Ive been to many pawn shops and coin stores. This store Fort Worth Coin Company is for sure the best. I even like it better than Dallas Gold and Silver Exchange. Good prices and friendly staff.
Sold some graded coins here, they were very friendly and knowledgeable and offered a fair price on my coins. Recommended.
What an amazing store! I had the best experience today with Holly and her team. I came in with my grandfathers coin collection that I inherited and I truly had no idea about these coins and thier different values. I needed help getting an appraisal for insurance. Holly was very informative about all the different pieces I had. She took her time going through them all and answed all of my questions. Once she documented them all, I was given a formal appraisal. I was shocked at how precious these pieces really are!Holly, thank you so much for being patient with this newbie! Your warmness and passion for your work shines through. You have made a customer for life! Kudos and God bless!
I brought some gold coins and silver from this company to make some custom jewelry.........when I got to the other jewelry I was told that I bought over price fake ( gold plated) coins........I am writing this review to let the public know not to trust them!!!!!!
I had the fortunate experience of being able to work with Hollie at Fort Worth Coin Company. I know that getting what is needed varies from person to person, but I did my homework and found through a number of business and personal contacts that Fort Worth Coin Company has an impeccable reputation for honesty. Oh sure, would I have liked to make more for the items that I sold, yes !! Who wouldnt, but I am convince that Fort Worth Coin gave me a fair price. They are, remember, in business to make a profit. I give them that and still walked away satisfied with what they offered and believe I was treated with the upmost respect and fairly.
Amazing customer service from really amazing people
Bad company delete my post now
Jeff and Holly are always very helpful and polite! I learn more about my couns and precious metals every time I walk in! Their prices are always the best and most fair around. My attacking skills have grown exponentially thanks to their awesome staff and I will always make it a point to stop in and pick up a few pieces when I can! Thank you for all that you do for the collectors and stickers in our community, our hobby, and our livelihood!!
Don’t sell your coins here. They will give you half down to 1/5 the value of your coins. I tested them a few times with multiple trips of what I knew were lower value items ($20-$500) and consistently received low ball offers (which I accepted due to time constraints in liquidation). They will rebuttal with “it depends on the demand in our storefront,” “there’s a lot of misinformation on the internet,” or “we buy at wholesale prices.” Wholesale per their interpretation amounts close to theft. If you need the money and want a fair offer for your coins, don’t go here. They’re in it for themselves, do not trust the front game they play. Coming from a fair and honest person: avoid for selling your coins... period.Refer to Bradley Smith’s review below as further validation to my claims hereof.Example:1 coin they offered $20 for sold on eBay for over $280. They’re not trustworthy nor would I trust their valuation abilities.“We buy at wholesale prices” to them equates to giving you anywhere from 1/2 down to 1/5 the value of your coins don’t fall pray to their gambits.Example 2: I was given a little over $550 for a spot value of silver at $738 at that time (90% silver quarters). They essentially pocketed $230ish and chalked it up to “refining costs.”
Hey guys, I got this 1989 it 1980 D quarter few days ago its smaller like a nickel size it looks like it has a bezel around it but it is stamped smaller I just posted 2 pix . WhAt do you think it is an error or somebody did that to it ?
These people have your best interest, good doing business with them!
Offered melt value less $40, not numismatic value and not even halfway to that, and didnt offer to consign sell coins, so continue looking around. Super nice folks, love the place, would buy a gift here, but consistently low ball offers on items in my experience.
Nicest, most organized coin shop that we have visited! Nice people
Coin appraisals, buy sell and lots of inventory!
Went in to have them give me an idea of value on error printed currency (coin & paper). They were rude & condescending. The manager walked away 3 times while I was talking to him. They said unless I had something EXTREMELY RARE or nefore 1800s & older, it wasnt worth anything.
After our Dad passed away, we were looking for a place to sell his collection and were recommended to use Fort Worth Coin Co. They were right! We were treated with respect and every question we had was fully answered. We were paid fairly and the people are so professional. I would recommend it to anyone!
Absolutely wonderful service & knowledgeable staff. I am a novice to the coin collection industry/hobby and came looking for gifts for my 3 & 5 year old coin collecting nephews. They treated me awesome and steered me in the right direction! 5 star service!
This place is an amazing numismatic shop!I really enjoyed learning some history from each of the coins in which I showed an interest.I recommend that you go here any chance you get!
Cool place with cool people. Today was my first time buying anything from them, it was very positive. I should have come a long time ago considering theyve been in business for a while but now that I have checked it out, I will be back.
I love going through junk silver coins. But when I walked in they seem very suspicious about new customers. The woman immediately asked what are you looking for and how much are you looking to spend. Very pushy people that seem to only prefer high dollar investors. Not to mention that parking was hard to find and price was also high.
By far the best coin shop I have ever been too . super nice and friendly. I wish they were in my home town . I will be back .if your into coins, bills, US and others thats the shop to see .
I inherited my fathers coin collection and knew nothing about coins and went to Fort Worth Coin Company to sell them. I knew right away what he offered me was very low because I had done some research before going. He spent about 45 minutes going through 76 coins and offered me 53% less ($300) than the second dealer offered me. Jeff is dishonest about pricing when you are unfamiliar with what you have it would seem. I recommend going to another dealer even if you have to drive a bit to get there. It will be worth it!
I absolutely love this place! They have a great selection of coins jewelry, ect... I have only been there about 2 or 3 times but the staff is always nice to us, I highly recommend! The only thing I wish were better is the the parking but once you go there once or twice you get used to the confusing parking area. But its not really a big deal unless you cant walk.
FANTASTIC COIN STORE...I took coins here to sell. I had my price in mind. The lady hit it almost dead on...I will return...
Fort Worth Coin Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. My fiance and I had a very positive experience shopping for inflation currency there. Will visit again!
Giving 5 stars in hopes of my question being answered-Do yall grade currency?
Very informative. Super friendly and patient. I had ALOT of questions and they didnt make me feel rushed. Highly recommend!!!
Great customer service, fair, and willing to work with you. Will be a life customer.
Very straightforward on which years and coins have value. I would go there again
Becareful this coin shop is a rip off never sell here you will get under spot for your gold and silver. They offered me 120 on a 1/10 eagle when spot was 1550... warning to my fellow stackers. Stack on Brothers
5 star, the associates were very pleasant and extremely attentive, I was very satisfied with the handling of my business. Well worth the time & will recommend their business to all my friends
I love this place its kid friendly and I like that plus that help you so much
Most enjoyable experience!! Dont know how I could be more pleased.
I dont know what kind of coin store this is but today I went in and the tried to offer me $8 for a 1909s VDB penny like what
Ive been doing business with these folks for ten yrs now. And they have always been real nice and take time out to educate anyone on how to gradevcoins to how they test for gold to what to look for if uour not sure if something is real. These guys are the best . And they are trust worthy. Just because they see you dont know what your doin dont mean they will take advantage of you like other guys will. Thanks
Thanks to the staff at fortworth coin!I have been trying to learn more about investing in precious metals and the staff at Fortworth coin have been so helpful and patient with me.thanks yall and keep up the good work.
We were newbies. They were informative and helped us with all our questions. We return often.
Offers half of what melt value.this guy is a croke dont come to him
Great people to deal with, and fair all the way.
EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE coin dealer. For instance, offers 3 TIMES less below spot for gold than most local coin shops. Same thing with their silver sales... About $2/ea more on American Eagles than other dealers.
Great store and very knowledgeable staff!
Is this the coin store that used to be on 7th avenue?
