Im giving a one star to this location for the following reasons, I went to this store because its near a home I purchased and remodeling and has been broken into several times. On Illinois Ave. So I went to this store around April 28 I went to purchase a fire arm I and was accompanied by my husband so a young lady attended me and she was nice, she told me my id was expired and I hadnt noticed since my birthday was on the 25th so she told me I could go get one at DVM I went came back. Did the back ground check and was about to purchase when an older woman said she couldnt sell it she told her to call her manager which was understanding .Because when it was a temporary ID had all my information and said it was valid for 60 days so I told her I would be back to purchase with her since she was so professional. But when I went the second time she was busy the older woman form the last visit asked me could she help me, I said no thanks Im waiting for her, so she let her know I was waiting on so go asked her how much the the fire arm with tax, since I had maxed out my cc purchasing materials for my home.I told her I would be back I was going to take money out the bank I usually never carry much cash on me. I go to the bank come back and every single employee was out side so I go in the store and the manager aporaches me from coming from outside (6/21/21) says, how can I help you I I say im waiting for the young lady who had attended me earlier. And then she proceeds to tell me she couldnt sell me the firearm because it was a strong purchase so I was in shock told her a strong purchase then she changes her story and tells me that when l went in their and said I had said we mind you I was with my husband of 13 years so she assumed that I was buying this firearm for my husband which isnt my first firearm, it was actually a gift for me for my birthday which obviously had already past but what was really upsetting is these employees assume which is not professional and Im more than certain the older woman was bothered because I did not let her help me out since the first time she had even asked me if I wanted to put the firearm on layway I said no because Ive never have liked putting anything in payments. when I can buy it then and thier. I really believe she had something to do with the manager not allowing the purchase but its ok understandable.I actually purchased else were like the manager suggested which didnt need for her to tell me. Its been a while ago, but I had purchased from this location a invicta watch for my husband this was probably 3 years ago so Im not new this store. Also please if the manger the older woman your employee its highly unprofessional to talk about customers when their walking out and another customer standing right there listening to everything she saying since shes had high pitched voice she could have waited when their were no customers she tried to low ball a black woman on some very expensive boots since she didnt sell them to her she went on to say shes the one that needs the money Im not giving her more for them just unprofessional.

The last time I was in the area I had no food nor fare money to get home to my camp site all I had that day was a small heater so when explain my situation the cashier who did my pawn not only she gave me the amount I need to get home which was 5 dollars and she gave me her lunch with 2 bottle of water

I actually do like this Cash America location. However this review is specifically geared towards Flor. An employee that works there. Shes very personable and and patient. Shes straight forward but not pushy. Ive gotten excellent service from her on more than one occasion. Shes a delight to deal with and because of her Ill be coming back to do business in the future. Also.. If management sees this review. Give Flor a raise!

Theyre not considerate at all, rude one day they walk back and front looking at people while waiting outside for them to open 30 minutes late I work and was trying to run in while the store wasnt busy not everyone is a junky coming in

I usually hate Cash America locations but this one left me pleasantly surprised. Their selection is better than most and they actually acknowledged my presence. Their prices are fair on most things I looked at. Hector was incredibly helpful and polite (give the man a raise). My only complaint is I wish they had longer layaway periods. Thats either a state law or maybe a company decision. If its a company decision then Corporate, listen up! Extend those layaway periods a bit longer. I could buy so much more cool stuff. All and all Im glad I stopped in.

Great pawn shop one of my preferred pawns to stop by in, D the manager is great and always helps me out also pawnbrokers Flor and Maria are always nice and very helpfully these three pawnbrokers are the reason I keep coming back to this store inventory is great I’ve found some great items in here to add to my collection I am definitely a loyal customer
