When I had first received this cut of wagyu, as you can tell, it appeared to be very grey and dark in color towards the outer edges. It had not even been opened and yet it was already discolored. I thought this would go away after it had defrosted., but the tinted meat remained. I couldn’t eat the outer parts which obviously is a waste of the $400 I had spent. I contacted customer support and they offered no help. Poor service.
Final update: So just happened to order during the souths freak snow storm so shipping was delayed no fault of there. But once it actually shipped the overnight shipping was great showed up before noon the next day with plenty of dry ice left in box. As far as packaging goes itwas great. Really liked the laminated certifications for each steak. Ordered the a5 miyazaki ribeyes they were advertised as 12 to 16ozs. One was 16.5 and the other was 17.3 with packaging was really nice to see they gave towards and above the higher end of the spectrum for weight. One of the steaks were very oxidized and lost out on the expectation side and just being very nit picky but customer service was great. And responded quickly. Steaks were otherworldly just the richest beef ever tasted. Well worth the money. Id recommend these guys for the pride they have in there product

Beware of Scam.Went there for delivery. Once delivery done guy come over to give paperwork. Was asking for money $80 lumper fee. I said ok, I will call my dispatch to check. He said no dont call give me cash .. I said what.. but why..I dont have cash, I have to get cheque from company. Then he said dont worry leave it.Other thing is there are only 2 docks and have to backup from street and its too tight place.
I have been ordering from Grand Western for over a year. I recently received an order of 2 Prime tenderloins that were good, but not up to their usual excellence. I understand beef has been hard to get during the COVID crisis, so I figured that was the reason. Because I know they always strive for excellence, I sent them an email to let them know. I wasnt expecting anything in return.I heard from Emilio within an hour of me sending my email and he insisted he wanted to make it right. I assured him it wasnt a big deal. I didnt hear back from him so I figured he just blew me off. Just the opposite. I soon received an email with a FedEx tracking label. They far exceeded any reasonable form compensation, especially since the original products were better than most other places.I feel guilty because I never expected nor asked this from them. It absolutely confirmed this is the only place to get high-quality meat.

Website discount system needs some work. Had a discount code for 30% off and the site kept offering free shipping if I added some more to my cart (to get over the $350) for free shipping. I did just that and I noticed on the checkout page that they still wanted to charge me $14.95 for shipping. I inquired about this on their FB chat and 7 hours later, they told me to try a different browser. I did and got the same result. THEN they tell me that free shipping is not available if combined with discount codes over 15%. I explain to them that their site is offering it in order to get me to add more to my cart. The final explanation is to read the fine print (its there, I admit), that free shipping is not available combined with discount codes over 15%. I was including screenshots of my cart where you can clearly see that the 30% discount code is entered but their site is telling me just $34 more to qualify for free shipping...then I add $34 more to the cart, then it says You qualify for free shipping!. Guess what, when its time for checkout, theres that mysterious $14.95 charge. The chat rep did not acknowledge the issue and instead referred me to the fine print multiple times. Im changing my 1 star review to 4 - ONLY because I cant stand to ding a smallish business in my home state. Get it together guys.
I have been ordering from Grand Western steaks for over a year now. It is for personal use - just me and a bunch of friends who enjoy really good quality steaks. If I had to guess - I am nearing $10,000 in steaks. (Emilio can confirm this in a reply). Ive never once had a problem - and every steak was exactly as advertised - and the best flavors - especially their new dry aged steaks! Just an all around easy experience to order from them - and the nicest guys to work with! Thanks everyone at Grand Western.
Place is great. Had a problem with my order, was a typo on their part. Called them and asked about it and they said oh no. They said it was their mistake and will honor the typo and sent the remaining free steaks. Far as quality, off the charts cut of meat. I will be ordering again for sure.

I ordered the $350 to get free shipping. I am a first time buyer and def was not disappointed when the arrived. They arrived frozen solid, the steaks look fantastic and I am excited to try all of this. The ribeyes are marbeled and better than expected. I cant wait to try them soon!

I ordered some steaks when i heard about the quality through a friend of mine. I was so satisfied when the steaks came the next day and they looked so good. They came to taste even better. I couldnt believe it tasted just like a restaurant. I tried to place an order through Emilio.I was referred to him by Guga from SVE.He promised for days to have a quote emailed to me. I realize the order was only going to be for $1000 or so, but it was for a big event. He never quoted me a price or sent me an invoice. Ive called and left messages and emails. He promised that he could handle the order then completely blew me off. I dont understand why he didnt communicate with me.
Purchased 4 of the tomahawk Ribeyes for 350 dollers and they tasted like a steak I could of purchased from Publix!!! So disappointing 😔. Oh and yes I know how to prepare a steak before grilling! And yes I know how to grill!
Since Cheney Bros. Bought it out they changed the unloading dock to the CBI way and it has slowed way down. Only has 2 unloading docks and 1 dock is not used but for a Cheney storage trailer. Waiting to unload has gotten very long. Was a nice place before Cheney took over.
