This place is one of a kind in this area. Mike has a HUGE selection of lumber and is very knowledgeable about every piece of it. I was in a tight spot building a bar for my business, I heard about Mike and gave him a call. He didn’t know me from Adam but still went out of his way to help me out and get me the slabs I needed the same day I called him to allow me to be finished in time for the Grand Opening. Great guy, great company.

I have purchased hickory, curly maple, red oak, walnut, and various live edge slabs. All great quality. The best part is that Mike goes out of his way to help. He planed some slabs down for me, and cut some other slabs. You will not find better lumber anywhere.

I needed some birch wood billets/blanks so a family member can turn a couple baseball bats for my 12 year son. I can find maple and ash blanks everywhere online, but not birch...at a reasonable price. I contacted Mike at Holt Lumber Company about my conundrum and he got us exactly what we needed. Within a few days, he obtained a birch log and cut me out some blanks. The price was very affordable and the customer service was on point. I can’t wait to go back for future woodworking projects. It’s nice to have a local lumber company, especially one with exceptional customer service.

Awesome place to get quality lumber! Mike is very informative and knowledgeable about all the lumber he cuts and stocks. He took the time to show me all the different species to ensure I would get the look I was after for my project. Mike also gave me some very useful finishing tips! It’s definitely worth the short drive from Pittsburgh!
