This place is great, JK! THEY HAVE A TON OF CDS!!!! Not much vinyl, though. I came in a week ago looking for a Cure record, and some guy with dark curly hair grunted at me and pointed to their little area of new records.
Growing up in Fargo, this place was integral to my musical journey. The curly haired fella always made great suggestions, seemed to have an encyclopedic knowledge of tunes. Guaranteed he has goods in stock you couldnt find without heading to Minneapolis or discogs. Love this place. Also, screw the other guy Ive met working the shop.
Love this place. Great selection of new and used! Always find a treasure or two, and the owner is always helpful and suggests things you might like.
I accidentally gave a 4 star review before, sorry. Great selection of indie vinyl.
While traveling back from visiting friends in Dunseith ND we stopped in Fargo to have lunch with friends. And then visited Orange Records Inc. in Downtown Fargo. I was very happy with the high quality of the used records I bought. To me they appeared to be near mint. Orange Records is not a large shop but there was a nice selection and certainly some gems to be found. I will be back.
Great place! I have never walked out empty handed.
Any record store that sells:*Sigh Cds*On-U records 10*original works from local artists*super cool tees with store logo*Lee Harvey Oswald Band on LPFreaking rules!Knowledgeable and friendly owner to boot!
Imagine being a small business owner and driving away your customers that choose to support local businesses because you’re living in fear. What is worse, fearing an illness you don’t have all the facts on, or, closing your doors because you insisted people give up their rights to shop in your store? It saddens me that I have to choose between shopping local or personal freedoms. To me, freedom is everything. We are slaves without it. Good luck to you and your communist ways.
This is the place to go if you enjoy music. Ive been going since they opened, service is 2nd to none, selection is always outstanding and its a cool, comfortable place to check out.
A great LRS Highly recommend.
Always! Top quality vinyl!
Absolutely the best place in Fargo to buy records.
This is the only place where we go to find Vinyl in Fargo. You can’t beat his prices and his honesty.
Very good selection of used records at very reasonable prices. Staff was pleasant and courteous. I dont live in Fargo, so I look forward to checking out their selection next time Im in town.
Awsome place found some amazing stuff great coustmer service very friendly staff we will be back for more Albums for sure!
Orange records is awesome!
Great selection, nice employees, and an adorable dog greeter!I like the atmosphere, its fun! (Just like a record shop should be)The selection of records exclusive to other countries (like Special Edition AC/DC Japan releases) is impressive
Really great local record shop. Lots of new and used vinyl at all prices, CDs, and other stuff like posters. Places like this are valuable and need your support!
The gentleman who runs this establishment is always friendly. The pooch is a great staff member as well. Great selection of vinyl.
He had a fair selection of LPs that were in the classic rock period. I bought 6 albums that were reasonably priced with no slips, and background noise from poor care. So they use care in buying. I will go back.
Bought a record from these guys and just about every song skipped. Took it back a few days later to see if I could get a refund or store credit for it. The guy at the counter told me he would ask his manger about it tomorrow when he was working and would have him call me. Waited a week and didn’t get a call so I went in to talk to them. The guy working (not the manager) told me it has “extensive finger damage” (?) and they wouldn’t do anything with it. Left my number again so the manager could call me and we could discuss it because this guy obviously wasn’t any help. Still haven’t heard back... The good news is that there is another vinyl shop on the opposite side of the block from them. The gentleman behind the desk was much more friendly there!
Fun place to be. Ive gotten some killer deals here. This & Mothers are the only music shops in Fargo worth your time and 💰
Poor customer service. We were not greated as we walked in. In fact I dont think they ever looked up from their computer. Never asked if we needed help finding anything specific. I love records, I own hundreds, I went there knowing I would spend $50.00 or more, but ended up leaving with nothing.
Exactly what I was looking for in a local record shop. The staff is cooler then me and the selection is top notch. Do yourself a favor and go.
My go-to record store in the area. Good selection of new and used stuff, which includes music from local bands. Also some cool shirts and accessories.
Its really to bad that who ever that works the counter wasnt so rude. Its not that they are loud mouth is the fact that they have no interaction with customers at all. Maybe they are mute? I asked myself why would you have a store and not talk to customers? The clerks almost make the customers uncomfortable with ignorance. Not cool at all.. not hipster at all. The art was killer and affordable. I would rather spend my money on eBay at least you get feedback. I guess its cool to unsociable ina totally social environment. I actually felt like killin myself fro the depressive atmosphere.Make it fast and precise when shopping there people and dont look or talk to staff or you will turn to stone!Thank god for the poster art or I would never go back to this store.
The best record store in the Fargo/Moorhead area. It has a well curated selection. Say hi to Clyde the Dog when youre there.
Cool place, has alot of older vinyl albums that I used to have back when there was such a thing as albums. Also cds and cassettes. If they dont have it they can order it. Nice to see a real music shop.
Its the best record store in the area for selection and price.
Good selection, blah enthusiasm from sales person, thank you maybe??
Terrible customer service, workers wont acknowledge you. If you ask them a question, lucky to get an inaudible mumble. Knowledge of music is questionable, selection is spotty and thats on the new stuff they like. Used selection is small and good luck finding anything good, posers!
Cool place. Great customer service
The guys are always nice and willing to have a great convo about music
I always found something interesting to buy, great place.
Awesome place, friendly staff. Will definitely visit again!
I always find something interesting here
Great selection of music, band shirts, posters, artwork, and even clocks. The owner is really cool also .
Attempted to go to this store earlier when the website incorrrctly said it was open. Reflects the responsibility I feel the store has.
So glad there is a shop like this in Fargo. Awesome selection of music and merch especially for the CD/Vinyl collectors.
This place is great. They have a large selection and the store has a great vibe.
Good place to get music disks
A great shop with a great pup. A decent selection of local and obscure artists, so its definitely not the kind of place for a general pop music lover to shop.
Lovely collection. Right down to my nostalgia
Good selection of vinyls, great atmosphere.
Soooo many records to go thru. Nice selection of vintage posters
Rude employee didnt even offer to check to see if they had something just said oh I just know we dont have it. Bad customer service, Id give 0 if I could
Best record store in town.

Not the widest selection and the prices were a tad high.
