The lady that sews there is very rude. I walked in and gave the greetings. She wasnt pleasant and responded nastily. As I was walking around to see what outfits she had she was watching and following me around as if I was there to steal. She was very dismissive when I was leaving. This was my second time coming here and I will never go there again. I will be looking for another African market.

This is a small business but very friendly store to visit. Great prices and the lady will take time to talk to you and give you best price for items. I bought fabric from the store and the lady made my children beautiful dresses with the fabric. Yes! They custom made. I love to visit this store. They have several unique African items and raw food to select from. Beautiful African fabric and already made outfits for children and adults.

Eki African market is a great place to go if you’re looking for great African and Caribbean food items. The owner is wonderful and easy to talk to. I enjoy going there to shop, she also has some beautiful African clothes that fit all sizes and age.

The owner herself is such a wonderful lady . She can custom made any outfits. I enjoy all the native wear and African collections I have gotten from the store. It is small family own business. Also they have African food, clothing and accessories.

Nobody was in the store during posted hours and when I arrived I called the number posted on the store door and got no answer. I even decided to text them on Facebook and I’ve yet got a response. I’m upset that I wasted time and money getting to the store for it to not even be open when it is supposed to be open. If you are a self made business then you should be in your store or have someone in your store at posted hours so there are no costumer inconveniences. You should also make sure it is easy for a customer to communicate with you about your business. It’s obvious that you have yet to solve the problem that many people are having with your business and no one will take your business seriously.

Every time I come here they are never open during the business hours that there supposed to be open. Today the time to open is 10:00 and it is now 10:32 and no one is still here. It’s really inconvenient when I live in the other side of town (Cliffdale) just to drive here for them not to be open.

Please make sure you call to confirm that someone will be in the store before traveling there. I spoke to some one via FB messenger last night and stated that I would be traveling from Raleigh (an hour) to their shop. The person stated he/she was out of town but the store would be open. I then drove an hour and called while driving to confirm the store was open today. I get a message at 12pm stating it wasnt open yet and that the person who was to open was running late. The hours posted say 9-6 on Saturday. It is now 1pm and Im still waiting for the store to open and that person is 4 hours late. Bad business....maybe I will get a great deal if I decide to waste another hour and come back!😠😠😠😠
