Christian and Lawrence were absolutely fantastic!! My Mac came back way sooner than expected and they were very very polite I will 100% use them for any other apple issues . I highly recommend this place to anyone !!!
Can’t say enough about the positive experience I had with Chad here. Amidst a busy day, fixed my screen, was transparent, and helped me sort out my phone case and screen protector. Extremely informative. Will absolutely go back! Thanks Chad!
These guys are like wizards they are smart. I came into today and I was assisted by Chad he’s was very friendly and fast at fixing the problem with my iPhone I definitely recommend this place!!
The employees were courteous, and kept me updated throughout the process of diagnosing the issue, parts being ordered (and when delayed by the recent massive snowstorm), and even finding a separate issue I hadnt known about. I was pleased enough with the service that I brought them a second computer with an OS issue that they resolved in a few hours. This is my only experience with Simply Mac, but I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them based on my results. Grateful!
Disappointed. The Genius Bar has confirmed that I really didn’t need to have my computer wiped clean by Simply Mac. Also lost all of my documents. I was clear that I didn’t know much about backing up my computer so am disappointed that Simply Mac didn’t take the time to ensure all was done properly before wiping my computer. I’ll drive to Indy next time to a real Apple store for. True genius to help me out.
The staff at the jefferson pointe location were very helpful and kind. They responded quickly to all of my emails and answered each question in full. Chad Bodie was especially helpful!
Do not even go in this store! I spent 2000 dollars in there last year. Worst customer support ever. After your purchase don’t dare ask them another question about there product or they are offended. Very rude. Today my wife sold her I Watch and meet the person she was selling it to in the store. Was going to buy a new one as soon as she sold hers. They were very rude and told my wife and the person she was purchasing from to leave the store.
Ok first off I love apple product, and this is kinda what simply Mac is all about. They really do try and answer all your questions relating to apple and more. I like the assortment of products they provide. From apple official product to very after market product which could be very affordable for you as I learned. Colorful cases is my favorite go to. Thanks again
Girlfriend and I visited this store on Monday the first of March. Walked in and a male hereby referred to as R came up to us and asked us if there was anything he could help us with. We said no, we were just browsing due to having some Apple products and wanted to check out some accessories. R then proceeded to tell us that due to policy and the fact we were not there with a repair appointment and not planning on spending money immediately, we were asked to leave.I was stunned. How, as a business that has a large portion of walk-in revenue, would you turn down potential customers? It was a very off putting experience. Found out from a coworker that this isnt an uncommon experience from this store and it happened to him a couple weeks ago as well. So, that said, dont go there expecting to think about what you may potentially be buying and want to check out the new products. They will turn you away if you are not prepared to spend money immediately.
Way overpriced and rude staff. The staff actually threatened to call security on us if we didn’t follow their 3 person store limit COVID policy. There’s a reason for so many poor reviews. This company is absolutely crazy. They might as well only operate an online business. Their policies make their in-person stores pointless.
Brought in my iPad that was stuck in recovery mode and was told that it was beyond repair(this was after only a visual inspection)also was told that it had water damage(I keep it in a $60 outter box case “it is not waterproof but very protective” and the device has NEVER had any spills) after trying to get me to buy another device which I turned down I was sent on my way with my beyond repairable iPad. Took it to KYLE DANIEL for a second opinion, a guy here in town that sells and repairs Apple products & he got it out of recovery mode & updated it. I HIGHLY recommend him for services & deals! I do not recommend this store for service.
Needed to return an Apple Pencil because it wasnt working and experienced superb customer service.
Not customer friendly and not easy to work with. They were not up front about certain policies and I basically paid $80 to have them tell me that there was nothing they could do to help me. Very frustrating and not a good way to retain customers...definitely would NOT recommend doing business with these people.
Very disappointing experience. I called ahead to inquire about cell phone accessories and what choices I could expect to see when I arrived. I was told over the phone ‘too many to mention’. I probed a little and was told ‘I can’t possibly have all of them memorized’. When I got to the store there were zero accessories on the shelf that I had inquired about; rather, the associate went to the obsolete drawer behind the counter and dug to find two choices of what I had been told ‘too many to mention’. Sad to say the manager of the location was the person I spoke to on the phone. No attempt on his part to take responsibility - in fact he was sort of rude. **** However, All Things Apple actually did me a favor. After I left All Things Apple, since I was on that side of town, I went across the street to Genius Phone Repair and had a great experience purchasing what I needed. ****
Horrid experience. Bad customer service experience. Went into store during normal operating hours with my spouse to surprise her by buying her a brand new Mac desktop and employee said we had to leave if we didn’t know “exactly” what we wanted. There was one other customer in the store. We were very insulted how it was handled by their employee. We are ashamed to have spent so much money their previously and will surely not return due to the delivery of service provided.
Horrible experience. The customer service at this location sucks so bad. They are rude, unprofessional, and just not focused on providing and savings or quality service. We recommend going anywhere but here. It breaks our hearts to see the name Apple name ran through the mud by this location. Please do research before visiting this location.
In the midst of Covid restrictions the Simply Mac team was conscientious about following the guideline of allowing only 3 people at a time inside their smallish store. I waited less than 5 minutes outside, then about 5 once I was in the store. Rafael was friendly and very knowledgeable about the products and Simply Macs procedures, as well as the likelihood of my water damaged MacBook Pro being repaired. He presented me with all of my options and price estimates (repair/replace like new/buy new) and the time frames for each, as well as costs for data recovery and protection plans (Apple vs. Simply Mac) should I choose to purchase one. I felt like I had all the information I needed to make a good decision. Ultimately I decided to purchase a new laptop and also chose Simply Macs protection plan because it seemed more cost effective and comprehensive for me. Ive since called tech services three times with questions and theyve always helped me promptly and cheerfully. I live 90 miles from the store, but the Apple store in my town is closed so Im very grateful to have discovered Simply Mac for a solution to my problem. I highly recommend this Ft. Wayne store!
Pretty much the only Mac repair joint in town. They’re friendly. My devices were repaired in a decent time. The 3 person limit is very very inconvenient.
Poor service and way overpriced. Beware this company has a 3 person limit so be prepared to wait outside in the cold for who knows how long. Best to find an online service to buy from or for repairs.
Negative Stars Aren’t an Option...Sadly disappointed.Upon entering the store on the afternoon of February 23, 2021, a middle aged sales rep, referred to as “R”, immediately asked how he could help me, approaching me in somewhat of a rushed manner.I shared that my Mac was slowing down a bit since the latest OS update and asked if they had any ideas. R began telling me that sometimes that happens with older machines and that they would be happy to schedule an appointment to service my unit to see if there was anything they could do, but most likely it’s due to the fact the new OS is designed for the more current units and then asked of I there was a unit I looking for in particular? He was, extremely-overly attentively making me feel pressed and uncomfortable. I walked over to a display of Macbooks and began looking at them trying to size up what I may need if I were to add a MacBook to my Apple collection. At this point it became obvious that something was wrong due to his hovering. I’ve been to plenty of Mac stores and have never experienced this type of pressured customer service/sales.I felt very awkward as he continued to follow me with each step I took asking if there’s something in particular I was looking for so he could steer me in the right direction. I said that actually I was going to look around a little.R then informed me that due to store policy regarding social distancing restrictions he is not supposed to let anyone browse. If I wasn’t ready to make purchase right then or schedule a repair that I would have to leave. Obviously I stood there speechless wondering if what I just heard was actually what R just said.Note, the two of us were standing in the middle of the store, with grossly sufficient room for social distancing. I’m the only customer, and he has three employees, one in the back room and two behind the counter who are now watching us from the corner of their eye over their masks as though something was going to escalate.I shared with R that I was actually expecting him to tell me that if a certain amount of additional customers arrived he would need to limit the amount in the store and if I was still ready to make a purchase by then I would need to rotate out until there was enough room again, and I would understand completely, because what he just said was not reasonable.R then repeated his previous statement to which I inquired of whether he was truly serious, that if I wasn’t ready to purchase something right now or schedule an appointment for repair I would not be allowed to browse and would have to leave now? He re-affirmed that this is what he said. I then shared that this was definitely off-putting to a potential customer. In complete disbelief I said ok and began walking, actually feeling as though I was being escorted, towards the door. At which time he apologized for having to enforce the policy and then asked if there was anything else he could help me with. I turned to him with a smile on my face and casually said, “Oh no, I think you’ve just taken care of everything. Thank you. ” He said ok and thanked me for coming in.Yep, R took care of everything. Everything that may have been even a remote desire to do any business with “Simply Mac at Jefferson Pointe” in Fort Wayne, IN, or make any type of recommendation to my business colleagues. In the future when I need to update my Mac equipment I will most assuredly prefer a nice drive to an actual Mac Store in Indy over exposing myself to this type of service.Still can’t wrap my head around it. Very sad. 😕
Macbook screen replaced in 2 days and working perfectly! Great service!
Not good. A few of my friends and I attempted to visit this weekend Nd it was the worse experience ever. We hope Apple sees how they are representing their sub-branded store.it is giving Apple a bad name.
$600 bucks to replace a back glass on an iPhone 12 max pro.. what a joke. Its 50$ if I ship it off.
Weve purchased chargers, covers and other accessories, but this time we needed a new battery for one of our phones. They were upfront about cost and time before proceeding to get all the phone info. I was surprised with how quickly and inexpensive it was to have the battery changed. These guys here are honest and they have some pretty great sales quite often!
Don’t count on them to answer the phone.
Horrible customer service. Worse I’ve experience in 39 years.
Very poor customer service. We submitted a Macbook for repair and I was quoted much lesser when they called me initially and I accepted to move forward with the repair. Later when I went to pay the bill, I was charged 50% more to what they quoted. Senior Service technician who provided us the quote initially agreed that there was miscommunication and their Manager would call us for next steps. Manager was very irresponsible and said it was our mistake and it was communicated appropriately. I will never recommend anyone to go to Simply Mac at Fort Wayne.
Rude staff! I had a an appointment at 10 am, they were late opening store. I brought phone over for a malfunction, was I there 2 minutes if that because all they were trying to do is sale things. Scam artist and very rude! Don’t waste time going here!
SimplyMac is a great place to get your iPhonefixed!! The tech who helped me was very courteous and knowledgeable. My phone was completely unusable when I took it in and an hour later I got it back in perfect running order. Thanks SimplyMac!!
I made a reservation online before driving over an hour to the store to have my screen replaced. Upon arriving I was told that they couldnt do it before closing and I would need to come back another time.I understand you can get busy and backed up, but surely there could have been a phone call or some other courtesy to prevent the unnecessary drive. Furthermore, the staff was rude and seemed not to care about the situation.
These guys talk to you like a 5 year old over the phone I would give 0 stars if I could!! Would recommend anywhere else but here!
My daughter went to Simpli MAC after other Apple Watch dealers wouldn’t help and she got good service. I was especially impressed with their care with social distancing to protect customers.
My daughter made a reservation online with them thru Apple Care. When we arrived, (after an hour and a half drive) we were told to come back tomorrow because there were too many other repairs ahead of us. Unless, of course, we wanted to pay the $50 rush fee and it could be done by closing. We had arrived at 430 and they close at 6. Miraculously, after agreeing to pay the fee, they found time to replace the screen. Took less than an hour. Would never recommend this company as they obviously would rather take advantage and screw over their customers.
I dont know if this is even the correct phone number but I have called for the past 3 days with no answer. Music just plays with an automated voice. I have also left messages as directed and no one has called me back.Ive need assistance because they have had my phone for repair for the past 3 weeks and no has made the effort to return my call. I need the phone back.
I want to drop my phone off but I highly dough they feel the need to give it back!! Taking almost three weeks to give back my cell knowing I have bunnies to do! I shouldn’t have to drive up here every time to get the smallest answer for anything. How do u repair phones but can’t answer the phone! Trust me mores going to happen then just this comment the worst place to go lucky there the only option there is! And I wouldn’t even give them one star but it doesn’t go lower then that I’ve called 6 times in a row no answer! Trash eat service ever!!!!
I went in there to have them diagnose a known recall problem for iPhone model a1660. The guy there had my phone for 5 minutes and comes back and tells me my battery is running at 78% they said nothing about the known recall, they charged me $30 dollars for a diagnosis that they didn’t even diagnose. Called the real apple right when I left and apple instantly knew what the problem was. And Is going to fix it for free. Told apple about My experience at simply Mac and they laughed saying never go there.
At the beginning of February I took my laptop to get recovered for photos that I was in need of. After weeks of them having my computer, then sending it off to another facility to get it recovered, they couldn’t recover it. I went to go pick up my computer and to get refunded the money they charged for the recovery, they however couldn’t refund me, they told me they would send me a check in a week, I waited over a week no check. My husband and I contacted them and they stated the corporate office would send us a check. We waited and still no check, we have called and left messages and still are not getting answers! We are beyond frustrated with Simply Mac. I wouldn’t recommend anything from this store!!!!!
Took our iMac in from church to get a solid state drive. It is used for production at church and I asked for a quick repair so we can have it up and running again. They promised to call us and give an update on time. Over 2 weeks later I went in to check on it cuz you cannot call the store. they said well the hard drive should be in today. Very frustrating that a mac store cant get a freaking hard drive in under 2 weeks. He said should be done in a few days..I guess it takes several days to do a 1 hour job. we have 3 more imacs and a mac pro that we wanna update but will not use them again. I would never recommend this place for service. Before this we had a 2016 imac the sound quit working. They diagnosed it and said it would be $1600 to fix it. Seriously you can buy a new one for that.
Would not recommend this place at all. Brought my laptop in for a replacement battery. Computer sat for five days and they have not ordered the battery or “diagnose” the issue. Called multiple times and they never answer the phone, call five times yesterday and twice today before they answered. Sending it to Apple
Beware of statements they make during sales and of their photo recovery service. The battery on our MacBook Pro finally died complete, so we took it in to replace the battery and keyboard. They did a good job on the repairs, but also sold us unnecessary data recovery service that did not cover the data they claimed. In particular, we purchased their photo recovery service because they said this would backup all photos on the laptop, every Jpeg file. The was not true. The backups they made included only the Photo Library (the photos in the Photos app) not any of the other .jpg or .cr2 (raw photo) files that were on the laptop. If the laptop drive had indeed been wiped, this false statement would have had substantial consequences. Which brings us to the next sales mis-statement...We were told that to replace the battery, the laptop would be sent away and so the internal drive had a high chance of getting wiped or replaced. Instead, they did the repair in-house. When called them on this afterward, the manager said *all* repairs have a high likelihood of data loss. As a software developer who has done many computer repairs myself, I know this to be untrue -- of course theres always some chance, but this repair in particular does not have a high likelihood of wiping the drive. The manager refused to argue semantics with me and refused to change his position. In the end, the only recompense he offered was to copy any other photos we wanted from the laptop to the backup drive, which of course was only possible because the backup hadnt been necessary in the first place! So as far as I can tell, the actual repair work was done well, but if you choose to do business with Simply Mac, I would beware of relying on statements made during sales.
The employees were simply amazing ! Took the time to break down my shy daughters walls since we were going to be there for a while. Highly recommend!
I’m reporting this place to apple. My wife dropped our computer off and we’ve tried calling and leaving messages with no response. We live 45 minutes from the store so we can’t just drop in. I run my business from the laptop they have, it’s been over a week with no updates on the issues nor any call backs from our voicemails, nobody picks up the phone. If you have an issue with your apple product do not take it here.
Great service. Very knowledgeable and nice people.
Took phone in for a repair, they had to send it in, should have received it by now been over three weeks. I understand with the virus effecting things but they could at least answer there voicemail or emails to give me an update, will never recommend them to anyone. There customer service really stinks.
Derek, Jeremy and Kevin are fantastic. Their customer service is outstanding! They did an analysis on our laptop, were from out of town only had two days and they took time right away to do a full diagnostics to let us know what was wrong. Highly recommend this place. I noticed some of the reviews seem to criticize them for something beyond their control, example apples pricing etc. but as a certified preferred Apple vendor its the same as going to an Apple store and their highly trained certified technical staff can do anything that an Apple Store can. This is a great place to do business!
Contacted apple for battery replacement information on my iPhone 6s. I was told it would be $29.95 at the apple store or authorized retailer. I asked apple and they indicated Simply Mac was an authorized retailer so I called Simply Mac in Ft Wayne to see if they had the battery and was told it would be $49.95. I understand they want to make money but this is unacceptable. When the manufacturer you represent does a special campaign for out of warranty repair you should be participating in the program. I have had good service in the past and also have recommended this store. That all changed today with a 30 second phone conversation. Look at the other reviews.... it appears I am not the only one.
I just got my phone screen fixed there. I am very impressed with the work done. I feel like my 2 year old phone is brand new again. 🙌🏼 Each employee I interacted with was very kind to me. The only reason I gave this a 4 Star instead of 5 is because I was told that my screen would be overnighted in & it took a week before I was called to bring my phone back in to be fixed.
Rudely asked me to leave as I was walking in to say they had too many customers in the store. There was 3 max and they only had 2 customers in the store. They claimed to be waiting on a different customer to come in. What, am I not good enough? Despicable customer service. I will never shop here again.
So the place that wants to sell you a phone or repair your phone doesn’t even have working phones that you can call so that’s always a great sign. We’ve been trying to get a computer fixed for months and every time we need to talk to them we get a run around game.Do not buy from them or waste your time here!
Simply Mac reached back out to me and promptly apologized for the issue. Upon my next visit to the store they refunded me in full. Changed review from 1 star to 4 stars.—————————————I recently brought my malfunctioning MacBook Pro to the Simply Mac Fort Wayne location for servicing. The attendant was professional and informative. He attempted to run some preliminary tests, but relented and said the technician would have to take a look. Upon receiving this news, I proceeded by paying the $69.99 diagnostics test and communicated that I’d like to have the findings of the report given the cost agreed upon.Today, when I went to pick up my laptop I requested a copy of the diagnostics report. The manager informed me that the diagnostics testing was never ran and so there was no such report. I asked the manager, “if I’m understanding correctly, I signed and paid for a $69.99 diagnostic testing that never took place.” He agreed and apologized that unfortunately it was nonrefundable and because I signed there’s nothing I can do.My concern with this practice is that I paid and signed the agreement of the $69.99 diagnostic fee, yet the service was never carried out. The suggested repair was almost $900 and so I would have liked the agreed upon diagnostic testing report to evaluate my next steps and potential options of repair outside the store. However, this test was not run and the report was not granted to me.Given my experience, I am requesting reimbursement for the $69.99 diagnostic test that was never completed.I use and will continue to use several Apple products, but is this the service I should expect from your store in the future?
Usually this store is good on the tech side and slow on the initial customer greeting. Once you are in the que, they are very helpful. I think they need to hire more help so people coming in can be addressed while those working to solve a tech issue for someone is not interrupted.
The people at Simply Mac were simply outstanding! They were all so friendly and helpful. They really came through for me when I was in a pinch. Kaitlyn especially was friendly, engaging and very helpful. I would highly recommend Simply Mac in Fort Wayne for all of your computer needs!
I went to the Simply Mac store on Sunday 1/8/17. I was the first customer of the day and was promptly greeted as I walked in. I told the associate, Justin, that I was having a problem with my brand new iPhone 7. He immediately went to work to fix my problem. After he started several other customers walked in. He quickly went to work helping three of us at one time. He was never flustered or put out by this but was courteous and professional the entire time. He quickly resolved my problem. Thank you Justin for doing a great job. I will be back.
Very clean and well organized shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good selection of accessories for Apple products.
We have called multiple times over the past week- multiple voicemails- and no call back. I’d like my computer back ASAP and I will take it somewhere else. Our trust in your ability to properly fix the issue and communicate is gone.
My experience at Simply Mac was great! I needed some diagnostic work and malwear removed from my laptop and they did it quickly and thoroughly. They were very patient and answered all of my questions in a way I could understand. I will definitely go back to Simply Mac if the need arises.
So i have tried to call them 20 times now. No answer. I know that they are open. It is a 30 minute drive for me so it’s kind of hard for me to just go there for 1 question. PLEASE FIX THIS CALLING ISSUE. I have pressed option 3... heard the ring and then the menu again too many times.
After running the diagnosis, I got a quote by phone to fix the problem with my Mac. However, when I was at the store to pick up my device and pay for the service, I was told that the price was $80 higher. I was not informed in advance about the change. This makes me believe that the company doesnt have an ethical policy for charging its customers.
Needed to get my wife’s MacBook Pro keyboard replaced. They were super helpful in guiding what I needed to say to Apple to get it covered (as it should have been). Then they did the work on it and it didn’t cost us a dime. This Simply Mac was quick, professional, and the MBP has worked like a charm! Done and done!
Jonathan S provided stellar service regarding a problem for which I had been struggling with Apple Care online for several hours, without resolution.Simply Mac diagnosed my problem, resolved it and I left the store a satisfied customer for Apple products. Apple should be grateful to the staff at this Simply Mac store.
I am a joint venture business customer with Apple. I spoke with an apple support representative about an issue I was having with my iMac. He referred me to a local Simply Mac to save me a trip to Indianapolis. So when I called to see if I could bring it in for them to run Diagnostics, the person on the phone was not very helpful. I got the feeling I was an interruption in his day and they didnt really need the business. This makes me appreciate even more Apples excellent customer service. Anyway, Im on my way to Indianapolis to the Apple Store in 10 degree weather. And Im happy to do it to get professional service which I have grown accustomed to.
Called apple to have a cable replaced under recall, Apple made it very clear that they can replace the cable in store and I advised that I dont have an apple store near me, phone agent said that they do have a certified apple repair specialist and recommend SimplyMac. She also advised that they have a 1 PM appointment, she made notes in the system. I went that day for the repair to find out that they are not helpful and would/could not replace the cable. They wanted to have me send it in, I can do the same thing with apple. So then they suggested I buy a new cable from them and send in the cable, I said no and left. Working with apple to resolve quickly.Simply put, These guys will just mail out most repairs to apple anyways, either drive to Indy and get it fixed same day by a REAL APPLE STORE or use the apple mail in service. Also best buy has pretty customer service and might help you.I did not that they do have a decent selection of apple cables and adapters if you cant find what you want at best buy!
If there were an option to choose 0 stars, that would be my selection for the experience I got today.Called the place, the guys answered the phone without stating his name.I asked him, what is the procedure for bringing my MacBook Pro to fix it? do I need to set an appointment? In what he replied, yes, just bring it in, and that will take over five business day to get diagnostic done. Then I asked another question, to which he replied with Sorry I have to go; i have actual in-store customers. I hope this message will get to the owner of the store, so they will discover what amazingly helpful in-store employees they got.
I came in because my Iphone X display went green and had purple lines vertically across the display. They took a look and replaced my screen for free and replaced the scratched from glass on my phone! I dropped it off on Friday and it was ready on Tuesday! Im very pleased with my experience here because my phone looks better than it did when I bought it thanks to them!
Told me they could install the upgrade. Drove all the way from Cleveland to get it done. Then they changed their minds. No apologies. No attempts to make it right. This was the store manager so I can’t go over his head. Better find another mac store!
Would like to say thank you yet again to Derek who said yes to letting me charge my dead phone while waiting for someone to pick me up since my keys were locked in my car. Talked to me until they arrived to make me feel better. I Appreciate it and you made my night with way less anxiety. Thank you, you were very helpful and I learned a lot about the company while being there.
Every time I try to call(during business hours)they don’t answer.Interesting way to do customer service.Update....After my review I received an email response apologizing and instructing me to call again....so I called again (8 Times, I think) and no one answered (during business hours).Wow! Business must be good.
Very pleasant staff and got my iPhone X back to working thanks for the quick repair of my device. Highly recommended for all your Apple devices.
Walked in with a broken Iwatch (which I can live without). and 6 days later had a new one with no fees, no charges and excellent serves.. along with that I was just visiting the area from Michigan.. All was handled very professionally and communication via email and calls were very helpful..Thank Simply Mac - Fort Wayne...
Needed the thunderbolt port replaced on a Macbook Pro. They originally quoted $408. Then the salesman went to the back, came back and quoted $600, then said they werent sure what it would cost. This all happened in the same 5 minutes. Seemed very shady. I left.Update: went to Signature Mac off of Coliseum instead: they told me exactly what was needed to be done and fixed it under warranty! I would recommend Signature Mac instead.
Not there. Just at Jefferson Point for the concert.I didnt give this business 1 star because it is a bad business, but because I have not been inside of the store. Dont think I can post without a star rating. We were at Jefferson Point for a free concert on a Friday evening and Saturday down in front of the store.
I absolutely loved the Simply Mac store. I brought in my 2012 mac book pro retina that had a bad run in through the airport, like the screen was unhinged, wires hanging out. Basically fire hazard ready to happen. In less than a week they had my baby looking brand new, with a new screen and everything. Personally I think they secretly got me a new laptop for half the price ;) I am absolutely thrilled by it and everyone there was super nice! Will definitely go again!
Rude staffOver priced for what you get
This place is charging an extra $20 for replacing iphone battery, instead of $29.99 as shown on Apple website. BeWare!!This is not the only authorized Apple Service Center in Fort Wayne as they claimed!Go to Best Buy / Geek Squad on Coliseum Blvd if you want to avoid the extra fee. It is also an authorized Apple Service Center in town.
Guy was very nice and considerate especially since i was a worried wreck about losing all my contacts and pics. Helped me out immediately and got my phone working in shop.
Had an issue with iphone 8+. Took the phone into Simply Mac. The staff was courteous and helpful. The phone was under warranty, it was sent in for repair and returned to us when they said it would be. Very simple process.
We went in to purchase our first Mac. The sales associate explained the differences between the different models. She also listened to our needs to be sure we had the correct model that would meet our needs.
Couldnt really tell whether they were employees or just dudes that hangout there. Bugs me that I had to inturrupt their conversation to get helped (both times)... Especially when I was the only one in their very small store. Im not a boomer either, they were just that bad.
I took my iPhone there after the screen was shattered and Jim and Wes took care of things right away for me. I am very happy with the work done. I do wish someone would have answere the phone when I called but in person everyone was great. I’ll take any of my Apple stuff there for work.
The guys at the store helped answer all of my questions about my new mac book and even transferred all the information from my old one. Wouldnt change a thing.
I have an iPhone 6s. I wanted to participate in the battery exchange program, of course Simply Mac is the closest Apple retailer, so I went through them. First time using them for anything. My first appointment cost $20, for a diagnostic so they could assess whether I needed a new battery. iPhones provide display battery health in preferences by the way, but Simply Mac charged me $20 to look it up anyway and say, yep, battery is old and needs replaced. Had to wait about 5 weeks for the battery to arrive. Made another appointment, which was to be 45 mins duration. Left it at the store for 2 hours, then they finally emailed me saying it was ready for pickup. They apologized and said they tried multiple new batteries but the phone would not boot up with the new batteries, so they could not replace it. My phone would still work with the old battery though, so at least they didnt break it. They said they wouldnt charge me the additional $30 for the battery since it didnt work. Nice... but they refused to refund the $20 up front fee though, which is completely unacceptable. They said they still had labor so the $20 paid for that. These clowns are total jokers. So, I gave them $20, FOR NOTHING, multiple trips to the store and the time for appointments, and in the end I paid them to hold my phone for 2 hours and give it back to me in the same condition.I called Apple. The representative said at an Apple store the charge is $29 for a battery swap, no $20 diagnostic fee, and typically takes 5 minutes, one appointment. He highly suspects the battery from Simply Mac was not genuinely Apple, otherwise it should have worked. So, Simply Mac is charging $50 for an imposter battery that took 2 appointments, more than 2 hours, and didnt work... vs Apple charging $29 for a genuine part that takes 5 minutes to replace. Simply Mac uses Apples logo on their signs, calling themselves an Apple Specialist. I asked how to file a formal complaint against Simply Mac as a third party licensee of Apple.I was transferred to an escalated department at Apple Corporate. They will supposedly be opening an investigation into their license/business relationship with Simply Mac. In the mean time, please consider not using Simply Mac, hopefully they close their doors soon and stop stealing our hard earned money and wasting our time.
I arrived 10-15 minutes before the store closed, twice this week; once to drop my phone off because the touch screen wasnt working, except for very little, and then again to pick it up. They were extremely welcoming and didnt make me feel like the nuisance I was for showing up so late. I am grateful for the employees accommodation and the help provided to get my phone fixed up and running smoothly again.
Took iMac in for data recovery. They removed 3TB hard drive and sent to their facility in Tennessee to recover the data. It sat there for 6 months. I finally asked them to send the hard drive back so I could have another company recover the data. This other company was very competent and informed me that in order to recover the data they also needed the other portion of my Fusion Drive (the 128GB solid state portion that looks like a microprocessor). Unfortunately Simply Mac wasnt able to even work on my data recovery; and I wish they would have known that the solid state portion of the iMacs Fusion Drive was also necessary for a proper data recovery. Seven months later I have all my data back; a frustrating process. In fairness, Simply Mac did give me a refund.
Got my phone back in 2 days instead of 7 like they said ! Very quick and knowledgeable! Very satisfied and will refer friends to them!
Great Experience. Derek was able to get us nearly $500 off of our $999 laptop through discounts and trade ins. In and out within an hour.
Great service...!!!
All of the staff were very courteous and helpful. When I took in my 2009 IMAC for a repair of a graphic card it was determined my best option was to make a new purchase. Wes was very knowledgable in helping me decide the best computer to buy and did everything necessary to make the transfer of information.
Unless it was part of a scripted, blurp, they did NOT know anything. I did successful Govt I.T. subcontracting transitioning Mac PC Intel Mac PC Intel Mac Mac I would have fired for incompetence.
Fast and helpful. Solved my problem on the spot. Very fair pricing.
I purchased a new IPhone for my sweeties birthday. It was from my cellphone provider and it came with a code already on it.After two frustrating days I found this place only to find that they would charge me for Apples mistake. (Nice revenue maker, there Apple)So I paid the ransom to unlock the brand new phone and in my giddiness I allowed Keith to sell me an extra charger. It wasnt an extra charger, as Keith told me it was. It is simply the cable. When I called today regarding returning it, wouldnt you know-it had a 14 day limit, even though I have the receipt and he remembers selling it to me.Long story short-they may be an authorized repair center, but purchase accessories at your own risk! You too may be sold a useless cord.At least the guy on the phone thought it was funny-he sure had a good chuckle while telling me I wasted $35. His suggestion? Resell it. Yeah, I wish I had the option of giving less than 1 star.
Service was quick. They replaced the battery in my iPhone 6 and had it done within a half hour or so.
Jim is the best at putting on screen saversAlso very knowledgeable on products he sells and supports
I am a huge fan. They stand behind their warrantee. My laptop could not be fixed so they applied the money I put toward the laptop 2 years ago to a new computer today. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Was told there was a slight bend in my phone and they would not replace my battery (Iphone 6). Was told only thing I could do was buy a new phone. Went to GTS repair in the back of A+ Computers and they replaced it in 45 min at the same cost Apple is offering. Dont waste your time here. They will look for ANY excuse not to fix your phone!
Horrible service, they tried to charge me an extra $20 just to install a new battery in my phone. Any other Apple store only charges the cost of the battery, dont bother stopping here, just go to the Best Buy across from Glenbrook, much better service there.
I enjoyed my visit here. Sales guys werent too pushy which was nice.
Went to have my iphone 7 looked at and sent in to get a replacement. They wouldnt sent it out I have to do that myself after they said they would. Plus the guy (Jeremy) didnt even charge my phone so it was dead. DONT EVER GO TO THIS STORE in Jefferson Pointe in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Would rather drive 90 miles to go to Apple or better yet drive to Apple in California from Ohio. After my phone came on they had already factory reset my phone so I had to activate an old phone until I can get the new one from Apple in 8-14 days around May 8,2017 and today is April 25,2017
Walked in with my iPhone screen not working. Not cracked but the digitizer was unresponsive. Checked apples website for warranty, which it was still covered. The kid took 7 seconds to look at my phone to tell me that it would not be covered under warranty and within 15 seconds he offered to switch me to AT&T. I have a feeling they are taking advantage of Apples name to sell AT&T if you ask me...
Horrible service from them today! Went in to fix the camera on my iPhone (which had a recall). He looked at it for one second and said there was a was a slight delay and I would have to pay to have that fixed! I told him to show me the delay and he said it only happens randomly and could not show me the delay! They would not fix the camera. He was rude, will never go there again!
Beware! Our experience (after the purchase) is that when you have a problem you speak with Apple who tries to help. If they cant resolve the issue, they tell you to take it back to Simply Mac who then tries the same fixes. So right now we are in limbo.....Apple cant help, Simply Mac cant resolve the issue, so we have a $600 paper weight, unless we want to pay a 10% restocking fee to get 90% of our money back. Item purchased: Ipad Pro.
