I was skeptical passing by all these years. But I needed coffee badly and gave this place a shot. Super good pour over and awesome atmosphere.

This is an amazing place to meet up with friends for coffee, with tables or couch options you will be conforms no matter your needs!! The coffee is also amazing, but step out of your norm and try their seasonal options you wont be disappointed!

Its extremely clean, great customer service and they have a large variety of drink options.

So happy they offer Crossaint sandwiches now! They close at 1 but they are perfect for lunch! Chai tea latte is also very tasty!

Great place to go for some quiet while working,but not much of a beverage or food selection 3 or 4 items of food choices the 2 times when Ive been in not long after they have opened. I had the hemp oatmeal it was good but more of a selection would bring this review to 4 stars. The staff was nice and helpful.

First time, went with a friend, and it was pretty cool. Helpful, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, menu with prices in clear view, quick service. Best part: yummy coffee that didnt cost me a liver and a spleen. Plan on going back.

Dude. This place is amazing. My wife and I nearly cried it was such a good experience. The waffles are incredible and the pour over and latte were top notch. The atmosphere is very modern and swanky with comfy seating.

I should start off by saying that I work at Detour currently. However, before working there I had been a few times and was able to experience the uniqueness that is Detour. My husband had been a few times before me and could just not stop talking about it so I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed! Not only is the coffee top-notch and the waffles spectacular, the atmosphere is wonderful. There are several different events to participate in throughout the week and a whole community to immerse yourselves in.

The food was awesome, I got a vegan wrap and my husband got a Pacific Coast Hwy-the portions were big enough that he was actually full after eating! I also like that the feeling of being full was a good one-not a greasy gross feeling. We also each got a coffee (almond latte & pour over)-amazing. Before now, we would have to drive to Raleigh for great coffee--so glad to find a closer place!I really love that the people there are also trying to help out the community using their shop as an outlet. I will definitely be going more often!*The google maps photo is extremely dated. There is a brand new building and it is beautiful!

This place is pretty nifty. Love the the decor. Love the service. Love the accessibility to plugs and WiFi. The venue has a variety of seating arrangements to suit any mood or preference.I recommend their Pour Over cup of coffee - patience, in this case, is a virtue and totally worth it. So far Ive tried three of their coffee varieties and Sumatra has so far been my favorite of the six options.Their Grilled Cheese and Road to Honolulu are both excellent and the waffles are awesome. Theyre Potato Salad, however, quickly gets old after a couple of bites. Doesnt fully wow me, but again, it isnt your supermarket deli quality stuff.The ingredients all seem very fresh and the atmosphere is perfect as a regular hang out for friends, studying and board game enthusiasts. Kudos to Allen (the chef) and the rest of the staff.

OMG!! This place is fantastic! I am just visiting and have been Jonesing for my regular place back home and this place is a great sub!

The people of detour are fantastic - so friendly and welcoming. I usually get the chai tea and a waffle. Only downside is that when their initial chef left the waffles definitely lost the awesomeness. They are still good, just not omg you have to try this!. They now also offer some goodies from a local bakery which are very tasty.

As always, food and service were excellent. Tends to be expensive so we save for special occasions. We went for our anniversary and they went out of their way to make us feel special.We will be back!

I saw this place when I was driving to school recently and I was immediately interested in it. I read about it online and I thought the focus (eco-friendly, not for profit, bringing community together...ect.) of the coffee house was great so I decided to try it.This place looks very nice on the inside and outside & the people were very friendly. I thought today would be a good day to try it and brought my boyfriend and daughter. The first thing that we noticed was that there arent many options. My boyfriend and I dont eat meat so there was only 1 option on the menu for us to choose from (Bike Path with Feta- $7.50). I thought it was okay & my boyfriend really liked it. Im not a huge fan of hummus though so maybe thats why. My daughter got the chocolate waffle. I expected a regular sized waffle, but it was pretty small (no bigger than a circle you can make with your pointer fingers and thumbs) and it was $3.50. Meh.. I also got the iced coffee ($2)---Terrible.. It looked like sweet tea when I first received it & was very bitter. I tried to doctor it with sweetener and creamer but there was no saving it and I ended up leaving it mostly full. We tried the espresso ($2) as well, it tasted very bad but did its job and gave lots of energy so I guess no complaints. Overall, I wont go back.. Not enough stuff there for me that was enjoyable.
