I was broken down, had my vehicle towed to this shop experienced excellent customer service. Was told i needed a $500 oil change to fix my no crank problem. After a week my truck was back to doing the same thing it was doing before I brought it there. After a month the exact problem that I had my diesel pulled to this shop to repair leaking transmission fluid, it began to leak transmission fluid again, call the shop I was told of a mechanic shop to visit they possibly can fix my issues. I should have called A1 for there recommendation before bringing it to them. Some $1050 later. Do not visit this Scam business!!!!!!!! 0 star

Excellent Service and professionalism. Their shop has serviced and repaired all of my cars, suvs and trucks for over 15 years. They are always courteous, efficient, and most importantly, honest. Their fees are very reasonable. They never recommend anything you don’t need or try to sell you extra services. I guess this is why they service fire trucks and military vehicles. I highly recommend this shop. The staff are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. They always go above and beyond to ensure my family and I are driving/riding in a safe vehicle.

Ripped off local hunger relief program. Charged $1800 for a water pump replacement on our truck without calling or emailing work order to our program. Not the first time theyve made costly repairs without calling or emailing a quote. This was after I was told it would be a simple repair and that a water pump could be as cheap as $30 by their head manager. I called a week after dropping the truck off to see if they had a quote and they said it wasnt ready. Half a week later I get a call from the shop saying the truck is ready to pick up and they then sent me an invoice. I had all my old invoices reviewed by two other diesel shops and was informed by both (one being a company that has helped us when purchasing trucks in Tampa. Never charged us) that theyve been taking us to town for a while on all our repairs. Replacing thermostat every repair. Weve had a lift gate that they have looked at THREE times and charged us each time and never fixed. Our driver found out it was a fuse and its been working ever since. Our program provides free foods to 40 feeding programs in Okaloosa and Walton County. They know this! I spoke with their owner over 2 months ago on the phone and told him all my concerns and he promised to call me back once he figured out what was going on. I know that they can charge as much as they like over retail, and thats their right, but theyre going to definitely need to provide a quote beforehand if they expect their customers to pay such outrageous rates. I had two other local mechanics quote me between $700 - $900, without me giving them rates we were charged. I told the owner wed pay half since I do understand he has parts and labor to cover. I never heard back from him. Their secretary Debra sent me a nasty letter saying how shocked she was that a nonprofit would rip off a local business after we paid for half the invoice they never quoted us. Thats right - sent them a check and they sent me a nasty letter. Insists they called on the quote. Apparently dishonesty is institutionalized at this business. Weve spent thousands with them over the past three years. If there wasnt a real good reason not to, we would pay them in full again.

Have a we don’t care attitude about business. Seems they make plenty of money on fleet contracts they don’t care if they loose a customer here or there.Long story short I needed some work done and explained I had a price on the part. They called with the repair quote and stated the part was going to cost $300 dollars. I explained that was an unreasonable markup as I could buy it from the manufacture for $185. They also were still billing for the diagnostic even though they said that would be waived if they did the work. When asked about the diagnostic fee they stated they originally stated they would waive that fee when they thought the job would be bigger aka pay more.Long story short they stated I needed to find a new mechanic due to the fact I did not agree with the markup on the part and their billing practices.Best of luck A-1 Diesel you have lost a customer that will always have diesel vehicles in the driveway.

Rip off. I was concerned a truck I was considering to buy may have head gasket issues. I had it taken to them for a pre purchase inspection with the sole purpose of a head gasket inspection. They charged me the diag fee and told me the HG was good. Less than a week of having the truck I take it to a shop for routine maintenance. Guess what ? HG is blown. But that cant be right because it was just checked. So I take to a third shop for a second (third opinion ). The finding? Blown HG. $8k job. Thanks A1.... You were worse than useless. Relying upon your expert opinion is costing me alot of money.

Brought my vehicle in for a (job most of their mechanics are good at) after agreeing in a timeline and price for the repair. After being told it would be ready by the start of the following week I never receoved a call. Upon calling them the person working the desk told me my repair would cost 400 dollars more than we agreed. I asked why and she said she had to ask her boss and she would call me back. Since she didnt call back, I did and was told my truck needed an additonal 60 dollars worth of work. I excepted this and was told it should be done in a couple more days. After not getting an update at the end of the week I called and was told the boss was supposed to take it out for a test drive.Several hours later he calls me back and askes if Ive ever had problems with the vehicle dying randomly as it had died while he was driving it. Obviously no, as I wouldve brought it to a shop sooner. Once again, after a few days I had to call and ask what the status was. I was told that Id need a 500 dollar injection gear which I found and bought for 145 for them. I was also told I needed a woodruff key for it as well. (I later found out my model doesnt come with or need these items) After a few more days without update I called and was told I needed a new pump which would cost over a grand. I promply had my vehicle removed from the shop via wrecker. Not only did they try and spoon money from me, their mechanics broke my grill, hood latch and fuel shutoff knob in my cab. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS!!!

Took my Motorhome there for an oil change, and had my fuel tank drained! Obviously someone broke in at night and stole the fuel, also cost me $100 for locksmith to repair the keyed door of the fuel cover. They admitted that it happened then refused to do anything. I continued to refer customers to them from my local business. Then when my RV was due for the next oil change I asked about the security of the lot and if it was safe. They called me back after speaking to the owner and said We think you should go somewhere else if you do not think we are safe! I kid you not! I said, wait a minute, I give you my business for years, refer all kinds of additional business to you, you have my motorhome when my fuel tank is drained (no small tank) and you are telling me to go fly a kite? Bob said yes he spoke to the owner and We do not want or need your business! Wow! I was nice as could be and Bob was RUDE!

The reason why you keep coming back is because they Fix the problems you have, while breaking something else so you will comeback in a few months.
