Absolutely flawless experience! Normally when you go to a dealership it takes 5-6 hours but here I was in and out in 2 hours and it went by so quick, I was never left just sitting there for more 5 minutes at a time. Whole process was so smooth and everyone had a specific job that made it seamless. Michael helped me understand every step and he was wonderful to work with. 10/10 would shop here again!

Randy my car salesmen was fantastic. He did not push me to buy a car, he didn’t try putting me in something more expensive that was outside of my budget. He was extremely professional he got me the jeep compass I wanted in a very fast and timely manner he was able to get my payments down to something I did not expect and on top of that he kept in touch with me even outside of work hours to make sure I was getting what I wanted. The Staff was extremely helpful, professional, and patient. Emails and texts were replied to in a timely manner. We were not pressured into buying other incentives or use their financing. We never felt rushed into the purchase. Because we were travelling in from out of town all of the paperwork was ready for express checkout and it took less than 30 minutes to be on the road. I purchased a 2019 Infiniti qx50 . A recall was not completed. The vehicle I purchased on September 24 had 25 customer complaints that was in the stack of papers at signing, and I didn’t look at every page. This really concerns me. The radio goes off and on. Only one key works. My mistake, I thought all 2019 vehicles had navigation, so I assumed. I am now looking for another vehicle

Purchased a 2008 Cadillac DTS in 2011. Price booked very good. Something told me to purchase the warranty, which I did. Good choice because the car spent many days in their shop for different electrical things. The warranty stood strong having to only pay out the deductible. But still had the vehicle in the shop more than I expected or wanted.

My dad had ordered a Cadillac CTS from the Carmax website that was located all the way in Bristol Tennessee and had it shipped to this location. It had showed up 4 days earlier prior to the date they had given us which was on Tuesday, we were scheduled to get the car Saturday. Somehow, when the car showed up, the machine to inspect the cars went down and our car couldn’t get inspected which means it could’ve been maybe a week or week and a half of getting our car even though we were told Saturday. We were all upset and mad cause we had gotten our hopes up. We went to the store and explained our situation and this manager I’m assuming named Ryan walked up to my dad because he seen he was very unhappy and told my dad that he would go someplace else and get it inspected on his break just so we can get our car. 2 hours later, he calls us and says that our car is ready! Ryan went above and beyond to make sure that we were able to get our car that we were promised. The customer service was amazing and honestly, I wouldn’t go anywhere else to get a car! Carmax is the best! Thanks Ryan!
Went relatively smoothly. Everyone was extremely nice. The only issue is Im still having an issue with a tire sensor that was suppose to be taken care of. Left messages but have not been contacted back.

First of all I found a car at a price that was cheaper than I found similar cars at Vroom and Carvana and the experience was quick and easy. I was impressed by the systems they had in place as well as the friendly service. Would highly recommend.
They are easy to work with but I did receive my car dirty on the inside. They will definitely shine the outside but barely touch the inside. Its difficult to get a service appointment. I’ve purchased two cars from this location. Both times the transfer times were ridiculous due to the car arriving at this location and just sitting there. (The car arrived well before the quoted time)When I would call to check on the status, I would either get excuses that it was related to the title or the inspection. They obviously don’t inspect it very well because my air filter was so dirty that acorns were literally falling out of the air filter when I pulled it out to change it. I have bought several cars at CarMax and never had this experience before. I do not recommend this location to purchase a car.
I will never come back here. I bought a car through them once and got it paid off. It was time for me to get a new car so I decided to go back thinking it would be a similar experience. I was wrong. I found a Che y Equinox online that I LOVED! I went in and got assigned to a girl there and I showed her online which vehicle I wanted to test drive. Almost an HOUR later she finally comes back and says someone has it out as a loner vehicle. And all I got was Sorry for your wait. So disappointed. Do better!! No customer service.

I’ve never had a worse experience purchasing anything online. I found a vehicle, reserved it, and spoke with a very friendly representative. Two days later I called and confirmed continued interest, as well as confirming the duration of the reservation/hold on the vehicle. I was told it would be 7 days. I called a day later (after arranging to sell my current vehicle) and was told the vehicle was no longer on hold for me.I wound up speaking with no fewer than 4-5 service call individuals and managers over the course of multiple hours and days. Another vehicle was found for me (same year and model) with fewer features at an additional $2000 cost.After many additional conversations, I wound up getting a vehicle (not the one I originally wanted) for an additional cost, but did receive “free shipping” as a result of the poor service and multiple mix ups (too many to go into).I was told it would be 21 days or fewer and they would contact me when it was ready. After waiting the 21 days within which they said it would arrive and receiving no contact, I contacted them - only to learn (after speaking with at least two different individuals) that the vehicle had been on site and ready for more than a week. In the meantime, I was without a 2nd vehicle (my wife and I both had vehicles…we both work) as we sold one of ours in anticipation of the expected arrival.We went to pick up the vehicle, they had it on another person’s name.Eventually, we worked it out. I like the vehicle and the representative at the CarMax facility was very nice…however, mistakes were made by CarMax at every turn.

This review is for Haley, I think her name is, in the service department. The ladies that you speak to at the desks once you walk into the service department. To describe her, shes Caucasian, brown hair, and she wears it pulled back in a ponytail, kinda tall in height, just in case dont have the correct name, this is what she looks like. I returned from Louisiana after two weeks of waiting to see my mothers head stone placed on her grave, so I was already sad. Found out my window stopped working in my car. Went down and didnt go back up. That added stress. I had a job interview but NO GAS once I got the car to the lot for repair. Sitting there, sad, and worried about that on top of thoughts of my mother, Haley came back in told me to come back the next day for part to be placed on window, AND she filled my tank with gas! I made it to that interview after all and got the job! So the gas burned out that day was just replaced today and my window was repaired, AND she had my car washed. So now Im smiling thruAnd tears because of whats she done. When she bought my keys to me, on my way out, she said, Good luck with your job interview ... This may be small things to you but she really made me smile inside and out because of.how great she handles her customers . She deserves this review! Thank you so very much!! 😊😊😊
Dealership was great!! Only issue was the car fax said no accidents but when I washed it the first time I could see where the fender had not been repaired as well as it could have been. Also they left overspray on the bumper where they didn’t tape it up well. I love the truck but in the end I bought a vehicle that did have minor damage and the price definitely did not reflect it. Still we had a great salesman and the experience was good. We will see if they will help me out on getting the repairs done properly.
I bought my car in April for the wiper fluid hose to never be connected, my AC replaced 24 hours after I bought it. Breaks squealing, flat tires and many more problems. The main thing I’m told is to go where my manufacturer warranty is. Why did I buy a warranty here if it wouldn’t be made right? No one is helpful, I feel like a big joke. The people here have no care in the world that I got sold a car with this many issues. I tried to use the 30 day return policy and no one told me anything about when my new car would arrive, resulting in me not able to switch vehicles. It feels like a scam and a rip off.I’m going to call corporate.
I havent actually bought a car yet, but I ordered a car to be delivered here in Fayetteville from Florida. The process was easy, the transfer fee is firm. No hidden taxes or anything like that. The price you see is the price you pay. Anyways, after I paid for the transfer, I was told that I would receive an email when the car shipped, and be updated on its journey to Fayetteville. I never received one, and its been nearly 8 days. I understand that these things take time, however I wish the communication was a bit better. So, I looked at the email I received on the day I paid my transfer fee. The status updated from In Transit to saying it was in Fayetteville. I also called yesterday and was told that the car may not arrive til the 23rd. Im kinda confused because I dont know whats going on when it says the car is here. Anyway, thats the reason for the 4 star review. Everything else has been just fine.

So given my recent experience Im under the impression they dont really wanna sell you anything unless its a quick and easy deal. Spent some time looking at a few vehicles on the lot, found one I really liked and took it on a drive.All was well but I heard something that concerned me during my time with the vehicle. I was on the fence about entertaining it but I asked their service department to take a look at it. Ever since then Ive been all but ghosted by everyone at CarMax. I had decided Id get the vehicle if service would take care of the issue should there be one.I was told by my salesperson that Id be kept in the loop serveral times but I had not heard from them in days, even after being told Id get an update... I never found out what was wrong with the vehicle, if there was anything wrong with it... or if it was even looked at at all... Its been a week.I even attempted to get ahold of the sales manager, trying to get some information so I could buy the thing. Got transfered twice only to have a salesperson pick up instead of the manager, was asked to give my name and number with a promise Id be given a call back later that day. Guess what didnt happen... Been three days since then.However there is a silver lining, found the same vehicle at another dealership, similarly equiped, 30k less miles with no noise during the drive for only $500 more, annnnd it was certified. Pretty much matched the trade offer as well. So thank you CarMax, for pushing me away, giving me the time to find the right vehicle!I blame management.
Worst experience Ive every had buying a vehicle. After them transferring the wrong vehicle they assured me I would get to get the vehicle I wanted. Waited a few days for the right vehicle and when it was cleared for me to test drive they wasted my time and told me that vehicle had been transferred and not available.🤬. Do not go to them for your hard earned money and definitely do not deal with Lanette!!! I wouldnt give them any stars but I had to to post this
Daughter purchase her first car here while stationed at Fort Bragg. After a few weeks, the throttle body went out, and today her brakes went out on her. She needed all brake pads and rotors replaced.The throttle body repair was accommodated by Carmax at no cost, however a few weeks later here we go again. We find these problems only now because she barely drives it due to her short commute within the base. She just uses it from barracks to work, and back.Moving on...Our family has purchased numerous cars from Carmax (other states) with no problem, but this Carmax seems to fail at inspecting their vehicles thoroughly and making the necessary repairs, and/or parts replacement.The brakes alone could have been caught earlier if they inspected it properly and would have prevented castrophic failure. This is not normal wear and tear consistent to a month or two of driving after purchase. This needed replacing months ago and yet they sold the car as is.Not the typical Carmax experience we usually get. Perhaps is just this store, and after $1k+ (repair cost), I cannot recommend this Carmax store.
I have to say when I went in I was hesitant because my credit is not the best but also car shopping is always so stressful but Michael P and the young gentleman that was training with him were very polite overall made me feel like my happiness was most important also went over everything with me was very clear on everything and made what is usually a stressful situation into the best experience I could have asked for. Thanks to him I left out in a Nissan Rouge that I absolutely love! And thank him for everything. Overall I would recommend anyone to choose doing business with carmax in Fayetteville.
I did an appraisal online and brought it into CarMax. They verified my appraisal by inspecting the vehicle and honored what the online appraisal said. I was shocked and excited to see a business not use that as a gimmick just to get you in the store. Very satisfied with CarMax!
Ordered a car from the car max website and everything went smooth at first a employee helped me get everything started and guided me through the process, but the next day I realized they were shipping the car to the wrong store I called them multiple times and used the online help and it got me at my location. Once the car arrived to the wrong store it sat there for 5-6 days because someone forgot to mark the vehicle as available for it to be shipped again, once they finally shipped it to the correct store I purchased the vehicle just to have to take it back the next day to schedule an appointment for repairs because the rear view mirror was broken and the car would not stop squeaking no matter what. This whole experience was just a mess and idk if I would ever purchase a vehicle from CarMax again
I am so thankful that there is a used car business that can be trusted. I think trust is the best word for CarMax. You can have confidence that all of their cars are what they say they are. From beginning to end, my experience with CarMax was good.

It was a painless process. After a lot of research we decided on a car that was is St Louis. It was shipped for a modest fee and arrived according to schedule. Give or take a day or so. We were not in a hurry so it all worked out. Made an arrangement for delivery at the CarMax location in Fayetteville NC. Could have had it delivered but thought it may be better to pick it up there. The facility there nice, clean and organized. Met our person to finalize the transaction. A very organized process i must say and only about any hour, i think. Since i dont know the exact time it had to be within my comfort zone on waiting. They keep you informed on all the steps of the process. We got the keys and off we went in out very clean car. Overall I enjoyed the experience. I like that the sales agent was able to fill all the loan stuff out at his desk. Everything was pretty much in a timely matter. When it came to signing paperwork I felt rushed. When asking questions about when my payment was do and where and how do i pay it, i was thrown a business card and told to call them. Overall good experience, but the paperwork/title office needs some training in customer service.
Shopping at Fayetteville CarMax was a refreshing change from traditional dealerships. I see why regular car salesmen hate on CarMax. Theres no we need your license/to run your credit/to see your trade before we give you a price. You walk in, you are greeted with a smile, and told to look around and let them know if anything interests you. Alternatively, you can do it all online. The process is transparent and painless. While Im sure it could be faster, it could not be smoother. The one thing I especially did not miss was the underhanded maneuvering that happens in most finance offices. I was offered two addons with no pressure. I took the one I wanted, and declined the other. I dont know if all CarMax dealerships are this good, but I wouldnt be scared to check another one out. Side note, I was referred here by my in-laws who have bought multiple cars and continue to...all from Amjad, who is so unlike any salesman Ive ever dealt with. If you do visit, ask for him, you wont regret it.

Wonderful experience! - We did pay cash for our vehicle, so no dealing with financing. There was a short-lived issue with getting a second key, but their service department, who was handling the two items on the vehicle that needed to be fixed, stepped right in and took care of it. (By the way, Hayle needs a raise!) She was the service person who, not only got the key, but gave us the door code that our sales person told us wed have to go to the dealership to get.
My buying process was completely smooth, in fact it was one of the easiest car buying experiences Ive ever had. They had the appraisal done on my vehicle in no time, they offered me a good price so I decided to shop their lot. I found my 2017 Audi A4 and took it for a drive, I was hooked. My salesman, Mitchell, was very efficient. The Personnel in the back office got all of my paperwork filed in a very timely manner. From beginning to end I was out of the dealership in about 2 hours. They are upfront about all of their fees and dont beat you over the head like the other dealerships trying to get you to buy extra things. They asked me once if I wanted a service plan and I said no and I never heard anything about it ever again, perfect. I will definitely consider CarMax for my next purchase as well. Great job guys!

I took my vehicle in for service for the a/c to be charged and emergency break to be adjusted. My car has been at the carmax service center going on three weeks. When I called about the issue they told me to bring it in that same day, but its been almost three weeks and it hasnt been looked at. I was told they had to order a part, and then I was told that there wasnt a part on order? I only had my car a week and its starting to be a little frustrating. Im being patient because that all I can due!!! Hostage situation???🤔
The staff at Carmax were helpful but there were a few glitches along the way. I ended up turning in my first purchased car (using the 30 day return policy) and purchasing another car instead which I now love!! One word of warning, if you do take advantage of this perk, make sure to be hyper aware of your credit during this time. I didnt realize that they basically count this as taking out two separate car loans and I almost didnt get approved for the second because my credit report was showing that I had JUST taken out a car loan for the car I was returning 2 weeks prior. I ended up with my dream car with a much higher interest rate than what would have likely been the case had I purchased it from day 1.
We were denied buying the vehicle for a broken door lock and ac issue on a Sunday. Told it needed service. So we had to wait until Monday Morning she said... Monday it wasn’t ready, Nor was it ready Tuesday morning. Car smelled like men’s cologne also, didn’t think much of it. Called and stopped in to check on it everyday to be told it hadn’t been serviced. Finally Tuesday evening we were told the price over the phone was $36.998, and that we could purchase it because it was serviced. When we get there price is $37,998 now. Told it would be quick purchase it took hours despite we were told it would be quick and brought our 5month old out at 6pm when we would have rescheduled. Signing agent was very rude. Well, we get in the car after finalizing to find the air conditioning is still not working and door lock is still broken. We make an appointment with them to fix it. They called and rescheduled and we just finally get in tomorrow from last month. Well, drove with windows down since it was hot which aired out the car to discover the terrible smoke smell! It was supposed to be a family vehicle with a 5 month old baby and my daughter and I are asthmatic! Opened the tailgate to find cigarette butts all inside the opening between the lining and tailgate. I will never shop there again or refer anyone at this point. I still have a broken car that smells like cigarettes. They lied to us and are dishonest. We’ll see if they even keep their word about fixing it tomorrow. They seem to enjoy screwing over a military family.

The purchase of a car was extremely easy. The entire staff that we dealt with was extremely knowledgeable and made the transaction easy.
Saw a car we were interested in online and went here to look at it. They greet you when you walk in, but then allow you to go look at the cars on the lot without someone following you around pressuring you. They allowed us to look at all the cars we wanted to. The purchasing process was very smooth, quick and easy compared to some other dealer I have been at. The actual price you pay for the car is very clear unlike other dealer that add 3000 to 4000 dollars in dealer fees. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because of the financing. They do not have competitive finance rates. Other dealer and the bank have rates that are 1/4 to 1/2 what they offer.

I am grateful for the level of service I received. Went up there with a pre configured offer from Capital One Auto Navigator. (For a specific car, with trade in factored into the offer). Reserved the car. Got there, presented the printed out offer. The agent was familiar with the capital one process (not typical response with mail out offers). Processed the application (only checked my credit with capital one, also not typical but that’s what I wanted). Signed the deal, within a couple of hours (they were really busy, could have been shorter). I have purchased a lot of cars in my life. This is hands down the smoothest transaction I have ever done at a dealer.

Staff isn’t great. But they know what they are doing. I purchased a Traverse but took it back. I didn’t really like it. They weren’t to excited to see me back. But I took the pathfinder I got from them back as well. It was having some problems with transmission. Hopefully, three times the charm. Loving the new Nissan I got from them. It’s beautiful.
Switched sales people every time we came in. 1 visit to sale / 1 one visit to buy a week later. Went to 4 locations versus doing online since updates and car no.s were not updated quickly. Everyone was nice but they are overwhelmed and tight on inventory. Tease action since unavailable car sat net to open inventory; was heartbreaking a couple times.
Went online and got a quote for a car we wanted to sell. Took the quote to CARMAX and after checking out the car honored the price on the quote. The process at CARMAX took about an hour and the were busy. Very satisfied with the experience.
CarMax is such a headache to buy from instead of pushing out the car as soon as they receive it they tend to hold it and do the quote on quote “quality check” for days on end without a call back. I’ve bought cars and shipped cars from everywhere but CarMax is such a terrible place to purchase from because instead of pushing the car out to the buyer they hold it for a long period of time for no reason. Terrible dealer terrible location DO NOT SHIP WITH CARMAX.
I am very disappointed in Carmax, I Brought a vehicle from carmax 2021 nice clean vehicle, well after driving this vehicle i noticed while sitting still the motor would sound like a truck. I then took it to the closest dealer, they pulled it on and apparently did a fake diagnostic on it and promised me the parts would be ordered after going back and fourth with the kia dealer for about 2 months everyone told a lie nothing was NEVER DIAGNOSTED SO I then took it back to carmax and spoke with a manager and he was very friendly polite and understanding. He got to the problem but I dont feel like I should be paying a deductible already and I havent had the car 6 months, I also feel like this problem should have been taken care of prior this vehicle being sold. I test drove the vehicle and mentioned the noise to the sales guy and he said these cars are known for the problem. So Im stuck with with paying for this when I mentioned on my test drive and no one did anything about it.😭

First of all I hate going to car lots to buy a new car. I always wonder why cant it just be like going to any other store where it is priced and you can either buy it or not. Ever went to Best Buy and tried to negotiate the price of printer paper? Of course not, they would think that you were mental.So my wife needed a new car and she wound up at Car Max. They greeted her, told her if she needed anything just to let them know then left her alone to look. She found several that she wanted information on and they linked her up with Justin and he did an awesome job.She came home and told me that she had found the one she wanted, that the customer service was awesome and would I go look at it. Please refer to my first sentence above.Regardless I went met with Justin and the on duty manager and bought the car. I wont bore you with all of the details but let me say that your customer service is stellar. The folks in the business department, service department (Thank you Janelle!) and everybody were first rate. They are to be commended.I work in Business Development and Sales for a major Defense company so I completely get it how customer service impacts customer satisfaction and loyalty. You guys have got it right. Again my compliments to the entire staff at the Car Max in Fayetteville for your dedication and customer service.
Sales associate Jermaine was awesome. The finance department doesnt work with you if you dont have a detailed paper trail with a 1099. Ended up purchasing a truck from crown for a lot less and definitely no Hassel or stress.
My car max experience was terrible; dolefully it was my second time purchasing from carmax and my fourth vehicle. The first experience was smooth and without issue, so I decided to trade in two vehicles and purchase two more. Each time I did business with carmax I had my own financing.I opted to deal with the same salesmen and everything; hoping that endeavoring the same manner of transaction and detail would facilitate the same transaction flow.I could detail the entire second experience; as it started as badly as it ended… with me frustrated and vowing to never purchase another vehicle from carmax. The process; even with having my own financing was unacceptable; as it took entirely too long. I was at carmax from 1:30 pm until 7:30 pm when I finally drove from the lot. Sales management staff was rude and indifferent to my car buying obstacles and wait time. Business office staff was impatient and condescending and I had to place more effort into the car buying experience than I desired to or should have had to… I’ve purchased four vehicles from carmax in 14 months and I’ll never buy another; in large part to the attitude of sales management staff which was reflective of the business office; as I surmise Selling me a vehicle was a carmax courtesy.
My sales person Keith was great. Any question i had he took his time to explain it. I didnt feel rushed. Now Im driving in my new car. Thank you keith you rock. Ask for sales man keith you wont regret it!

CarMax made my car buying experience super easy. The sales woman I was working with had such a beautiful personality and we zoomed right through the process. I did majority of the process online beforehand, so all she had to do was pretty much go over it and make sure everything was accurate, nevertheless, great customer service. I would buy from here again and I would definitely recommend to anyone based on MY experience.

So I live in North Carolina and paid $249 to have my car shipped from Illinois. It took 2 weeks and my car was a day late. So already frustrated it took 2 weeks to get here I went in to pick it up and they told me it was scratched and dented upon arrival because of the transporter. So they would need to fix it before giving it to which probably woulda took another week. But like I said I was frustrated so I said I just want my car now and y’all can fix it later. So a week later they called to schedule to fix my car (for free). I purchased a Cadillac XTS and wanted something comparable to that but they couldn’t guarantee it. I went in on a Sunday and they offered a Nissan Altima and I didn’t want that so I went back Monday and they offered me a Chrysler 200 which is a kid size car. I have two car seats in the back. I need more room (we have a new born so a parent needs to be in the back) and they called me the next day and said they had a sonata. I was frustrated so I said I would take whatever. Got there after work and they gave me a Kia Optima. I didn’t say anything cause I just wanna be done with the process. So it’s been 3 days so far and I’m still driving the rental until they finish my car. The delivery process needs to be tweaked a bit so people don’t Have to wait so long for a car they paid to ship. I also felt pressured into buying the Carmax warranty which I did not want but the salesman pressured me into buying it. I literally brought it so he would stop asking. He even went on to say I would not have sold you this car if I knew you wouldn’t want the warranty and I’m thinking well how well do you guys trust your car for you to say something like that. All in all it could have been a better experience but that was my experience.
Samantha was a great sale woman. We weren’t there long and this was the fastest experience we ever had at getting a car. Job well done.

Experience the car max way, no pressure to buy, they are welcome to give as much information about the vehicle your interested in, they provided all the financial info before and after and let you choose the path that best fits your budget, options galore as far as make,model,year, past history, past owners, I absolutely would recommend CarMax if you are looking for a used vehicle
In person they treat you how they should. By phone it is a completely different story, most of my interactions happened to be with females by phone and their treatment was very poorly. Put on hold to then get hung up on, I think after the second vehicle we bought from them we are going to be done with CarMax. Especially the one in Fayetteville, NC. The Carmax website said no accident but they over sprayed the scratches on the rear bumper and one rim, which they didn’t cover the brake caliper (red) and over sprayed it gray.
