My friends and I have been enjoying the food here at Las Vetas! I think the overall atmosphere brings a lot to the table! Definitely recommend trying them out.

I used to frequent here all of the time when I was in high school with my friends. We loved coming here for the open mic nights and to spend a Friday or Saturday night. I’ve since moved out of Connecticut and find myself missing this little coffee house so I googled it and looked at the reviews.I wasn’t disappointed. I love the snarky responses from the owner to the entitled people leaving one-star reviews over something ridiculous.I’ll be visiting Connecticut before moving to the United Kingdom for graduate school in September and will need to stop by this coffee shop one last time with some friends to relive the memories. My friend went to this restaurant and how dare the owner disrespect him and his friends simply because they were not “customers”. Isn’t that the point of a coffee shop for anyone to be welcomed and to sit down and have a good time? The owner of course is a WHITE person and did not even bother to say my friend’s name correct. He just assumed and said something else when his name is pretty simple to pronounce and say. Very bad management, I would not recommend this place at all to anyone especially for pointing micro agressions towards the Latino community and still has the audacity to laugh at my friend’s face when he even tried to speak with the owner. Just plain disrespectful!

If i could give this place - stars i would. We brought water and a bagel from our home. Within just a minute of setting my laptop up to study for finals, my friends and I were yelled at by the management “food and drink. OUT NOW. GET OUT” right in our faces and pointed to the door. Meanwhile, we had just been there yesterday purchased food and drink from them. And we were waiting for the line of 7 people to settle down before putting a coffee and food order in. Do not assume I am not a paying customer and embarrass your customers in front of other paying customers. It causes a scene and is not a proper way of managing your business. So, my friends and I will now be taking our business elsewhere and I hope others choose to stay way. Congratulations.

The way this owner responds to people who have visited his business and left their honest review from their own experience is just very unprofessional... I wanted to go but after reading the lowest reviews I changed my mind real quick!There are better ways to go about handling a bad experience rather than calling them “jihad” or “jihadist” like what is that?They have a latin inspired name but the owner is white (which is not a problem) but how are you going to be a micro aggressive owner of an establishment with a Latin inspired name?

Grabbed a table and took a picture of the menu to figure out our order as its our first time here. When the owner yelled at us and said a seat deserves an order. Really liked the aesthetic and was excited to order, but he definitely extinguished that.I understand the stressful economy, especially during this Pandemi Lovato, and I understand the frustration of owning a business. However, you should refrain from taking it out on your [first-time] clients, as it blocks potential customers. I even tried to talk to the owner like a person (as one would think you should) and he dismissed me and laughed in my face...Anyway, my friends and I tried out this nice Poké place called, Pokémoto. Delicious food and great service! Be sure to tip well!

I love the ambiance and the decorations. However, the espresso is really bad! I was disappointed each time I ordered espresso there. When someone puts a twist of lemon peel on the side of your espresso it means that the espresso is undrinkable.

I love Las Vetas Lounge! They have great coffee and good choices and they have good food as well. If youre ever around here get the corn muffin warmed with little butter.. it is absolutely to die for!! The only reason that I didnt give it a 5 is becuase it can use a good cleaning. I think the owner wants it to be a laid back rustic type vibe, but the entire place can use a good sweep and mop, but that doesnt stop me from coming back for a good corn muffin.

Great latte with foamy almond milk, flaky croissant and perfect fried egg! I love this place and the decor is absolutely charming funky! The staff goes out of their way for you!

Very cozy. Although I dont like going there when theres too many people because people stare at you. Friendly staff and good drinks and dessert. Nutella coffee- the only place Id seen it was in Chicago and I was pleasantly surprised they have it here. I used to go here after school or during a free period in high school and it never disappoints. I liked the tres leches cake too. Although I could have done without the frosting since it tasted like buttercream which Im not a fan of. Great place to hang out or do work.

Its a really cozy and chill environment. If you like the Beatles and coffee this place is definitely for you. Even if you have no clue who the Beatles are its a good place to study or just grab a sandwich.

This place has a unique style out of 60s height Asbury era. This summer might be the summer of love for you if you stop by. You will love it that much.

Wonderful mix of people. Little bit of everything. Relaxed vibe. Very clean. Comfortable seating. Oh ya, the coffee and food is pretty good. Not the best cappuccino Ive ever had, but its up there, its a little bit to hot, but I wait 5 mins and its golden. I love a cafe that has cermamic cups for staying in. They dont have set, every time its some different, love it! If Im going to have a coffee while I sit on a couch, disposable cup is so wasteful, Im glad they use cermamic.

Fantastic place to hang with a friend. Had a bite of their peanut butter banana pancakes that my friend got, hashbrowns, and I got an egg on wheat toast -- everything I tried was delicious!! I also got the iced turtle latte, and that was yummy too. Already planning on coming back, staff is incredibly friendly!

This place is fantastic all the way through. The drinks are delicious - the coffee in particular is really nicely brewed, with plenty of body - and the two sandwiches we had (chicken cutlet and tuna) were incredible. The tuna in particular was wonderfully fresh.The vibe is exactly what youd want from a New England cafe: plenty of folks just enjoying the afternoon or working quietly, with ample space between the seating creating a relaxed ambience. If I could rate it higher than five stars, I would!

Andrew is the man!! The vibe in this place is great. I work here regularly, they have great coffee, breakfast sandwiches and pastries. I highly recommend their hot and iced coffees. Support your local businesses not the big chains!!

Eclectic, relaxed place to hang out for a great cup of coffee, pastry or breakfast sandwich. Get it in a cup to go or cool mug to stay - no two are alike! I hear its fun evenings too but Ive never been.

Funky is a very assertive word to describe this place. I felt like I was living back on the 70s for a second. Its chandeliers remind of old Circuses with monkeys, lions and gorillas(?). Its a very odd but comfy atmosphere. The large coffee is pretty large. So if you dont feel like drinking tons of coffee, order a medium or small. Overall a great place to chill.

I loved Las Vetas Lounge! I Thought that their homemade blueberry muffin was great, the hot chocolate was delicious and I loved how cool it is like the style and everything. And, they even put whipped cream and marshmallows in my hot chocolate! It was great! Its a really unique place and I walk past the starbucks( which is closer) so I can go to Las Vetas lounge. I also loved how nice the staff was and the service was pretty snappy

Great atmosphere to meet someone for coffee and hangout. Limited seating but usually I can find a seat. The girls behind the counter are great. Definitely understaffed the last time I was in there. They were working their butts off! I usually get a medium cappuccino with almond milk. Its amazing how foamy it gets :)

Was having a cup of coffee when the owner started cursing at a nice girl for not ordering anything. She said she would and apologized but he did not give her a chance. How sad. He then kicked her out of the store. And...to think I went there to relax. Very bad move. I will not be going back here. I feel sorry for that girl. I dont think she deserved to be treated in such a manner. He should apologize to her if he gets the opportunity.

I never leave a review for anything, but after reading the last two reviews I decided to write one. Ive gone to Las Vegas for years. Great coffee, comfortable, and good service. Ive gone there alone when Im bored, with my daughter, with friends, and with a date. The owner has always greated me with a smile and the girls that work there have always been friendly. They also have food, snacks, smoothies, and other things. Check it out for yourself.

Staff is very unfriendly and unaccommodating. the manager talks in a demeaning way to customers and will get angry if you take up space or stay too long. I work in the restaurant business and it is not on the customer to finish quickly. if there is no space, then thats how it is and people have to wait. coffee is alright and the place is cute but no one wants to be watched and stood over while enjoying a cup of coffee or working.

Okay, long story/amazing recommendation, so BEAR with me. A couple of weekends ago I took my kiddos to Connecticut for a family reunion. One morning I needed to get some breakfast and my cousin recommended Las Vetas Lounge in Fairfield, CT. It was the cutest place; so many eclectic things decorated the entire store and the kids asked me to take pictures of too many things, including a mug with a pup that looks just like our own pup. The girls at the counter were patient and sweet, the food was delicious, coffee strong, and it was a great experience.Queue about 8 hours later... we’re on the road home to NH and Weston wants his favorite stuffed bear, Taggy. I panic: the hotel, my aunt and uncles house, the breakfast cafe... where in CT could it be? My parents went back to look all over my uncle’s. Nothing. I called the hotel. Nothing. I called Las Vetas. Nothing. But they asked me to call the next day just to check in. So I called the following day and they apologized and said they didn’t find it, and I honestly just assumed West dropped Taggy in a parking lot and it was a lost cause. I didn’t even leave my name and number.A whole entire week later, my phone rings early one Sunday morning and the voice on the other asks me if I had lost a teddy bear 🧸 The owner, Andrew, seems shocked that he found me - I’m assuming he went through the caller ID or something because I honestly never gave them my contact info. He said he was cleaning the lounge and found Taggy tucked onto a small shelf (this does not surprise me with Weston.. always putting things in little places). I was so shocked and thankful, and Weston was over the moon - Taggy found, and he’d be traveling through the mail to get home.Not only did Las Vetas deliver Taggy home, but to West’s surprise when he opened the package, the owner, Andrew, had HANDMADE Taggy his very own throne to sit on. He hasn’t stopped carrying it around and can’t stop talking about it. I was completely blown away at the thought that went into returning Taggy - to even have him home was a gift enough, but to have a special gift given with his return was even greater.There are still good people out there - and I’m thankful I was on this end of it. Also, in owning a business with Tyler, I know how important good word is and how reviews can impact a company, its employees, their families, and their community. I’m sharing this here and everywhere else I can. If you are going to Fairfield, or just going through or near there while in Connecticut, make sure you stop in and experience this wonderful cafe.

Man it is ok but the regular coffee isnt that great and their mixed drinks have been falling flat for a good while now. I would place the food as mediocre too. Where Las Vegas really shines is in the atmosphere. Its got a very interesting vibe to it and it feels like all sorts of people gather there. I wouldnt go for just the coffee but if you look in the drawers of the furniture theres a lot of love notes and honestly theyre comedy gold. Treat yourself to a reading session. 3 yeehaws out of 5.

Great during the mornings. But service is uneven, especially in afternoons. Sometimes the young servers dont know the menu, dont refill the coffee fixings counter until you ask, and they forget if youve paid or not. One young lady wearing sunglasses obviously couldnt see the drinks she was making very well!! But it was fun to watch. Food is ok. What I love most is the eclectic collection of stuff on the walls. Great place to chill.

Been coming here for a while now, its always pretty chill. I like the way they serve the loose leaf tea, and let you steap it yourself.The only time its not so chill, is when they have a band/singer that does not understand the concept of tiny room=tiny volume. Your not auditioning for X-factor, AGT, The Voice, etc. Your supposed to be creating a nice ambiance for some people sipping coffee/tea. Its like hiring a hard house, or heavy metal DJ, for a wedding that really just wanted a little Sinatra, or jazz.

Coffee was decent and the staff was pleasant. Found this place online and went for a date. They informed me they would be closing prior to her arrival, contrary to the hours on the door and web. I suggested a website with posted hours to prevent this sort of thing in the future, they said the owner was not tech savvy. Theres a van up the street (a little creepy) which seems to be owned by the business. It has an infowars sticker on it. You know, the guy who thinks Sandy Hook was a conspiracy. Make of that what you will.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Owner is extremely disrespectful to his customers. Went to this lounge yesterday to meet up with an old friend and after he left I stayed behind to send a quick e-mail on my computer. Owner abruptly and rudely came up to me saying he had been watching me on the cameras and didnt want to police me any longer to see if I would get a coffee. He then immediately demanded me to leave, saying, you gotta f****** go. I was in utter shock! He didnt ask me if I wanted a coffee, tea, water or anything - which I would have gladly purchased if he had offered me kindly. Instead he treated me with disrespect and made a HUGE scene saying he would call the police if I didnt go and loudly announced to everyone in the place I hadnt even purchased a water for $1.50. No owner of any legitimate establishment should treat people this way.Never in my 30 years of going into any public place have I been so mistreated and disrespected. Look through google reviews and youll see this is not the first time hes done this. This owner is known for these sort of outbursts on his customers. If youre looking for a place to be stalked through cameras, forced to buy something, and publicly disrespected - this is the spot. I wouldnt even recommend this place to people I dislike.
