I love flea markets and vintage stores, we probably spend more money at them than we should. We tried to go in and we all had masks on (other than our baby) and we are vaccinated. We where told babies are not allowed in the store. So sad. Looked like some cool stuff in there. Thats ok, we will go another location that is more family oriented.
One of my regularly-visited and favorite shops in Fayetteville, and a consistently high quality and wide-ranging secondhand market compared to others in the area. The folks there are always courteous and helpful. Over the past months, its been a pleasant afternoon escape for those willing and humble enough to accept the proprietors terms to help mitigate her health risks. While thats apparently a lot to ask of some, it has never been too much to stop me from shopping there. I look forward to plenty more treasure hunts in the future!
I absolutely LOVE this store! The owner and employees are wonderful people that care deeply for their community. They’re taking necessary precautions to keep them and their customers safe through a pandemic - no easy feat! Great selection of items at fantastic prices. Highly recommend!
Such fun vintage finds, cozy atmosphere, and a caring staff who values their community (& their health and safety throughout the pandemic). Vintage Clothing, records, lots of decor & jewelry, and great prices!
The staff here is mind mindbogglingly rude. This isnt even about their mask policy (which I abide by, its not an issue) but you cant ask them about ANYTHING without getting some sort of snappy response. There are so many better vintage shops/flea markets in the area. I recommend Fayetteville Funky or taking a trip to Prairie Grove, with their numerous shops run by friendlier folks.
I love this shop! This is not your average flea market. No junk! Just cool vintage, antique and unique items. I’ve been in three times, just in the last month, for one of a kind gifts. They also post a lot of stuff online and offer curbside pickup, so you can shop from your couch, or wherever, if you follow them on FB and IG.
I love this store! One of my favorite pieces in my house came from here. I love the wide variety of booths. Great presence on Instagram and Facebook so you can see the latest additions to the store. Such a fun shopping experience.
Hands down, the best jewelry selection. I go here for all my gifts. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to be such a lazy and sad individual. Who can’t follow simple rules for a company’s policy. At least they find validation leaving reviews for small business. 10/10 I love this store.
In response to the owner, it’s not about the masks (although I’m not surprised you just assumed this, since you seem to start and end your day with a high pitched rage about this single issue.) It’s about the overly aggressive way you deal with your customers. You just come off as a very angry person. I don’t see any passion for vintage. All I see is someone throwing fits and calling names on Instagram and printing off little frothy vindictive signs to post on your door about the people you hate. I think you should just take a step back and examine the image you’re projecting of yourself. You don’t have to agree with people about masks or whatever. Just try to be a kinder person. That’s all.
I freaking love this vintage treasure! I have found multiple items that I adore! Also, fantastic stickers!
I have been shopping here for years. I’ve also recently witnessed people trying to enter without a mask despite her multiple signs stating masks are required. Upon being reminded that masks must be on your face to enter, I’ve seen people become enraged and sit in the parking lot to leave bad reviews even though many of them never entered or actually shopped at this store. Ignore the bad reviews. They are oppositional defiant people that try to destroy the livelihood of people trying to keep themselves and others safe. This store is FABULOUS. The inventory is constantly refreshed and well curated. It’s a must see shop and you won’t be disappointed (unless you’re an a$$hole about wearing a mask).
A few weeks ago, I came across In Retrospects Instagram post showing a pair of cow print pillows they had in their store. I did a screenshot and sent them to a friend in Texas, who shares my love for cow print, just so he could admire them, too.A few minutes later, he told me that he contacted the store, purchased them for me, and they were ready for pickup... as a happy gift. Thanks, Jack!I had never been in the store before, only admired their goods online. The pandemic has kept me home for the most part, but now I had an excuse to visit their store. As I approached the front door, I noticed that they seem to be very serious about the pandemic, with sanitizer at the door, mask required signs, and encouraged social distancing. This put me more at ease. I appreciate that and wish I could give one more star for that reason. They had my pillows ready for me, but I took some time and checked out their store. That place is a plethora of unique goodies and I was quite impressed. The prices are reasonable and fair, and if I had more time, I probably would have come home with a ton of stuff. I only wish I would have made it to their store sooner, particularly before Christmas. I definitely will be returning.PS I absolutely love the pillows. They go with my decor perfectly and are great quality. Iris was a little hesitant at first (see photo) but she has since warmed up to the pillows that kind of look like her.
Vintage shops have been my happy place during this pandemic. I appreciate how In Retrospect cares about their employees and customers by enforcing public health measures. Thank you!!
The manager or whoever works there is a true Karen.. overly aggreasive about the mask and YES it does take away from the experience. The stuff they have is fine and prices are ok, but I would not spend my money there.
Super cute flea market with interesting items. The staff were really friendly. It was a great place to browse.
Came back to buy something and they could not even get off the phone let alone look up acknowledge me. Not real willing to go back I want to spend my money where customers are appreciated and could acknowledge sorry urgent call. But did not sound like it
I love supporting small businesses that enforce proper pandemic responses. Thank you for always providing a great selection and caring about your neighbors!
This is the best place in town for all those things you can’t live without. I always find the staff friendly and inviting, like most places you get what you give.
So relieved to finally find a safe place to shop for secondhand goods that cares deeply for its customers and community during a pandemic ❤️
We came here for the first time and we went to walk in with our 5month old daughter and the lady opened the door to tell me she wasn’t allowed in and then slammed the door on my face. There was absolutely no reason for her to close the door in my face and rudely say “she’s not allowed in here” because she wasn’t wearing a MASK. A FIVE MONTH OLD BABY.
Have been here many times and always find wonderful and unique items at good prices. They have been quick to respond when I have questions and always helpful.
We love this place! Grateful the owners are taking Covid precautions to keep everyone safe.
Love this shop, find something fun every time I go!
This place has the coolest stuff. Im in love
Very nice lady sold us a beautiful vintage couch.
I am not a native to Fayetteville, but I work here quite often and thought that I would explore some of the vintage shops around town. The first shop I found was this shop. Upon my arrival I immediately noticed the many flags and signs on the windows talking about how inclusive this business is. However, I was very disappointed. Considering the obvious moral standers this company is attempting to promote, I was very disheartened when I was greeted rudely at the door by a female employee. She did not speak to me, did not say welcome, not one word and shoved a box of masks in my face before I could even pull mine out of my pocket. I politely said thank you to which she again did not address with any salutation. For a company attempting to include all members of society and portray inclusion and kindness, they sure dropped the ball. I do not recommend anyone visit this subpar vintage mall.
I have been coming to In Retrospect for years and I have to say, over the last year especially, I really appreciate how covid conscious the owners are. I appreciate that they are still adhering to guidelines, enforcing mask mandates, and doing what they can to keep their customers and their vendors safe. Because of this I will forever be a life long customer! ❤️
This is just the cutest place! So many treasures!
Some cool vendor booths and the store is clean. However post covid, its a weird experience entering the store. You have to be buzzed in, I guess to regulate the number of people in the store, and they are very strict about face coverings. It HAS to be a cloth face mask, they will refuse service if you are wearing a clear face shield. Anyway, if you enjoy scrutiny and inspection upon entry, its worth a quick stop! 🤙Also if you have long hair, a beard, or perhaps even radiate big dong vibes the guy behind the counter will follow you around the store and watch you on the camera.
Staff was very rude and unprofessional. If I could give zero stars, I would. Very disappointing experience.
Id give 0 stars if I could. Owner is rude, unprofessional, and a coward. Threatening children and harassing within her business.
I have managed, sold as a vendor and shopped at a lot of flea markets. This by far one of my favorites. It is always well stocked and a fun place to shop. Theres something for everyone. I appreciate that in the time of Covid, the owner practices safety precautions for her customers and staff.
I like shopping here. The people are always nice.
Could not look into the store because the building was plastered with so many Mask Required signs.......warnings about children........etc....etc.....This isnt 2020 and we didnt get vaccinated so we can continue to wear our masks in ridiculous locations......I suggest the business relocate to California.....Heres a response to your reply......if I rented a booth there I would demand my money back. The market right up the street has mask optional.....some wore them some didnt....its called a personal choice.....we shopped and spent money there.....we didnt at your store.....we are not alone.....
Nothing to look at there and the lady at the counter was rude to my mother.
Amazing Thrift Shop! I always leave with something interesting🖤 I especially love they are looking out for our children and out for us by enforcing wearing masks properly and not allowing young children in the store! Thank you so much!
This is an unbelievably beautiful shop with everything from vintage glassware, antiques, jewelry, clothing and SO much more... and VERY reasonable prices make it an even more enjoyable shopping experience. Highly recommended!!
My absolute favorite place to shop for vintage in NWA. The vendor selection is top notch, with the booths being orderly and easy to browse, and you are more likely to find quality vintage here. Prices are very reasonable. My favorite vendor, hands down, is Olive Ave Trading.
My experience was degrading, locked doors, mask assuming that I have not been vaccinated! What do you want to do see my card and have your employees been vaccinated? That seems like a risk also.
Way over priced for used items.
Love this place!
👎
Cute little shop, something for everyone!
Awful mask policy
Terrible selection.
I love this store. I loved it before I had a booth there. I have trouble not buying stuff from my savvy fellow vendors. They come up with great stuff. The owner runs a tight ship. It is clean and well organized and it is an incredibly convenient stop in mid-town. Great place to spend an hour or twenty minutes. Come by and see us. It is a friendly group.
Very nice store
No mask enforcement
I visited this place for a co-workers open house. All of the staff were great, and the prices were very reasonable. There are hundreds of hidden treasures for anything from Christmas gifts to home decor.
Such a unique place! Always find something good!
Half of a store is service which is why im only giving it 3 stars. amazing selection of vintage clothing but lacking in customer service. employee in front only said hello because we said it first. brown people friendly scale: 5 out of 10 (not outwardly rude but apathetic)
Awesome place a real treasure hunt, love the atmosphere.
From out of town brought a pencil sharpener ele old they didnt have a pencil to try took to place were Im staying and it doesnt work at the shop now guy let us in he remembered us but no refunds all sales final BS dont go there I will never be back and I visit and shop these stores 2 times a year
Bought an electric vintage pencil sharpener yesterday. I asked if it worked and the cashier pluged it in but didnt have a pencil. I said Id try it at home. It doesnt work so I brought it back tge next morning, and was told by the same man no returns! Its not posted, but ge refused to return our money. Poor customer service!!
Found a cool 1940s lunch box...Ill keep coming back
Fun place to shop! Many treasures here.
I always find something fantastic to take home....and Sam the bird is always a treat to see!
Nice staff
Wide selection, awesome employee (I think she owned it), reasonable prices. Will definitely be back!
Clean store rude cashier
This is an ok flea market and also has a good record selection.
Its a store with things in it
We bought some cups and the girl working the register rang them up wrong and when we confronted her about it she threw the money on the counter and was rude. We will never go there again. Terrible business manners.
Always something good! Great prices
Great place to check out.
Awesome little place!! My first time there today!! Great prices and great items!!
I went inside this flea market for the first time around 2:30 in the afternoon & I’m never going back. I walked in, the woman working didn’t say hi, or acknowledge or even look at me whatsoever, although she surely said hi to customers that came after me. She would get up from behind her desk, so errands around the store, while making small talk with customers, STILL no word to me, NOTHING. Eventually she went back behind her desk, then I purposely stayed right in her view “looking” at items, thinking she would ask me if I needed anything, STILL I’m treated like I’m invisible. Eventually I was so frustrated/uncomfortable that I just left. It’s been awhile since I’ve went to a business and was ignored so horrendously. Mind you, I am a younger person of color, not the typical customer in a flea market....But nonetheless, that was one of the most uncomfortable situations I’ve experienced lately; after spending a good 20min in the store no way was I going to purchase ANYTHING after being ignored so grossly.
Awesome place to shop for unique items
Nice little place to antique shop
Lots of great items.
So much stuff! Wow!
This place has brooches out the wazoo!
We live flea markets
Most stuff overpriced
Always smile, get giddy then just shop.
