Awesome donuts, I always get the apple fritter with pecans, it is fantastic! They also serve some good craft beers!
Cool little place with unique offerings. We kept it simple with the donut holes(chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon) and a everything bagel dog. Both good. The bagel dough on the dog was a little dry/chewy. Counter Service was fast and friendly. Also grabbed a can of rose to sip as we walked around the square.
Pumpkin Cheesecake donut was amazing. Maple -Bacon was also very good as always. Keep doing gods work!😉
Opening day visit. Staff is super friendly. My friend tried the Texan donut with brisket on it. She said it was delicious. I had the berry bramble tart, it was good as well, had the right amount of sweetness. I like the shop concept, you can also grab a beer here if you really want one. I’m concerned the seating area is small and may get really crowded. Wishing success to Funky Town Donuts.
My family and I were in Fort Worth visiting from South Texas, and can I just say, they have an awesome product! The flavors they offer are so creative and bursting with real essence of the flavors. Im a Fort Worth native myself, so the name is awesome and I cant wait to visit again. I met the owner, Brandon, and very rarely do you have owners who will come out to you and make sure your experience is enjoyable. And the young lady who helped us that night was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Well definitely be back! Keep up the great work guys!
I am blown away by these fresh made donuts. I have seen their donuts often on a local mom’s Instagram stories, she posts pictures of them often. All I can say is I regret not trying them sooner. We are now addicted!! The girls there are so cheerful and so happy to answer questions never in a hurry to just get you out the door. Family owned and operated.
Mixed feelings. Donuts change every Sunday which is nice since you get fresh options on a weekly basis. But the taste is something different. If you are looking for a classic doughnut, this is not the place . I would recommend hypnotic donuts. But if you are willing to be a bit more adventurous, I would try these.
Drove 40 minutes specifically for their vegan donuts. Parking was extremely difficult. Then when I arrived they only had 3 donuts available. Matcha, chocolate & chocolate with sprinkles. They had run out of the vanilla. I decided to get the chocolate. They just werent good. The texture was off with it being baked and not fried. I also ordered the Vanilla rose latte. Now that wasnt bad. They have tons of creative donuts. A suggestion would be to expand their vegan selection especially since they only have it available on specific days.
Thought I could get vegan donuts at this location but couldnt but I did get some delicious vegan Vanilla-Rose Latte.Cant remember the ladies name at the counter that made it but she was super friendly . Also purchased some funky new beer in cans to go, 3 different flavors, they were different then I expected but actually good.😊
Such unique donuts! I absolutely love going to the 4th street location. The donuts have a distinct taste that I can’t get anywhere else!!They also make a delicious espresso horchata!
Delicious donuts and friendly staff reasonable prices
My family love this place. great food. Vibe music inside and cute set up outside.
If your a legal business in texas put up a legal Texas sign that states the 30:06 law or 30:07 law. Not a sign stating your business preferences. Handgun licensed citizens in the state of texas have preferences.
Great donuts made fresh every 2 hours. Flavors change so its never the same pmave twice. Enjoy donut with wine, mimosas, beer, hot cocoa, etc. The staff has great personality. They are helpful with recommendations and explaining how everything works. Limited seating, bar seats looking out and a few low table and chairs.
Super friendly staff, AMAZING donuts, and I loved the chai tea. I got the lemon blueberry donut and loved it. Very fresh and not at all that greasy donut vibe.
Good donuts and when you can also have a brew, then what could be wrong?
I tasted quite a few doughnuts here. the bread to icing ratio for the strawberry with sprinkles was way skewed toward bread, and the bread was mediocre. Same story with the vanilla doughnut holes. The cinnamon roll was too hard. The orange cake with dark chocolate icing was actually pretty good though.I also had a bite of the tropical, and the papaya icing was good. The honey lavender icing was exactly as described. Again, both had mediocre doughnut base though. This place is close to being good but the details arent right.
Zero stars because this place must closed for good. Circled the block 3 times. Never found it or any indication that its at that location any longer.. if dummies at Google had a section explaining why they deserve zero stars. I have do a elaborate explanation about it!!!!!
The donuts were great. The worker that helped us ... not so much. A little on the rude side. We asked how a certain donut was. Her response, well if you like lemon and raspberries you will like it. What???I need a little detail please! Like.. oh, it has a tart taste, or its sweet, or the its more raspberry flavor with a hint of lemon. I mean, help me out a little please.
The Donuts didnt taste like anything and for the price is not worth it, no going there again. The employee was nice tho.
BEST donuts Ive ever had!! & at a GREAT price.
Website says open Thursdays. Apparently not. Store closed and locked at 12:30. Drove in especially to try. Better call first and see if they feel like being open.
Nice, very nice.
YUM!! Ive been watching what I eat lately and these were worth the sacrifice on calories. We walked to FunkyTown from a hotel a few blocks away. A short wait for a busy Saturday morning and well worth it. Enjoyed the Apple Pie Bullseye and their new Tirramissu.
Place was clean and in a good location with the service being quick. I have to develop a taste for there donuts though.
Loved the bacon donut but everything is super expensive
Disappointed. I went in with big hopes, just didnt hit the spot. I tried banana cream, and regular glaze, and there jalapeno pigs in a blanket, and just not my cup of tea. I also think it was way over priced. I dont see myself coming back.
Sadly even tho hours says its open on Thursday, they were locking the doors as we walked up around noon. Got our donut fix at Hurst donuts which wasnt far away.
Friendly, open late. Appreciate the vegan donuts. Good coffee.
Worst customer service! I dont know if employee was still trying to wake up or just hates her job. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone.
My donut had a spongy texture. I wasnt expecting that.
Go here the prices are really reasonable
Greeted with fantastic service the moment we walked in the door. Great little shop. Loved our donut choices and coffee. Looks like great craft beer on tap for later in the day too!
Simply put, the best donuts ever. Great customer service and great donuts
Friendly, fast, and yummy! They have a good location, just a block away from the North Parking garage, right across from the concert hall. We stopped here for a dessert after a meal downtown. Ihad the Tiramasu donut and the apple fritter. Both were wonderful!Plus... with a name like Funky Town, they were an obvious choice for a fun stop, and they lived up to the hopes.
Everyone was friendly, very clean environment, the donuts are incredible and masterfully glazed, definitely give this place a try!
Small specialty donut (beer/wine) shop on the corner. Friendly cashier and everything looked scrumptious!Pictured: apple fritter, oreo, raspberry/white chocolate, and strawberry shortcake donuts!!!!
Great donuts and bagel dogs for a fair price. They also have a donut of the month that helps out a charity when you purchase it. The staff is very friendly and they always greet me when I come in.
All the drinks here are great (Im partial to the flavored lattes) and I love how unique and delicious the donuts are. Definitely some yummy classics (apple fritter ftw) and awesome fun out of the box donuts!
If you are looking for unique twist on your everyday donuts, funky town is the place to go :)
I’m not normally one to get on the “bunch of junk on my donut” bandwagon. I’m a purist. So I was hesitant when I walked in and saw the selection. BUT, the donuts themselves are absolutely fantastic. Soft, slightest bit of deep-fried crisp, great flavor!Would have enjoyed one absolutely plain.Espressos are solid, too.
The best gourmet donut in Fort Worth, Texas or Texas period. Not to mention Beer & Wine To-go! The lattes are amazing! Friendliest staff Ive ever encountered. The owners are friendly and always working super hard at their shops! The best local business to support, especially since they support other local Fort Worth businesses.
The gluten free donuts had a rubbery texture. Very disappointed.
It’s SO hot in there - I wish they’d crank the AC a little, at least when it’s crowded so I’m not sweating in line. Otherwise, pretty tasty and interesting donuts and nice staff. I’d try them again! :-)
Great coffee and service 😁
A fun and different option for donuts! One location has gluten free on certain days. Youd have to call for more info.
Today tried the Creme Brielle and Mexican Hot Chocolate donut. The CB had a hint of “burnt” and the MHC needed a bit more cinnamon and chocolate. All in all, donuts were good.
Really like the doughnuts and the espresso and the staff is friendly the place is cozy with this coming holidays is perfect. Also you can make orders for a wedding or a special occasion they have flyers inside the store for more details.Im coming back for sure and try the different flavors they have keep the good work!
Friendly service and great donuts!
Very disappointed in there gluten free options after being advertised has having many different options.
Everything weve had has been great. Employees are really nice.
Not sure what to think about the concept. The place isnt open yet but I think theyll do good. I have met the owner and some of the trainees who will be working there. Serving fancy Donuts coffee like what you would expect from a coffee shop. And draft beers. Should open for business soon.
The donuts are okay. They have a lot of fun little mixes but the dough is very bland. The only taste you get is in the icing and other toppings.
Oh my! The friendliest people, the BEST donuts! Try the Tiramisu!! Absolutely wonderful!
Cool looking spot and very friendly staff. I got the chocolate glazed donut and it was super oily and somewhat stale tasting. I couldnt even finish it. Honestly, Ive had donuts at gas stations that have tasted better than this. Very disappointing.
These are by far the best donuts I’ve ever had. They are slightly crispy and very fluffy on the inside.
Tried loved it want more. They where able to make a special two with no walnuts happened to catch them at the right time.
Pretty good! Donuts were great, the dough part tastes really fresh and homemade. The jalapeño sausage is amazing too!
Amazing? Who knew beer would mix so well with beer? The donuts were awesome and the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend if you are in the Fort Worth area.
Wahh. Definitely wont come back. We are still in the parking lot and I already felt the need to write a review. We got 6 donuts and werent impressed with any of the flavors. Not to mention the crew is just as blan, I gave it a two star for the lady helping us.
Awsome doughnuts, people and place.
Everytime Im happy
I mean its beer and donuts to go, only two ways to my heart and thats sweets and booze. Great people there the owners are often in the store working harder than anyone else just so everything is perfect, if you havent tried them yet let me just say it is an experience and one I would recommend for any out of Towner dont come to downtown FTW and not get a donut.
What a wonderful place. Such unique creations and wonderful employees.
Its really good, I couldnt even finish my donut!
The donuts are AMAZING! One of my favorite donut shops in DFW! They are beyond fresh and have unique flavors, that you can only find at their shop! They also have beer and wine to have with your donuts, and you can walk around Sundance square enjoying your drinks after you finish your donut! Totally worth a trip!
MMMMM..... Beer and donuts????? I was skeptical at first and now I know how they put F in Funky Town Donuts. They have a good variety of donuts to choose from and a great selection of drinks as well. Super friendly staff and a nice kept diner. If you go to Sundance Square this is a must visit kind of place!
I really liked the bacon dounut they have. Never really thought to do the two before. Good icing, not too sweet.
Great house made donuts! Loved the key lime pie donut!
I think quality of dough decides the taste of donut. The donuts here are the best I have tasted so far
This place is just ok. Its over hyped and the donuts are just too much money for what youre getting. I would go to Shipleys any day before going back here. Parking is horrible. Not saying I dont like it but youre paying for them to barely jazz up the donut.
Customer service was terrible. The girl with piercings seem like she hated her job and life in general. We were not impressed with their donuts. We actually left to go try hurts donuts and they were so good. They have a larger variety and friendly staff.
Red Velvet cake donut tasted 3 days old, it was desert dry and the cream cheese topping was tasteless. Please ensure your not serving old donuts to new customers.
The apple fritter, Samoa donut, and Panther Island Stout was were all delicious! Great location and service was awesome!
