitely use them again and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We were able to rent the uhaul and return it within two hours. Rates were exactly as quoted, and Michelle was helpful in getting the van returned quickly and without issue.

Set up hitch instilation when arrived for appointmnet they could not do it then. Had to reschedual wasted 60 mile drive. When arrived for next appointment took 1.5 hours longer than was supose to. Then when I got home trailer lightes did not work. and teh pig tail was hooked up too short it hanges back up under the vehicle and was not secured to hitch properly. Was watching the kid while he hooked up the light harness and he didnt appear to have any idea what he was doing taking it to another u haul to get repaired.

They did not have the truck I needed, but they checked other stores for me saving me a lot time. When they located it, they reserved the vehicle for me. They really made the process easy and took a load off my nerves.

Chiann (Apologies if I have misspelled) went above and beyond to help me out during my very difficult move. She was kind and helpful and went out of her way to make things easier for me and ease my mind when I was very stressed. It’s not very often that you encounter someone who will go great lengths to help out a stranger but Chiann is definitely one of those people. I hope Uhaul appreciates that they have such a good person of character on their team. Thanks again for everything Chiann!

Usually this Uhaul is a great place to rent from but yesterday I wasnt feeling the love. Even my son pointed out that the girl checking me out was rude. Maybe it was my comment about the earring imbedded in her chest. I was polite about it. If it was then maybe if youre not into comments cover it up. Either way, Im a paying customer and I kinda feel like you should be grafeful than Im at your business.

These guys really know how to run a uhaul. Friendly efficient and helpful. They hooked up the trailer for me and founs that Id blown a fuse. Their mechanic quickly spotted the issue and replaced it with no charge. Unlike any uhaul ive ever been to.

Couldnt get a reservation because the website was down went in to go rent a truck they said they had no available after making me wait 20 minutes and then told me I should have had a reservation Ill give this place 0 Stars if I could

When returning our UHAUL, this man walked away from us, speaking in the opposite direction as my wife and I and literally got into the UHAUL and was about to drive it away before letting us even say a word. I have rented a few trailers from them and there always seems to be an issue. The last few times I reserve a trailer and when I go to get it they either dont have one or they dont know if they have one. You would think that if you have reservations somewhere they would make sure they have want you need. And I they dont have it or something happened they would call. This place is backwards in the way they do business. Im going to stop using them because I never know if Im going to get what I need.

They charged me twice, effectively stole $171 from me and are refusing to give it back. DO NOT USE THESE THEIVES

RIP OFF! Rented a truck with less than a quarter of a tank of gas to start off with. Had to gas up during my move. Brought the truck back with more gas than I started with. They charged me a $30 gasoline service fee anyway. My advice would be to take a cell phone picture of the gasoline gauge and mileage before you drive the truck..

DO NOT USE. Horrible customer service. Micheal the manager and Nichole his assistant are very unprofessional and shouldnt even only be employed anywhere. Couldnt and wouldnt ever work for me...They argued with the fact that I needed a truck for 5 days. And refused service to me because they couldnt verify a 3rd telephone number to confirm who I was. After the fact they already had me swiped my debit card took info and had my id. They argued with me about the size of my house and most people need the truck for 6 hrs not 5 days.I EVEN CONTACTED THE COMPANY PRESIDENT, KEN BIRCH AND HE DID NOTHING.I went down on 377 s in Benbrook and used the Benbrook uhaul facility with no problem at all and did it all online and the truck was ready for me by the time I arrived at the Benbrook location which is only 5 minutes away. They also said they receive a lot of business coming from the Alta mere location due to horrible customer satisfaction.I recommend the uhaul on 377 s Benbrook... ALTAMERE IS A JOKE AND THE WORST UHAUL IN THE AREA. As I can see I am not the only one. THANKS MICHEAL AND NICOLE FOR A HORRIBLE EXPERIANCE AND A WASTE OF MY TIME FOOLING WITH YOU GUYS... Lets face it. Patronizing this location would be a bad idea. Maybe if you just need a truck rental but, based on other peoples reviews, Im guessing their more typical services are just as terrible as their trailer hitch installations. That being said: FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS YOU HOLD DEAR, DO NOT ALLOW THIS PLACE TO INSTALL A HITCH ON YOUR CAR!!Awful experience. Everything seemed well and fine initially. In fact, Ill even harbor some of the blame. I made the assumption that U-Haul was a reputable business and didnt bother reading reviews or shopping around. I assumed they would charge me a fair price, and (being in the industry) would do a solid job on the installation and carry/sell solid parts. A week after the install, our move date had arrived. We picked up our trailer but the lights didnt work. It was as if they were wired hot and were constantly on, such that turning on the blinker or hitting the brakes had no effect since the little bulbs were already burning as brightly as they could.I used the trailer anyways (I wasnt going to miss my move date because U-Haul couldnt schedule me in, so I drove extra cautious and considerate to compensate). I later took it back to have it fixed. On that day, I made another assumption: Since I had paid U-Haul almost $400 to install something relatively simple and they had done it incorrectly, they would make it right and fix it free of charge. After all, it had never worked even once and I had paid them for it. Instead, I learned another valuable lesson about making assumptions and they charged me $80 to fix it.Now lets flash forward a year to last weekend when I rented my second trailer. The lights were still wired hot and had the exact same problem they did from the start. But this time, Im wiser. Ive grown from my experience and I dont make (as many) assumptions anymore. So I figured rather than taking it into the same place that screwed me over twice and on at least one occasion stole my money (accepted my money to perform a repair service which was not rendered), I took it to a place that the trailer rental facility highly recommended. I should note that this rental facility (who deals in U-Haul trailers) indicated that they see bad installations coming out of this Alta Mere U-Haul location very frequently. They ASLO indicated that this Alta Mere location is the regional training facility for trailer hitch installs....a disconcerting notion in itself.The trailer hitch installation shop I went to was fantastic and a complete polar opposite of U-Haul. In less than five minutes, they had diagnosed the problem (a bad, most likely cheap control box on the wiring harness) and fixed it for me on the fly in less than 45 minutes total time (diagnosis included). And heres the kicker: they charged me $20 LESS than what U-Haul charged me to repair their bad installation AND this new shops part comes with a lifetime warranty. For the record, this new shop I went to is Discount Hitches on the intersection of Pioneer and Bowen in Arlington. I highly recommend Discount Hitches. Conversely, the only thing I can highly recommend about the Alta Mere U-Haul is to sprint rapidly away, screaming and flailing your arms in the air.And a final thought: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I am very disappointed in this dealership, first off they wouldnt give me a truck because I didnt have a local address and Im an out of state truck driver moving household goods, second they are extremely rude in every aspect, I rented the truck for the DAY, an all day rental and they expected the truck back by 2:00, for one, I have to do a shuttle move with this truck and it could take time but I managed to get it back in time, thirdly when I got the truck they told me I can only get the smallest truck they had when they got 30 trucks on the lot and I was only allowed the one no exceptions, and last but not least, the shop guy had the nerve to come out yelling at me saying a stole his pen, a pos uhaul pen he had for 4 years, for one, those pens dont last that long and for another why do I want his pos pen when I have my own $10 custom made pen in my pocket, I told the guy I didnt have the pen but he wasnt done arguing with me about and walked off ramping and raving that I took it, this is unacceptable and I dont much appreciate being called a lier and a thief when I work cross country and havent been home for 3 months. Bottom line is, these people are extremely rude and obnoxious and I recommend going to a different dealership for your needs

Worst uhaul experience Ive ever had. I returned the trailer 4 hours early and the store decided not to check their return lot and tried to charge me for their mistake. I will never use them again, and, as a professional traveling musician, Ill make sure none of my colleagues do either. Garbage.

Also any material we had in their now has little holes eaten in all over it....we might as well have thrown out all of our stuff before we tried storing it because now we have wasted two months of money on items I now need to throw out!
