I just bought my new VW Atlas and it is beautiful but even better than that, were the people I dealt with at this dealership. My salesman, Ryan was truly outstanding in every way; never pushy, always listening to what I really wanted and understood my budget and how important it was for me to stay on budget. He took his time, yet gave me space, unlike other places I went to before coming here. Ryan followed up on every question I had with urgency like I was his only priority yet I know he has other customers, too. I can imagine when you are as good as he is, you are in demand! I honestly hate going to dealerships and dealing with all the sales BS and then the finance BS and I never once had one moment of that with this team at Mattie Imports. Alyssa in finance was also a pleasure to deal with and there was never any sense of pressure by anyone there, yet you felt important and well cared for. Best VW dealership in New England, Hands Down!

Had a great experience here dealing with Ryan Dalomba (and the finance manager Tom Wallentin). The employees were courteous and they worked very hard to make my purchase of a 2018 Hyundai Sonata as painless as possible! I wont be surprised if I come back here before my loans term ends to finance my next car through Mattie Imports. I only have one complaint, and that is that they did not give me a full tank of gas when leaving the dealership. But who can blame them when its 35 - 40 for a full tank these days.

Mar 23, Tuesday - Phone call with Sales Manager discussing purchase, down payment, and pickup the next day (Wednesday) and that Im traveling from out of state. The moment before hanging up to bank transfer the $5000 deposit Im told they do not have the title on hand but Sales Manager promised and assured me they would have it Thursday and it would be FedExd and in my hands in NY Friday.Mar 24 - Car picked up, balance paid in cashier check, was reassured Id have the title Friday or at latest Monday. Im told having only the Bill of Sale would be enough to register in NY. (Lie)Mar 25 - I email to clarify correct address to ship title as my license address does not match residence. I dont hear back from Sales Manager. I get a call from Sales Person as follow-up, I mention Im still just waiting on the Title and express how pleasant the experience was working with them. Ive also been saying as much in every email exchange.Mar 26 - Sales Manager says title will arrive at dealership that afternoon. Also confirms the address change for delivery. (Lie)Mar 28 - No word from dealership, I follow up about title asking for a scan of it so I can register car online. Ive already gotten parking tickets for Registration and Inspection from traffic ticket cops and tell him so. Im assured they are just waiting on dealership owner to get in who would have the title. Theyd already have tracking if it was released.... (Lie)Mar 29 - I ask for an update, mention I can get $140/day in tickets for lack of Reg & Inspection. I ask if a Transferable Registration can be issued. No response.Mar 31 - I email outlining events and that Im getting both frustrated and concerned as its feeling very shady. I have not gotten any reason for why the title hasnt been released. Im polite and thankful. Im assured theyre working on it but still have no update on when VW will release title. I mention that if tickets total over $365 my car can be impounded. That night at 10pm Im told the title was already processed under my name but no update on shipping from VW to the dealership. Sales Manager says they have a call scheduled with VW Credit to resolve and as mentioned, Ill find a way to make it right by you. (Lie) I thank them and reiterate my appreciation for the work.April 2 - Sales Manager: Good news - title has been processed and released. Barring any time restraints because of the holiday, the title should be here Monday morning - I will next day it to you so you have it Tuesday! Sorry about all of this. Im working on getting a check back to you for $420. Ill give you an update Monday when everything gets in. (Lie) I thank them and ask if it will arrive as a check in same FedEx.GhostedApril 8 - I ask for an update, no responseApril 9 - Sales Manager: I thought this was handled already? My goodness - heres the UPS tracking number it went out Wednesday or Thursday. I mention tracking info confirmed they mailed it to the wrong address, my sisters house 2hrs away.April 12 - Title in hand, no check included. I follow up, offer bank transfer as an option.April 13 - Sales manager blames office ladies for delayGhostedApril 20 - Follow up, told it should have already been mailed. Sales Manager is now saying hes fighting to make good on what was already said to be approved and sent out.April 23 - Still no response or update. I say how shocked I am this is how the team decided to handle this, hinting that Im fed up and about to post reviews.April 29 - No response. Reviews submitted.

This was one of the very best car buying experiences. I would like to commend the entire staff. There is no high pressure sales tactics used. Ryan Dalomba was one of the best car salesman that I have come across in a very long time. He was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable.

Highly recommend skipping the service center at this dealer. Twice Jason, the service manager, has tried to scam me out of hundreds of dollars in repairs.First incident was two years ago: I brought my car in for a recall repair, when I went to pick the car up he told me he couldnt in good conscience let me drive off the lot with my car in the dangerous state is was in. Told me if I drove away, my struts could give out and the results would be catastrophic. Didnt sound right to me, so I left. Had the car checked by 3 separate mechanics, all 3 said there was not a thing wrong with my struts. I am still using the struts he told me were dangerous to this day.Second was this week. My battery was recently disconnected for routine maintenance. Stereo system has an antitheft device, if the stereo loses power it needs to be recoded using the VIN of the car, and needs to be done through a dealer. I spoke with Jason on the phone, he confirmed it needed a recode and made me an appointment. Upon my arrival to the appointment, Jason would not even come out to look at the car. Immediately said to me that sounds electrical you need a whole new system, lets make an appointment for you to drop the car off for a week. I told him absolutely not, it was a recode, we spoke on the phone, etc. After coaxing from me, I get him to come out and actually look at the radio. He takes my keys, gets into the car, fiddles with the radio for about 5 seconds and says, you can make an appointment to get a new system or you can leave. I told him Id be happy to leave. He then keeps my car keys and continues to try to pressure me to make an appointment for a whole new system. I called a different dealership and had my radio successfully recoded a few days later for $20.This service manager is either grossly underqualified for his job or he sees women walk in and preys on them. Either way, SKIP THIS PLACE.

Just want to say that I sent my mother to Mattie’s and she was in a Tough spot with her current lease. She wanted to get into her dream SUV Tiguan and Rick the (GM) made it happen. She called me up and said she was treated like Royalty. Thank you Rick and Tom in Finance and to all the sales staff for getting my mom into a new suv. We took delivery on a CPO Touareg just before Christmas. Earlier in December, we had arrived at Mattie just before closing and DJ was able to get an exception for my wife and I to take the vehicle out for a test drive. It turned out to be the car for us and DJ worked with the Mattie team to make it happen. My experience with Shawn and Mattie was excellent. Shawn is a car guy and knows his products (as well as competitors offerings). He took the time to explain the Audi A5, the CPO process and warranty and the differences between the vehicles I was looking at. At no time was I under pressure to buy. At no time did I feel that Shawn was disinterested with my questions or comments. Shawn helped me buy my car, he did not sell me a car. That is a great feeling.I felt that my time was respected and Shawn wanted to make sure I was comfortable with and sure of my selection. I will buy from Mattie and Shawn in the future.

Fantastic, smaller sized, family dealership.There is both an Audi side and a VW side at Mattie. I dealt primarily with the VW side and was able to chat with three salesmen, the sales manager and the finance guy.I physically visited twice, once to demo the auto I was interested in and the second was to complete the deal. During both visits, the entire Mattie team were low pressure and laid back, and had a true interest in automobiles....past and present. The process was so low pressure, each visit felt like hanging around with old buddies discussing everything automobiles.During our first visit, we accidentally showed up later on a Saturday afternoon (didnt realize the hours were shorted due to the pandemic) and two salesmen and the sales manager (Jon Tartaglione) actually looked happy to stay a bit later to accommodate my wife and I, even though most of the visit was just chatting. This friendliness was a primary reason why we continued the purchase process, and eventual sale, at Mattie Imports...and even though the dealership is located over an hour from our home.Because of Covid-19, there was also a lot of talk over the phone between visits. Our salesman, Chris Clark, was always accessible and kept me in constant update on all phases of negotiation, finance and delivery via phone call or text message. During each visit, the entire Mattie religiously followed all recommended safeguards for Covid by wearing masks, social distancing, and using hand sanitizer.The vehicle we purchased was a certified pre-owned from another long-time customer who traded up to a larger vehicle. I went into Mattie Imports on March 19 to purchase a new vehicle. I was told that the only person who could give me a price was the general manager who was off the night I went in. I was there for 2 hours, spoke to 2 salesmen and the finance manager and not one person could negotiate a sale. Tom, the finance manager, told me that he would have Brian (the G.M.) call me the next morning with a price. It is now 9 days later...no call, no email and he didnt return my call from the voicemail I left him. I cant understand why they would waste 2 hours of my time when I visited this location and then refuse to complete a sale. I even called the G.M. the next day and he was conveniently in the meeting the 2 times I called. I left him a voice mail and have waited over a week. To top it off, when I arrived I had to search for someone to assist me. When I did find someone (Colin) another salesman (Alex) walked by us and said (ha ha) to Colin but he said it loud enough for me to clearly overhear. It is clear that this dealership didnt want to do business with me. I can definitely afford the vehicle I wanted to purchase, but they lost a sale and I will NEVER do business with them and I will tell all my friends and family about the bad experience I had with them. After trying to speak to the GM to find out why I was treated this way, I must now take my complaint public to let others know the customer service they can expect from this dealership. If I could give them a negative star rating I would, but I had to give at least 1 star to leave a rating!!!

Still having issues with service department and sales

I recently bought a pre-owned 2015 Q3 from Mattie and had a great experience with Angel our salesman. He was professional, courteous and respected our time throughout the process. He was also always reachable and answered all of our questions. There was also a small issue after we brought the car home that he immediately had taken care of. In this instance a smaller dealer resulted in more personable service. Thanks Angel.

Mattie Imports have done a great job of shepherding me through the difficulties that Audi has had with its legal difficulties. They have kept me informed and up to date as the settlement proceeded. This is my third Audi A6. Its a great car, comfortable, roomy and reliable. Mattie are good people to keep my car running smoothly and reliably.

The General Manager, Brian F. was so personable and on top of everything that had to do with my interest in one of his vehicles. I have never had a car salesman show me more on a vehicle, know more about a vehicles history (my specific vehicle, and its counterparts) and be so knowledgeable about the brand in general.Their office was EXTREMELY organized! I was in and out of the dealership, test-drive and car purchase and all, in no time at all.After making an appointment to see the specific vehicle I had found online, I was in the vehicle giving it a test drive within 5 minutes of arriving to the dealership.After the quick and easy purchase of my car, Mattie associates gave me advice, their personal cell phone numbers and told me to call them if I ever had any questions at all.I signed all of my paperwork with Tom, who was so personable and made the experience so enjoyable for me.Every associate I worked with knew me by name, kept all of their promises without me even having to ask... I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this dealership. I would recommend them to anyone.

He wouldn’t even let me sit in a car without giving him my license and phone # first. When I didn’t want to leave my phone # he told me “I’m not going to waste my time showing you a car so you can go buy it somewhere else”. All I wanted to do was look at the car...not drive it, not price it, just sit in it and see if I was interested since it was my first time looking at an Audi. So I walked out. Too many other dealers around to put up with this treatment.

The price that was listed on Internet was the price I bought my car for. Mattie Imports did not have any surprises for me or hidden cost. The car was just what I was looking for and much more. The sales people were great to work with very informative explains everything and goes over it more than once or twice. Sends you emails and ask if there any question you need answered that please call them or if you have any problems with the car you need done. What more can I say. I had my 1st service check on my car after 2 weeks to see that everything was running properly . Service dept people answer all the question and all to were very informative .The Technician helped me with a problem hooking up my mp3 to the car and also went over the controls with me more to understand the different things to the car. I had my car towed in 10 days ago and I am still getting the run around. No I didn’t buy it from them but it took them 8 days to even look at it. I was told yesterday that it just needed to be reset so when I said I was coming to pick it up, now they want to look further into why it did what it did. Really!!!!! I will NEVER return to this dealer and will tell anyone I know to not waste their time either.......

I just bought an new Audi Q5 in Boston, and was planning to have all the maintenance done here at Mattie Imports from now on since it is close to my home. I went in last month to check out the dealership and asked a few questions about a small seat paint damage I had. The rep I dealt with doesnt seem eager to have me as their future customer. He wouldnt even look up a paint code for the seat for me in the database, and asked me to direct all my questions and requests to the original dealer in Boston.

Mattie is my first and last stop when I need a car. I just completed my third deal at Mattie in the past eight years. Two purchases and a lease. Each time they have bent over backwards to help me. They helped maximize my trade in and get approved for financing even when my credit has been less than perfect. The cars ( 2 A4s and a Jetta Sportwagen) have been fantastic. First I wanna say that the level of unprofessionalism from the management in this dealership is incredible. My husband and I went car shopping today. We were at three dealerships, and this dealership had what seemed to be the best deal that we had all do. So, we jumped on the deal and wanted to lease the car. We wanted the break down of the the pricing, and was told that we could not have this until we sign the paperwork with the finance manager. They wanted us to sign a Purchase Contract stating that we were buying the car before we agreed on a set price. Not once did any of the managers come out and speak with us. So, after waiting almost THREE HOURS I asked how much longer it would be, and one guy said it would be five more minutes. After another 15 minutes I went to the finance managers office, whos card I was given earlier to email my information to. I asked the finance manager how much longer it was going to be. Tom was the manager. He told me exactly I dont know, I cannot make it go any faster. Ive been busy. At this point I was livid I said not at one point did you come to me or tell me Hey we are really busy, It is going to take a little while. I have been in customer service. I get it, but I would have appreciated some contact with someone. Not to be left sitting for almost three hours without speaking to a manger. I would not recommend anyone go here. Do not get me wrong this was not the salesman Seans fault, his management is what lost the sale on a new car. The management is absolutely terrible.

Places a joke and theyre very insulating . I was looking atwhen a salesman ran up to me like it was the first person he saw inand was trying to intimidate me to get inside the building to go over numbers when I told him I was just looking he said to me why are you even here then if youre not going to buy today. Talk about high pressure sales . And dont even get me started with the manager I also brought my already owned Audi in for warranty service and they tried charging me for it but it gets better not only did he try to scam me he also insulting me the whole time

I have bought 4 cars here and currently still driving the car I purchased here a few years ago. I would never get my car serviced here after a few visits. A simple oil change and tire rotation takes about 4 hrs. I understand they are going through a list to check off. But that list is explained in 3 secs when its ready and its basic things I can check myself. Tire pressure, windshield wipers, fluids. What they fail to realize was my dash cam was on the entire time, front and back cameras. Mechanics dont need to be judging my XM radio presets or stand in front of car for 20 min doing nothing but what looks like sorting tools. 🙄. Change the oil and tires and lets go already . They rarely ever have a loaner available. First come first serve. I have had many questionable experiences but have always overlooked them cause of my love for VW and Audi. But will switching brands for a bit .

Bought a used 2016 Audi TT roadster at Mattie - the whole transaction was done remotely. Found a great car in their inventory, spoke to sales rep over the phone, had several very polite negotiation emails with the manager and quickly arrived at a price. They advised me on paperwork and docs i needed on my end for NC. I flew to Providence to collect the car giving them advance warning that I only had limited time to stay at the dealership. The paperwork was all ready to sign, the car was ready to go, and Chris (delivery manager) spent as much or as little time as I needed to understand the car. The whole process was easy, not sales-y, and customized to my needs. Feels like its the ethos of the dealership. I highly recommend Mattie.

I recently went in for service and was completely satisfied. Jay in service was great. He scheduled me with a loaner for a couple days, explained what’s going to happen, and it played out just as he said...aside from my car getting washed, no surprises.

Mattie Imports is a really great dealership. I just leased a Golf Alltrack after driving a rabbit that I purchased from them in 2008. I serviced my rabbit exclusively with Mattie and knowing how great their service department and customer service was determined the dealership I would go to. I was not exactly sure what car I wanted or if I should lease. Glenn was so helpful providing cars to test drive and clearly explaining and answering my questions. He was easy to work with and one of many of the Mattie team to help put me into my new Alltrack. A very respectful and professional dealership.

Bought a new GTI end of April. Started hearing a weird vibration recently, at certain rpms. Brought it in for a technician to hear the sound (hard to induce, harder to trace), and decide where to go from there. For this visit, I was hoping to ascertain whether it was related to engine or transmission.Aaron, the foreman, took a ride with me, and was determined to find and resolve the problem once he heard it. It was difficult to find (very difficult). Ray the service manager stepped in to help. Rather than make me come back (inconvenient, as I live far away), they stepped up and worked on the car, found the problem, and fixed it, all in one visit. Awesome guys, awesome dealership that reminds me of old school service, all but gone these days. Aside: problem was minor (non-dangerous fuel line vibration in the housing), and I have not heard it since leaving that day!

After going to Mattie Imports, Im not sure that I could go to another dealership because of how spoiled I am after my experience. The staff were very helpful and honest with me. John helped me out and I could not ask for anything better than the experience i received. He was knowledgeable and attentive of my needs, and has done a fantastic job with following up with any concerns or questions I had about my Golf. Could not ask for a better experience.

Finding my beautiful 2017 Jetta SE was a pleasure at Mattie Imports. I emailed with Brian first to see if they had some particular vehicles available, and my positive experience started from that very first communication. Glenn helped me make my decision once I arrived at the dealership, and made the entire process feel enjoyable and pressure-free. Once we got to the financial end of things, I felt Tom worked hard to get me the best financing option possible, and was honest and clear when talking with me. Feeling secure during this part of the process was very important to me, and was a positive end to the day. I also had shopped at another local dealer prior coming to Mattie and had a very negative experience there, so arriving at Mattie was like a breath of fresh air! Ill be servicing my Jetta with them, and will certainly recommend them to friends or family looking for a vehicle.

Makes car buying easy!

I unfortunately ignored the bad reviews. I love a lot of the staff there, super funny and are fun to work with. I got a car there two years and I’ve spent almost 4-5k in major repairs. It is now currently in the shop for failed injectors and severe misfire after getting it back from a 1500$ repair last month. Sure, there is basic maintenance that needs to be done but replacing most fuel system components as well as the entire front end of the car and now this current issue, is not basic maintenance.I am soooo underwater in this car or else it would have been gone a long time ago. I was expecting Mattie to stand by their vehicles and offer me some sort of solution but their only solution was to “maybe try and buy another car to get rid of it”. I’ll be taking further action into investigating the certification on this car. It’s unfortunate because this is my 3rd Audi/VW and I used to love them and had next to zero issues. Unfortunately I got a lemon.

Down right best deal as I always compare and contrast at least 3 deals on every car I buy, very good response time, team effort, straight forward, pleasant, positive, and they work very hard to get the customer the best deal. I purchased a new 2013 Audi Q7. Mattie was able to get me the amount I needed for my trade and get the deal done. I live a fair distance from the dealership but they made things very convenient for me. Mike Stenstream was my sales person and he was extremely conscious and followed through on everything. I just leased my third vehicle from Mattie, and I cant say enough good things about the dealership. From general manager Brian Farrington, to the sales team and the service department, they have always treated me like a VIP. They have consistently given me a better price than other Audi dealerships in the New England area (believe me, I shopped around). They pick up and drop off my car from my driveway whenever it needs service, despite the fact that I live an hour away. I get a loaner whenever I need one. The service is scheduled quickly, done properly, and followed up on. I have owned many cars over the years, including several BMWs. I have never had a dealership treat me as well as Mattie Imports does. I recommend them highly!

My experience with Matties was fantastic. The salesman Jonathan T was very helpful through the whole process. Being my first time buying a car, it was important for me to feel comfortable and they made it easy.

Professional sales person, treated with respect at all times. Very dissapointed that they would not even consider quoting me the price advertised as their internet price. Prior to the visit I alluded to the fact that I already had a quote and needed to see if I could get a better one. It was a 25 mile trip to the dealer and I was quite disappointed that they refused to even give me any quote and suggested I take the deal I was offered by another dealer. Well I did, after wasting a few hours of my day.

My experience with Derick was great. The least stressfull car buying experience I have ever had. He was exceedingly friendly, and great for witty banter.

Went to have my tire replaced, oil changed and have a low coolant light checked out. They did everything, it took two days but I finally had my car back and only having to pay the 100 dollar oil change. As soon as I get in it, it was clear something was wrong. Apparently someone didnt fasten a pipe completely and it disengaged my turbo. So I had to bring it back and miss a day of work and I was obviously upset. They told me to try a different dealership next time and not to go back. Awful work done and awful customer service on the managers part. Never go here.

Ive needed VW services a couple of times and they are fair and complete in their estimates and work completion. Newer cars are complex and have many interactive systems. Matties has always done all the work necessary and nothing that was discretionary, unless I specified it in advance. And they wash the cars before you get it back.

I love my 2017 Tiguan...I was not sure I would be either buying or leasing or waiting a year when I entered. I first wanted to test drive the car as I was used to driving Saabs for all my cars back to 1985. I wasnt looking for the ultimate luxury experience, but for a good handling, reliable, and economical car, yet with personality and style. My experience was excellent...everyone on the staff was polite, cooperative and customer oriented. I have had the car a week and have asked a couple of questions, which received immediate responses. I am very happy with the Tiguan and with Mattie Imports. Their attention to everything - including early-on emails noting timely offers, made a difference. I am very happy to have made this decision. I recommend them highly!

I was very nervous about purchasing a newer vehicle after owning a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe for two years and having very few problems with the vehicle but it was time to purchase a vehicle. SALES REVIEW ONLY - My wife and I drove to the dealership from 45 miles away because they had a particular CPO used Audi we wanted to look at. I called in advance to make sure it was available, and spoke with the salesperson Chris Clark. He confirmed the car was available, and said he would have it ready and out front and gave me his cell# to contact to let him know we were close. We arrived and the vehicle was ready for a test drive. Chris was no pressure, and answered our questions. We decided to move ahead with the purchase which involved a trade in. They evaluated our trade pretty quick, and came back with a offer that we knew was fair due to our own research. I believe the sales manager who did the evaluation and worked with Chris for us was Jon, who was also good to work with. (note:as with many dealers these days, the sell price of this preowned vehicle was set -and matched the internet sale price.) We decided to purchase the vehicle and the process was smooth. Tom in Finance was good to work with and was able to get us a competitive rate. We bought the car on a weekend and had to contact the insurance company we deal with on Monday to get the binder, (our choice-not Matties) and return Monday afternoon for the sticker and reg. The paperwork was ready and the car inspected/stickered, and even washed again for us. Overall a very good experience, and would travel back to them if they had another car I was interested in purchasing. Thank you!

Great experience working with Colin, Brian, Tom & Chris. We traded in our VW Passat (owned) for a new 2017 Passat lease. Weve never leased before, so had plenty of questions. Through talking with Brian, we realized leasing was a better option for us (both economically and for the fact that we get a new car every few years). Honest, hard working crew! Lack of customer service / follow-up. Inquired more than once on a vehicle and no response. If your lucky to get a response, the salesman doesnt know the product. Think they should consider selling out or closing the doors.
