Well, the cashier whos been working for Safeway a long time, was polite as always. Unfortunately, there were issues with a sealed product lacking all its contents, bleach which has an opened seal, and three items rang up at higher prices than what was printed on the shelves. I went back yesterday to speak with a manager who was very helpful and apparently refunded my purchases to my card, but when I checked out all my transactions, there was no sign of it!

I love the fresh fruits from Safeway 😊😋 they have a lot of things for all your needs. I love the decorations for mothers day. They follow covid guidelines.

Ive bought their 24 oz fruit bowls every week and now, those 24 oz $5 fruit bowls are $6.49! Can you believe it?! You save $.49 with their card, but wed save $3 if wed but three of those 24 oz bowls before. I cant believe those bowls went from $4 to $6 (with card)! Im now buying their 40 oz fruit bowls which have reasonable price. But they dont always have them. Safeways prices are high. I have mostly only bought the fruit bowls there.

SAFEWAY has been apart of Northern Virginia for over 70 years, still a really nice store.

This was my go to grocery store before I moved. When I come back, I still go here. Nice selection of organic produce and other organic items...prices are good. Definitely recommend.

Went to the deli to buy Monday fried chicken special. Chicken was good but didnt like the service. The clerk attempted to wait on someone who came after me. I had been waiting for 3 or 4 minutes. Then the other person came up to the counter and that is when the clerk attempted to bypass me. I think it was intentional.

This store was clean. It was very organized and well stocked. I would definitely recommend this place.

Cheap, convenient, and cost-effective. One of my favorite SafeWays is still this one. This is where youll find me if I need anything other than my monthly groceries. Despite the presence of a few smaller stores in the neighborhood, this is my favorite. Its large, well-stocked, and staffed by pleasant people who are always willing to help. There is enough parking, and several self-checkout lines are available for those of us who like to ring up and bag (reusable) our own purchases.

This Safeway have a rude black man working in the meat department very disappointed the boneless chicken was spoiled stink when open at home had to throw it the trash. I noticed all their meats was old and brown this is how people get food poison from spoil meats. I did call and was told to take a picture of the stinking meat and bring my receipt and get a refund.I told the manager that I will not put that spoil meat in my refrigerator period. I will not be buying any meat from this particular safeway store. BAD MEAT.

Suddenly had to use a bathroom in the shopping center and SafeWay was open. Ran out of paper towels but a bit to clean up. Dont sell underwear there unlike a CVS, and didnt carry a spare with me. Liked the clearance choices, danish pastry, two different for me cereals Eggos, SnickerDoodles, and a BlueBerry infused syrup, plus pumpkin bread mix by Libbys (makes 2 loaves not sure what size yet). Clearance 50% off but have to get staff to do that which kinda defeats the purpose of self checkout, and treating off discount stickers as coupons annoying too. Ymmv. Returning a shopping cart from SkyLine Giant by way of PetCo which I thought was PetSmart, so left it for a bit at TJs overnight, went home and other stuff, change shoes, rest etc. Miles without shoveled sidewalks but reflective vest etc. Ymmv

I like this store, even if they are currently reorganizing the layout. I have been able to find everything I need easily. I like self-checkout and the last 2x Ive been there, the attendants have been extremely friendly and helpful. In addition, theres an in-store Starbucks right across from checkout, very convenient on a cold day!

Good variety of products. Not that many employees to help you on the floor.

If you plan on shopping here, make sure you ask the cashier for a Safeway savings card at checkout - it’s free. Without it you will be spending absurd prices.

Pretty normal Safeway. Theres always a good selection of food and drinks. Theres also a Starbucks inside. Lots of parking outside. The checkout lines were not too bad last time I was here.

Excellent place to grocery shop

Went there this morning for the first time in a long time (I usually order groceries online due to the pandemic). An employee named Tina went absolutely above and beyond helping us in the self checkout. She sanitized a cart and brought it over to us to help us take our groceries to the car even though we didn’t ask for one, helped us load our cart, gave us the PLU code for an item we were searching for off the top of her head, etc. all in a span of like two minutes. Amazing customer service!

I love safeway! they have a great selection of fresh produce and flowers. i love the signature brand and feel the products are affordable and of good quality.

While the pharmacy staff is nice and friendly, they are typically overworked. And now that they are giving COVID shots the wait on prescriptions is unreasonably long.

I like the Safeway, there some things, I can not find in other place. The meat department ; it should be small ; with a butcher. That way the meat could be more fresh. 👍

We came for eggs, and left with the knowledge of how to properly taste wine and a nice wine that is over our typical $10 budget (and eggs). Thank you, Al, for loving what you do. It made our visit very enjoyable.

Theyre very organized. I would prefer more selection of fruits and vegetables. Theyre bakery isnt the best in the area. I say that because there are two very popular bakeries within the neighbouring shopping centers. The employees are friendly and are always willing to answer questions. On busy days they dont have enough cashiers to get you out fast. Overall its a good Safeway.

There is always an unwelcoming smell, usually seafood, today it was cat pee followed by seafood. The isles are too close together and the store overall is cluttered. On the positive side the produce always seems fresh and well stocked. The employees are helpful and polite.

Total dump. Boxes with extra stock all over the place, including in the aisles, poorly laid out Floorplan. Looks like a Walmart in redneck country.

Great variety and helpful staff in the self checkout area.

This store was impeccably clean and attractive. The floors sparkled and the aisles were neat add straight. The deli and hot bar is a great spot for lunch. I was very impressed with the size, selection and appearance of this store.

Good prices

Gross woman with some kind of horrific flu was put in charge of running all 6 self checkout lanes. Watched her touching multiple screens over a minute, including mine, and then drip enough bodily fluids that she had to apologize and tell us she wasnt crying. I was, on the inside. It was sick, and I cant believe this person was allowed to interact with customers.

Pretty good as far as Safeways are concerned. The selection is great, the deli is good, the bakery is really good except it is often unmanned and there is no one there to serve the customer, the lines can a little long because for some reason they think its okay to have one or two lines open? Then you have the self service line open bit if a person has alcohol then of course there is the hunt for someone to come over. There is always some sort of malfunction that requires assistance.

Top-notch Safeway. Generally high quality across the board. This location has a great wine selection.

Well... I would like to find the free products i get from you as rewards but i went today to Safeway Seven Corners and could not find the Organic beverage. A week ago I could not find eggs. It was good I found Krishna the manager and he gave me the product days laterr. I saw him today but i did not want to bother him.

Awesome store, helpful staff, clean and well stocked. Only drawback is the self checkout, as these machines never work properly. Not a big deal as the helpful staff will open a lane to get you out of there.

This place? They need more cashiers. Dont even try on a Sunday afternoon. Most popular produce are out of stock. Lines are long. Corporate needs to get them some cashier help.

Clean and well staffed. The staff here is pretty helpful. Parking is usually pretty ample. The only bad thing about this location is that theres always some old entitled people trying to start a riot demanding to speak the manager.

Clean store with pretty much everything you need but checking out takes about as long as shopping. Even on a Sunday, they only had 1 register open with another 15 items or less register. Huge lines everywhere.

I would love to set up a boom box to play Phil Ochs Ringing of Revolution on repeat at the entrance to this store and see what happens.

Clean, organized and lots to choose from. We didnt find the right kind of beef for swiss steak, but we found plenty of other items we needed. Girl helping at the self checkout was fun when we needed to see if everything we were buying was rung up.

Prior to moving to Arlington, I was never a huge fan of Safeway. The Safeway near my old residence was mediocre at best, and the produce was often less than desirable with limited variety. This particular Safeway is much better. Its always very clean, usually well-stocked, the produce is (on average) better than my prior experiences, and they have awesome store-made fresh tortilla chips and queso. My biggest complaint about this Safeway is that the pharmacist is never very friendly. My wife and I have both dealt with her a couple of times, and both of us have had similar experiences.

The food selection here is pretty good but the store layout is very strange. The cold items are on one side of the store and the produce, dry goods and meats are on the other. They’re separated by hygiene, pharmacy and other toiletries. Makes it pretty hard to navigate.

It is safe and convenient but checking out is always a difficult process. Id often rather go to Target next door (more limited selection) or Harris Teeter (further away), but end up here too.

It’s my favorite grocery store to shop in and the staff are wonderful. I always recommend people to shop here. With everything you need, good size store, clean, organized, and helpful staff it can’t get any better!

Came in to buy stuff on the second to last day of a sale. Manager or whoever yelled at us and the nice cashier about there being a limit, even though NOWHERE on the weekly flier or in-store tag did it say there was one. Really *great* business practice by yelling at their customers as if they were stealing.Funnily enough, we stopped by another Safeway in the Annandale area and they said that it was totally fine, because they didnt list a limit!If I ever need to shop at a grocery store, this would be the LAST PLACE I would ever go.

Ordinary store. Short on reasonably priced organics- vegetables and meats usually pricier than Whole Foods or Moms, and that was long before the Amazon purchase of WF. Organic staple foods are very good (good price too) with Trickling Springs milk and Alvarado Bakery bread, although bread not always available. Staff is friendly. Unevenness means shopping at different stores...

I was looking for an item and was looking for an associate for 10min. Finally after finding somebody I had to wait forever at the cashier ....Terrible experience, I was a client before and stopped going there and now I remember why...

Wonderfully diverse selection of products. Had everything I needed and more. Unfortunately, there was a serious shortage of both cashiers and functioning self-checkout machines. No one at the customer service desk. Sad state of affairs.August 2018 update: stopped last week and the only registers open were self-checkout. Seriously. Not one register was staffed by a Safeway employee.

Safeway is one of my favorite grocery stores due to the fact I can earn gas rewards here 20 cents off per gallon for sunoco gas stations if you shop here and this store is very convenient to where I live with friendly staff to help you around, one of the cleanest stores I’ve ever been too, and have amazing sales!
