This place is my favorite coffee spot in Fort Worth!! I say this for a few reasons. First and foremost, the coffee is top tear. Freshly roasted in DFW, a variety of different roasts and mixes, and a delicious cup every time. Second, the staff is always on top of it! Ive never had to wait for more than a few minutes. Theyre kind, joyful, knowledgeable, and extremely proficient with their coffee. From their espresso to their drip coffee, everything is balanced, complex, and wonderful. Third, they have an AMAZING interior spot to read, study, chat, do a jigsaw puzzle, or anything else. Super spacious, with a ton of seating inside and outside.
What a great space in Fort Worth to Work From Home. It’s quiet enough to accomplish your tasks and connect clients via the phone. Also, just enough people talking to make you feel free from the quarantine blues. They have tables and seating areas space out for social distancing. Hand sanitizer placed throughout the building and the restrooms are clean.
So happy to have found such an amazing coffee shop that hits the mark every time. They have the most delicious iced vanilla latte with oat milk that I’ve found here in Denton. They also have gluten free goodies like blueberry lemon and a pumpkin spice coffee cakes. The decor is crisp, bright, and clean. I’ve been there about 8 or so times and the employee are always friendly and helpful. Thank you to Emily for helping me find my perfect drink!
Im surprised their oat milk latte was really good and not too hot. Theres only one lady worked there and it was crowded on Sunday afternoon. Free 30 minutes parking garage located at the backdoor.
I’ve been here a handful of times of the past two years. The most recent experience was last week, and it was very disappointing. I ordered an iced mocha, as did the other two people in my group. We al agreed the drink tasted like chocolate milk. When I asked the barista about it, she said “that’s the way it’s supposed to taste”, (like chocolate milk) because they used cold espresso. She was pretty condescending about it, and offered no apology or “let me fix this” attitude. Won’t be back. Waste of money.
I want to be clear that I am giving Maddie these 5 stars. She was the lone barista on a Sunday rush and handled it like a champ. She prioritized and managed her time and customers well, along with making great coffee with a good attitude. That is so hard to do with no help and no end to to the long line that keeps coming.I am giving the owner/management 1 star because there is no reason this 5 star employee should be put in that position. This is why businesses have high turnover.
Sons of Liberty is the first coffee shop Ive tried in Ft. Worth but it compares nicely with the higher-end coffee establishments in Dallas. Id need to try more of their offerings before I could say where it falls in the pecking order but this first visit made me want to return!I had the Liberty Latte, their signature drink, and it was delicious. Perfect hint of sweetness from their house-made simple syrup and it was evident that quality beans had been used for the espresso. Also had a breakfast taco which was quite good. Very soft tortilla (my favorite) and fantastic bacon.Additionally, they have very large amount of space, perfect for meetings, work, or studying. I saw at least one small group of people having what looked like a business meeting. Great natural lighting and modern decor.
Ordered a iced Matcha and got a cup o milk. Asked for a hot vanilla latte in replacement and was satisfied!Atmosphere is great and modern.Customer service was just fine.
I study here occasionally because the noise level keeps me surprisingly focused. chill environment and really nice interior. employees have always been nice and so happy they have oat milk!
Visited on a Sunday morning (happened to be the same day as the Cowtown Marathon) and there was a decent crowd and line to order. Very spacious location with plenty of room for seating. Service was friendly with good selection of coffee items and breakfast items on the menu. Surprisingly there was no hot chocolate option. Service was a bit slow but that could be due to the day and crowd. Enjoyable visit.
Good coffee and quiet neat atmosphere. They have bagels and your usual coffee in any fashion you prefer it. Outdoor seating when its not to hot and a beautiful view of West lancaster. Ill have more coffee here in the future.
This place has many coffee options pastries as well as some hot sandwiches. I tried the mocha and it was what you would want from a mocha drink. The room is large and very well lit. Its a great place to study or meet for small meetings. It was very Lively full of college students studying and professors grading blue books. In other words is popular with the college crowd. There is free parking behind the building on the first and second levels.
Modern, cold, grey design with a snooty atmosphere and the worlds most mediocre breakfast sandwich. Great place to get coffee and pumpkin cake though and sit at the Water Gardens.
Massive coffee shop in Downtown Fort Worth. Industrial and co-working space vibes. Definitely a spot for young professionals and college students. Ive tried their mocha, flat white, and cortado (separate visits) and enjoyed them all. The mocha was probably my favorite as I didnt need to add any sweetener to it. Ive even bought their coffee beans to enjoy at home.Theres limited street parking along W. Lancaster and 30 min parking in the Parker House garage.
I came here to meet up with a couple of people who chose the meet up place. I dont know anything about coffee and decided to try a couple of things. The Cortado is not very big in serving size which wasnt surprising since its an espresso drink. Its served hot and very bitter so if thats your thing go for it. If youre not a fan of bitterness then you should get the liberty latte. I got it iced and its a sweet milky drink for those who just like the slight flavor of coffee. The music is chill but the vibe seems very industrial like. I guess its supposed to be more modern and minimalist but the grey seems gloomy with the music. Only reason for 4 stars but definitely a solid place for studying. The worker wasnt rude and was quick but didnt offer much help for drink selection. I guess thats not his job though so Im trying to help others who might need help with a drink selection.
Today was my first visit here, and I’ll definitely be back. The latte was delicious, the staff was nice, and the prices were good. I wish I could have stayed longer.
Its a pretty nice place, nice positive motivational environment. The cappuccino was good and cute. Staff is nice, the only thing is I was there with a group of friends and some of them had ordered a specific sandwich. I assume the staff got the count wrong in how many were ordered, so I said Id take it if they were going to toss it, and the response to me taking the sandwich made me offer to buy the extra sandwich but I felt an uncomfortable vibe from the guy at the register after that 😅
Its rather a quaint place its bigger than I thought it was but its definitely a return visit.
I was actually pretty disappointed. The main reason a friend and I chose this place amongst the numerous cafes in the area was for the comfy couches shown in the photos. We arrived and found them pushed together, I assume for social distancing. Funny how the place echoed of conformity, the complete opposite of what the Sons of Liberty stood for. Heck, they even shortened their name to Sons. So disappointing. The coffee was decent. The bakery items looked old and stale so I didnt even bother ordering anything even though I had intended to. Im sure its a great place for the masked yips but if youre looking for liberty, this isnt the place.
Great atmosphere, very spacious, and not too crowded on the weekends! If I lived in the area I would definitely be a regular.
What blew me away at first was the space. Its amazing!! On top of having great coffee and food, there is plenty of seating and space. Im sure we all know of the coffee shops that force you to be shoulder to shoulder to the person next to you, or the shops where you have to secure a seat fast! Sons of Liberty has plenty of breathing room and available seating. I really loved that about this place. Management and the staff are also very welcoming and accommodating. You wont be disappointed. A must stop shop if youre ever in Fort Worth and craving a great cup of coffee!
Our barista was super friendly and helpful. My wife and I both got a cold oatchata with a double shot of espresso. Yowza! Great boost and cool down after wandering the water gardens on a humid June day.
Industrial feel, open, great for meetings, good coffee and tasty small breakfast tacos
Chai Latte was pretty decent. Very modern feel, comfortable.
A really cool and modern coffee shop with social distancing seats that still allows for discussions and peace. The store has a decent amount of customers and yet it wasnt loud or distracting. The bar tender was cool and he was really quick to make our Americano! Fresh, hot, and great!!
Coffee was good. However, Chai latte is made from an store bought pre-mix and not an in-house brewed chai. I ordered a nitro brew, and it was just a cold brew. There was no foam or depth that makes a nitro brew distinct.
Great design if you like modern. Awesome tasting coffee.
The fruit blueberry drink wasnt very tasty. But the panini was delicious and the set up was nice.
I have not been able to patronize as of yet, but Im working on it though. Very good atmosphere and a respect of people.
Great coffee and espresso with a refreshing focus on tea that is sometimes lacking at other places. Staff is friendly and the prices are typical for specialty coffee.Only gripe would be the vibe of the building itself. The interior is not exactly cozy and more oriented toward business or working. I would loved to see more color and flair even with the clean modernist aesthetic.
Coffee wasnt good at all, but the space was awesome! Its a good space if your looking to study!
My tea was pretty good, but this places looks and feels like a prison 💀 it was dreary and drabby, definitely not comforting at all, view in front of cafe is nice though and staff is nice
I give Sons 5 stars more on sentimental reasons than for the product. A tasty drink program offers some more novel things like kombucha on tap and draft chocolate milk. Or at least they used to. That may have changed?Staff are great but never really felt like I connected with them, which is fine, but I get that at other places I frequent.Their aesthetic is my aesthetic and I really appreciate that. Spent HOURS here jumpstarting a very important project and I tie that emotion in with my experience here. Check it out!
Farmers Toast, epic Hippy bread!! Try it by itself once.. carb uptake changer
LOVED this cafe!! I knew it would be good when there was a long line coming out the door (which moved quickly Im glad to say!). Food was great and the customer service was fabulous!
Great meeting place. Chi tea latte was delicious.
Best coffee and they have the most outlets and seats ;) you’re welcome
Its nice place and more comfy than starbuck I think.I love the atmosphere here feel well educated.
This is THE place for coffee in downtown Fort Worth! Located in a super cool open space with lots of room to hangout, I wandered in before a trade show I was working at the convention center. I had a pour over coffee with beans by Onyx Coffee Lab. I had the Ethiopia Banko Gotiti, which was insanely delicious and full of flavor. All-in-all my favorite coffee shop in the FTW area.
I love eating at Sons Coffee!! Great customer service, inviting atmosphere, and wonderful food. Never get tired of it.
Sons of Liberty, because we like our tea in the harbor. They do have to tea though which is also pretty good
One of my favorite spots in Fort Worth! The spirit behind the concept, service and their products are all exceptional. *Adding to this review after another great visit today. Best place to meet, coffee & network in Fort worth
Sons is one of my favorite coffee spots in Fort Worth. The space is beautiful and the floor plan is very open, it’s a great place to get some work done, do a meeting and have some great coffee!
Edit: I did reach out to the owner but never got a response.Service was awful. Came with a few friends and nothing went to plan. Ordered an expensive drink and when they weren’t able to deliver gave me a drink half the price and wanted to call it even. Friends drink was made wrong and it became how they ordered wrong. The coffee itself was ok but the man behind the bar wasn’t customer oriented in the slightest. Unfortunately won’t be returning.
Super chill atmosphere with good acoustics considering the open warehouse style concept. Their coffee and teas are delicious, they have some staple food options if youre hungry. AND they make their own version of energy drinks that taste exactly like Red Bull but they are healthier for you! Ask for a sample!
Great coffee place and a very unique oneWandered in one morning as I’d parked next to this joint. Loved the vibe inside. Coffee choices were not extensive, but am sure all their coffees rock, as did mine. Large enough space to where one can sit and get work done. Saw several students and professionals in there. I’ll be back - friends don’t let friends drink Starbucks!
Really nice place. In a time which political correctness is taking aim at patriotism, I, even more than usual, love seeing reminders of the beauty of American pride and grit. So naturally, the name of the shop caught my attention. Good coffee and nice vibe inside. The place has a polished, well-managed feel to it. Drip coffee was more expensive than I liked but it was good. Ill be back, with friends.
Food was mediocre, but the coffee was okay. It took over 10 minutes to get a coffee and panini, even though there was only one other person in front of me. Also, its pretty expensive, if thats an issue.
I normally don’t write reviews about places but this coffee shop is amazing. I have been there multiple times now. Great atmosphere for students like myself to go and study. Very open, urban design, that is not overwhelming at the same time. The service was excellent. The staff is very friendly and engaging. The coffee is AMAZING! Definitely found my new study spot and home away from home for the remainder of my law school career. 10/10 hand down. It’s unlike any coffee shop I’ve visited in Fort Worth.
I like the place good for meetings downtown with wifi
The space is really cool and the drinks are great. They have a large variety of drinks on tap that you won’t find anywhere else. The coffee is good too. The only negative is the staff doesn’t always do a great job cleaning up so it can be a little dirty in the shop during the day.
Baristas arent the most welcoming! Every time I go they kind of stare me down. I saw a new latte they kept posting on social media so I decided to go try it out. $7 and some change for a latte! Thats a little too pricey for me. It was good but not 7.50 good.
Love their chai latte - has a little kick. Staff is always super friendly!
Delicious drinks and food along with exceptional service. Super peaceful vibe. Ill be going back!
This is my favorite place to work/study. They have a huge area with tables, couches, stools, and outlets. I usually come here every weekend. I enjoy their liberty latte. It is sweetened with simple syrup. I wish they had some more syrup options though. I was pleasantly surprised by their food. Ive had their fig toast and their grilled cheese and both were very good.
This place is cool and has a lot of potential. I have had espresso here twice and it has made me think the machine needs a good cleaning. They have different roasts that I havent seen at other cafes in the area. I would like to try them all. It seems to be a good workspace and the bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. I didnt check to see if they serve tea. I hope they are not pushing the revolutionary theme so far they dont serve tea. They could call it untaxed or Patriot Tea, but I love the revolutionary theme. Being directly across from the old Post Office building really drives it home.
Great coffee pitstop! We didnt know that there was free parking at the back and paid for an hour parking by the road... its a blessing to be able to get good coffee while road tripping
Slick operation. These lads know coffee better than anyone in Texas, and dont eat beforehand because youll crave one of their grilled cheese sandwiches as soon as the smell of one wafts past your table. Sit out front for a great view of Fort Worths beautiful post office. Convenient parking front and back, including covered which theyre happy to validate.
Great coffee. The space is fun, open and the folks are jolly nice.
To be honest, I heard the hype but I didn’t think my experience would live up to it. To my surprise, the owner is incredibly, incredibly kind and very interactive with his customers. There is plenty of space to socialize or get work done. Coffee is actually dope. Sandwiches are on point and freshly made to order. (Go for the rebel - unreal!) This shop adds so much value to the community and should be a staple stop for anyone visiting Ft. Worth!
First time visit today. Good coffee and conversation with the staff. If you like pablum and Big Coffee, go to Starbucks. If you want interesting coffee, locally roasted and thoughtfully sourced from a local business in our community, enjoy Sons!
