We bought $5000.00 in couches, a chair and an ottoman. Paid for the warranty. Less than a year from delivery the fabric was completely worn out in the back cushions and the foam inside the arms is gone. You can see the frame thru the fabric. We called in on the warranty and they would not do anything. They called it normal wear and tear. This is not normal. There are only adults in my home and we all work so the use us low. It is not normal for the foam to just disappear out of the armrest in less than a year. I will never by a single piece of anything from this store and have cut up the credit card.

We received good assistance in finding a much needed storage bookcase. It is a beautiful and functional piece to enhance a rather plain room. The staff at this location near Benbrook, Texas, were well trained and efficient; a special thanks to the manager, Cynthia, for her assistance concerning the Elm wood used in the piece. This feels like heirloom quality, Old World design in a distressed hardwood.

Purchased a sectional with great help from those in the store. However, when trying to determine the delivery of the item an individual said that it could arrive tomorrow and then we could schedule the delivery. After no follow-up I called back 5 days later and found out that was completely false and that instead it is likely to be four MORE weeks. Which is two months since the order date and odd given the site says “in-home in 30 days”. False advertising along with a total lie from a representative. When I politely asked if I could talk to the manager about about the misinformation I was told “Honey, that won’t do anything.” I have never had issues with other furniture companies (Pottery Barn, West Elm, or even Anthropologie.) No tracking information is provided, they just expect you to stay on top of it, constantly calling and putting it on yourself to get into the delivery que.

This was the first furniture store I looked through, The owner was very helpful. Found a very beautiful couch!

I purchased a bedroom set, couch, 2 recliners and two mattres sets. I have been satisfied with all of the items except the bedroom set. I’m most disappointed with the lack of customer service. I get much better customer service at Target and Wal-Mart. The drawer pulls on the bedroom set keep breaking. The first one fell off within a week of receiving it. I called Bassett to request a replacement knob and they reminded me that I signed a statement when the furniture was delivered that the furniture was fine. How was I to know that opening a drawer would cause the knob to fall off within a week? They then stated it would be a $40 charge for a new knob. They eventually waived the $40 on a one time only basis, but wouldn’t mail the knob to my home. I had to go to the store to pick up the knob (20+ miles from my home). The replacement knob didn’t even have a screw with it. Since then, I have lost 4 additional knobs which leads me to believe the knobs are defective. I’ve never had trouble with knobs breaking on drawers? Never. At $40 a knob I can’t afford to replace them all as they fall off one by one. It would have been nice if Bassett would have been more helpful and interested in backing their furniture, especially considering the price they charge. I will not return and will not be recommending Bassett.

I had found a convertible baby crib online on clearance and wasnt sure if I was getting all the right pieces-I went into the store and Gayle helped me place my order and reassured me I was getting all the right pieces to complete my set!! This was major for a first time mom; I truly appreciate the in store staff because of their personability and knowledge.

Awful customer service. Walked in, looked around. Meanwhile an employee sat at her desk, looked at us, and did not respond. The furniture looked nice but is not built well.

My wife was having a terrible time finding an ottoman she liked, so we stopped in to Bassett to see if they might have anything. We found that we could custom order an ottoman with the style and fabric we wanted and have it in about 30 days. The selection and ordering part of it went fine, it was the delivery that took the transaction south. In the end it took 53 days to receive out item. This was only after my wife called two weeks in a row and was promised the item would be in on Friday, which didnt happen. They said that their delivery trucks were too busy because they were emptying a store they closed in another part of town. Seems they should have worried about the items that were already paid for first. My second problem with this is that I sent an email about my experience on Monday, received an email from customer service saying the manager would be contacting me shortly on Tuesday morning and Im still waiting for that contact on Thursday afternoon. Pitiful excuse for customer service - especially when you spent the amount of money it takes to get anything at Bassett. I will not be back and I urge you to shop somewhere else as well.

I was looking for home office furniture. If this is your goal, dont bother. Selection is extremely limited. Obviously home office is NOT a big seller. Beyond that, it was a nice clean store with friendly staff.

Sales staff took a lot of time to show us all the options, home delivery personnel are always extremely professional and fastOne small problem with one of the arm covers for our chair...part of it was sewn backwards (rough side out). We dont use them, so it wasnt a big deal to us, but something you should be aware of.

Horrible customer service, would not grace their doors with my presence ever again. 8 sales people and not even a bother to say hello and ask if anything was needed. Glad we took our business elsewhere.
