Found some great gluten free beer here and the lady behind the counter was super knowledgeable about new local beer options.I found a new favorite beer and a place where they really value beer and wine knowledge
Wow Grapes and Hops! Thank you for creating an amazing and relaxing experience for me after a long day of work. Your staff was amazing and made me feel so welcome and wanted. I got a chance to check out your complimentary wine and beer tasting and took home a bottle of Italian wine that I got to try which was super smooth with nice pops of dark fruit and really was a great sipper and added so much to my red wine sauce for shrimp! It turned out super yummy and it was because of the wine that your staff had me try and recommended. Literally the lady put the bottle right into my hand and I walked out with it.I am excited to come back to Grapes and Hops soon! Their selection is amazing and the staff is as well! Definitely a must go to!
Went in to shop around for beers, wines and ciders... I was floored by their selection of good beers, ciders, sours and wine. This is definitely my new regular 👌🏽 highly recommended!
Great place, friendly staff, wonderful selection, and they do tastings. Might be my new place to hang out.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. If youre looking for something specific or hard to get they will order it for you. I love the varieties of beer they had on hand, especially the local, small batch, and boutique selection.
It pretty good and you will meet nice people .
I stopped in last week for the first time and was very pleased with my experience.I have been trying to find a specific brand of Marsala for over a year. The staff was very helpful in finding what I needed, ordering it, then communicating with me that I could pick it up. All in less than a week.I use this in many of my recipes and have missed not having it in my cupboard.Try a little in scrambled eggs! Works very well in gravies and veggies.Make sure it is the “dry” Marsala not sweet. Thanks Grapes & Hops for the “cellar” service...
Love this place, great ale selection and staff is always friendly!
Fantastic selection of unique beers across many different styles.
Staff was helpful. Selection was very interesting...
Great atmosphere and wonderful staff.
Great variety and knowledgeable people
I previously called ahead to see if they had a variety of Champagne, the lady on the phone was very friendly. I arrived 1/2 an hour later and I wasnt disappointed. The 2 people that helped me were awesome! I have not the slightest idea about Champagne to start with, and they gave me several suggestions to choose from. I will definitely be returning to buy some wine next time. Thanks!
Staff pick wines very absolutely lovely.
They had the hard to find beer I was looking for. I called and they asked how many I needed and put them in a box with my name on them. They were waiting for me when I arrived. Treated me like a 👑
They were right, they always are. The staff picks the best wine
I have made several trips to Grapes and Hops as I am attempting to brew my own beer. Without the help of the sales staff I would not know what I am doing. They are very knowledgeable and eager to share their knowledge. Whats more, there were several items I thought I needed and they convinced me not to buy so I wouldnt be wasting my money.Of course the beer selection is very good, many hard to find brands and the woman working there made some great suggestions.
The staff is nice, but the place is small and has a small inventory as far as beer goes. I dont drink wine so I cant really comment on that, but the beer is a little over priced. I can go right down the street and get the same six pack a dollar or two cheaper at Food Lion, they should do some local price comparison. I only go there if I am in a bind or want to order something special since they are only about a mile away. You would probably be better off just driving to a Harris Teeter or Triangle Wine in Southern Pines for better selection and cheaper prices. Also, I home brew and it kind of sucks that they quit carrying home brew supplies!
Walked in and Gina was very helpful and nice. Recommend a couple of different wines. She also said that on Fridays its a free wine and beer tasting so you can get comfortable trying new ones before purchasing.Overall really enjoyed my experience.
Great place for wines and beer. Wine tasting on Friday nights. Looking forward to going back.
Great beer selection, especially for IPAs. Draft and bottle/can. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Sweet owner.
I once recommended this place to all my friends. Now, I tell them to steer clear of it. I have been in the store on 3 separate occasions and called trying to have items order and I cannot get so much as a call back or an attempt to meet my request. Really sad it changed so much after moving down the street....
Wide variety of beer selection. Their wind choice is the same. Im only there for the beer.
I have been coming here to buy my mead, which is difficult to get in Fayetteville. Every time I have visited they have had exactly what I wanted. Although their space is smaller, they make up with it for their diverse selections, albeit for a slightly higher price.
Kind, helpful staff and great selection of craft beers, wine, and mead.
A nice local beer store. A small physical space, but they make the most of it. A good selection of beer and wine + a couple on tap. Stop by on a Friday for tastings.
Friendly staff.. Very informative and hospitable.
The people are awesome, and extremely helpful. They will order what you want if they can. Great selection.
Great place and wonderful selection
One stop shop for craft beer and wine. Offers free tastings, stop in, sample, and take home a new favorite.
There were three employees present, but none of them could be bothered to help us, even when we asked them for help. We will not be coming back. Ever.
So far to good, got two nice bottles for Christmas. Ill be back.
Great selection. I loved the wine tasting
For sure the best place to get fancy beers in fayetteville. A little light on the bretty/wild american sours, but a great place to get beers and wine you wont see at Harris Teeter, Fresh Market, etc.
Very nice place and people. Nice selection
The clerk was informative and even looked up the brand of wine I was looking for and came up with a substitute.
There hasn’t been one moment I’ve felt uncomfortable, unattended for, or underserved. Ever. Period.
Very helpful but needs more diversity
I love their selection of Mead!
Awesome place with a great selection! Friendly, helpful staff!!
So Far I love the staff,Especially the guy with the beard I cant remember his name. He knew a lot about brewing beer and shared some links regarding R.I.M.S set ups and helped me find Dogfish head beer. They all have been Nice and helpful. And Im Glad we have at least one LHBS in Fayetteville.Great selection of hard to find beers and wines at good prices. But for the home brewer I have some gripes and questions. Why is the yeast not stored in a cooler as it is a living product and needs to be kept fresh..The Hops lose Alpha acids at room temperature and will go stale, They too should be kept cool. And the selection of Hops is almost non existent .They just need to have more a variety brewing products available and take care of the freshness ..I love that store and appreciate it . I hope they are around for a long time. Hopefully they will relocate to Raeford Rd. one day where they would Thrive and be more competitive. Instead of Ramsey where you have to make a U-turn in heavy traffic to even visit them..
Used Bear republic Bear Tracker says they have this brewing company beer. But when I called they said they dont carry it.In response, to my response. Im changing my rating.
This is a great place to purchase fine wines and beer in Fayetteville. Buy one get one free on Fridays!!___
More expensive than places near Raleigh, Cary, and Fuquay Varina.
STAY AWAY - STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!THE COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO THEY ALWAYS HAVE IN THE SHOP KNOW ABSOLUTELYNOTHING ABOUT WINE.BUT WORST OF ALL - THEY ARE EXTREMELY OVER PRICED!I WENT IN YESTERDAY LOOKING FOR A BEAUJOLAIS, SILLY ME I SHOULD HAVE KNOWNTHAT WITH THEIR SKIMPY INVENTORY THEY WOULD NOT HAVE ONE.SO I MOVED ON TO SHIRAZ OF WHICH THEY HAD THREE. I BOUGHT THE ONE WHICHTHE CLERK SAID THEY SOLD THE MOST - 2013 SNAKE CHARMER FOR $25.WHEN I TRIED IT, I THOUGHT TO MYSELF THIS DOES NOT TASTE LIKE A $25 WINE TO ME,IT SEEMED MORE LIKE A $8 - $12 WINE. SO I GOOGLED IT AND SURE ENOUGH YOUCAN BUY IT ALL DAY LONG FOR $14.95. BUT IT GETS WORSE THE FULL RETAIL ON THE WINE IS ONLY $19 PER BOTTLE.SO TO SUM IT UP, THEY SOLD ME A $15 BOTTLE OF WINE FOR $25. NEEDLESS TO SAYTHAT WAS MY LAST VISIT EVER TO GRAPES & HOPS.
So this place has a bunch home brewing stuff which is really cool if thats something you do because Im pretty sure its the only place in town that does. But most importantly let me tell you about the make your own six pack of all independent brewers that you can get for $11. Also you get 10% off for bringing back the cardboard 6 pack carrier. They have a good bit of porters and a ton of IPAs, and I didnt really check it out because Im not into wines but they definately had a few hundred bottles of atleast 40 different brands from what I saw. Either way Im going back and would definately recommend this place.
Didnt have what I needed
Love this place
Great selection.
