Did not end up purchasing a sofa because we were on a tight schedule with the moving. But Maria was excellent! She took the time to explain and show us around, and even gave us some great lunch recommendations. She is really knowledgeable, gave us a price breakdown, and showed a lot of care for the customers. We ordered a sofa in November 2019. After waiting 3 months we received the wrong sofa. 3 months later they replaced the sofa but the cushions did not fit the frame properly. I contacted Hamiltons in writing and was told it was an issue with the manufacturer. They wanted to come service the couch to repair but after sending pictures to the manufacturer, it was clear that the frame was not the correct size for the sofa and it was the fault of Hamilton Sofa. On August 2021 we received replacement cushions for the bottom but not the top. The delivery person claimed he had thrown them away. After contacting Hamilton, they responded and said they would get back to me. I still have a large space between the back cushions, big enough that you can fit a giant roll of paper towels between the cushions. There is still a smaller space between the seat cushions. I contacted Hamilton with pictures and inquiries, copying the manager and salesperson I worked with on 2/13/21, 2/19/21, 4/22/21, 5/6/21, 5/12/21, 6/22/21, 7/2/21, 8/13/21, 9/23/21. I also purchased a warranty. If I receive any response at all, they only say they are working on it. I have also copied the owner in my inquiries. I would only buy here if you are willing to deal with headaches and terrible customer service. Most of the items they carry, can be purchased elsewhere.

I stopped into Hamilton’s, after buying some groceries at Trader Joe’s. I just moved to the area, and needed a sofa quickly. I was happy to see that most of the sofas, that they have on display, were in stock. I found a very nice sofa, that I could get delivered within a few days. Plenty of high quality American made sofas, at very reasonable prices. The staff, and our sales person, Alex were very pleasant and helpful. Delivery was fast and without issue.
I have bought a georgeous Leather sofa bed and a really nice Ottoman for my apartment. My children and I cannot be happier. It is a great quality furniture worth every single penny I invested. The mattress that comes with the sofa bed is super comfortable. The Ottoman is spacious on the inside and nicely done. The most important for me is that I ll have space to put things inside and my children can run around without getting hurt. Maria Kuryba was the nice lady who help me along the purchasing process. Always willing to listen to my necessities and answering all my questions in a nice and patient way. She s still helping me finding the right pillows for the couch. Do not shop with this company. It’s an over priced rip off, I bought a two sofas from them and they promised to deliver within 3 months and insured I pay in cash for the items. 5 months later I had no sofa and multiple conversations with them regarding the issue, I asked for my money back and they would not give it back. Then they went on to say suddenly that the sofas were in the country and brought it two days later. At this point I was extremely upset with the situation and got even more upset because I was given a display sofa instead of one brand new. I refused to accept it, so the owner decided to tell me “they could fix it” after paying for something that should not need any fixing upon arrival. If you’re looking for a furniture store go somewhere else unless you want to be over charged, ripped off, and terrible customer service.
Worst customer service I’ve experience. I felt that I was discriminated because i didn’t fit their Criteria. As a young guy looking for a set of Furniture’s for my family, the audacity for them to think I couldn’t afford a set, with their overpriced Walmart quality.
Purchased a sofa and chair from the Falls Church store. At a later date I went back into the store as there was a picture I wanted to purchase. Called Herland Baker and requested he add the picture to my order. He took my credit card info over the phone. When the furniture was delivered on January 17, 2020 the sofa and chair arrived but not the picture. I got a call from Herland and told him the picture was not included in the original delivery. He told me that the picture would be delivered separately. He did not tell me at that time that the picture was on back order until I called several weeks later. I have contacted Herland multiple times checking on the status of the picture delivery. The last conversation I had with Herland was in Late January or early February. He told me to expect a call from Marcello Marquez on February 6 or 7. As of the 7th I have not heard from anyone. I have had to call each time to Herland and other store employees inquiring about the picture which I paid for. I have been ignored, lied to, and put off with excuses as to when my picture would be delivered. Now I find out that I owe a balance on the picture. Although the store carries good quality furniture their customer service stinks. I would not recommend buying anything from them.
We are an older couple and moved into a smaller place. Downsized. So we wanted to purchase some nice furniture that we would enjoy. We were nervous about running into a high pressure salesperson. We went to Hamiltons in Falls Church and serendipity arrived---it was Herland.He is bright, great smile, sensitive and caring. Through several major changes, he took care of us. He is a delight. Over priced
I bought what I thought was a nice leather sectional couch, with the expectation that it would last many years. Three years into owning it, it is peeling just from regular use where we normally sit.I called Hamilton Sofa Gallery hoping they would be able to make it right and was told that after one year, you are on your own.Incredibly disappointing product and incredibly disappointing customer experience. They will never get my business again. If I wanted a couch that was only going to last a few years, I would have just saved my money and gone to IKEA and hoped for the best.
Air Conditioning does not work in the store so you’ll be shopping and sweating. Horrible experience! Customer service is beyond excellent but nobody can conduct businesses when it is a sauna inside the store.
I parked in between their store and Kid to Kid with my sleeping baby in the back...and a rude woman knocked on my window (waking my baby) and told me I couldn’t park there unless I was a customer (there was not a “no parking sign” in front of my car). Customer service is very important to me...and although I wasn’t a customer of Hamiltons today...now I definitely won’t be in the future.
Our first purchase from their Falls Church location was a sectional sofa, which started coming apart at the seams only a month later. We, then, made the mistake of ordering a matching ottoman. When we wanted to check the status of this ottoman, which was supposed to be delivered within 6-8 weeks, at the end of the 8th week, nobody at the store could give us a straight answer. As a last resort, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau..
This place was atrocious. I walked in with my girlfriend and the woman stated that we looked tired and young. She then stated that we were probably on a budget due to our age. We immediately left and I bought a couch at a different store 30 minutes later.
My experience is so dramatic and enlightened by my salesperson, Herland Baker.He made my life and dealings with Hamilton a joy due to his Knowledge, service, personally and sincerity.Overall I was very pleased and would highly recommend the store in Fslls Church and specifically, Herland Baker(👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾).
Never buy your furniture from here, its a rip off at the end of the day and you will not get your months worth. The people here are all very shade with how they deal with customer interactions.
After I moved to my apartment I paid them a visit to get some furniture. They profiled me / foreigner and no one says hello . But they greet others /white people. I left the store and went to Bobs furniture and got $4000 worth of furniture. I will never set foot again .

I had an excellent experience purchasing a stressless sofa through Hamiltons. They did a great job of walking me through the pros and cons of each as well as various commonalities and were very honest about what pricing was available. (Stressless controls pricing on their furniture so it wasnt like they could give me a better price, but they did let me know whether I might be well-served by waiting for a better deal, etc, as well as including everything within their control) and I didnt get any impression that they were trying to pressure me to make a quick decision (I took several weeks of visiting a good number of times, going to other places, etc).The store was also good about setting up delivery although the people who arrange delivery when I received my couch werent very responsive so it took a few calls to make it actually happen. It worked great once I had a delivery date, but, full disclosure, it took a few days to get that from the couch coming in. Now, Ive spoken to them and they say they were in the midst of switching to a new delivery company and that such issues were growing pains, so you most likely wont have the same issue (read newer reviews if you can - I got my couch in September, just took a while to post my review) but I figure if youre anything like me you want all the info you can get to make an informed decision. The couch was delivered in perfect condition and the guys did a great job of setting it up, respected my schedule, etc, so after that hiccup all was perfect.There will always be people complaining that the cheap furniture they got sucks, but these guys seem to do a good job with customer service, and in the sharks den that is furniture stores, thats a rarity.Overall, YMMV, but at least for getting a Stressless in the area, theyre the best place to go.
Disappointment galore. Immediate delivery is now 8 weeks long for a piece of furniture that supposedly was in-stock. Our gray color furniture is now causing us gray hair. 😡Wish we went to IKEA instead (at least you get what you ask for there).
Ok Im going to do an update on this company. First of all my original purchase of two recliner chairs that I paid $800 and something each for now I see from the company who made them cost $399. They were falling apart from the very beginning but they always blame the reason on the customer. Yes they replaced one which for the short time I had them when they did that should have never happened but their furniture doctor that comes out to access the situation wanted to blame the side collapsing on me ramming the chair with a vacuum! Really? I would buy $800 chairs and ram them with a vacuum??? NOT!Now after I gave a bad review the sales manger a year ago (yes its been a year of hell back and forth) but I wasnt given many options other than I could come in and see if there was something in their store equal the price because he wasnt about to refund me. He told me he would meet me at the store and I get there and the associate tells me he wasnt in that he forgot he had a funeral to attend. Forget you had a funeral to attend? Really? So we went to the clearance side and checked out what they had and wasnt finding anything so we went to the side that nothing is on clearance and as we walked to a chair his assic informed us yea like that was out of our league when this person hadnt a clue what league Im in. Very rude!! So after all this we left since she decided to spend her time with a potential sale ( a person that came in after us) because she saw $$$$ verses making me The Customer that had already purchased happy. So then after the fact the sales manager Alex apologized and then sent me several links to other recliners most of which were leather which he knew I was not interested in and showing me some express lane furniture that they discontinue because he decided to be more upscale. Mind you he felt my $800 dollar chairs was pennies of course until I wanted my $ back which the whole time refused. So in the end there was one that had a fabric that had green and pink in it that I felt might be doable since he was out of options and I didnt want to be stuck with two broken chairs so I settled for a paisley material with green and pink and I even asked if it was green tone verses brown and he said yes. I also mentioned I had pillows made with my original purchase and would like two new ones to match the new chairs and he said he would do that for me. Well months and months later, they delivered the right chair but totally different color of fabric so I refused the delivery and sent an email in which he argued for MONTHS it was the right one! Again, NOT! I will attach photos after my review. So in the end i had to settle with them or he was done and no more options even though after hundreds of emails back and forth he still insisted it was the one I chose which was absolute BS! So now after purchasing chairs and pillows originally costing me around $1600-$1700 I am now stuck with two new chairs that do not go with my other furniture but I took them back verses having two broken ones figuring I would sell them since he would not refund me but then I find that the value is like $399 each so what a rip off all the way around!! If you purchase anything and they break it will be YOUR FAULT!!Do not waste your $ on their overpriced Walmart quality furniture!Never again! He said if anything ended up wrong with them to contact him when really?So.......DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!RIP OFF!!You can read more of this on yelp. VERY RUDE! their customer service is the worst and it will always be your fault and the furniture doctor they send out if something is wrong that stinks so bad and will lie through his teeth about what he felt was wrong. We bought a couch over two and a half months ago and it is STILL not here. They said 4-6 weeks, and when it never came, we were promised three different delivery dates that never happened. Today, our couch was finally supposed to be delivered, but the delivery men called us this morning to say they wouldnt come until Monday morning. I am so sick of waiting for my couch.
Very expensive chair didnt last a year, and then the real fun began--took 2 weeks to send a technician to tell me it was broken (duh). Then took 2 weeks to decide they could fix it. Then...I really dont know. I just know never to buy anything from Hamilton, because they have zero support after the sale.
