I have been in retail management for close to 20 years. I have to admit, the management in this store is above amazing. Not only did I get my glasses in less than a week, I also was treated like an actual patient, and not like another person. The manager Stephanie took care of my needs and also picked out the coolest glasses that fit like a glove. I have had several pair of glasses, but I had a good friend that saw mine and ordered the same frames. The doctor was very caring about what kind of lenses I wanted and helped with that. I told him I was tired of taking my glasses off and on for driving and sitting in front of my computer all day at work. There is that old saying that you can not please everyone, but after seeing some of the negative reviews, I put myself in employees shoes, since I have been doing this for so long, some things are out of the employees and management hands. we should take that into consideration, sometimes its our insurance companies that keep these people from being the best of the best, yet we take it out on the wrong people. To the staff and manager at Pearle in Florence KY, keep doing what your doing and great things will come. Your all phenomenal class A people.
I have just picked up my glasses and they are beautiful ! Tried them on and everything is working fine. In all the crazy COVID the shop is crazy busy I’m thankful for the people that have hung in there. Stephanie and josh are getting it done. Thanks 👍🏼
I love Dr T. The staff, however, needs customer service training. They arent friendly and the gentleman was abrasive and didnt give us full disclosure on pricing when we ordered glasses. When glasses arrived- husband picked his up and they asked if they seemed to fit ok. In the past, theyve checked and measured while on him, to ensure fit is correct. Instead left it up to him and he will be bringing them back as there is an issue-one which couldve been circumvented with proper servicing when there for pick up.
Excellent DOC, best technology, and experienced professional, friendly, customer oriented staff.For a # cruncher that is near sighted with astigmatism... this is the ONLY vision center that not only gets my prescriptions correct but understands my reading and vision needs. Been a patient at this location almost 10 years.Other places rush you in and out while treating you like a # and $ sign. Dr David Tabeling now cares not just for me but a family member as well.Thanks Stephanie and the rest of the staff that was able to accommodate our scheduling issues.
I wanted to thank your amazing employee Stefanie. A few weeks back I came in with my Dads glasses that he had bent during a fall. He wasnt able to come into the office himself. I had asked Stefanie if she was able to help straighten them. I knew it was an unusual request. I explained the situation and she replied she would do the best she could. After a few minutes she performed her magic and straightened the glasses. I assured her once the pandemic was under control and my Dad could safely come in to the store he would. Thank you to Stefanie. She deserves 5 stars plus more.
I have been going here for a few years. The entire staff is always pleasant and my latest trip had me interacting with a Brandy. I came in with a pair of glasses that were broken. She had them fixed and I was on my way in less than 15 minutes. This short visit was just another showing of this locations courteous attitude. I highly recommend this place.
I adore my new Tory Burch frames that the team helped me pick out. Dr. Tabeling does a wonderful job every time and makes me feel confident in trusting him with all of my vision needs. 10/10 recommend!
Avoid this place. They are not accredited with the Better Business Bureau - for a reason. I had an exam, ordered 2 pair of glasses (a pair of sunglasses and regular frames). I only need reading glasses. They wanted to transition me to progressive lenses. The sunglasses arrived first. However there was a problem as they distorted my distance vision. I let them know right away.When I took the sunglasses back I told them I did not want progressive lenses on my sunglasses I said I wanted just bifocal sunglasses. They told me it didn’t exist. I knew they did as my mom has them so I called my mom got her on speaker and then - what do you know??? They change their story. Yes, they exist but it would be a lined bifocal. I asked to see an example of the lens.They said they could not show me one because they didn’t have one. I said well that’s what I want for the sunglasses I want lined bifocal I do not want the progressive lens.Then I was told I had to have the progressive lens because my regular frame was also a progressive lens. I knew they were liars at this point and not interested in my health or safety. I could not see out of those sunglasses and it made me physically ill (nauseated) from trying to wear them to get accustomed to them.They went so far as to tell me I had to wear the sunglasses around the clock to get accustomed to them.They said I had to wait until the regular frames came in and I would get an eye exam. It took another week before the other glasses came.I sent a message to text to confirm it was okay to come get my 2nd glasses. They knew I required an eye exam/prescription check.I got there and I had the same issue in the regular frames - the distance was distorted so they obviously messed up my prescription somehow.Instead of checking my prescription that day they told me I needed to schedule an appointment. Incredulous!!!I chalked that up as yet another lie.How many times do they want you to stand there and be lied to?I told them to return the glasses I will go somewhere else I’m not playing their games. They changed their story and said they could get me in the next day. The reality was it was planned in multiple conversations and in writing for me to get my prescription check on the next visit and now they wanted to push it out.They have a 30 day return policy so they try to push you outside of the window once they make an error so you can’t return the glasses.I just needed glasses to let/read me see without distorting my distance and making me ill.These people also became rude when I pointed out how they lied.I returned the glasses but they did not issue my full refund - they did not refund the 1 year warranty so I am disputing that with my credit card company.I have paid for an eye exam I can’t use. They performed an extra test not covered by insurance to get additional money. All total I’m still out about $75 not counting the loss of my 2020 vision benefits.They refuse to restore my benefits after they failed to carry out their agreed upon steps of their process.Thankfully I documented this in writing, I have a witness to their lie (my mother) and I got my benefits administrator involved right way and they had called Pearle and Pearle told them (benefits) they were going to perform a prescription check upon my next visit. Everything is documented with dates. Avoid at all costs. Truly shameful as I liked the doctor, he seemed genuine, and I don’t know how it went to hell.
I would rate them ZERO stars if that was an option. Had my checkup and wanted to replace the lenses in my current frames. After almost 3 weeks of being without my proper Rx, I was called to say they were ready. I tried them on and couldnt see anything out of one eye. Clerk could not find record of last exam, up to the point of saying that maybe I had my exam done elsewhere as it was not in her system. Finally the Dr. had to get it off of his computer. The clerk who put the Rx into the computer put a 5 instead of 0.5. Now I am stuck without my glasses for another 3 weeks or more to fix THEIR mistake. After paying almost $300 for lenses, I am thoroughly disgusted. This will be the last time I trust Pearle VisioAFollow up: Got the new lenses. Could not read street signs while driving. Went back and asked for my money back. They could not refund because they had already made 2 pairs of lenses (one of which was definitely THEIR mistake). Finally got them to put my old Rx back in, so I am out $270 and have the original Rx that I went in to update in the first place. While there, I listened to another lady complain that she had been there EIGHT times in the last 12 months to try to get her glasses right. They were going to charge her extra because it had been over a year since her original appointment. Obviously, she decided to go somewhere else.

It was my first time coming in for an eye exam in almost 10 years and also my first time coming into Pearle Vision... everyone was so nice!! I dont have insurance and they went out of their way to help me get taken care of! The doctor was so nice. He took the time to explain everything to me and make it very comfortable! I ended up needing some frames and the gentleman in the front was so helpful! He helped me get a great pair and helped me with the fees and cost! I will def be back and refer people to this location! So helpful!
I sat on my glasses and they were not fitting properly. I walked in and was greeted immediately. After about 10 minutes I was walking out the door wit my glasses fitting properly. I also received a bottle of eye glass cleaner and a cleaning cloth. Every employee greeted me at some point. Everyone was very friendly and I was treated with care, kindness and respect. Thank you!
Made an appointment for my daughters to be seen on a Tuesday. The appointment got scheduled for the following Thursday. Before I made the appointment I asked if they took our insurance and they said they do so I continued making the appointments. Thursday morning came and we left our house and got to mall road and recieved a text saying 10 min prior to our appointment that they couldnt verify our insurance to give them a call. I called them only to be told that they dont take our insurance that some people that work there dont know exactly what insurance they take and dont take. We drove 30 min and had to drive 30 min back home, waiting my time, money from taking off of work and fuel. Not to mention my daughters had to miss their first class of school. It would have been nice to have been called the day prior so we didnt completely waste our time.
This is the best place for all of your eye care needs. Dr. Tabling and all of the employees are experts at what they do. They all make you feel comfortable, they are patient, and they are extremely helpful in making each visit your best. I cannot recommend this location more highly!
No nonsense. Got right in for exam. Returned at a later time to pick out glasses, which came in on time. Just no hassles which is the way it should be.

The Store Manager is outstanding. When I say top of the line customer service I mean it. I am driving 20 min to get to this one for service. I live 5 min from the other but the service is not the same
Had the best experience at the Florence, KY Pearle Vision. I was told about a year and half ago they were taken over by new ownership and it couldnt have been any better. The doctor and the opticians were so nice and helpful. Love my new glasses and will be a customer for life!
Doctor and associates are pretty helpful and polite. Dr. Hamilton makes the eye exam hilarious to the point where he will just make our day complete with the laughs while also doing his job pretty good! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
My husband visited over 3 weeks ago for new glasses. As of this day, they still have not arrived, nor can anyone there even give an idea of when they may come. These were well over $300 AFTER insurance. Requesting our money back to get them elsewhere.
Do not recommend this place I purchased an expensive pair of glasses from this place and they have broken twice. Flexon frames are not supposed break. This has happened twice!! First time they replaced them with no problem and was a good experience. Now we are at the second time of them breaking, and they say I have to pay for my replacement. My original came with a two year warranty, but they are telling me my warranty goes from original date, not from when they fixed the first broken pair. So I am unable to get my glasses fixed without paying. I am beyond upset about this, and I cannot see to drive myself to work. They said someone would reach out to me and still no call from them!!
This location is by far the best. Dr. Hamilton was amazing and his assistant Stacey was incredible! The whole staff and experience was awesome! This location is so much better than Kenwood.

The staff at Pearl vision has always been a pleasure to deal with. They’ve always been extremely patient, helpful and honest with me. I went in today for my annual check up with the in-house doctor, Dr. Hamilton. Because of my diabetes he recommended an extra scan up front which did cost more out-of-pocket, but, he explained why it would be a good idea for me and I agreed. My eyesight is priceless to me, so the extra cost was definitely worth it to me. It would be great if insurance covered everything every time, but, I know that isn’t realistic and I appreciate the doctor letting me know of the new technologies that are out there that can help protect my eyes. Went in on May 9th and got my eye exam and picked out glasses. Today is May21st and still don’t have my glasses. I called today and was told they probably won’t be in until this coming Tuesday!!
Dr. Tabeling and his whole staff are pleasant and professional. My husband and I went for our annual exam and with fittings and contacts for him, we were out in an hour and a half. Cant wait to get my new glasses and so far my husband loves the contacts.
Hands down the best experience ive had with an optometrist.From the moment I walked in I was welcomed and the staff was very attentive. Ive had issues with previous eyecare providers and I highly recommend Dr. Hamilton and his staff. Will definitely be a returning customer!

My daughter had her annual eye exam with Dr. David Tabeling and I couldnt be more pleased. The staff were all so helpful and sensitive to her as she was nervous about the whole situation. My niece and I both ordered prescription glasses. Two different purchases and our own contact information. We were told the glasses should be ready in 2 weeks to 10 days. After 21 days, I called and was told both mine and my nieces glasses had come in 2 WEEKS AGO. When I asked why I wasnt notified, I was told they called and my phone was disconnected (lie and never) and that they left a voicemail on my nieces vmail. (never happened) I suggested to the manager that he ask the associate who made the notes on the account. I was told that there was no way of knowing who did it because they just write it on a piece of paper. I then asked why a follow up call wasnt made after no response for 2 weeks. He said people usually go on vacation and wont call back for a while, so why call them? Pearle Vision at Jungle Jims sat with my prescription glasses that cost me close to $500.00, in their drawer for over 2 weeks. The same thing and excuse was given about my nieces glasses.... 2 separate accounts/customers. That is not a coincidence. That is a horrible system and bad management. I will never go back to Pearle Vision.
This makes our second and last visit to this location. The doctor was out at a soccer game and they had a fill in. I sat in the room while she went through drawers looking for what she needed. My wife received her contacts after her exam and she couldn’t see out of them. It has been 7 days and I’m hoping they ordered our glasses and contacts after we spent a grand in there. I say this because instead of putting info in a computer the doctor wrote it on paper for reasons I forget what she told me due to frustration. We’re on the hunt for a new optometrist. The positive? The representative fitting and helping pick my glasses out. She should go to a company that fits her good service.
The people couldnt be nicer. Last year about a month after we had just purchased a new pair of glasses for my daughter a kid at school threw a basket ball at my daughter hitting and breaking her glasses thankfully except for a small scratch on her eye she was all right but her glasses were broken. I called to find out what we would need to pay to replace and they offered to let me purchase the warranty on the glasses that had not done before so that my total charge so much less then a full replacement and since they had a frame in the store they were ready for her the next day. I am so thankfully for all their help.

Replying to the review about me down below. The review under “awesomelyaj” is completely one sided. This customer was rude from the very beginning he had walked in. Keeping in mind I was a new employee here at the time and in certain situations you are not familiar with, you tend to get a bit scatter brained. After all dealing with someone’s vision is not the easiest and you don’t want to just speed through a customer as you are trying to care for them. Telling me to “go get a coffee” and “go take a break” after I had mixed up things with his order was extremely rude and insensitive statements to say. This is not the way to treat employees/people in general who are just attempting to help you.Aside from the bias review, the staff and doctor here are amazing as I still go back here for appointments. EVERYONE who works here takes pride in caring for each individual customer and I would not go anywhere else. :)

I am currently sitting in here waiting to pick up contact lenses. It is approaching 30 minutes. This is ridiculous. It takes literally 5 seconds to walk to the cabinet and grab my contacts. Unbelievable...
Mediocre at best. I came here by mistake when I got it confused with my normal eye care provider that starts with an L. Wasnt warned that the contacts I was prescribed had to be specially made and would take almost a month. Decided to get a second opinion from normal eye doctor and paid out of pocket, still better than here.

Very nice people and a very positive staff.
Dr. Hamilton gave me a diagnosis of macular degeneration and told me to have a picture taken of my eyes. He did not tell me there was a $50 charge until afterwards. He neglected to give the bifocal/reading test which I needed.
Optometrist was super funny, and everyone there was incredibly helpful. Thanks!
Dr Tabeling helped me in a crisis when I accidentally got a chemical in my eye. He got me in at the last minute and then got me in and out. Saved the day!!
The Sears optical is not closed, it just changed names .pearl vision, but still have the same doctors.👓🕶👍☺
