The store is a grate place to find items that your home country have. But if items are not priced already they cheat you money whys, I went to get a coco butter I got it for $7.99, Then I come back and have to pay 10.99 for the same product. Their pricing on some item are not consistent and need to be labeled at all times and you risk a gamble when they tell you that a product is this much when it is suppose to be less then the price they tell you.

Morning Star is one of my new favorite places to go for natural, cultural food and authentic African clothing. I went into the store last weekend hoping to find an authentic tribal pattern. I had hope, but the ladies turned it into to faith. As soon as I showed them the pattern I was blessed with a complete wardrobe (prices were very reasonable). I enjoyed their company, left with some wonderful food and traditional Samakaka garments/accessories. Me and my family will be back! 🥰

I love Morning Star African and Caribbean Market because the people who operate it are very kind and respectful toward their customers. They are also ready to help you find items in their market that you cannot find in a friendly manner.Next, I like it because you can find products there that you do not see at other international stores.The building itself is very neat and clean.The products on the shelves are placed in a very organized manner.The employees that work there work very hard to keep the community of Fayetteville, North Carolina happy.

Staff was very helpful. It looks as though they are in the new beginnings of opening. Lets go out and support them!! I was very pleased with my purchase today. I am excited to try a fresh African Yam. It is so heavy. I received great instructions on how to prepare it. Ii will be prepared very similar to our French Fries here. I also had the opportunity to purchase 100% Black Currant juice! It is the best I have ever had and very reasonably priced as well. What an experience. If your interested in authentic fabric then this is also the place to go. The owner sells ready made garments or she may sew them for you!

Amazing woman and awesome work she does! Being from Central Africa myself I definitely appreciate and admire the authenticity of all of her work. My friends and family love her work as well. We needed an outfit tailor made for an African banquet in a different state and not only did she get the measurements from long distance but she expedited everything so we would have it on time and it was perfect! Most of all I am thankful for her faith and honesty, God is truly blessing her and her business! And the prices are the best you’ll find!

Morning Star helped me and my family to prepare for an African ball in less than 3 days. The owner was very helpful and patient with me every step of the way. She went above and beyond to find traditional/ handmade items for family and I. The on-site seamstress was a heaven sent. My family and I received so many compliments throughout the night. I cant wait until my next event. I am sure to be visiting Morning Star again!!

We love this store the owner Yeti is so sweet, every time we visit its like seeing an old family friend! They have everything!!! My husband is from Nigeria, and he finds his Nigerian comfort food away from home! They also customize dresses! Beautiful dresses! You have to come in and see!

Never jump into conclusion. When I first when over it was not welcoming due to personal issues however when I went the second time the owner was really welcoming and friendly. She is a sweetheart. And things Are great price.

My daughter and I were greeted with the best customer service Ive ever received from any store. My daughter found outfits the same day, along with getting measured. Her outfit was made overnight. This is our new spot for new designs, clothing, and more. I highly recommend!!

Waited 30 minutes after their posted hours of operations and still did not open. They can get my money when they take a professional approach to running their business.

Irrespective of the fact that it’s the only African store along the local street of Fayettevllie (Yadkin) my experience was very poor. I actually went in and ask for a particular product that I need and it was written on the wall, but the so called owner reply “if it’s not there then idk” and never bothered to assist me to find what I was looking for. I must say it’s was very poor customer service.
