I went in with my mom just to grab a couple of things that I liked! When I went in no one greeted me, instead an older woman rolled her eyes at me and ignored me while she was on the computer. Then when I needed help, she said something under her breath and helped us, condescending the whole time, mind you my mother and I did nothing wrong. She began to speak to her employees rudely too, one of them looked like they were about to cry. When we finally went up to the counter to check out, again, with an attitude, she told us she is taking us outside to check out. Ill never come to this hot topic again, the one in Smithfield is better and I never have a problem when going there. One star.

Browse around the store for a little bit with my daughter. Seen the sign that said buy one get one free for the clearance items so my daughter picked two items, both items were the same price. When we got to the cashier to pay I noticed that the clearance did not ring up BOGO so I politely ask the cashier if the two items were on sale for BOGO, she stepped away talk to her manager came back and proceeded to tell me it was buy 3 get 2 free. Even though thats not what the sign said but I didnt want to make a big deal about it and be a Karen so I just told her no thank you Ill just pay for what I have. I handed the cashier $20, then she rudely slap my change on the counter and held my bag in front of my face for me to take it. I looked at her a little confused because I didnt understand why she was being so rude. But still politely said thank you have a good night to which her response was yep you too. Maybe she was having a bad night or something or was just ready to go home. I worked retail my whole life so I get it, but still the attitude was very unnecessary! Probably wont be visiting the store again.

I was a regular at hot topic even after my experience with seeing a mouse and the employee swinging at it with a broom and trying to kill it but my last straw was when I came from work to pick up my online ordered item. I gave the guy my receipt and he told me I had to show my drivers license and that my receipt didnt matter. At that moment I knew I was being racially profiled. I said the bottom of the receipt says driver license or the receipt is required for online pick up. Not to mention I was a regular who ordered online and picked up my items. Once I showed my id the guy then said see its good I double check to make sure no-one can just come in and take someones stuff. I know exactly what that meant. He meant a black person coming in the store and stealing. I actually had the same guy refuse to check me out and instead check out an employee and get loud with my family member when she questioned him. There was two areas for the line with signs on the floor but apparently he decided that he declared our side the wrong side . Employees served first? Yes I reported to the manager but see...I have complained on the same two guys for discrimination for years since I could remember hot topic opened and yet these two nasty prejudice unprofessional men are there. So Hot topic will no longer get my business. I suggest complaints to be made to the corporate office not the manager. They are too laid back, discriminatory and unprofessional.

Pretty much like any other Hot topic dirty kind of dingy exactly what youd expect from any Hot topic about a belt from there its a good quality and I enjoy it

The employees were nice and the place was organized but it is no where near like it used to be in any way. I couldnt find too many metal band t-shirts which was always a goal to find a new crazy band shiet. They didnt have a lot of what I used to look for in there anymore. It used to be a dark store for those of us who are looking for the dark metal things, not the pop/rap bands.😥💔

Even as a father of teens I enjoy going into Hot topic. Along with my kids I enjoy anime, music, comics, and all sorts of pop culture so it gives me a chance to bond while shopping with them.

I was their about 2 weeks ago and I lost my plugs and had no idea what size I needed i was at a 9/16 and needed a 00 to start back up again EVERYONE was amazing I think the guy that helped me was Leo but every employee was nice and helpful I always love going in and ALWAYS have a very plesant experiance

When I went there it was absolutely magical. Maybe it’s because I’m a huge anime fan, but that place was absolutely beautiful. They had a lot of varieties in the store, ranging from Clothes to simply merchandise. 100000/10.

I have never had a bad experience here. There are always lovely people around and I always stop here when Im at the mall!

We just left the store and there was an active shooter incident at the cross creek mall. It was not life threatening to us as the shooter was only after 1 person. However the employees cared so much for the customers and handled the situation amazingly even when they did not know what was going on. All of them did not crack under-pressure. They deescalated the situation, provided information as they got it, and provided chairs and offered snacks for people while we were on lockdown. In my honest opinion all of them deserve a fat raise. This happened at 6:30pm today. Great job and thank you so much.

Very friendly staff, great selection of stuff. Fair warning, you may need to ask them to order plus sizes, as they usually sell out before other things do. Also, its just a bit cramped, so if youre claustrophobic, beware.

Its super cramped in the store. But thats pretty much all Hot Topics. You have to walk sideways to get anywhere. Theyve been changing for a while, less rock/metal shirts and more rap and pop shirts. The staff is always polite and helpful.

So many off the wall things to choose from kids were with me that day and they loved all the shirts and character items that this store had all over the place.

The customer assistance was amazing! Especially getting things off the top racks here, if you need help with anything they are very kind and dont have attitudes when it comes to that. Cant find your size in the store? Dont worry theyll order it for you online at the front desk! Love this store!!

Anime at its finest

A lot of great things!!! But they say they cannot say when they will get products in stock, yet I waited before the store opened for 3 days and there was like nobody waiting on the days the product was not in stock. But the morning I waited for them to open and the product WAS in stock there was a long line and they passed out tickets... Hmmmm. Those people somehow just knew???

Worked here during seasonal 2018 and have been coming to this location since I was a preteen. The staff is amazing and dont be put off by their suggestive selling, they have to do it. Always some sort of deal going on and if you have some credit and think you can qualify, definitely apply for the HT Credit Card. Worth it. Especially if you have people to buy for during Christmas time. 👏👏👏 the store is as clean as it can possibly be. Try going during the week around open time to 3pm. Those are the slow times so you can shop in peace. 👌🏻

Normally I would give 5 stars but how come I talked to an employee yesterday about a item I wanted to see if they had it in the store. She tells me yes then I ask if they have it on sale like they do online and she tells me they will honor the price they have listed online. So go in today the next day get it and the guy ringing me up says that he doesn’t do that and he doesn’t know who told me that.

Tell my why employee P, Henry 124785 made us go to our car to get our id just to purchase a small $6 keychain? This is the mall. We had to walk all the way back to our car in order to get him to swipe our card. This moron didnt do it to the people in front of me and they had shirts, jewelry along other things. Im positive he did it for the hell of it. He had this nasty attitude with us. Not to mention he claimed a transaction couldnt be completed without getting our full name, number, address and name. I regret not walking out when I had the chance. You work to earn my dollar. I shouldnt have to bend backwards for you.

I wish they had more options for older anime figurines

A bit cramped, and often crowded, but a good place to go to find gifts for someone between the ages of 12-18, or for an undercover cop pretending to be a middle/high schooler. Helpful staff there that are often happy to answer any questions.

Stood for 5 to buy nail polish, there all standing in the corner talking and ya they saw me, no help. Needles to say I didnt buy anything because there staff didnt want to sell anything.

Staff is always so helpful. If they do not have what you need or want they will order it for you. Love going in there.

Staff is always very friendly and trying to help you find what your looking for. They often post on facebook and Instagram any new arrivals that they have in which is nice. They usually get the new pops in pretty fast as well.
